The Sinner | Season 4 Episode 2 - "Part II"

Hello!

So, here I am again, with episode 2 now. 

Well, it looks like I was right about something - the relationship with the Lam family. As I suspected, Percy did have a relationship with CJ Lam, the son of the owners of the restaurant. But, as expected, there was a lot more to it and, to be honest, I'm read some really interesting theories on the season might be going so... Let's talk about everything we found out in this episode.

Everything begins with finding CJ's fingerprints in Percy's car. Present with this, CJ says he only got a ride from her. However, Harry recognizes one of the trinkets that he found last episode at the restaurant. Post that, he also sees red dirt on the tires of CJ's car, which could only be found where they also found Percy's car. So he goes there and talks to Diez, a drug dealer that confirms that CJ was there the night that Percy disappeared. 

After that, and after being attacked by someone (that they suspect is someone from Percy's family), CJ admits that he had a relationship with Percy and tells everything to Detective Ambrose. He admits that she basically got him addicted to drugs and then, suddenly, left and now, she came back, and never really reached out to him... Until the night she disappeared, and that was when she got the head injury. 

Later on, Lou and Harry tell Meg that it wasn't CJ and that's when Meg says that she saw Percy's head wound, which she couldn't have because she said that the last time she saw her was at 7pm, and the injury happened later that night. 

Post this, we can only suspect that Meg is lying and, to be honest, I think Lou is hiding something as well. He can't be that bad of a cop - he's definitely working with/for the Muldoon family.

Some theories I saw online said that they might be trafficking drugs and she didn't want to do it anymore and so she faked her death. It's a solid theory, but doesn't explain the cult things... Also, I'm pretty sure the trinkets are things that remind her of the people that she loves the most. For what, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure we'll find out who the other two things belong to in the next couple of episodes. Then, there's also the possibility that she got pregnant and that's why she left for 6 months (that was what CJ said, if I'm not mistaken) and her family wanted to cover that. Why? Maybe she was assaulted by someone in the family? That just came to my mind and it makes sense... We'll see.

This episode wasn't as intriguing as the last one but surely gave us a lot of clues and I'm super interested in knowing where this is going.

The Sinner | Season 4 Episode 1 - "Part I"

Hello everyone!

I'm finally here with The Sinner's brand new season! I really debated if I should still cover it here on the blog but you guys said on twitter than you still wanted my thoughts so... Here I am!

Right away I can tell you that I'm interested. The mystery in this season looks juicy, but it does remind me of other TV shows, such as True Detective. From what we've got so far, it also leads me to believe that the outcome will be similar to Season 2 but... I hope it's not. I would love to have a different thing. Also, something different from the previous seasons is that this one doesn't follow a murder but a disappearance. Not as interesting, in my opinion, but I'm still curious. Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, this is the only season that connects directly to the previous one so... That's new. Not necessarily better though, because we have the return of that painter woman that Harry liked last season and I'm still not a fan of her and I still don't trust her. I would rather have just Harry back but... Oh well...

So, this season takes place in an Island, which is interesting and small town islands always give us some interesting stories (Midnight Mass, The Third Day). Harry and Sonya are going to spend some time there and, on a stroll through the island, Harry meets this young woman - Percy Muldoon - who apparently is part of this famous and wealthy family from the island. They have an interesting conversation about nature and how the ocean will soon speak to Harry.

Later that night, Harry decides to take a walk, again, and that's when he hears some weird noises in the woods, follows the noises, sees Percy, follows her and sees her step off a cliff's edge to the ocean below. Harry assumes the worse and calls the police. However, the police doesn't really believe him and Percy's grandmother and the rest of her family also get suspicious about Harry. 

But, because we know Harry, we know that he will obviously keep looking into this case and that's when he, the next day, gets back to that same cliff, searches the area and finds some trinkets. He takes this trinkets to the police and it's pretty obvious that the police there has no idea how to deal with a case like this and that's why not only the chief asks for Harry's help but also Percy's family asks for it as well - they have seen his record and know the cases he has worked on before. That's when he goes to the Muldoon house, searches Percy's room and find some interesting things.

Lastly, he goes look into the CCTV footage of the pier, and sees Percy kneeling before then fleeing a shadowy figure.

As I said, it's an interesting case that, to be honest, has some cult vibes, but I kind of hope I'm wrong. I also think there's something to do with the other family that is sort of a rival to the Muldoon family so... We'll see. But I guess that's it from me for now.

I know I still have 4 more episodes to review so no spoilers please and just bare with me... They are coming! The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 1 - "One More Time"

Hello everyone and Here's to a new All Stars season!

I gotta be honest with you though - I'm not that excited about this new season as I am for the main season. I know, that might be a controversial opinion because all I see is people excited about having these OGs back but... The truth is, I didn't grow up with this contestants. I can say that I'm kind of more into the New School era, even though I started watching The Challenge on Season 25 - Free Agents so... it has been more than 10 seasons. I did watch a few of the older ones such as Cutthroat but, basically, I'm missing 20 seasons of the challenge and so, because of that, I don't have the attachment to these players that most people do. With saying that, there's also a few other things that did not make me excited about this episode.

First of all, the actual challenge. I know that they weren't supposed to do it that way but they did and, because of that, the challenge looked way too easy. Also, I know that these are older people so maybe they have to make easier challenges but I don't think that's fair so... This daily challenge was disappointing.

Then, there's the elimination - which didn't happen. We didn't even get into the nominations part and that really annoyed me! I hate when the episodes don't follow the formula - challenge, nominations, elimination. And again, I get that they had to introduce all the contestants but they could've done a 1 hour episode instead of a 40 minutes one or they could've premiere two episodes. Tons of shows do that now - a two episodes premiere - so they could've done that here because, the way they did it, just left me really disappointed.

And apart from that, I don't think there's anything more to say. I liked the winning pair - Derrick and Jodi. I like that there's more people that I like/know this season than in the previous one, although now I know a lot of the ones that were in Season 1 as well. But that's it. There wasn't any drama and they didn't even get to the nominations so there's not a lot to predict. Also, I didn't understand the whole voting system so... I'm going to have to wait for the next episode to really figure out how this whole thing works.

But yeah, let me know what you thought of this season premiere and if you're liking this more than the actual main season and let me know, as of now, who are you rooting for. I don't have a lot of people that I really like, but I guess I'm rooting for Derrick, Darrell, Cohutta and Jonna. I need to see more of everyone else to get me invested.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 14 - "Maverick

Hello people!

Who would have thought?! The one time I say Emerald Team is going to win they don't f*cking win!! I'm not mad though. I'm actually glad that I was wrong this time! Because now, things changed and, because of that, we have ton of things to talk about.

First of all, I made the wrong assumption about that conversation between Josh and Amanda. I mean, her intent was the same, but actually, the conversation happened even before the daily challenge, and I thought it took place after, and that is why I thought Emerald was going to win again.

Actually, it was pretty close between Sapphire and Emerald. Unfortunately, Ruby didn't stand a chance. They didn't even finish the challenge. But luckily Sapphire pulled it through and, although I'm not super into them, it's better than having Emerald winning again.

What I did predict though, was Amanda going in. I mean, I think I said Big T was probably going in, which she ended up going anyway, but Amanda was the Agency vote which was not what I was expecting. It did make sense though, because Big T said that she would leave Ruby and go to Sapphire and neither CT nor Logan wanted her in the Sapphire Team so they thought it would be best to pick Amanda. Plus, she always said that she wanted to mess with the Emerald Team so... And because of that, I even though she was going to pick Nany to go against so she would beat Nany and then take Tori's place but... That didn't happen like that.

But, we need to talk about the elephant in the room - Ashley leaving. It certainly was really sudden and left us all wondering so, of course, we went to the internet looking for answers. In a way, I think MTV played this the wrong way because, if they wanted to hide something, this made everything worse. Basically, Ashley had a fight with Josh and, from what I understood, she called him out for being gay?! I don't know... Nelson said in an IG Live that it was worse than just that and she was drunk but basically that was it. 

In my honest opinion, if they wanted to hide everything, MTV should've just cut that argument and leave her in the game, because now we just went looking for answers and found out anyway. But, like Nelson said, it was really that bad and she said some nasty things, I guess MTV played they cards well. The truth is, by not even addressing anything that happened, they just left us wondering, protected Ashley from getting hate and protected themselves from having Ashley in the show and made possible to keep asking her into the show because, let's be real - she's an asset to them. But post that, let's get back to the episode...

The elimination was actually really good and it was pretty even. Obviously I was rooting for Big T (even though I wanted to see Amanda shake up the Emerald Team) but, unfortunately, Big T lost... It was sad but... Guess what?! Big T came back! Because of the whole thing with Ashley, TJ decided to call back Big T and have her join the Ruby Team again. As for Amanda, she did what she wanted to do - take Tori's place. I liked that, to be honest. I'm still rooting for Ruby because Kyle and Big T, and now I think they have a better chance, to be honest. Also, I'm super curious to see how Emerald does now without Tori there and with Amanda in her place - that should be interesting!

So, yeah, that was it for this episode! One of the best episodes this season definitely! Let me know what you thought of the episode, where you happy that Sapphire won? The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 13 - "Titanic"

Hello everyone!

I don't even have to say anything (about The Sinner) have I? I'm actually debating if I will even start my reviews on the new season so, if you really want me to, let me know because we're on episode 4 already and I haven't even started. But we're not here to talk about The Sinner, we're here to talk about The Challenge so, let's do it.

What can I say... This was another boring episode. Boring because it was the same old Team winning and the same old rookies going into elimination. I mean, things did change a bit when it comes to the elimination (which I'll get into in a minute) but as far as daily challenges go, it was the same as in the previous 5 episodes or so and it's getting really tiring and honestly annoying! 

Every single week is the same thing - I predict that the Ruby Team will win and they never do. They get close, but just like Cory said 'close is not close enough', and it just annoys me that it's always the Emerald Team to win. This time I didn't even want the Sapphire Team to win, but Emerald winning is even more annoying. Mostly because they just have the advantage of having more people and, for most of these challenges, they benefit of having more people. I guess the other teams just have to win in order to not loose people but, once they won the first time, they already had an advantage so... It's just not really fair for most of these challenges. 

Then, there's also the fact that no one takes a shot on going into their team! I mean, I can't blame them, because I wouldn't want to either, but someone has too in order to have other teams winning and, until this point, no one had the guts to do so, and that's the only reason why I wanted Cory to win the elimination because, yes, he was the Agency vote.

There was this whole thing about them not sending Logan in which, I get it, but I like Logan so I didn't want him to go into the Lair, but well... He went anyway because Cory picked him. So, on that regard, the episode was pretty intense - the elimination was good and got me really torn on who I was rooting for. On one hand we had Cory, who I don't hate and would love to see mess up Emerald's game, but on the other hand we had Logan, who I really like and is a rookie and usually I'm rooting for the underdogs so... I guess, deep down, I was rooting for Logan because I was happy when he won! But I really wanted to see someone infiltrate Emerald. Oh well, not this time.

However, Logan did infiltrate the Sapphire Team and took Kyle's place, who got back to the Ruby Team, where I started. And I guess, because of that, I keep on rooting for Ruby. Although, right now, I don't think they really have a shot, not without Cory (who was the one holding that team together) and not after that preview.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure Emerald will win again because the main focus of the preview, or what I remember the best, is Josh saying to Amanda that he wants to run the final with Nany and Kaycee, which just leads me to think that Emerald will win, they will throw Amanda into elimination, who will most likely pick Big T to go against (cause she's not going to pick Ashley and I doubt she will pick Emy either) and, because we saw in an earlier preview Tori with a red arm thing, I'm pretty sure Amanda wins and takes Tori's place (which matches with what Josh said). Of course I would prefer Big T to win and I actually think she would go to Emerald as well and actually take Tori's place too so... I don't know... Something tells me that Amanda wins though, but I hope I'm wrong.

And I guess that's it from me. Overall this was a pretty boring episode with the only nice thing being Logan wining the elimination... and that's it. Let me know what you thought and what do you think is going to happen on the next episode and yeah, I'll talk to you on my next rant.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 12 - "500"

Hello everyone!

Once again, I'm well aware that I still owe you three rants of The Sinner and I'm working on that. But first, we gotta talk about the new episode of The Challenge!

This is their 500th episode and it couldn't have been worse. Not only the same old team won but also there was just bad vibes throughout the whole episode with the Bettina thing. I feel really sorry for that girl because literally no one wanted her there, just Cory, and for that, I gotta appreciate Cory because he showed that he is a good person and a good friend and, honestly, made me like him a lot more.

But yeah, this episode really pissed me off with the whole Emy thing and, if I didn't like her before, I really don't like her now! I just get weird vibes from her and, honestly, she's so obnoxious! I get it, she's strong and, as a team partner she might be a good choice (or not, we'll find out in the next episode) but she's not stable and yeah... Don't like her.

So everything about this episode revolved around those two. The actual challenge was pretty cool, but as I said, the usual team won (Emerald) and team Ruby sucked! I was kind of rooting for Sapphire here because of Bettina, but right now, I think I'm back on rooting for Ruby.

When it comes to the nominations, things got a bit more spicy. Bettina wanted to be the house vote so she could pick her opponent, and I think that's a smart move. But Amanda sensed that her ass could go to the elimination if the agency picked Bettina, so she said that if she went into the lair, she would switch to the Emerald ream that's the last thing Emerald Team wants - they want to stay together - so, because of that, they went with Emy. And that worked out fine for CT's plan to get Emy on the Sapphire Team.

Yes, Emy picked Bettina and Emy won. So freaking annoying! And yes, Emy took Amanda's place and now Sapphire Team is what CT wanted - him, Kyle, Ashley and Emy. Yes, it does look like a strong team, but it's not just about strength, it's about communication and, to be honest, Ruby Team looks better now on that department - with Cory, Nelson, Logan,  Big T and Amanda. 

To be honest, I think they have a chance now and, from the preview, we know that Sapphire doesn't win and Tori says "Let the games begin" so... Does that mean that Emerald Team is on the chopping block?! I don't know, but I sure hope so.

With all of this I just got really mad, felt really bad for Bettina and just want other Team to win that's not Emerald. I'm sick of it!

American Horror Story: Double Feature | Season 10 Episode 10 - "The Future Perfect"

Hello everyone!

Ugh! I'm so pissed off! What a f*cking mess this AHS finale was. And what a disappointment! I was so excited with Part 1 and I was actually hopeful that this would be a good season but... I was wrong! This Part II just turned this whole season into complete garbage and I'm seriously annoyed at the fact that the series is renewed and I'm going to have to endure more of this. I mean, things might change but, after years of not so great seasons, I think this was time to stop. Well, hopefully they'll see the awful reviews this season is getting and they'll change some things *cough* writers *cough*.

But so, what was this ending?! Well... I don't even know myself. This felt so damn rushed and, to be honest, this last episode didn't give me anything new. This didn't feel like an ending at all and it was more like a filler episode.

The part of the episode 'in the past' left me so confused with some new story-lines that, to be honest, didn't really matter that much - I guess that was just to tells us that Mamie stayed young for a long time and is still present in Area 51, and that's when we move to present day and see the aftermath of what happened in the last episode. And not even that was handled that well. 

We see security finding the 'baby' which they kill, Theta gets mad at that and kills the security team, Jamie and Kendall go look for Troy and Cal and when they find them dead, Theta appears and induces them into labor. Jamie's baby isn't what they need so they kill the baby and kill Jamie, but Kendall's baby is the perfect one so they decapitate Kendall and turn her into a 'making babies machine'.

Meanwhile, Mamie finds out that the aliens plan is to kill all human race and repopulate the world with their hybrids and, learning this, she decides to kill the 'baby machine' as well as the baby so that will buy them more time. She tells that to Theta who appears to agree with that plan but, as expected, she doesn't and then kills Mamie and Calico, who was working with Mamie, says that she disagrees with Mamie and she stays there as the 'baby machine' is ready to give birth to another hybrid. And that's how this awful season ends.

Seriously, I'm so mad at this and I don't have faith in American Horror Story anymore. I'm going to keep watching, at least to laugh at their awful choices but part of me is still hopeful that things might get better so... We'll see.
