American Horror Story: Apocalypse | Season 8 Episode 8 - "Sojourn"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people and here I am, finally, with the American Horror Story rant!
Unfortunately, I don't come with a good rant. This episode really let me don't and it was, for sure, the worst episode of the season.
Just like I predicted, this was another flashback episode (aka another filler) but a good one. This one focused only on Michael bringing back Ms. Mead and I just think they could've shortened that story-line and show a bit more of how the actual apocalypse happened because we still don't know that.
The episode actually started strong, with Michael finding the remains of the warlocks and Ms. Mead, and then being confronted by Cordelia, who informs him that Mead's soul is hidden by a spell.
After that, we see Michael lost on what he should do and goes to the forest in a way to contact his dad, Satan. Unsuccessfully, Langdon remains strong, but confused, and is led to an obscure Satanic church. At the church, he meets Madelyn, who brings him to her home and offers him food. At her house, Madelyn starts talking about how successful she became after selling her soul to Satan and how she and the remaining 'Satan lovers' are waiting for the Antichrist. To this, Langdon reveals that he is the Antichrist to which Madelyn takes him back to the church, revealing to everyone that he is the Antichrist and ending with everyone worshiping him.
Then, Michael reveals that he is still lost after not being able to talk to his dad and because of the loss of Ms. Mead. After finding out about this Madelyn takes Langdon to a robotics corporation, run by engineers Mutt and Jeff, played by Billy Eichner and Evan Peters, which was pretty funny and unexpected, really wasn't expecting to see Evan Peters in that role and with that funny wig.
It is also revealed that Ms. Venable worked for the corporation before the nuclear blast, and that Mutt Jeff were the ones that created the robotic version of Ms. Mead. And that's basically what happened in this episode.
Like I said, pretty underwhelming in my opinion. All of this just to show where Ms. Mead came from. Yes, it was surprising to find Ms. Venable in the corporation, and I'm curious to see how she became 'friends' with Ms. Mead and all that we know is happening in present day. The only good part of this episode, to be honest, was Cody Fern's performance which, as usual, was flawless!
Okay, that's it guys.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and I'll see you tomorrow with a brand new Arrow rant!
Love,
Daniela.
