The Challenge: Vendettas | Season 31 Episode 3 - "Banatalie"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys! Here I am with another The Challenge rant! (Don't worry, a new The Flash is coming to changes things up).
From yesterday's rant you already know that I was quite excited about this episode, and it didn't disappoint.
Just like in the previous one, a lot of twists and turns happened and some stuff I really wasn't expecting.
The episode started right where the previous one ended - with Nelson and Cory beginning their elimination. I must say that this elimination was quite funny and a little depressing as well. The 'challenge' was basically kicking a ball on fire and try to score a goal but both Cory and Nelson were terrible, and 2 hours must have passed without them scoring anything so they had to change things up in order for this elimination to end. This time, they had to basically do the same thing but without a goalkeeper and that way, Nelson scored right away and Cory didn't, so the elimination ended like that with Nelson winning, which was actually funny, in my opinion, because since Cory 'showed' his hitlist, he has been crap in the challenges and leaving right away so, there goes the karma.
But, the elimination doesn't end yet. There's that thing that you saw in the end of last week's episode - the grenade. TJ finally explains the grenade thingy. Basically, the person who wins the elimination has three options - take 5K from another player, add time to their vendetta in the next challenge or either take someone out of the troika or put themselves in the troika. The person, in this case Nelson, doesn't have to make the choice right away and just says his choice before the next challenge.
After that, they get back to the house, obviously, and we see some friendships forming and you know, this means either of those people is going to do really great or really bad in the challenge and are going to elimination so, you need to pay really close attention to this things. This time, they focused a lot on Melissa and Nicole 'hooking up' and on Natalie and Alicia's friendship.
Moving on to the actual challenge, the first thing TJ let them know is, apart from the challenge that they are about to play, which was above water, running and stuff, is the fact that Melissa won't be able to compete because she injured her foot and the doctor said she couldn't do stuff that involves water so she went straight to elimination, which meant the girls were only playing to win, not only the money for the first place (both girl and guy) but also for a place in the troika. After that, Nelson made his decision and he did exactly what I would do - choose the money. I just think that's the safest thing to do right now because it's still the beginning of the game and you don't want targets on your back so taking the money is a safe bet.
They then moved on to the challenge, which was playet in four rounds, two for the girls and two for the guys and, in the end, Natalie won for the girls, which was surprising to me, and Devin won for the boys, which was also surprising. They were both in the Troika along with, none other then Johnny Bananas, of course! He didn't want to but I was happy about that anyway. It means he doesn't get a grenade, but it also means that he's safe and that the person who wins the grenade can't do anything to him because the people on the Troika are off limits so, in my opinion, it's a good thing. Of course you have to choose someone to go to elimination, which sucks, but at least you know you're not going (not that it mattered right now because it was a girls elimination).
Anyway... They then get back to the house and, right away, there's a lot of talk about who they were going to pick. Natalie starts talking to Bananas and, to be honest, I would do the same really. Not only because I'm a big fan of Bananas but also because he has won the most challenges out of everyone so you should side with him. At the same time, she should do what she wants because, in the end, the girls are playing against the girls and the boys against the boys so, they shouldn't mess with each other but yeah.
Natalie goes to talk to both Veronica and Kailah to make sure they wouldn't say her name if they ever get in the Troika and, in return, Natalie doesn't say their names. I don't know, but I just don't trust Kailah. Veronica, I can see her not saying Natalie's name, even thought she basically back stabbed Leroy, but I think Veronica is a lot more trust worthy then Kailah. Kailah is such a snake. I wouldn't even go talk to her. She's going to back stab you no matter what so, don't even bother.
After that, Natalie is set in not mention none of those girls and then we see them get into that room to talk and choose the three girls. Right away, Devin says Alicia, which was also who Bananas said, even thought Natalie didn't want her because they were kind of friends. In the end, they did choose Alicia, alongside with Kayleigh and Kam, which was a good choice, in my opinion - all rookies, which is always something safe to do.
Of course someone had to be pissed with this, and that someone was Kam. I just don't understand why people get pissed, mostly when they're rookies. Being a rookie basically means that you're going to be chosen so... I don't understand.
The next thing to happen is the dinner and Devin starts right away with saying that they haven't decide yet so that dinner is when things are going to get decided. Kayleight then starts saying that she shouldn't be picked because she's there to learn, to improve and just to do better to which Devin asks what that do to them and she says that they get a strong and loyal competitor which, in my opinion, was an amazing argument. Then Alicia basically doesn't say anything do defend herself because she knows that they want to pick her and after that Kam just wants to know who picked her because that someone is going to get screwed because, if she gets sent in and gets back, she's going after that someone. That, to me, is so childish and she should be the one to go in because of that! There's always the things that Alicia isn't a strong competitor and basically no one likes her so, yeah... To me, Kayleigh isn't going to be picked at all so it's either between Kam and Alicia but, because of what she said, I would send in Kam. And the episode just ends like that.
We also don't see much in the preview, just a beef between Marie and Bard so, it's going to be interesting. Also, the next challenge is a food challenge so I can't wait for that!
So, let me know which are your thoughts on who the Troika is going to pick and I'll see you later with a brand new The Flash rant!
Love,
Daniela.
