The Flash | Season 6 Episode 11 - "Love Is A Battlefield"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
I'm back with a new The Flash rant and... Same old, same old.
That's right, this week's episode of The Flash was another disappointment. I would go as far as saying that this episode was worse than the previous one. I don't know what the producers are thinking but having Iris in the center of the story is not doing for me. Okay, I know I'm a bit biased because I'm not a fan of her character but still... The show is named The Flash for a reason, and Barry is the center of the show and they're sidelining him and it's not working.
And if that wasn't enough, they bring back an old bad guy (or should I say girl) - Amunet. Don't get me wrong, she's fun and all, but I'm so tired of the same plots and the same villains... They really lost it's track with this whole Crisis thing. I would much rather have Barry vanish in Crisis and just see the Team dealing with that. I think that would be so much more interesting and, of course, having Barry back after a few episodes. That would be really predictable, I know, but it would be so much more interesting that this 'nothing' plot.
I'm not even going to touch on the Amunet story-line because it's just pointless. It was just a plot to have Iris run this plan and kind of show that she's not the real Iris (which we see by the end of the episode). I'm sensing that this 'not Iris' thing will get pretty old really soon but let's hope I'm wrong, because I don't want to see another of my favorite shows fail.
Luckily, there was a nice plot in this episode - Frost and Allegra.
Meanwhile those things where happening with Iris and Barry, Frost convinces Allegra to reconnect with her ex-boyfriend. That wasn't major, but it was a nice little thing. Also, they touched on the Nash being Allegra's father thing and, in the very end, Nash starts seeing a glimpse of Harry. I have no idea what that means, but I'm intrigued.
Overall I just feel like the show lost it's essence. Cisco left for a while, there's no Caitlin and only Frost, Ralph is nowhere to be seen, they put Iris as the 'leader' of the Team Flash and in the center of the show and Barry was barely Flash in this episode. I don't know, I'm just loosing faith. I don't want this to become Supergirl (which I stopped watching because it was getting really bad). As I said, I have hope and I'm going to keep praying that they find their way but I can't see that happening anytime soon.
Well, I'm pretty disappointed in the show, as you saw but I would love to know what are you thinking of this last episodes post-crisis. Do you feel the same way as I do or do you like having Iris be a main character in all this? Let me know everything and I'll see you soon in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Legends of Tomorrow | Season 5 Episode 1 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!
So, here we are. Crisis finale! Well, I'm not going to waste any time and I'm just going to say it - I'm disappointed.
That's right folks, this crossover was not what I was expecting. Was it good? Yes. Was it as epic as they were promising? Not really.
The thing about Crisis on Infinite Earths was the stakes. The battle in the comics is huge, with Barry and Kara dying. Obviously we knew those two weren't going to die. Instead, Oliver would take their places, which happened... But that was it. I feel like I can speak for everyone when I say that we were expecting a ton of characters to die (a lot from Legends, in my opinion) but, in the end, Oliver was the only one to die, which was such an awful and disrespectful death. I don't know, I just know that this was not what they promised.
And now you say - What about all the 'cameos' and Easter Eggs? Well, those were great, don't get me wrong, but they were just that - a few cameos that made the crossover special, but they didn't add to the 'epicness' that I was expecting, mainly from this last episode. I saw someone say on twitter this and I totally agree - They focused way too much on the cameos and on the crossover being a 'fan service' that they forgot about the story and to play homage to our characters. And what makes everything worse is that there wasn't enough characters in this final battle, let alone Legends characters, which was what I was expecting, after all, this was a Legends episode.
However, the beginning was nice. The beginning of the episode gave us the feel of a Legends episode, with the fun, the jokes and, obviously, with Bebo. Yes, Bebo was back for this crossover and he was the last good thing in this. As soon as they 'killed' Bebo, it just went downhill. Yes, Black Lightning appeared again but it was so short. And again, where were Cisco, Iris, Ralph, Nora, Constantine... There were so many characters left out of this episode and I just wanted to see an epic final battle with a ton of superheroes and with a few more deaths.
In the end, I feel like this crossover was made just to get all our heroes in one Earth (now Earth-Prime) but then they messed that up too, when they showed that there's other Earths after all. From what I know, Crisis happens and then there's just one Earth left and... That didn't happen. Again, as I saw on Twitter, they just forgot about Doom Patrol, and Titans, and Swamp Thing and they couldn't mess that up (which they did anyway) so they had to 'keep' the other Earths.
Anyway, in the end, this crossover was just an huge disappointment for me. I saw people saying that this was the best one and, personally, I think this was the worst one. Even the last one was a lot more fun with Oliver and Barry switching. That was so much fun! And I kind of miss when they had smaller crossovers, like the first one with Oliver and Barry - my favorite duo.
Well, I'm going to end my rant here. Let me know what you thought of this crossover. Are you with the majority that loved it or are you with me? Tell me everything and I'll see you soon with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 8 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people! Happy New Year!
Yes, I'm back for a new year of reviews and we're starting of with a bang! (or not).
That's right, my first review is the ending of Crisis. This post will be dedicated to the Arrow episode and after this one I'll post the Legends one (even though they aired right after each other).
I'm going to start right away with saying that this wasn't exactly what I was expecting (although, this part was better than the last one, but I'll get into that in the next post). I liked the beginning of the episode. I liked how they showed that some time has passed and, for a moment, I really thought that Barry had vanished, like it was supposed to, but then he came back and that's also when Oliver, as Spectre, shows up and tells them the plan. I'm not going to get into it because, not only is really confusing, but not even myself understood it 100% so I'm just gonna say that they had to travel through the speed-force to where it all started and, of course, something had to go wrong. While in the speed-force, they are attacked by the Anti-Monitor and they get lost and it's up to Barry to find them. That's when the best thin about this episode happens - Ezra Miller! That's right, Ezra's Flash from the DCEU appears and our Barry and Ezra's Barry interact and, even though I'm not a big fan of Ezra, I was really fangirling at the fact that they were able to, not only do this, but keep this a secret! For sure, the best about this episode.
After that, Barry go get each of the Paragons and they all meet in the Anti-Monitor's world where, initially they fight more 'dementors' and then there's a fight between Oliver aka Spectre and the Anti-Monitor. And just like that, Oliver dies again. This time, for real.
This is a bit of a spoiler for the next post but needless to say that I was hopeful throughout the whole part five. There was just no way Oliver died, again, just like that. Yes, he was with Barry and Sara, but what about Diggle?! I mean, I really didn't like how Oliver died (again) and I'm still going to be waiting for him to make an appearance in the last episode of the show.
Well, in the end, they all see a new 'world' being formed and... That's how this part ends.
I have a ton more thoughts on the finale of the crossover so I'm not going to waste your time. Overall, this episode was fun, mainly because of Barry, but it felt a lot more like a The Flash episode than an Arrow one. And truth be told, I'm kind of afraid for the end of Arrow, but we'll see.
That's it for now and I'll see you in a few minutes with the final part of Crisis!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Part Three of the crossover is here and I have quite a few opinions so, let's get into it.
After really thinking about everything that has happened in the last three episodes, I've came to the conclusion that, so far, this crossover isn't as good as I wanted it to be. By the way, this review will not only have thoughts on this particular episode, but the Crisis overall, from what we've seen so far. That's right, I'm a bit disappointed with what we have seen until now. I was supper stoked about getting all my favorite heroes interaction with each other that I forgot that might be a problem. And what I felt was that they had to include so many heroes and so many Easter eggs that the magic of a crossover, and the overall plot, was lost. Truth be told, I don't even think that had put that much effort into the story as they have in the small details. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving all the little things (you know how excited I was with that two seconds Titans cameo) but I wanted more and, so for, I'm not getting it. There were a few great moments in this episode tho, so let's get into those.
Black Lightning was finally incorporated into the Arrowverse and that was definitely a good thing. So glad they did that. I'm not even the biggest fan of Black Lightning as a show, I mean, I watch it, and I like it, but I still prefer Arrow, The Flash and Legends, but seeing him among all my favorite heroes sure made me appreciate Black Lightning a lot more and I love his interaction with Barry. Who would have thought that they have so much in common? I really like that heartfelt conversation that they had and sure one of the highlights not only of the episode, but the whole crossover.
They also introduced a whole new character in this - Ryan Choi - who is played by Osric aka Kevin in Supernatural. Of course I liked this even though I'm still confused on why he's here and why is he a Paragon (that whole thing with Paragons is a whole other story, and I'll get into that in a minute).
But, for sure, the best part of this episode, with no doubt, was Lucifer! Yes, Tom Ellis made a cameo as Lucifer and I loved it! And I don't even watch Lucifer (yet, I've been planning to). I just loved his interaction with Constantine and, truth be told, it was just so surprising! A bit like the Titans cameo!
And speaking of Lucifer, Constantine, Diggle and Mia went to Lucifer for help to find Oliver's soul and getting a way into Purgatory which is, none other than Lian Yu. Of course, it had to be! And, although I loved this, mainly because they did get Oliver back, I have so many issues with this plot. I mean, the Purgatory and everything makes sense but then, as soon as they find Oliver, he doesn't recognize Diggle nor Mia and it only takes Diggle saying 'It's me Oliver, Diggle!' and, just like that, he remembers?! I mean, I get it, they had to get to the point but c'mon! It was such a sloppy writing! But it doesn't end there. As soon as they find Oliver's soul, Spectre appears and says that Oliver has to be the new Spectre and... Oliver just says Okay?! Once again, I get it, they have to get to the point, but it was way too quickly and I didn't like that. I liked that Oliver is back though and, for that, I can't be too mad.
What made me kind of made was something else. Or a few something elses.
First, they just find the remaining three Paragons in the beginning of  the episode - Barry, Paragon of Love, J'onn, Paragon of Honor, and Ryan Choi, Paragon of Humanity. The way they found that kind of annoyed me but what annoyed me the most was who were the Paragons. I mean, I should have seen that Barry was one of them, but they could come up with something different. Plus, they could make Black Lightning one of them and it would make a lot more sense to why they brought him instead of what they came up with, but I guess that's just me.
Something else that I was expecting but still, I didn't like, was the way around Barry vanishing that they found. The article said The Flash varnishes, but they didn't say which Flash. Yes, that's what they came up with and, instead of Barry vanishing, it was Flash from Earth-90, played by John-Wesley Shipp that vanished. It was a cute moment though, with some actual footage from the 90s The Flash show, but I guess that was it. And since I didn't watch that show, I didn't feel what most people felt.
Then, there were this whole West-Allen moments that you know how I feel about them. I just don't ship them and I don't even think the actor ship them because the chemistry between them, specially in this episode, was zero.
And yeah, in the end, the Anti-Monitor while working through Lyla, kills the Monitor and destroys the last Earth, Earth-1, and everyone in them. Luckily, Pariah sends the seven Paragons to the Vanishing Point, where there is no time and space, and it's in that moment that they learn that Lex Luther used the Book of Destiny to replace Earth-96 Superman with himself. And that's it.
My bet is that this is going to be a Infinity War/Endgame scenario, where this was the lead up and now the last two episodes are going to be the final battle where actually all the heroes are going to be present. I also think that it's in those two episodes that some major deaths are going to take place because, so far, the only people dead are not important characters and there has to be some repercussion.
Overall, it isn't the best crossover but it isn't finished yet so I'm hopeful (as always). Heck, at least, Oliver is not dead, and that does for me. Oh, and I forgot to mention, there were not enough Barry and Oliver interactions this crossover and they are one of the main reasons why I love crossovers so I guess that's why I'm not loving this one.
Anyway, let me know your overall thoughts of the Crisis so far. Are you happy? Are you disappointed? Tell me everything and the Crisis is only back in January but I'll talk to you tomorrow with a new The Challenge rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Supergirl | Season 5 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys.
The Crisis is here and, to be honest, I don't know how to deal with it.
This was only the first episode and this crisis is already a nightmare. For numerous reasons, really, but let's start with the good stuff.
You might be confused with that banner, since this is the Supergirl episode and the banner says Gotham. Well, the crossover starts with an introduction to what is happening with this crisis while showing a bunch of Earths getting wiped out. That was basically the only really good moment this episode - the beginning. I got so pumped when they showed a glimpse of Titans! In case you don't know, I also watch pretty much all of the DC shows on the DC Universe streaming, Titans being one of them, and I heard rumors that Titans were going to be in the crossover. Well, this isn't really what I wanted but, to be honest, it was enough to get me excited and to leave me happy. If this is the only Titans thing we get in the crossover, I'm fine with it but, of course, I would love to see more of them in it. But my excitement ended there.
This being the Supergirl episode, of course they focused a lot more on the Supergirl characters and all the plot (basically) happened in Earth-38, where Supergirl is from. I mean, I was expecting that, but the thing is, I stopped watching Supergirl like 2 seasons ago (in the Crisis on Earth-X episode. I did watch Elseworlds, but that was it) and so, I wasn't ware of what had been happening with her and, truth be told, nor I cared. I stopped watching the show because I didn't like it anymore (plus, Melissa just annoys me so, there's that) and I would rather have Black Lightning be part of the crossover, with it's proper episode (I know he's going to be in the crossover) than Supergirl but okay, I knew that going into it. But what made it worse was that Mia was also part of the crossover. I didn't know they were going to include the kids from the future (in Arrow) in the crossover and so having Kara and Mia in the same episode?! That was annoying af! And I should prepare myself because I'm sure there's going to be more of that. But yeah, back to the plot.
The Anti-matter is getting to every planet and so Brainy, a character that I didn't know at all, warned Kara and the others of it being directed to Argo (the place where Superman, Lois and their baby are, apparently) and she warns them to leave the planet. Unfortunately, they can only save their baby in a really cute nod to the way Clark was sent to Earth.
Meanwhile on Earth-1, Harbinger (aka Lyla) recruits Barry, Batwoman, Oliver, Mia, Sara Lance and Ray, to fight this crisis, and sends them to Earth-38 as well as rescues Superman and Lois from Argo and also sends them to help Kara save the people from her Earth.
There's so much that goes on into this but basically the Anti-Monitor is the one that is sending all this anti-matter to destroy the universe and, before working on a plan to defeat him, our heroes try to save as many people as they can from Earth-38, working alongside with the DEO and Lena (who, apparently, is not in good terms with Kara nor Alex. Don't ask me why).
After learning that Jonathan (Superman's baby) ended up in Earth-16, Lois, Sara and Brainy leave to get him while the other stay behind to fight the dark forces of the Anti-Monitor.
During all of this, there's a few moments that are kind of important, such as Oliver passing the mantle of Green Arrow to Mia (which I didn't like) and Oliver talking with Barry and learning that Barry is supposed to die as well, leading Oliver to go and argue with the Monitor about the deal that they made in the last crossover. The Monitor basically says that it's a different situation now and that's it.
Then follows the 'usual' fight scenes of our heroes against some shadow demons that, to be honest, looked like dementors from Harry Potter which, if Cisco was there, he would totally point that out and, deeming the battle as lost, the Monitor breaches our heroes off-world. But not before the unthinkable happens! Oliver is the last one to be 'breached' and he 'fights' the Monitor saying that there's still people to save, fighting until his last breath, literally.
The Monitor does breach Oliver to Earth-1 but just in time for him to say his goodbyes. And just like that, Oliver dies. In the first our of the crossover. I still can't believe it. I'm pretty much in denial like, it just can't be possible! I knew that Oliver was going to die eventually, even if I still believed he wouldn't but like that?! It was so anti-climatic and just not the death he deserved! In the first hour of the crossover? Alone? Not even Diggle was there? In the Supergirl episode? I mean, c'mon! I know everyone was expecting him to die in the last hour but at least kill him in the Arrow episode! What the f*ck is this? I don't know what to think. I'm sad, I'm in denial, I'm angry... I just won't believe he's really dead until the crossover is over. There's still 4 more episodes to go and anything can happen. Barry can go back in time, Gideon in the Wave-rider might still be able to help him, I don't know! Something has to happen! This won't be the end of Oliver, Stephen Amell is still credited in the next episodes of the crossover (at least) but it won't be the same if it's just flashbacks or Oliver from another Earth. It has to be our Oliver.
Anyway, the episode then ends with Nash Wells, now a "pariah"saying that he released the Anti-Monitor and that everything is doomed.
Well, needless to say that I can't wait to watch Part 2 because I just need to know more about Oliver and I just want him back already! Also, next episode is the Batwoman episode and that show I'm watching so it's going to be a lot better! However, I won't be able to live tweet because I watch the show with my sister and she can't watch it live with me so, I'm going to have to wait and watch it later. Hopefully I won't see many spoilers.
Please, let me know what you thought of this first part and tell me you have some theories on how Oliver might come back because I seriously need those! And I'll see you tomorrow with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 8 - "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 2"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Here we are with a brand new week of rants! Unfortunately, I'm not starting on the best note.
You know I love The Flash and they have been having such a great season but... This last couple of episodes weren't that great, specially this one. I don't know what it was, but it felt like they're just trying to fill in the time to get to the Crisis. At the same time, I feel like they wrapped the Rosso/Bloodwork thing way too quickly. I seriously didn't get it. Personally, I think it would be best if they kept Bloodwork as the villain for the rest of the season (doesn't matter if we have Barry back or not) but I guess they're planning on dealing with Barry's vanishing for the rest of the season (even though I don't think that's going to happen at all so... We'll see).
There's not much I can say about this episode, really. It was mostly Rosso attacking Central City and converting all the citizens into his "Blood Brothers and Sisters". And of course Team Flash had to do something.
Initially Iris and Cisco 'argue' on what they should do, since both have different plans. Iris tries her way to get Barry back to the good side but it doesn't work. Then, Cisco tries the light gun (or whatever it is called) but it doesn't work either. That's when Rosso basically let's them know his plan - taking the Particle Accelerator to spread his blood across all of Central City. As Rosso makes his way inside, Iris and Cisco think about what Barry said and realize that Barry saved them from Rosso and he's fighting inside his mind. That's when they understand Barry's plan.
Using a combination of Rosso's blood, the particle accelerator, and Allegra's powers, Team Flash subvert Rosso's plan and spread a cure to Central City.
After seeing is plan failing, Rosso turns into  a skull monster, which was quite fun for me. It was creepy and gross and I love horror so... I loved it! However, this didn't make much sense to me. So, everyone else in the city was cured but not Rosso? I might be missing something here but it didn't make sense to me.
Anyway, in the end, Barry is able to distract Rosso and capture him, later sending him to ARGUS.
The episode ends with the Team spending their last moments together before the Crisis, as wee see a red sky approaching. At the same time, at 7:58, Nash uncovers a wall of symbols before a blinding light pulls him in.
Even though this wasn't my favorite episode of The Flash, I'm still super stoked about Crisis. It's going to be as epic as Avengers: Endgame was! I cannot wait! I'm so damn afraid for the outcome though, but I'm also excited. Oh, and before I end this, where was Ralph in this episode? I mean, I know he was sent somewhere to be protected from Ramsey but... He should be back by the end of this episode... Does this mean that he isn't in the Crisis? Cause I'm going to be mad if that's the case. With so many superheroes there's no way they didn't have a spot for Ralph in the Crisis. I guess we'll see.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and which are your predictions for Crisis. Do you really think that Barry is going to die? Tell me everything and I'll see you soon with an Arrow rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 3 - "Dead Man Running"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
I know, finally, I'm here with The Flash's rant. It took way too long but you know what? You save the best for last and that's what happened! I mean, this wasn't necessarily the best episode out of the ones that I've seen this week, but it sure was a great episode!
This doesn't usually happens and so, for the first time, I wasn't bored one bit and enjoyed every single sub-plot of this episode. I feel like everything was major for the end goal, which is kind of the Crisis, and needless to say that I'm super stoked for that so... Everything surrounding Crises makes me extremely excited.
There was mainly three plots in this episode - Barry/Killer Frost, Ralph/Cecile and Cisco/Iris. And, before I actually start, I just wanted to mention that this are duos that don't happen that often and I loved it! Please, give me more of this duos.
Anyway so the first story-line that we follow, and the main one of the episode is Barry/Frost's plot. This one also gives us a more in depth knowledge about this season's villain (besides the Monitor, obviously). The episode actually starts with Rosso inadvertently turning Mitch Romero into a zombie, leading to him attacking his own crew looking for dark matter. This is was Barry and Killer Frost go investigate. This also gives Barry the chance to 'teach' Frost how to behave when Barry's no longer there, after the Crisis because yes, that's something else that is really important in this episode - Barry tells Team Flash about the Crisis but doesn't tell them about him dying and so he's trying to 'teach' them how to 'survive' without him. The episode focuses a lot on being truthful not only with this Barry story-line but also with the other two duos, which I will get to in a minute.
Anyway so Rosso comes into play again when Frost remembers him from Caitlin's memories. Frost suspects him right away but Rosso is smart enough to convince Barry that he can help them. Luckily, Barry wasn't that naive this time and he catches him stealing dark matter from STAR Labs. Rosso eventually 'kind of' tells the truth and Barry persuades him to still help with Mitch Romero. Romero ends up getting inside STAR Labs and that's when Rosso learns that he can control him (through the dark matter). Eventually Killer Frost and Barry kill Romero making him overdose on dark matter and making for a great scene on the flash - one that actually could be in an horror movie. Personally, I loved it!
Meanwhile, Cisco and Iris investigate a "Harrison Wells" sighting, and briefly encounter Harrison "Nash" Wells who they then learn is searching for something called "Eternium". First of all, finally Tom Cavanagh is back with a new Wells and second, I don't know about you but I feel like this "Eternium" is going to play a huge part on Crisis and that is what's going to prevent Barry from dying. I'm just throwing it out there right now and we'll see if I'm right.
Finally, the third story of the episode - Ralph's - was one that wasn't hugely important but you know me, I just love Ralph and I love anything to do with him so I loved getting to know more about him, bout his family and, this might sound morbid but, I loved seeing him being a bit more vulnerable and not the 'bubbly' that he is all the time. Also, not only this was also my Truth, but this might also hint at Ralph's love interest which, to be completely honest, I'm kind of afraid. You know, I love Ralph so much that I kind of feel like I 'own' him? It's weird but I want him to have a love interest but I'm so afraid that I won't like her so... I just hope it is played by an actress that I like so I'm more likely to like her.
And well, in the end, since this was heavily about truthfulness, Barry comes clean to the Team about him dying. At the same time, we see Rosso manipulating the substance Romero produced and use it in his cure, making him instantly wanting more.
I can see really good things coming out this season! I don't know if it majorly because of Crisis, since Arrow is being great too, but I'm just loving the story-lines and, as for The Flash, it's a different and interesting villain so... We'll see.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and I'm sorry I took way too long with it.
I'll see you guys next week with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 2 - "A Flash of the Lightning"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!
Here I am with another rant - The Flash this time.
Unfortunately, unlike Arrow, this episode of The Flash wasn't the best. Not that I didn't like it, I just feel like I was way more into Arrow's one than this one. Still, we found out some interesting things about Crisis, which got me excited. Those are the best parts of this episodes, to be honest. I'm loving that everything is connected to crisis this year and, I guess, apart from Batwoman, we are going to be mentioning the Crisis a lot! I don't mind though, because I'm super duper excited about it (even if, mostly likely, Oliver is going to die in it).
But enough of shit-chat, let's talk about this week's episode.
My favorite part of the episode was, by far, Barry 'going to the future' to see the aftermath of the crisis. Yes, Barry is traveling to the future again, but this time I guess the speed-force had enough of it and he wasn't able to. However, he did go to another Earth to Jay Garrick to try and 'just go there with his mind'. It's something really difficult for me to explain, but he basically went there and he saw multiple timelines where everyone died apart from one timeline - the one where he basically sacrifices himself to save everyone else. Conclusion, Barry realizes that he does need to die in this crisis and this really messed up with him.
At the same time this is happening to Barry, we see the rest of Team Flash deal with a new meta. It was interesting because it brought up different story-lines for different characters, such as Cecile, who his on this meta's side because she can sense her. This ultimately ends with Cecile realizing that she can't be the DA anymore and she's going to defend meta's from now on, which I thought was something really cool.
We also get to see a bit more of Killer Frost and her getting more 'human'. I still don't know how I feel about this whole Killer Frost thing where she's got the spotlight now. I mean, I love Killer Frost, but I guess what made her interesting and what made us want her more was the fact that she was Caitlin all the time and once in a while we got to see Killer Frost, and I guess I preferred that. I like 'bad' Killer Frost better than this humanized version of her. Although, it's really interesting to see Danielle Panabaker doing something different and playing kind of a different character. We'll see how this goes.
And well, I guess that's it for this episode. We didn't get to see much of this seasons villain and, to be honest, I'm way more interested in the whole crisis thing so I really don't mind.
Let me know what you thought of the episode. Are you excited for crisis? Do you think Barry is really going to die? Tell me everything and I'll see you in my next rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 5 Episode 22 - "Legacy"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Yes, a bit late but, since this is the Season Finale, I thought I could take a break for one day and just post today, I hope you don't mind.
I'm so surprised to say that Arrow's Season Finale was better than The Flash's. Yes, you heard it right! After all those weeks about 'bashing' Arrow and being so hyped about The Flash turned out that The Flash's Season Finale didn't live up to expectations.
The beginning of the episode was actually nice. We see the after math of last episode's huge cliffhanger, where Ralph puts himself in front of the dagger and he's the one affected by the mirror gun, leaving him in kind of 'pieces' (it's something really weird that I don't know how to explain) which leads to Cicada being able to escape (with the dagger).
Post that, the Team is really confused about why Ralph did what he did. Luckily, Sherloque understands everything and proceeds to explain Thawne's plan to the Team. After that, Nora realizes she has been played and then comes up with a plan to defeat Cicada without getting rid of the dagger.
The Team tracks Cicada to her younger self where Nora enter her mind and with help from a reformed Orlin is able to convince young Grace to take the meta-human cure. However, the shard in Grace's forehead is too powerful and Barry has to destroy the dagger with the mirror gun, which leads to adult Grace being erased while Thawne, back in 2049 gets his powers back.
Then, comes to 'exciting' part of the episode - Team Flash against Thawne (again).
They come up with a pretty cool plan where Barry and Nora are able to, in the end, subdue Thawne but, as they are about to 'kill him', a new timeline is coming into action and is trying to erase Nora. Thawne reveals that the only way to save Nora is for her to reenter the Negative Speed Force, however, Nora refuses to go back there, afraid to become like Thawne and ends up 'dying' in her parents arms. (Thawne also gets away in the meantime)
This was something that left me with mixed feelings. As sad as it was to see Barry and Iris being sad about their daughter being erased, Nora has been so annoying in this last few episodes that... I just didn't really care. It was exactly the same that it was with Emiko - I just felt relieved and happy that we are done with those story-lines (both Emiko and Nora) and we are ready to move forward.
After that, a similar thing to the one that happened in Arrow happened here as well - we see a bit of each character moving on, with Sherloque going back to his Earth and Cisco taking the meta-human cure. This last part was something that we knew was going to happen but it left me a bit confused - it was told that we were going to loose two main characters/actors in this season finale and, obviously, one of those was Nora but the other one I have no idea. I always thought that Cisco was going to leave, but they didn't really address it so... Where they talking about Sherloque?! Because, from what I understood, Thawne (who is also played by Tom) is going to be back next season so... Something here doesn't add up so, if you understood, please let me know.
Something else really cool that happened was Joe being promoted to Captain and also (former) Captain Singh letting them know that he knows that Barry is the Flash. At this point basically everyone knows that Barry is the Flash, and that's just really funny, to be honest.
In the very end of the episode both Barry and Iris find a farewell message from Nora and we, the audience, see the date of the crisis in the future newspaper changing from 2024 to 2019 so... Does that mean that not only Oliver is going to die but Barry is also going to vanish?! I'm really curious about this whole thing!
Both series look like are going to deal with Crisis the whole season and... I don't know how I feel about that. On one hand I'm excited but I'm also afraid they are going to mess things up. But anyway, let's see what the next season brings! For now, I'm excited and I just can't wait!
Let me know what you thought about this season finale and I'll see you guys in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Supergirl | Season 4 Episode 9 - "Elseworlds, Part 3"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone and welcome to the last rant of Elseworlds!
This was such an huge roller coaster but I did get to a conclusion in regards of comparing this crossover to the last ones.
All in all, this crossover fell a bit short for me... I did really love the whole body swap thing, I loved seeing Barry and Oliver together, and that already makes for a great crossover for me, but the last one was epic with loads of characters and just epic action while this one was a lot more simple and just really focused on the main three heroes which, about Barry and Oliver I liked but, when it comes to Supergirl... I don't care that much. I think I've never really said this but I gave up on Supergirl. I kind of liked the first two seasons and by the third season I really lost interest and, actually, the last Supergirl episode that I watched was the last crossover! I'm still going to finish Season 3 just because of Chris Wood but he isn't on the show anymore so, I'm not going to bother with Season 4. And so, as you can see, this was bit of a 'difficult' episode for me because, just like the last ones had a lot more stuff to do with their own shows (like the first was had more The Flash characters and the second one was a bit more dark, just like Arrow is) this also happened in this episode, with a lot more scenes focused on Supergirl. I mean, I get it, but I'm just not really into her anymore so... In the end, I can't really complain because, to be honest, the only main thing Supergirl wise was the relationship between Kara and Alex, besides that, it was pretty much focused on Oliver and Barry, and I liked that.
So, the episode begins with Barry and Oliver waking up in a reality where they are wanted criminals, hunted by Deegan as Black Superman while Kara is kept at a prison at STAR Labs, run by Deegan Superman, Killer Frost, Diggle and Alex, who think she's crazy.
In a way to try and get things back to their rightful place, Barry and Oliver locate Cisco who's a mob boss in this new reality. I just need to point out that I loved the Gary cameo because they said that Legends weren't going to be part of the crossover but Gary is in Legends so... I liked that little cameo.
Anyway so, with Cisco's help, they go to Earth-38 to bring the real Superman to Earth-1 and fight Deegan Superman.
While Superman is busy with Deegan Superman, Supergirl convinces Alex to release her, and together with Barry they are able to retrieve the Book of Destiny. Kara tries to get reality back to it's original form but she isn't strong enough so Superman does it and he's able to return Barry and Oliver to their original forms but then Deegan gets an hold with the book and escapes with it.
Barry proposes he and Kara travel in opposite directions to slow the Earth in order to retrieve the book, even though Clark says it will kill them. With this threat, Oliver goes to the Monitor and negotiates with him saying that both Barry and Kara are the best of them.
Kara and Barry successfully slow the Earth, allowing Clark to retrieve the book and defeat Deegan with the help of Oliver, J'onn, Brainy and Lois.
With everything as it should be, everyone that isn't from this Earth gets back to Earth-38 and that's when Clark reveals that Lois is pregnant, and that they are going to be moving to Argo City for a short period. In the end, Clark proposes to Lois and she accepts.
Back in Earth-1, Barry and Oliver celebrate in a bar and that's when it gets back to the beginning of this season with the 'bantering' between Oliver and Barry, when Barry wants to hug Oliver but Oliver says no. I loved that!
The episode then ends with Oliver getting a call from Batwoman, revealing that Deegan in in Arkham and has made friends with Psycho-Pirate, leaving this crossover with the announcement of next years crossover - Crisis on Infinite Earths.
I have to say that this wasn't really a surprise for me because I've seen so many people talking about it but it did get me excited because it means that next year we're going to have so many characters in the crossover and that is going to be epic! I can expect next year's crossover to be better than the Crisis on Earth-X but, unfortunately, Elseworlds wasn't as epic, in my opinion. I still love it but comparing the two, I still prefer last year's crossover.
And yeah, I guess that's pretty much it guys. Like I said, this didn't really live up to all my expectations but that very first part was amazing and I'm going to re-watch it a bunch of times.
Let me know what you thought of this years crossover. Did you like it as much as last years? Do you prefer Elseworlds? Tell me everything and I'll talk to you Friday with a new Supernatural rant.
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 9 - "Elseworlds, Part 2"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys!
Here I am with part two of this years big crossover - Elseworlds. And no, I didn't get it wrong, this is the Arrow rant, with a Reverse Flash banner.
So, as I suspected, this second episode wasn't as strong as the first one. For some odd reason, in the crossovers, I never enjoy the Arrow episode that much, even though Arrow is my favorite series out of the DCTV Universe. However, it did have some major points that I really appreciated and, just like I predicted yesterday, this episode did have Felicity and more of the Arrow characters, even though I did miss Dinah, Rene and those characters in the episode. Hopefully they'll be in the last part. Someone that I also missed in this episode, and that I predicted that he wasn't going to be in it is Ralph. Because this is the Arrow episode, it was expected to have more Arrow characters and less The Flash characters, the reverse of the first episode, and that was exactly what happened. I'm not mad though, I already expected it. In the end, I'm just happy that Ralph was in the crossover and maybe they will all be in the last one (fingers crossed).
Right away I need to start with the very beginning of the episode - you know, that 'previously' part. I loved what they did with this episode because they basically replaced Stephen Amell for Grant Gustin (just like the story of the crossover demands) and Grant even narrated the events as Oliver and I loved that! It was something that I really wasn't expecting and that really got me going for the rest of the episode.
Then, we see Diggle and Curtis dealing with some bad guy (I can't remember his name) and that's when Oliver, Barry and Kara show up in Star City. The three of them help Diggle and Curtis deal with the situation and then I loved Diggle's line where he said that, every time the three of them show up, it means something is very wrong with the world! Loved that!
Post that, they go to ARGUS in order to get some help from Curtis and Felicity about the whole thing that his happening (the red skies and lightning) and that's when we learn that Felicity doesn't know anything about Barry and Oliver switching 'bodies', and so that's why she wasn't really in the previous episode. After having her help, Kara, Barry and Oliver set off to Gotham and I just have to mention that Oliver doesn't really believe in Batman and I just loved that he said that he was the first vigilante and blah blah blah... I loved jealous Oliver!
In Gotham City, they are approached by some thefts and end up in jail, which was funny.
Back in Star City, Felicity realizes that what is happening isn't really something that they're used to dealing with so she calls Cisco and Caitlin for help and that's when Cisco just tells what is going on - Cisco being Cisco. Felicity gets really sad that Iris was able to realize that something was wrong and she didn't and that's when we have a really heartfelt conversation between Caitlin and Felicity. Not only that talk was so sweet but it was in that moment that I realized we never really had many moments between Caitlin and Felicity, and I really enjoyed it. Also, this conversation really make this feel like an Arrow episode - Arrow and it's meaningful conversations.
After that, the thing that probably most people were excited about finally happened - the appearance of Batwoman (or should I say Kate Kane). We don't really get a lot into her character but we learn that she's basically in charge of the building that was Bruce's, we also learn that she's Bruce's cousin and, actually, I really liked the Easter Egg there, when Kara and Kate are talking and Kara says that her cousin (Superman) is kind of friends with Kate's cousin (Batman) and the she says 'more like 'frenemies' which was a pretty clear reference to the Batman vs Superman movie which, despite what everyone says, I really liked.
Kate helps them find the guy that has the book as well as, at the same time, The Flash from another Earth is able to breach for a few seconds to our Earth is tells something to Felicity, Cisco, Caitlin and Diggle. Post that, Cisco, Caitlin and Diggle breach to Gotham, where the rest of the Team is and they work on a plan to get inside Arkham Asylum, where this doctor works.
Of course things don't go that well and they get in an huge fight ending with a guy spilling some chemicals and both Barry and Oliver hallucinating. What was interesting about this hallucinations is that Oliver hallucinated (and started fighting) with Reverse Flash, and Barry hallucinated (and also fought) with Malcolm Merlyn (which was a pretty big cameo).
Well, and because this isn't the last episode, of course things couldn't end up well and they don't really get the book. Instead, the Monitor (the mysterious guy from the other Earth) makes the Doctor change reality again, but not before some of the most heartfelt conversations of the episode.
First, Barry and Oliver have a really deep conversation where Oliver admits that Barry have been through a lot and he always thought he had it easy, as well as Barry says that he could never get through what Oliver did and I just loved the whole thing! In the end of that conversation, Barry persuades Oliver to go talk to Felicity and work things out and that's the second beautiful conversation. Some real Olicity moments right there! Loved it!
And yeah, like I said, the Doctor changes reality again and, this time, Oliver and Barry are some thief twins who get arrested by none others then Merlyn and Diaz in the end of the episode. That was such an huge twist right there!
I have no idea where this is going and Stephen Amell said that we have no idea what's coming so... Let's see if this tops off the crossover from last year.
In the meantime (I know you don't have that many time but) let me know your thoughts and I'll see you in an hour if you live tweet with me (@danixinhahhh) if not, I'll see you tomorrow with the last rant of the crossover!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 5 Episode 7 - "O Come, All Ye Thankful"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys!
So, here I am with the new The Flash rant.
This episode wasn't my favorite, I have to be honest. There was some cool moments in it and I liked the way they are approaching the Cicada story-line, but there wasn't anything that special that could make me love this episode so... This was just a good episode.
The episode actually began with the team going to the hospital where Cicada's niece is, trying to discover his identity. Actually, this is something that we get more into in the flashbacks but, for some reason, I didn't realize she was his nice. I always thought she was his daughter so this was a big revelation for me. Oh, and since we are already in that topic, yes, this episode had a lot of flashbacks of Cicada's past and how he got responsible for his niece.
This was actually something that, in a way, I kind of enjoyed because flashbacks isn't really a thing that The Flash does, and even less flashbacks about the main villain so... In that way, I liked it, but the actual story... It fell a little short for me. But let's roll with it.
After that moment in the hospital, the team actually have to deal with a new 'villain of the week', to which Barry and Nora run to stop a lightning disaster, ending with Barry getting struck and almost dying. Luckily, Nora is able to restart his heart, which as an huge relief, because I really got scared in that moment. I mean, I knew they wouldn't kill off Barry, not without saying something about Grant leaving the show (which wouldn't be The Flash anymore, to be honest) but you never know what the writers are thinking so... Anything can happen.
Then, after that incident in which Barry almost dies, Nora gets back to being the little brat that she is, telling Barry that one way to ensure he never disappears in the future is to quit being Flash now.
Moving on... The team ends up finding the person behind all the weather madness - Joss Mardon - the daughter of Mark Mardon, the Weather Wizard. Turns out Joss also has a similar staff that she used to control the weather, a staff with a piece with dark matter, just like the phone from the other episode.
As you can expect, the team goes to fight her, with Iris using a hologram to simulate Mardon (her father) being there, but Joss tries to kill him for being neglectful and that's when the plan goes to sh*t.
Post this, mad that they didn't bring her her father, Joss tries to attack an airport and creates a lightning tornado. Nora brings Barry Mardon's wand which Barry uses to absorb Joss' lightning and subdue her. And that's how the main events of the episode end.
My favorite part of the episode, though, was when Caitlin, Cisco and Sherloque choose not to join the West Allens for Thanksgiving and, suddenly, Killer Frost appears and gives them a piece of truth, which was pretty funny, in my opinion. (Also, Danielle Panabaker RTed my tweet but then she UN-RTed it, which was a bummer...)
Oh, and in the very end of the episode, the Team finally discovers Cicada's identity through the security cameras from the hospital! Seriously, this season have been a surprise with this new villain! Not only he's not a speedster (almost not even a meta) but they discovered his really identity pretty early in the season, which is something totally different so I'm really curious to see where this goes.
Post this, let me know all your thoughts and predictions for the next episode. Also, we are getting pretty close to the crossover! So excited!
Until then, I'll see you Friday with a new Supernatural rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 1 - "Inmate 4587"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
I am finally here with the rant of Arrow's new season!
Well, I have to say, I was quite scared of this episode. After Supernatural's season premiere, which I didn't like, I was really afraid I wasn't going to like Arrow's as well, mainly because both series have been airing for quite some time and they are basically dealing with the same issue - changing things up, and you already know how I feel about changing. Even more with two of my favorite series!
Luckily, I did enjoy this episode and I'm quite curious for the rest of the season. It looks like them changing show runners was a good thing and I'm liking where this is going.
We get into this season five months after what happened last season. We see Oliver in prison, trying to keep a low profile in order to get his sentence reduced. We also see that this is extremely difficult because, not only people keep provoking him because they all know now that he's the Green Arrow, but also because there's Diaz's associates inside the prison who also want him to loose his temper.
Meanwhile, Felicity and William try to cope with witness protection program while Diggle and ARGUS keep looking for Diaz.
Something also starts happening in Star City, or should I say, someone. A knew vigilante dressed as Green Arrow appears and takes down some arms trafficking operations. This was something interesting, one of the best things in this episode.
With Diaz still alive, I was pretty curious about who would they have as a 'bad guy' this season. Where they going to keep Diaz as the bad guy? Are they introducing another bad guy and still have Diaz around? My bet was the first thing, and I still think it's the thing that it's going to happen, but now they introduced a new element (or should I say, two) and, I don't know about you, but my first thought was that this archer guy was Roy. I was half right, I guess. We already knew that Colton Haynes was back to the show and I saw in an interview that he said that he was going to come back in a 'weird' way. Well, now that I think about it... I guess I'm a bit confused with this whole thing. Maybe they will do some intertwining with The Flash... I don't know, but I'm going to jump straight into the end because it was the most interesting part.
The episode actually ended with a 'flashback' (or so I thought). We see someone go to Lian Yu and then get captured. We then find out that Roy is in the island, he was the one who captured this guy and, turns out, this guy is none other then William! Which makes this not a flashback but a flash-forward! This is huge for Arrow because they have never done this, so I'm quite excited! At the same time, I'm confused because if William is the archer guy that his in Star City right now, as an adult, does that mean that he came to the past?! Or his this archer guy Roy? I don't know, but I hope to find out answers soon.
This archer guy also raises a lot of questions in the remaining Team Arrow. While Rene kind of trusts him and thinks that he's doing what's right (which I kind of agree), Dinah doesn't agree with Rene and is set to arrest him.
Well, and I guess that's pretty much it.
Although the beginning of the episode wasn't that great, it came around and by the end I was really excited! Loved that last 'fight scene' with Oliver in prison and then, of course, the flash-forward was something really unexpected! Congrats Arrow!
Now, let me know your thoughts and predictions and I'll see you later with the new AHS rant (which I'm so excited about)!
Love,
Daniela.

American Horror Story: Apocalypse | Season 8 Episode 1 - "The End"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
Here we are with a brand new American Horror Story season!
This was a season that got everyone really hyped, because this was the Coven/Murder House crossover - the crossover that everyone was waiting for. And, because of that, and because Coven and Murder House are the ones that the fans like the most (I like Murder House, Coven not so much) so everyone was waiting for this season with really high expectations. I can't say I wasn't excited, but I wasn't like that hyped - of course I want to see Violet and Tate back (and they are going to be in this season) but, maybe because I wasn't the biggest fan of Coven, I wasn't as excited as everyone else. I guess that's a good thing though, so I don't have my hopes up. Anyway, right of the batch I can say that this first episode met my expectations - I think it was good to set things up, get to know the new characters but still have some questions about the whole thing. Also, this first episode already had something that I wasn't expecting - Michael Langdon. I can say that this character is the one that I'm most curious and excited about, and I wasn't expecting him right in the first episode. Yes, it was only in the very end, but I wasn't expecting him at all, so that was nice.
So, as the title of the episode says, this first episode is The End, the end of the world were, in the future, nuclear missile destroy the world and start a nuclear winter.
With this happening, of course some people had to survive, and those people are the new characters that we meet - Coco, Mallory, Mr. Gallant and Evie (the later being one of my favorites right away just because she brings a little of light to the whole chaos with her humor).
As well as this characters, we also meet two young characters that are saved by an organization called the Cooperative, who rescue young adults based on their genetic makeup (for what, still remains to be answered). This two young adults - Timothy and Emily - are sent to Outpost 3 were they, as well as us, the audience, meet a few more characters - Mrs. Venable (played by Sarah Paulson) and Kathy Bates' character (who I can't remember the name of).
When they arrive at Outpost 3, that's when we see that that's where Coco and were crew ended up as well. And, as expected, some creepy things go down in that place. There's still a lot more that we need to find out although I don't know if were getting to see a lot more of this place since, in the very end of the episode, like I mentioned before, Michael Langdon arrives saying that there's another place were they can go, but there's a catch - he's going to see who's worthy of going and, who isn't, is just going to die so... I'm expecting some deaths in the next episode - maybe Coco or Evie...
I also have a feeling that the place Michael Langdon is talking about is the Coven house. I haven't seen that season in a while so I can't be sure but we don't really know if the house has a bunker or something or the witches can just do some magic spell to protect the house from all the nuclear fall out.
I don't know... There's also the possibility that he's talking about the Murder House I mean, it's the place where he was born and maybe he still lives there... All I know is that there has to be some type of connection and I just can't wait for that.
I'm really curious about Michael Langdon, his character is so intriguing and most of us have been wondering about him for years so I can't wait to dive deeper into that. Also, I think Cody Fern is perfect for the role. I really liked him in American Crime Story and I can't wait to see what he does with Michael Langdon.
Anyway, this are my thoughts on the season premiere, let me know yours!
As usual, I'll see you next week with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Supernatural | Season 13 Episode 16 - "Scoobynatural"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
Here we are with the most anticipated Supernatural episode (and rant) - the Scooby-Doo crossover!
I'm starting off by saying that you are going to hear me (read) saying basically the same thing for this episode as for Arrow's (which the rant is coming up next) so I appologize in advance.
Overall, this episode was really great but I just can't agree with most people that were saying that this was their favourite episode ever from Supernatural.
Yes, it was super funny and something never seen! There's no other TV Show that did a crossover with an animated show and that's quite something by it's own. Also, this had everything a normal episode of supernatural has but, truth be told, this was basically a filler episode. You can clearly see that this episode was made just for the crossover, which I apreciate, don't get me wrong, but there wasn't any storyline development and that's what I look forward in the episodes.
Anyway, I can't say that I hated the episode because I didn't, I loved it, I just wish there was a little bit more of storyline development. Well, in the end, this episode was just for laughs really. It started off with a pretty 'dumb' thing, with the boys fighting a plushie. After helping a guy, he gives the boys a free TV and that's how they get stuck in the scooby-doo world as cartoons.
This was something that we found out pretty soon, just by the previews, but I still need to point out that it was a really clever way to turns the boys into cartoons.
So, that's what happened and, while looking for the boys, soon Castiel is stuck in the scooby world as well.
I've never seen Scooby-Doo, so I don't know but, from what I've read online, this was a pretty dark version of scooby-do. The 'Supernatural' in the episode, and both the Scooby Gang and the Winchesters + Cas had to fight a real ghost.
Working together, the Winchesters and the Scooby Gang trap the ghost who reveals himself to be a young boy who a guy in the real world is using to scare away some people.
In the end, the ghost helps the boys to fool the Scooby Gang to thing that this was some real person because, like Dean said, the Scooby Gang is too pure and there's no real 'supernatural' in their world so they had to make everything right again.
They then get back to the real world and the boys help free the young boy's ghost and just catch the bad guy in the end.
Well, I need to point out that through out this whole episode Dean was hitting on Daphne, not having much luck in the end, unlike Sam, who got a kiss from Velma, which was pretty funny in my opinion. Also, really enjoyed the Cas, Shaggy and Scooby trio. It was pretty funny to see Cas find out that Scooby is a talking dog.
Oh, also, before getting sucked into Scooby-Doo, Castiel is shown to have gotten the fruit from the Tree of Life, so that was a tiny bit of storyline development.
So, I guess that's pretty much it.
Like I said before, overall this was a great episode but still a bit of a filler.
Let me know what you thought about it and I'll see you next with a new Arrow rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Supernatural | Season 13 Episode 15 - "A Most Holy Man"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!
So, like I promised, here I am with the latest Supernatural rant.
Unfortunately, this time, I don't have that many good things to say. Of course the episodes are always good but, this time, I don't know... I feel like it was a little boring. Overall, I didn't like the style of the episode and, to be honest, maybe I had my hopes real high and that was what made me not like the episode that much. You know I told you last week that I thought the quest for the ingredients was going to be nice but... This one disappointed me.
Right in the beginning we learn that Castiel is looking for one of the ingredients, which meant no Cass, then the other ingredient they needed Lucifer and they still didn't know where he is so, also no Lucifer and I don't know if they mentioned the third ingredient but, the last one, which was the blood of a most holy man was the only one that they got a lead on. They realized that it was the blood of a saint so they started digging.
Through a black market dealer named Margaret Astor, the Winchesters are directed to a man named Richard Greenstreet who says has a saint's blood. The thing is, he only gives him the blood if they get something for him - the skull of Saint Peter, which has recently been stolen from a monastery in Malta by a man working for Seattle's mob boss Santino Scarpatti. You see where this is going, right?
I have to say that this episode was really all 'Dean Style' but I didn't really enjoy it, unfortunatelly.
Anyway, they go after that skull and that's when Santino Scarpatti gets to them, saying that, because his man was killed and someone stole the skull, that he would give them good money to buy the blood in exchange for them to find and give him the skull.
After that, things get way out of hand when the brothers meet Father Lucca Camilleri, a priest from Malta who was also looking for the skull but for altruistic reasons.
Sam being the good guy that he his, he decides to help Lucca and that's when the Winchesters find that Margares Astor had murdered the thief to auction the skull off to everyone interested. Sam joins the auction but things go wrong, again, and a massive shooting starts, killing Margaret, Scarpatti and their henchmen.
During the fight, Lucca saves Dean's life and the Winchesters learn that Greenstreet lied about having the saint's blood.
After that, Greenstreet is arrested and Lucca goes home with the skull. But, just before he leaves, Sam learns that he's an apostolic protonotary supernumery, which then Lucca basicaly says that he was declared "a most holy man". It wa pretty clear, halfway the episode that they just needed the man's blood and, in the end, that's exactly what they do - ask the man for a bit of his blood, which he gives to them.
And well, I guess that's pretty much it.
Overall, like I said, not my favourite episode but I assure you, I'm really stoked for the next one! Because it's the Scooby-Doo episode so I really can't wait! Unfortunatelly, the show is going on hiatus again and just gets back in two weeks so... We're gonna have wait.
Until then, let me know your thoughts and predictions!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 4 Episode 9 - "Don't Run"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone and here's the midseason finale rant of The Flash!
Midseason episodes are known for having a lot of information about the whole season and, mainly, ending with a big cliffhanger so that was exactly what happened in this episode.
I must say that this whole episode caught me off guard. I wasn't expecting anything of what happened and, in my opinion, this is really a good step up from last season. Last season was so disappointing, with all the secrets and the guessing who's the villain that, in the end, it was pretty bad and basically everyone 'hated' last seasn so I'm glad that the Producers realised it and changed completely.
We could already tell from the very beginning of the season but this midseason finale is just proof that The Flash can do better and that it isn't a dark show - it is totally different from Arrow and the producers should keep it that way, it works so much better.
So, this episode was the one after the big crossover so, obviously, they had to address it a little bit in the beginning. We see Barry and Iris sorting out their wedding gifts after arriving from their honeymoon.
I must point out the coment that Iris made about Oliver and Felicity marrying the same day... I just hated it! I already disliked Iris and, after that coment... Man, I got so mad. It was such a tiny detail but it messed me up so much. She seemed like she didn't like that fact that Olicity married in the same day WestAllen did and... Ugh! I thought they would like it... I mean, Barry seemed fine with it, just Iris was upset... I think that was such a disrespect to her 'friendship' with Felicity I mean... I thought they were friends! Ugh, let's just move on with the story because this is making me so mad!
Anyway, I also have to point out Barry's comment about not wanting to run anymore because that just made full circle with the ending of the episode, which I thought amazing!
After sorting out their wedding presents, they went Christmas shopping and that was when Barry is ambushed and kidnapped by DeVoe while, in Jitters, Caitlin is kidnapped by Amunet (that little biatch).
Back in STAR Labs, Iris claims they need to look for both of them, despite Wells claiming that they have insufficient resources.
We see Barry is DeVoe's lair, trapped, which is kind of knew, while DeVoe teaches him a lesson on how there's no happy endings. I mean, with all of this weddings and stuff, I almost forgot the fact that DeVoe was planning on 'attacking' after they got married so, it was a little bit of a surprise to me.
Meanwhile, Caitlin is forced by Amunet to perform surgery on a metahuman named Dominic, who can read minds. They try to escape but Amunet blocks their exit. They are forced to get back and, as she's starting the surgery, Caitlin is able to incapacitate Amunet, allowing her and Dominic to fully escape and then be 'rescued' by Cisco and Ralph, who are able to find her after Iris making the call and choosing to only look for Caitlin, leaving Barry 'alone'.
That was also a surprise to me because, since Barry is the main character of the show, and Iris' now husband, I would thought she would choose to look for him but, at the same time, it was too obvious so... I get that. Besides, looking for him wouldn't allow for the next part of the episode to happen so, she had to.
So, like I was saying... They are able to save Caitlin and, just after that, Barry is also able to escape from DeVoe. I don't know about you but it seemed a little to easy for me but, I don't know, I just didn't pay too much attention into that. Well, I should've because next, when Team Flash is celebrating Christmas at Joe's house, Dominic appears and that's basically when everything changes.
It wasn't that obvious. They invited Dominic so I didn't think something was off. But then, Barry gets an alert from his house. He goes there, just thinking that it's more wedding presents being delivered and that's when he gets a call from Dominic, making known the fact that he's being controlled by DeVoe.
And, in the very end, DeVoe not only reveals what really happend to him and Dominic (that they basically changed bodies or something like that) but also reveals to Barry  that he framed him for his own murder. The police then arrives and that's when Barry says to himself 'Don't Run' (which I think was amazing) and the police arrests him.
All of this was so unexpected to me! I never in a million years would think that Barry was going to be arrested, and I guess this is the good thing about this villain. Because he isn't a speedster, we don't really know what he's capable of, so I don't know what to expect from him, and that is kind of scary actually!
Nonetheless, this is so good and so exciting and I'm just bummed that I have to wait until January 16th for the new episode... It's going to be a long way.
Anyway, we still have one more episode of both Arrow and Supernatural so expect that in a few days! I'll see you then!
Love,
Daniela.

Legends of Tomorrow | Season 3 Episode 8 - "Crisis on Earth-X, Part 4"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone and here it is the fourth and final part of the biggest (and best) DCTV crossover!
Oh my god, this episode! This might have not been better that the previous part but it was for sure just as good.
I have to say that this episode was such a rollercoaster, full of emotions and, just like with the other parts, I have a lot to say so let's just get onto it.
Like it was expected, this is the episode where all the other Legends come in action. Ray appears and saves not only Kara but also Iris and Felicity while Nate releases everyone from the pipeline.
Meanwhile, on Earth-X, what I predicted was kind of what happened. Stein wasn't really dead and he is, indeed, able to activate the portal before succumbing to his injuries. That's when Jax approaches him and they 'merge' but, instead of like 'curing' Stein, it only made him live for a little longer.
They are able to go through the portal and get back to Earth-1. That's when a little bit of each team faces the Metallo while Felicity and Kara are caught by Dark Arrow while trying to get to the Waverider. Dark Arrow is about to kill Felicity but that's when Oliver appears with Dark Supergirl and also threats to kill her, that's when the Reverse Flash appears and 'rescues' both Dark Arrow and Dark Supergirl, taking them to their own Waverider (which I can't remember the name).
Leaving STAR Labs, all the members from each team gather on the Waverider, where they try to cure Stein, but with no luck, only his connectionto Jax keeping him alive, but barely, slowly killing them both.
After that, the saddest scene in this crossover (and probably the saddes on Legends) happens. In order to save Jax, Stein takes the serum that Cisco developed, cutting Jax and Stein's connection. And without the connection, Stein ends up dying.
Although we already knew that Victor Garber was going to leave the show, it was still sad, very sad, and when Jax delivered the news to Lily and Clarissa it was even more sad. But that, brough even more purpose to their 'fight' and that's what motivated them for what happened next.
They find out that Dark Supergirl not only is dying but, when she does, she will 'explode' and create some type of Supernova so, not only they have to stop the Nazis, but also make sure Dark Supergirl doesn't die in the planet. And that's when the big fight happen.
This was probably the biggest fight we ever had on the four shows and it was amazing! Most of it was done with Special Effects so props to the SFX Team because it was great! I can actually imagine all the work you had (I myself did some 3D projects and I know how much work it's put into that) so it was absolutelly amazing!
In this fight we basically see each character fight their doppelganger so Oliver against Dark Arrow, Supergirl against Dark Supergirl and Barry against Reverse Flash. Barry is the only one not killing his enemy but I can understand that. Not only it isn't part of Barry's character but it would probably also mess the timeline so, it was better this way.
Apart from that, they got to distroy the Waverider from Earth-X and Supergirl took Dark Supergirl to space and the latter died there. Oh and yeah, Oliver did kill his doppelganger.
In the end, Ray got back to Earth-X, while Snart chose to stay (I'm curious about that, though), they attend Martin's funeral, the legends get back to their work and Kara and Alex get back to their Earth.
And, the very end, my favourite part!
Remember me complaining about Diggle? Well, we did get Diggle in the end (I would be mad if we didn't) just marry Iris and Barry right in that moment and, as Diggle is about to say they were married... Felicity says she wants to marry Oliver as well! Heck, she even asks Oliver to marry her, which was so cute! And yes, they marry right there, along with Barry and Iris and, although I wanted like a big wedding, both of the couples kind of already have a wedding party and such so, it was beautiful nonetheless and it was just so sweet that both Barry and Oliver got married in the same day! I just loved it! And, once again, I would be mad if by the end of the crossover Felicity and Oliver didn't, at least, get engaged so, I was even happier when they got married!
It was an happy ending for such an amazing crossover!
So, my last thoughts on the whole crossover:
Loved the fact that we had Winn and Diggle (the ones that I was more afraid we wouldn't get) still, we didn't have Winn like I wanted to have him. We didn't have Mon-El, which I really wanted as well, I'm dying to have Chris Wood and Grant Gustin interact more. I wanted a little bit more of Black Canary in this, we barely saw Team Arrow, though. But I loved everything with Barry and Oliver together and, most of all, Olicity was strong in this crossover so, thank you writers for that!
Overall, I don't think they will ever be able to top off this year's crossover but I'll be waiting. As long as I have Barry and Oliver together, it's fine by me. I just love them together! Now, I just can't wait to see everyones reactions to Olicity being married as well and WestAllen (but mostly Olicity).
I'm sad it ended but next week we will have more, not togehter though, of each show so, I'm excited for that! It's the mid-season finales so, don't miss them!
Let me know all your thoughts on the episode, I would love to know everything and I'll see you Friday with a new Supernatural rant (actually, I'm going to live tweet tomorrow so @danixinhahhh if you want to live tweet with me).
Love,
Daniela.
