The Challenge: War of the Worlds 2 | Season 34 Episode 1 - "The British Are Coming!"

Hello everyone!

That's right, I'm back from my hiatus and with which series? The Challenge, of course. Actually, this season took longer to come out then previous seasons because, usually, once one ends, two weeks after a new one begins and this one took 3 months so... I can't say that it wasn't nice, because it was, to have a bit of a break, but I do like the show so I was also missing it a little bit.

However, I have to say, this is the season where I least knew about. I wasn't particularly pumped (I still am not as pumped as before) and I haven't really been following all the details and everything. Also, I guess, because this took longer to come out, I kind of lost the 'magic' a little bit?! I don't know... This season looks pretty cool though so I'm excited to talk about it.

First of all, I love the concept - UK vs USA. It was basically that last season, but this season is for real and it's two teams instead of a bunch of duos and, from what I can remember, there hasn't really been teams against each other since Invasion of the Champs, which was an huge season, in my opinion, so this season they went in a different direction and I liked it.

From the looks of it, the UK is in a bit of a disadvantage because in the USA Team everyone is pretty experienced in The Challenge world and the UK have a lot of rookies so, in that department, they should've gone with a few rookies on the USA side but again, that 'disadvantage' kind of makes everything more interesting - to see if the vets can beat the 'not so well experienced' team.

In terms of competitors, obviously you know that I'm rooting for Bananas (even though I'm well aware that he's not going to win this season because a month into filming this, he was already going to the TCA and all that stuff so... Yeah, I don't have my hopes too high) but that's basically it from the USA team. The thing with this season is that I hate basically everyone in the USA team, so I'm kind of rooting for the UK team (and also because I love underdogs). No, but seriously, the UK have a lot more 'friendlier' people than the USA so... Yeah, I'm kind of conflicted. Plus, in this first challenge, the USA just made the biggest mistake ever by not choosing CT to go into their team so, I can't help but be a little bit 'against' them.

There's not much else I can say about this first episode. The first challenge looked cool, we had a few different rules for the nominations and tribunal and all that, which is nice, and we got to see the first elimination, which was a Brits elimination. I was kind of sad that Sean lost, he looked like a nice guy, but I didn't know him that well, so I guess it's kind of fine.

Well, I guess that's pretty much it for this first rant after hiatus. I know I didn't get into much detail about the challenge or the elimination, I just wanted to talk a bit about the feel of this new season. Also, I might still be a little rusty so, please give me a little break.

The Challenge: War of the Worlds | Season 33 Episode 17 - "Reunion"

Hello everybody!

So, this is the last rant for a while, unfortunately. You know, this time of the year all of the series go on hiatus and usually there's only The Challenge for me to review but, this time, it looks like just last week they started filming the new season so... We will have to wait a little longer.

But anyway, I still have one more episode to talk to you about so, let's do it!

To be completely fair, I wasn't going to review this episode. Not much usually happen on the Reunion episodes (I like to see them, but there's not much for me to comment on) but I asked you guys on twitter if you still wanted one and you guys staid yes so... Here it is! And i have to say, I got pretty surprised right away when we saw that Paulie and Cara were still together. For some odd reason (I think I've read somewhere) I thought they had broke up. I mean, maybe since the Reunion they did, but I thought they had broken up a long time ago so... Guess I was wrong. Apart from that, the episode started with your basic stuff - talking with the winner, in this case, Turbo, and how he felt about winning, they also talked with Theo about almost winning as well as with Ninja about being the only girl to cross the finish line, to which you could see Cara Maria's face like pretty salty.

After that, they jumped into the drama stuff, starting with something that I didn't even know about - Da'Vonne and Kam's friendship. Apparently, both of them fancied Theo in the beginning of the season and Kam said that Da'Vonne could go for it but then, as we all know, Kam ended up hooking up with Theo and it wasn't even that that Da'Vonne was sad about, it was the fact that Kam didn't tell her about her feelings for Theo and yeah... In the end, I guess things got patched up but we all know that this things take time.

Then, it was time to talk about the UK Alliance and how strong it was for the majority of the season. I don't even know what to say about that, to be honest so I'm just going to jump into the next thing, which was the whole thing between Zach and Cara.

I'm the worst to comment on this because you all know how I feel about Cara right now. Yes, maybe Zach was a little harsh and we know Zach usually doesn't really think, but Cara has been a b*tch this season and she was truly asking for it like, she needs to be put in her place. She has been acting like she owns the whole damn thing and then, as soon as something bad happens to her, she plays the victim and that's so damn annoying! I'm so fed up with her, seriously!

Anyway, after Cara, it was time to talk about someone else that was pretty annoying too - Bear. Bear is something else. I have mixed feelings about him because on one hand he's so annoying and he just doesn't think before he says stuff but, on the other hand, he's really funny and I enjoy him sometimes so... I don't really know how to feel towards him. I guess I feel the exact same way as everyone in the Reunion.

Moving on, it was time to get back to the love triangles, involving Kam and Theo again, but with Leroy this time. We all know what happened with them so I think I don't need to elaborate much. Leroy did let us know about what happened before the season started shooting and that was nice to know but, besides that, not much was added.

Something else that I didn't know about and I had no idea that had blow up like it did was something about Da'Vonne threatening Wes which we know wasn't really what happened but this thing really blew up and I really felt for Da'Vonne. You could see that Wes felt bad too so that's good I guess, at least that. (I know I've been brief with each topic but there's so much to unpack that I need to keep it short otherwise this is going to be a really long post).

After that whole thing, is time to get back to the usual stuff - vendettas. First, the whole thing between Zach and Bananas which, we finally know (I guess we know) that Zach did kind of betray Bananas and, as much as you might not like Bananas, and as much as you might think he's also a douche, you have to say that he was in the right to be angry at Zach and to doubt him because, in the end, Zach did have a thing with Wes and... This whole story was really confusing to me. All I know is that you could tell Bananas was speaking the truth and, to be honest, he was really tamed in this Reunion so, I'm proud of him for 'growing up'.

Unlike Zach and Bananas, the whole thing between Kyle and Paulie is pretty simple, they just dislike each other. This whole thing is mainly because of Cara, to be honest, because she just can't let go... But yeah, at least, there's no games between them, they just hate each others guts and they will always be rivals, that's it.

And, we basically tackled all the 'heavy' themes so let's get into the light ones.

There was this whole thing between Bear and Georgia which looks like hasn't really ended, even if she has been trying, then there's the whole hookups thing that they always show (we find out that there's something between Morgan and Bananas, even if I already suspected something), there's the whole thing about what they said behind each others backs, which isn't that deep, to be honest, the whole thing between Zach/Jenna/Amanda is also old news and I'm not getting into that because you know how I feel about Amanda and I don't need to stress myself out with people that don't matter and then there's the whole thing between Ninja and Turbo that, even thought that's also old news, we finally find out that they are good with each other and that she's actually going to visit his family in Turkey so... That's nice though.

The episode then ends with some funny stuff and that's basically it.

The Challenge: War of the Worlds | Season 33 Episode 16 - "This Is the End"

Hello guys!

Just as promised, here I am for the last The Challenge: War of the Worlds episode (before the Reunion).

I'm so happy that basically all my wished came true! But first, let's get the elephant in the room out of the way - yes, Hunter isn't in the banner, and that's because he was the one to be picked, right in the beginning of the episode, to go into an elimination. He chose to go against Ninja but, obviously, as you might have guessed by now (if you didn't want the episode) he lost, and in a pretty anticlimactic way - he basically gave up. The elimination wasn't that hard (I mean, after running 24 miles, yes, but not that hard) and he just gave up. I was bummed but, at the same time, I wasn't, because I was never a big fan of Hunter so... I guess I was fine with Ninja winning, I just didn't like the fact that he basically gave up.

Anyway, now, that we got that out of the way, let's talk about the most important thing in this episode - The Winner! Turbo freaking won! He was the one that I wanted to win (out of the finalists because, obviously, I wanted Bananas to win) but, to be fair, he was the one that deserved it the most - he was really good at basically all challenges, he never went into elimination, he worked really hard to be the best and he still was a sympathetic and caring person so... He is the true MVP and he totally deserved to win!

Then, my other wish - Cara Maria not to win! Actually, she didn't even make it to the final four, which I don't really care, to be honest. I was actually happy about that. She wasn't going to win anyway, it was either Turbo or Theo and none of the others stood a chance (in my opinion) for some reason they were the first and second place. But yeah, Cara Maria also fell short and she basically was beaten by a math 'puzzle'. I mean, I can't really judge her because that would also probably be the thing that would get to me, if I was on The Challenge (I'm really bad at math) so... I can't talk about about that. But I can talk about that fact that she has been talking a lot about how she was going to win and all and so... Karma is a b*tch!

Besides that, Wes was in 3rd place and Ninja in 4th. I was happy with that, I guess. I just didn't really want Wes to win (even if he was a bit better this season) but that's just my Bananas Supporter side talking... As for Ninja, I'm happy that she was the last woman standing. American Ninja Warrior really prepares you for The Challenge so, I hope we get to see not only more of this finalists but also more Ninja Warrior contestants because I feel like they bring something to the table (unlike Are You The One guys and stuff...).

And yeah, I guess that was pretty much it! A good (hard) final with a deserving winner and a pretty good season overall!

The Challenge: War of the Worlds | Season 33 Episode 15 - "Death Race"

I know guys, I'm so late with this rant (actually, I should be posting episode 16 instead of 15) but I'm going to be completely honest with you - I forgot. The day I watched this episode it was already pretty late and then I had stuff to do the next couple of days and then... I just forgot. I'm so sorry about that, I hope you forgive!

So now that you already know why I'm posting this so late, let's get into the actual events.

This is the penultimate episode (minus the reunion) and so we can expect some pretty big stuff, which was exactly what happened. I have to say though that my dad usually runs more than what they run in this episode so... They aren't that great. Yes, there's the eat and everything but, not long ago, my dad ran a marathon in freezing cold so... I don't really know what's worth. Still, I know it's pretty hard (even if while you're watching it doesn't seem like it). I would probably be Georgia, who just blacked out because of the heat and basically had to give up... She was the first one to give in to this hard final, but not the only one. Following her was Mattie who I was actually disappointed. I thought she could do better but, like TJ mentioned, she smokes and that was what 'killed her' in this challenge so, you heard it kids, don't smoke!

With all of this it means that we only have two girls in the final, one of them being Cara Maria who I really wish doesn't win. But anyway...

This finale wasn't just running, they also had to do some type of puzzles and they got lucky because there was a time limit because otherwise, some of them would be stuck for a long time in some of those puzzles.

Post that, we learn that there's going to be another Tribunal and, in this Tribunal, the ones safe are Wes, Turbo and Theo, the first ones to finish this first part of the final.

And that's basically how this episode ends. It doesn't seem like much but we spent a lot of time following each contestant and see what they went through so... It was actually a lot. 

I guess that's pretty much it. I'm sorry if this was a really short rant but, besides not having much to talk about, some stuff I have already forgotten so... This were the main things happening in this penultimate episode.

All in all, I hope Turbo is the one to win (even though I liked if a girl would win - Ninja, in this case) and I just really hope Cara Maria isn't in the TOP 3... She really annoyed me this whole season.

The Flash | Season 5 Episode 22 - "Legacy"

Hello people!

Yes, a bit late but, since this is the Season Finale, I thought I could take a break for one day and just post today, I hope you don't mind.

I'm so surprised to say that Arrow's Season Finale was better than The Flash's. Yes, you heard it right! After all those weeks about 'bashing' Arrow and being so hyped about The Flash turned out that The Flash's Season Finale didn't live up to expectations.

The beginning of the episode was actually nice. We see the after math of last episode's huge cliffhanger, where Ralph puts himself in front of the dagger and he's the one affected by the mirror gun, leaving him in kind of 'pieces' (it's something really weird that I don't know how to explain) which leads to Cicada being able to escape (with the dagger).

Post that, the Team is really confused about why Ralph did what he did. Luckily, Sherloque understands everything and proceeds to explain Thawne's plan to the Team. After that, Nora realizes she has been played and then comes up with a plan to defeat Cicada without getting rid of the dagger.

The Team tracks Cicada to her younger self where Nora enter her mind and with help from a reformed Orlin is able to convince young Grace to take the meta-human cure. However, the shard in Grace's forehead is too powerful and Barry has to destroy the dagger with the mirror gun, which leads to adult Grace being erased while Thawne, back in 2049 gets his powers back.

Then, comes to 'exciting' part of the episode - Team Flash against Thawne (again).

They come up with a pretty cool plan where Barry and Nora are able to, in the end, subdue Thawne but, as they are about to 'kill him', a new timeline is coming into action and is trying to erase Nora. Thawne reveals that the only way to save Nora is for her to reenter the Negative Speed Force, however, Nora refuses to go back there, afraid to become like Thawne and ends up 'dying' in her parents arms. (Thawne also gets away in the meantime)

This was something that left me with mixed feelings. As sad as it was to see Barry and Iris being sad about their daughter being erased, Nora has been so annoying in this last few episodes that... I just didn't really care. It was exactly the same that it was with Emiko - I just felt relieved and happy that we are done with those story-lines (both Emiko and Nora) and we are ready to move forward.

After that, a similar thing to the one that happened in Arrow happened here as well - we see a bit of each character moving on, with Sherloque going back to his Earth and Cisco taking the meta-human cure. This last part was something that we knew was going to happen but it left me a bit confused - it was told that we were going to loose two main characters/actors in this season finale and, obviously, one of those was Nora but the other one I have no idea. I always thought that Cisco was going to leave, but they didn't really address it so... Where they talking about Sherloque?! Because, from what I understood, Thawne (who is also played by Tom) is going to be back next season so... Something here doesn't add up so, if you understood, please let me know.

Something else really cool that happened was Joe being promoted to Captain and also (former) Captain Singh letting them know that he knows that Barry is the Flash. At this point basically everyone knows that Barry is the Flash, and that's just really funny, to be honest.

In the very end of the episode both Barry and Iris find a farewell message from Nora and we, the audience, see the date of the crisis in the future newspaper changing from 2024 to 2019 so... Does that mean that not only Oliver is going to die but Barry is also going to vanish?! I'm really curious about this whole thing!

Both series look like are going to deal with Crisis the whole season and... I don't know how I feel about that. On one hand I'm excited but I'm also afraid they are going to mess things up. But anyway, let's see what the next season brings! For now, I'm excited and I just can't wait!

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 22 - "You Have Saved This City"

Hello everybody!

Wow!

First of all, I know I'm a bit late with this rant. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to watch the episode live and only a few minutes ago I was able to actually watch it. I'm really sad that I didn't get to watch it live and live tweet but, at the same time, I feel like this way I could appreciate it and analyze it even better and, the truth is, this really surprised me! In a good way! (Prepare yourselves because this is going to be a lot of me rambling and maybe not even a bit of the actual events but, anyway).

I have to say, I didn't have much hopes for this season finale. After the last couple of episodes, it felt like there was nothing really to be excited about and everything was really predictable. Oh boy, how I was wrong! Most of this episode really felt like a goodbye to Emily Bett Rickards, which it actually was and, if you've read my last rant, you know that Felicity's send off was something that I was really curious about. Not really the 'present day' send off, because that was obvious - she was going away to raise Mia - but the future Felicity send off was what was intriguing me and I have to say - they did an amazing job with that! But let's try go through everything from the beginning.

The beginning was more of the same, to be honest. At this point, I was so tired of Emiko that I really couldn't care less. Long story short, there was this whole thing that Emiko wanted to detonate some virus to not only kill Oliver but also everyone in the city. There's a whole fight between Emiko and Oliver, which was really cool by the way, the whole directing of this episode was really good, and then... That's when the Ninth Circle has enough of it and basically turns on Emiko, killing her in the end. Like I said, at this point, I couldn't really care about Emiko so... that was fine by me. However, this whole thing made me thing that the Ninth Circle were going to be the villains of the very short next season but, after the ending, I'm not sure about that. Also, I need to point out that this whole thing with Emiko felt really rushed. It felt like they just wanted to get onto the Felicity farewell which I can't really blame them because that was the best part of the episode, even if it was really emotional. However, there was a good thing about the first part of the episode - Curtis being back! I never thought they would bring him back for this last episode so... it was nice! Laurel was also back but I feel like she just wasn't in the last two episodes so... I didn't really care about that. Oh, Ben Turner also helped the team so we now kinda know how Diggle adopted his son.

And then, after the whole thing with Emiko, that's when the good stuff starts.

We see a whole lot of goodbyes not only to Curtis, Laurel and Roy, but also Felicity and Oliver, that decide to get away for the safety of their family, since the Ninth Circle must be haunting them. This was also surprising because I always thought Felicity was going away alone but turns out, Oliver when with her and not only that but they basically lived an year in the hideout because we then see footage of Felicity giving birth and a few more stuff with Mia as a baby, and with Oliver in the picture. And then, that's when the ball drops - the Monitor appears demanding Oliver to hold up his part of the deal. This was so surprising! We've always known that Oliver was going to die in the next crossover but having this in this Season Finale, and with the Monitor actually saying that Oliver is going to die... Wow! That changes everything!

That last part is what left me really curious because, like I said, I thought the Ninth Circle would be the villains but now I wonder if next season is going to be Oliver with the Monitor dealing with stuff until they have to call everyone of help. I don't know, I just know that this left me really curious and speechless and I have no idea where the next season is going.

To finish this rant I have to mention the flash-forwards which weren't nothing special, to be honest. They got rid of the problem and then, in the end, part of the Team - Roy, Dinah and Felicity - decided to leave and hand the batch to the new Team of superheroes. I liked the fact though that William asked Roy about how he got to the island and he said that was a long story so... I hope we get an answer to that. And then, the final thing - Felicity says goodbye to William and Mia and then we see her going to the Monitor saying she's ready to be reunited with Oliver and... they go through a portal and that's it.

I have to say, this is the best ending they could've done with Emily leaving and with Oliver dying in the crossover. After all this time, they are going to be together in the end, and that's enough for me.

This really felt like a Series Finale and it's only a Season Finale so... I can't even imagine what they're going to do for the Series Finale - I'm going to be a mess!

In the end, I loved this! Now, let's see what The Flash brings.

The Challenge: War of the Worlds | Season 33 Episode 14 - "The Waterboy"

Hello everyone and welcome to the last rant of the week.

Now I get why they changed the structure of the episodes in the last ones - we are going to the final net week!

Yes, that's right, this was the last episode before the final and what an episode! I can't help but be happy and excited about the fact that Paulie went home. As much as I kind of felt for him because it was truly painful and you could see he was hurt but... I just didn't care that much and I'm happy he's gone.

Anyway, but before all that stuff with Paulie, we had the elimination between Dee and Da'Vonne and hell yeah my girl Da'Vonne did it and won against Dee, when everyone doubted her! I was really happy about that so, as you can see, most of this episode left me happy.

After the elimination we saw a bit of drama and then we moved to the challenge that looked kind of difficult but not as difficult as Paulie made it seem. The episode focused a lot on Paulie and yes, like I mentioned before, it was stressful and everything but I was happy that he didn't finish the challenge. All the others that went after him did kind of good and only two girls didn't finish it. Oh, I forgot to mention, this challenge was even more important because the last place girl and the last place guy were eliminated, and that's why Paulie was so worried and that's why Paulie went home. As for the girls, Mattie and Da'Vonne were the ones to not finish it and, in the end, I don't really know why to be honest, but Da'Vonne went home and Mattie stayed. Either way I was happy (I liked them both) I was just sad that Da'Vonne had just win an elimination and now is already going home. But I can totally see Mattie winning this season so... Yeah, I would be happy either way.

And then, in the end of the episode, we learn that next week is the final and that this are the finalists - Wes, Turbo, Theo, Hunter, Mattie, Cara Maria, Ninja and Georgia.

I'm so surprised that there are 5 rookies in the final this season but, to be honest, I hope one of them wins. Heck, I hope all of the top 3 are rookies because, not only I believe this was season of the rookies, but I also don't particularly like any of the Vets so... Yes.

In my opinion Turbo is going to be the one to win. Yes, he's a rookie and he doesn't know anything about the finals but I think he can go through them. As for second and third place... I would like to see Mattie in one of those and then I'm torn between Georgia and Hunter. Georgia because I feel like she has been overlooked all this time, and I like to root for the underdogs, and Hunter because he should've got that money last season so I kind of hope he wins some this season.
