Spoiler Alert!
I feel like I say this a lot but, once again, I felt like this episode was kind of a filler episode.
I know this was an important episode to understand the last two ones but still, I felt like it was a little bit boring and, for that reason, a little bit of a filler.
Nonetheless, it did have some cool things like, for example, the return of a lot of characters, such as Lonnie and Felicity's dad, Noah aka The Calculator.
So, the episode starts right where the previous one left off, which is kind of new. I believe not much of Arrow's episode start that way so, a point for this episode. Anyway, so, Darhk is taking over the world's nuclear missles and, of course, Team Arrow is thinking of a way to stop Darhk, and that's when they face the fact that they might need someone else's help, and that someone else is no other than Felicity's dad.
Obviously, Darhk knows that Felicity's dad might be able to stop him so he send two other characters that we know well, Danny Brickwell and Michael Amaro, to kill him. But, obviously, Team Arrow arrives there in time to 'save' Felicity's dad.
Noah (Felicity's dad) agrees to help them but he needs something that Felicity has in Palmer Tech, and that's when Felicity (and Team Arrow) face another problem. Felicity ends up being fired from the company and so they have to work on a plan to get that thing that Noah needs to help them.
And, you might have already guessed by now (or already know because I assume you've watched the episode before reading this) Team Arrow gets what he needs.
Later, that's when things start getting (even) worse. H.I.V.E. finds out where the Team are when Noah hacks into "Rubicon"and go after them. Felicity and Noah end up being attacked, even though everyone outside were fighting to keep Darhk's men from getting in, which messes everything up.
They manage to stop all the missles but one, which is heading to Monument Point.
That's when something that I wasn't really expecting happen.
Ok, the missle didn't detonate in Monument Point but it ends up detonating in other city, because that was the only thing Felicity was able to do, redirect it to a less populated town.
Usually we see everything 'ending up fine' but this time Team Arrow couldn't stop it for good. Yes, they managed to make it less damaging but still. That I wasn't expecting.
And, something else that I wasn't expecting was the very last scene, when Oliver finds where Darhk is hiding and we see all that magic around Darhk and going inside him.
That was a huge cliffhanger!
Than, appart from all that, we had some flashbacks, as usual.
We see more about the idols but, to me, anything really important or exciting.
Oh, also, about Lonnie's appearance.
In this episode we also see a little bit of what's happening inside the place where Thea is. Turns out that's not a place to keep Thea locked, but a place for everyone that Darhk thinks that deserves to live and so they're protected from all the nuclear missles. Of course, Thea is there because of Malcolm.
And so, Lonnie ends up there because he's after Darhk. Malcolm finds out about Lonnie and so he 'teams up' with Thea to try and stop Lonnie. She ends up stopping him but, to be honest, how don't really know what really happened to him. We see him laying on the ground, but still alive, and that's the last we see of him in this episode.
I think we might see him in the next episode because I think he might be the one to get Thea out of there to join Team Arrow to help save the world.
And yeah, this are my thoughts about this episode.
Let me know in the comments which are your thoughts and what are your predictions for the last two episodes of the season.
Until then...
Love,
Daniela.
