The Flash | Season 6 Episode 19 - "Success is Assured"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
And, just like that, we arrived at the season finale of The Flash... It's really a bummer because we were supposed to have, at least, three more episodes this season, and I'm pretty sure those would've change the whole thing.
But anyway, after watching the episode for a second time, I realized that it wasn't that bad. It was actually pretty good if you keep in mind that this wasn't supposed to be the Season Finale. Initially I thought it was a lame ending and, although I still think some parts were lame, I think it worked as a finale. The downside is that we're stuck with Eva as a villain for, at least, the beginning of next season. I did understand Eva a bit better this episode but still, I don't think she works as a villain. Plus, her work is done - she killed Carver - so... What's her deal now? I guess we'll have to wait for next season (maybe next year) to find out.
I've talked enough without getting into the actual episode so let's get into those details.
Well, needless to say that this whole episode was about protecting Carver against Eva. It starts out small, with Barry and Ralph finding Carver's warehouse where he kept stuff about people that he could 'manipulate', including Sue Dearbon's parents.
That leads me to a little side-story - when Ralph contacts Sue's parents just to find out that she is already with her parents and, later on, Ralph finds out that she actually traded places with her parents and became part of the Black Hole - all in order to kill Carver.
But, rewinding a bit... Barry offers Carver protection, but he doesn't accept it, thinking that Ultraviolet, Doctor Light and Sunshine are enough to protect him. What he doesn't know is that Eva got to them and they're now working for her. Well, that only leaves one option - accept Barry's offer. And, just as they're leaving CCPD, Mirror-Singh appears to take Carver and that's when another 'side-story' (not really though) happens - when Mirror-Singh makes a proposition to Barry. Carver in exchange for Iris. This raises some questions inside Nash's mind (now full of all the other Wells') and he later on confronts Barry. I don't know if they're going somewhere with that 'suspicion' but it looked like it was the end of it.
Fast-forwarding a bit, they decide to hide in the reinforced McCulloch building just to then be attacked by the meta-human trio. There's a whole fight scene which, although I thought it was kinda cool, it was a bit too much for The Flash and, at times, the CGI wasn't the best (which is unusual for the show - I let it slide because of the virus). While Nash, Allegra, Ralph and Sue fight the trio, Barry tries to save Carver against Eva but... He fails. Eva kills Carver which, I can't blame her, and leaves Barry and Team Flash live, saying that her work is done. Although Barry promises to keep going after her.
After that, Eva reveals herself to the public, saying that she was held hostage by a crime syndicate and rescued by Carver, who was killed moments after they reunite. She gets her company back but that really isn't the end of it. Eva frames Sue for Carvers murder and so Team Flash now not only have to try and rescue Iris, Kamilla an Singh from the Mirrorverse but also clear Sue's name.
The episode ends with Team Flash agreeing on this plan, Joe returning from witness protection, Caitlin departing with her mother and, while in the Mirrorverse, Iris and Kamilla find Singh just to, right away, Iris inexplicably vanishing before Kamilla's eyes.
That last part sounds promising, although you know I don't care much for the Iris' story-line. It wasn't the best Season Finale but, considering everything (the virus and how this season was going) it wasn't the worst either. I just hope Eva doesn't stay for the whole Season 7.
Anyway... This are my thoughts on The Flash's Season 6 Finale. Let me know what you thought of the Finale and the Season overall and I'll talk to you tomorrow (if you watch The Challenge).
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 18 - "Pay the Piper"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
I'm back for a new week of rants and I'm happy to report that we're starting on a good note.
That's right guys, this week's episode of The Flash was pretty good. Not as good as it used to be, but still better than some of the previous episodes. And you know why? Because for once they focused on Barry/The Flash and 'forgot' the Iris/Eva story-line. You already know how I feel about that (and I'm going to talk a bit more throughout the post) so I'm not going to focus on that (now). Instead, let's start with some good things. The episode still had it's downs, which I'll get into later, but there was a lot about it that I liked so let's talk about those first.
As we saw in the preview, this episode was going to be kind of about Godspeed, and that is already a good thing. I said this while I was live tweeting but I'll say it again - Godspeed would be such a better villain than Eva. I guess they're setting that up for an upcoming season, but I wish they had done that this season. But, apart from Godspeed we also had the comeback of Hartley Rathaway.
We learn that Crisis messed up the timeline even more and that Hartley is even madder at The Flash than he was before. Luckily, Team Flash comes up with an idea - saving Hartley's boyfriend that was injured the last time Barry and Hartley fought, in exchange for Hartley helping Barry defeat Godspeed. It doesn't work that well in the beginning but, as usual, they manage to do it. It's a long process but we all know that Hartley is a softie deep down and, personally, I love him. So, he does help Barry and they do kind of defeat Godspeed in the end (and help Hartley's boyfriend). I say kind of because, in the end, it is revealed that this wasn't the real Godspeed, yet again, and that there's someone 'controlling' these Godspeeds. Also, side note, am I the only one that didn't remember they had caught so many Godspeeds already?! I don't know but lately it seems like they're adding up stuff to the story that didn't happen in previous seasons. Maybe it's just that there has been too much going on. Let me know if you remember in which episodes this happened or if they just mentioned it in this episode.
The other story-line that I enjoyed, even though it was clearly filler and just a plot point to send Caitlin off, was Ralph and Frost. Caitlin's story-line in the previous episode was almost nothing and it really annoyed me. At least, in this episode, it was deeper and better explained. Also, yeah, maybe I'm a bit biased because it involves Ralph and I'm a sucker for anything with Ralph. I can't help it. He's such a great character! However, it was pretty clear that they were trying to cover up Danielle's pregnancy and that this was a way to not have her in the last episodes which, by the way, are not happening anymore (I'll get into that in a minute).
On a more technical level, I think this episode was pretty strong. Not only they brought back those chasing scenes with The Flash and another speedster, which I love, but also the editing in the Mirrorverse with Iris and Kamilla was so good! I wish they had done that throughout the whole season when it was scenes in the Mirrorverse. Well, but that was about it when it comes to good things in the Mirrorverse. I'm really so tired of the whole Iris and Eva thing, you have no idea... The whole concept looks dumb to me and there's way too many plot wholes. Just get done with it already! Well, I guess they are.
That's right guys, next week's episode will be the season finale. That really caught me off guard. I knew they didn't have time to film the last three episodes but I thought they were going to wait, just like Supernatural. Well, I guess not. I don't know what that's going to work and how everything is going to wrap up but, to be honest, I'm not expecting much. This season didn't look good already and with an unexpected ending... Everything points to a crappy season finale but... I might be wrong. I hope I'm wrong!
Anyway, Cisco did talk about going to Atlantis to get something so... Are we going to see Aquaman?! I doubt it, to be honest, but with Ezra Miller in the crossover... You never know.
And... That's it from me. An improvement but not enough to save this season...
Let me know your thoughts on this episode and what are your predictions for the season finale and I'll see you tomorrow for a brand new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 17 - "Liberation"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
I'm back with a new The Flash rant and thank god this week's episode was better than the last one. Still, it wasn't what the show used to be and I don't get why people are saying this is one of the show's best episodes ever but it sure was an improvement from previous episodes.
Overall, my complaint is the same - the villains. The villains are so annoying this season. Plus, the fact they wanted to give Iris more things to do just made everything worse, to be honest. Again, I'm going to repeat myself, but the show is called The Flash so Barry should be the main focus... But anyway, let's get into what really happened in the episode.
Well, I guess the main thing is really that Barry finally figured it out that Iris isn't Iris! We knew this was going to happen because of the preview, but still, it was nice to see they go full on with that story and not coming up with something to deny his theory or something. I mean, I guess they tried but, in the end of the episode, Barry figured out the whole thing and even talked with Eva. Sure, Iris is still stuck inside the mirror but at least there's no 'bullshit' anymore and we can finally move on with the story.
That was basically the only 'good thing' about this episode. I did like the end though. The CGI with MIris with those 'glass arms' was so cringe though and the fight overall was not great but I liked the moment where MIris just 'breaks'. It did not make much sense that she, out of a sudden, decided that she 'liked' Barry, but okay... I can deal with that. What I can not deal is that they decided to go back to Ramsey. He wasn't even good before Eva came along. And him, along with Eva and Black Hole... I just couldn't. I hope they not go back to him again because I can't deal with more crappy villains.
Ramsey was just a way for Eva to get out of the mirror, so let's hope he doesn't get involved any further. And after getting to him, we get to see that whole thing that I already talked about - real Iris finding out Eva's real plan, Eva trapping Iris in the mirror, MIris fighting Barry and Eva getting out of the mirror. That still left real Iris inside the mirror so now Barry has to find a way to get to her (unfortunately). Okay, I might be a bit mean right now. I did like that ending with them talking to each other through the mirror... It was emotional, so I'll give them that.
That was the meat of the episode. However, there was another story. Not that it needed to be, though. To be completely honest, the side story - Caitlin's story - sounded like a lot of bullshit and really just a filler. Turns out Caitlin is still 'injured' from her fight with Sunshine and creating some type of reaction sending her human part into hypothermia. With that, Caitlin decides to talk to her mother. That was it really. Ralph and Cisco found her, realized they couldn't do much and Caitlin decided she needed her mother's help. I really don't know why they needed to add that.
Anyway, this was this week's The Flash episode. As I said, better than the last one but not good enough. By now I already lost my hope with this season so I'm just rolling with it.
Let me know what you thought of the episode. Are you as disappointed as I am with this season? Or are you one of those people that loved this episode? Tell me everything and I'll see you tomorrow with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 16 - "So Long and Goodnight"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys!
So, The Flash is back with a new episode but, unfortunately, with one of the worst episodes I've seen lately.
There's so many things that I disliked about this episode but, overall, I think it was more on a technical level. Still, the story is really boring to me and I've said that before. Ever since the Crisis I feel like they were lost on which direction the show would take. They've been stuck for so long on the 'Barry is missing' thing that once that didn't happen, they didn't know what to do - mainly with Barry. And, because of that, and because of all the people that wanted more Iris (not me though) they created an Iris centered story-line which really isn't working.
There's mainly two stories in this episode - Joe's and Ralph's. I'm going to start with the worst one so we end on an happier note.
The story that I found really boring and just lame overall was Joe's story. Not that I disliked that they were targeting Joe, it was just the way the writers put the story. First of all, that first scene with Joe's car accident was really awful - really badly edited. The song choice didn't fit the show at all and where they decided to put it was really odd (in between other things). I don't know, I just felt like it didn't fit the show's identity.
Oh, I must say that I did have to re-watch the episode. Not only because I was kind of distracted when I watched it live but also because I didn't remember much of what was going on - and that is another of my complaints. With all this hiatus, and long hiatus, I don't remember the story anymore. I don't blame them or the hiatus, I know it's not their fault, but they didn't have a previously in the beginning of the episode and so, when it started, I was pretty lost.
But anyway, after that 'first' scene with the car, there's a bunch of other stuff - stuff with Black Hole and with Eva. And, I've said this before but I'm going to say it again - they are really putting Barry on the 'backseat' for this season and I don't know if it's working. The whole thing with Eva and Fake Iris is the worst really. Eva basically has a plan to make Fake Iris make Barry loose his speed and the way Fake Iris acted in this episode... Was so unlike Iris. At this point, I really don't know how anyone caught it yet. She really overreacted, mainly the end, but really throughout the whole episode and, needless to say, I was so annoyed!
And well, there were a few other things that annoyed me and, in my head, didn't make sense - such as Joe calling Cecile Babe?! That was really odd to me. Then, with the bomb, they clearly had time to run away but... Oh well... Rag Doll was a nice touch though, because he really is that creepy and I like the vibes he brings to the show but, once again, way too many characters popping into the episode for no apparent reason. Not only that but also their acting. I feel like the people who didn't have a big part in this episode, their acting was really off (Nash, Cecile and Allegra).
It was a really awful episode and the cherry on top was that ending. OMG that ending was the most over-dramatic thing I've ever seen. Joe's going to witness protection, okay... What's the big deal?! They all were acting like he was going to die or something and, again, the score they chose was really off - way too dramatic. And don't even get me started on the whole Iris thing like... That was so unnecessary... Jesus!
Luckily, Ralph was in this episode to kind of save it. Okay, I might be a bit biased but his story-line really was the best part of the episode. I loved the whole thing with Cisco, with Cisco meeting Sue. Cisco is clearly and Ralph/Sue shipper (do they have a name yet?). I must say, I was kind of afraid I wouldn't like her because I love Ralph so much but I think they look pretty cute together and I can't wait to see where they go from here.
Well, this are my thoughts on the latest The Flash episode. I know I was really harsh on it but I'm just being real here. This season really took a turn for me and I feel like without Arrow, The Flash lost it's magic (not that it has anything to with Arrow but it's just a 'coincidence'). Let me know what you thought of the episode and I'll see you tomorrow with a The Challenge rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 15 - "The Exorcism of Nash Wells"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
So, new episode of The Flash. I must say, this wasn't as bad as some of the previous episodes, but it wasn't as good as the last one. I guess this was fine. However, this wasn't really memorable because I can't really remember it that well. I'm going to try my best on reviewing it, but I can't promise I'll cover everything.
As usual, an episode convoluted with story-lines. Not as much as the previous one, but still three different ones. The main one, as the title says, was actually interesting.
Initially Team Flash was dealing with Thawne and trying to come up with a plan on what to do with him and how to 'save' Nash but, as it was bound to happen, Thawne tricks them and, momentarily gets free. Luckily, they get an old of him and that's when this story-line really happens. Basically Thawne is trapping Nash inside his mind and, it's pretty complicated so I'm just going to move along and, Nash deals with the death of his daughter Maya (Allegra's doppelganger), and gets himself free, getting Thawne out of his mind. However, he keeps seeing the other Wells', which is kind of interesting, in my opinion.
Then, we have the 'not so interesting' story-lines. Mainly the one with Iris in the mirror.
Turns out Kamilla is not dead but she starts working with Mirror Iris to get some type of device that Eva needs to get herself free. So both of them go after that device only to find someone else looking for it as well. Flash and Killer Frost go after this thief and Frost is almost killed during all of this, mainly because of Barry's speed getting 'faulty'. And this raises an 'outside' issue for me.
This is a side note but we all know that Danielle Panabaker is pregnant ans it is so obvious in the show. I know they're trying but it's painful to watch, to be honest. The screens in front of her, the camera angles that only focus on her face and the pillow on her lap in one of the final scenes in this episode... It all really bothers me and I wish they had found another way to hide it or just to send Caitlin away. And, with the production on hold, I wonder if, by the time they get to shooting, Danielle has to give birth?! I don't know, but I guess it's a possibility.
Anyway, getting back to the plot. Of course Team Flash deals with this thief. However, Mirror Iris and Mirror Kamilla get the device and do give it to Eva, so things are going to start moving now.
And well, in the very end of the episode, Barry decides to use Nora's journal to create his artificial Speed Force, since Thawne told her how to do it.
I'm hopeful that the show will get better, mainly because of this last story. I just wish they would get rid of the whole Mirror thing, it's really boring.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and what are your thoughts on this Mirror story-line. The Flash is only back in April so, in the meantime, I'll see you with other rants!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 14 - "Death of the Speed Force"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people, once again!
I know, this review is long overdue but... Better late than never right?!
Well, to be completely honest, I wasn't able to watch the episode live and then I kept putting it off because the previous episodes haven't been that great. This season of The Flash, mainly after Crisis, has been really poor. Really convoluted with story-lines and with no particular direction. However, I think we finally got somewhere! The episode still started out on a really rough note, but it of better in the end and I'm hopeful for what comes next. There is still so many issues with it tho, so let's get onto it.
First of all, the multiple story-lines is still an issue. There was way to many things happening in this episode - 6 overall in this episode - starting out with two comebacks. Like they couldn't have waited to bring one at a time. I know, Wally was just a special guest in this episode, but they had to mix that with Cisco coming back so, right away, two plots that shouldn't have been together. And this gets even worse because both this characters come with two different plots.
Wally's mission in all of this was warn Barry about the Speed Force which, from the title, looks like the main plot of the episode, but it really doesn't shine because of everything else that is going on. However, I did like that they intertwined the Speed Force dying with the Spectre (aka Oliver) which is always nice. Needless to say that the Speed Force does die in the end which, ultimately, was a good thing. I say this because it brought us a more interesting plot - building Barry's own Speed Force. I see that story-line being way more interesting that everything else that they're dealing with (aka Iris story) so let's just hope they take advantage of it and that they do it well.
Then, we have Cisco who has his own story. Kind of two, to be honest, because he helps with the 'baddie of the week' but I guess I can say his main story is the one with Nash and, in this case, with Thawne. Yes, I know I said in my last The Flash rant that I was kind of annoyed that they're bring Thawne back but, hear me out. This Thawne being in Nash's body and without powers?! This looks way more interesting than the 'usual' Reverse Flash. I don't know about you but now I'm curious to see what Thawne does and what the producers do with this story. Again, let's hope they come up with something interesting and stronger.
Those where the two things that redeemed this episode for me. The remaining story-lines were really poor and not interesting at all! We had the baddie of the week, as I said, which was boring and I really don't want to get into it (I don't think it matter for the rest of the season, to be honest), and we had a bit of a development when it comes to the Iris story-line in the mirror.
Well, turns out, Kamilla discovers evidence of mirror Iris' true nature but, in the very end, the 'fake Iris' shoots Kamilla with the mirror gun and... there she goes. I can't remember if she's really dead or if something just happened to Kamilla so, if you do, please let me know because I was so shocked with that last scene! I assume Kamilla is dead because, as I said in my last rant, they are introducing way too many characters so it's time to get rid of some. In a way, they already got rid of Nash and I guess now Kamilla as well?! I don't know, please enlighten me.
Anyway, this are my thoughts on the latest The Flash episode. Tell me what you think and I guess I'll see you in an hour on twitter for the new episode!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 13 - "Grodd Friended Me"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
I'm back from my hiatus which means catching up on a lot of series and on a lot of reviews. I'm starting of with The Flash... Unfortunately...
After the previous episode, I had hope that this season would turn out better than what I thought it would, but it got right back to the same old story and the same 'format' and I'm really not enjoying this.
This episode started out in a good way, with 'only' Barry and him finding Hartley Rathaway. Not only I like Hartley but, after the last few episodes being really focused on Iris, I thought this one would get back to the roots and focus on Barry, but I guess I was wrong. Pretty soon they introduced other characters and other story-lines and that is what has been bothering me - there's way too many story-lines at the same time and that just confuses me. It's like the producers don't know where to focus the story so they just 'shoot' everywhere and see what sticks - which is nothing, to be honest. And on top of that, there's way too many characters on the show right now. So they either stop introducing new ones or they are preparing to have a 'whole new cast' with a bunch of our favorite actors leaving the show which, unfortunately, is the most likely thing to happen. And, with how things are going, I wouldn't even be surprised if Grant Gustin left the show. Call me whatever you want, but Iris just isn't as interesting as Barry and no one can convince me otherwise.
But back to the story, this episode was heavily focused on Barry being inside Grodd's mind and Grodd turning good after the Crisis. I mean, it was nice to see that Crisis really messed things up but I think we get it by now. Yes, Crisis was important, but enough is enough and the show needs to go forward, and this story didn't do that. This really felt like a filler episode and there wasn't one bit that I really enjoyed or cared about.
Apart from that story with Grodd, there was also the Iris and Eva inside the mirror things and surprise! Eva is evil... Like we didn't know that already...
The only story-line that was mildly interesting was the Nash and Allegra one but pretty soon that got me rolling my eyes too. The episode ends with Sherloque Wells warning Nash that 'He is coming' aka the Reverse Flash and... Again?! Like, I'm so tired of him! I don't think he's a good villain but it's not even that, they have used him so many times that I'm just tired...
Yeah, as you can see, and pretty disappointed with this show and that really is a bummer because Arrow is over and Supernatural is ending in a few months and... I just need this show to stay good because it's one of the few lefts that I really love...
Anyway, let me know what you thought of this episode and I'm sorry I'm late with this rant... As I said, I was on holidays and there was no way for me to watch the episode.
I'll see you pretty soon with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 12 - "A Girl Named Sue"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Well, this episode of The Flash was so much better than the previous ones. But still, it wasn't great.
Overall, I feel like the show doesn't know what to do after Crisis. They had a good plan until Crisis happened but then, it looks like they run out of ideas. I mean, this story can turn out great but, so far, it just looks like a mess. And that was exactly what this episode was.
This episode had, mainly, three stories which, in my opinion, are already too many. The worst thing is that they all somehow intertwine but we still don't get it. Maybe that's what they wanted to do, but I'm not liking it as of right now.
One of the story-lines in the episode is particularly confusing. There's something happening in Central City, something that Joe is looking into and asks Barry for help. Once again, it looks like the producers don't know what to do with Barry and, because the show is names The Flash, they just keep him around... For nothing really. In the end, it looks like this story connects with the overall plot, but again, I don't get it.
Then, there's the Iris in the mirror story-line. Even if not that great, it was somehow interesting. We met the woman behind the mirror and... It was fine, I guess. The thing is, I do not care about what happens to Iris so... Once again, it just pointless and boring, in my opinion.
But let's end on a better note and talk about the third story in the episode - Ralph and Sue!
Yes, I'm a bit biased because it's Ralph and I missed him but it was so cool to finally meet Sue. We knew this was going to happen and so finally seeing Ralph's love interest appear on the show, it was interesting. I was a bit on defense because I love Ralph and I wanted to ship him with her and... I guess I did, in the beginning of the episode. But then, she turned on him and she became a real b*tch. I predict she'll turn and become part of Team Flash but, as of right now, she's a bad girl and so I ended the episode not particularly liking her. I just want a good girl for Ralph, okay?
And well, I guess this are my thoughts on the latest episode of The Flash.
As I said, not a good episode but for sure better than the last two. I just feel like they are just lost on what to do with the show. I sure hope it gets better and I have faith. There's at least still some interesting stories so... Which reminds me that I forgot to mention that there was something about Nash and him seeing Harry... That is something that I'm really curious about and looks genuinely interesting. I hope we get more of that in future episodes.
Okay, I guess that's it now. Let me know what you thought of the episode and which was your favorite story-line and I'll see you in two weeks time. Yes, unfortunately, there won't be any rants for a week because I'm going on holidays. Which means, there's going to be so many posts in the beginning of March so be on the look for those. I'll see you then!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 11 - "Love Is A Battlefield"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
I'm back with a new The Flash rant and... Same old, same old.
That's right, this week's episode of The Flash was another disappointment. I would go as far as saying that this episode was worse than the previous one. I don't know what the producers are thinking but having Iris in the center of the story is not doing for me. Okay, I know I'm a bit biased because I'm not a fan of her character but still... The show is named The Flash for a reason, and Barry is the center of the show and they're sidelining him and it's not working.
And if that wasn't enough, they bring back an old bad guy (or should I say girl) - Amunet. Don't get me wrong, she's fun and all, but I'm so tired of the same plots and the same villains... They really lost it's track with this whole Crisis thing. I would much rather have Barry vanish in Crisis and just see the Team dealing with that. I think that would be so much more interesting and, of course, having Barry back after a few episodes. That would be really predictable, I know, but it would be so much more interesting that this 'nothing' plot.
I'm not even going to touch on the Amunet story-line because it's just pointless. It was just a plot to have Iris run this plan and kind of show that she's not the real Iris (which we see by the end of the episode). I'm sensing that this 'not Iris' thing will get pretty old really soon but let's hope I'm wrong, because I don't want to see another of my favorite shows fail.
Luckily, there was a nice plot in this episode - Frost and Allegra.
Meanwhile those things where happening with Iris and Barry, Frost convinces Allegra to reconnect with her ex-boyfriend. That wasn't major, but it was a nice little thing. Also, they touched on the Nash being Allegra's father thing and, in the very end, Nash starts seeing a glimpse of Harry. I have no idea what that means, but I'm intrigued.
Overall I just feel like the show lost it's essence. Cisco left for a while, there's no Caitlin and only Frost, Ralph is nowhere to be seen, they put Iris as the 'leader' of the Team Flash and in the center of the show and Barry was barely Flash in this episode. I don't know, I'm just loosing faith. I don't want this to become Supergirl (which I stopped watching because it was getting really bad). As I said, I have hope and I'm going to keep praying that they find their way but I can't see that happening anytime soon.
Well, I'm pretty disappointed in the show, as you saw but I would love to know what are you thinking of this last episodes post-crisis. Do you feel the same way as I do or do you like having Iris be a main character in all this? Let me know everything and I'll see you soon in my next rant!

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 10 - "Marathon"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everybody!
I know, I know... Late as always with these rants. I'm just going to get pass that and dive right into the new The Flash episode.
Unfortunately, the come back of The Flash after Crisis wasn't the best. Heck, I would go as far as to say that this was the worst episode of the season. I was pretty excited because Diggle was going to be in this episode and I love to still see some Arrow characters even though the show is over. But, like I said, unfortunately, the main focus of this episode was not the Diggle/Barry story-line. Instead, it was a story-line that was in one of the previous episodes, about Iris and the Citizen girls investigating something and... That just was really boring.
The girls went after an organization called 'Black Hole' which, in theory, looked like good villains for the rest of the season, but they weren't. We still don't know the overall picture. I mean, from what I've noticed, this is going to be the story for the remaining of the season and, needless to say, I'm not happy about it. Also, I don't know if it's just me but maybe Iris just isn't as interesting as Barry?! I mean, I never really liked Iris, to be honest, but this investigation was lead by her and Barry had nothing to do it and maybe that was the main problem.
I don't even know if I should get into much detail because I just don't care about that story. Also, it's the same deal over and over again... They hunt someone, people start dying, they realize they're going after the wrong someone and they 'find' the bad guy in the end. Although, in the very end of the episode Iris finds a 'magic mirror' or something, which is connected to the wife of the main guy that leads the Black Hole. And the thing is, his wife was supposed to be dead but something grabs Iris and pulls her into the mirror. That was genuinely creep, but not enough to make me like this episode.
The other story of the episode, although better, still wasn't enough to make me like this episode.
Yes, Diggle came to Central City to give Barry Oliver's mask, which was in Oliver's will, and pretty soon Barry starts thinking that this is Oliver's way to send him a message. With that, Barry and Diggle go to Lian Yu, in search for Mirakuru, afraid that, after Oliver merged the worlds, something happened and there was still Mirakuru there. But, then they arrive, they don't find any Mirakuru and Diggle realizes that maybe Oliver was just trying to tell Barry to live his life and protect the ones he loves. To be honest, I still think there's something in Lian Yu, but okay... I was happy to have Diggle in the episode and loved the interactions between him and Barry - they made me think of Barry and Oliver, which you know is my favorite bromance.
And well, besides that, the only major thing that happened in the episode is that Cisco leaves to collect his thoughts and just get back to his old self. I don't really know what this means for the rest of the season. Will we ever see Cisco again? I don't know... But I guess that's basically it.
Not my favorite episode and I don't have my hopes up for the rest of the season, unfortunately.
Let me know what you thought and I'll see you soon with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 10 - "Fadeout"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everybody!
Yes, the time has come. We have to say goodbye to Arrow. I took some time with this post, not because I was dealing with the end of the show, but because I had other stuff going on because, the truth is, I'm pretty happy with how the series ended. The episode did not have a story-line, that is the truth, but it's fine because we got the happy ending that we wanted (at least, I did) and really, overall, it was just an homage to the whole show and I loved that.
I also filmed my reaction to the episode and the video is up on my channel (youtube.com/danixinhahhh) so, feel free to check it out.
This last episode of the show really was a memory lane of all that makes the series great, starting with flashbacks. I'm not sure if there were new flashbacks or if we has seen them before (I'm pretty sure we did) but we saw something from when Oliver was only working with Diggle and going after the names on his father's list. That thing ties with the present, when one of those guys that Oliver killed, now, in this new universe, is alive and ends up kidnapping young William, who ends up being saved by older Mia who is invited to Oliver's funeral by Sara. And that is the main focus of the whole episode - Oliver's Funeral.
The Funeral sparks a lot of comebacks and, since Oliver rebooted the Universe, basically all the characters are alive - Tommy, Quentin, Moira... Among with those cameos, at Oliver's Funeral were also Nyssa, Talia, Rory (Ragman) and, of course, the ones that have been in Oliver's life recently - Diggle, Lyla, Dinah, Laurel (Earth-2 Laurel), Rene, Thea, Roy and, of course, Felicity.
But speaking of Thea and Roy, probably my favorite part of the episode, was that Roy proposed to Thea and she said yes! I was so happy with that! Really! It never crossed my mind (I was way too focused on Olicity) but I loved that moment and I'm so happy for them!
Back to the Funeral, I forgot to mention that Barry and Kara also attended the Funeral, which was really sweet. I mean, I don't care much about Kara, but Barry had to me there! Barry and Oliver are probably my favorite bromance and Barry was there when Oliver died so he had to be at the Funeral. Also, I loved when Felicity said that she knew that Barry did everything he could because she knows him. That was so sweet! And, of course, we have to talk about Felicity!
You all know that Felicity is my favorite character on the show and this finale wouldn't be the same without her, mainly, because of that very last scene!
In the very end, we see a flashback from last season, when Felicity goes with The Monitor to where Oliver was and, in this episode, we see where she went. They basically say it's the Afterlife, which probably means they are both dead, but they also mention that Oliver kind of still is the Spectre, which might mean that he's looking after all the other characters and I like to think that way and I like to think that Oliver and Felicity are living happily, wherever they are. And that is basically how the series ends. Olicity together! That was as close to an happy ending as we could get so I'm really happy with that!
But, before I end this post, I just wanted to touch on some other things that they mentioned about the other characters. 1) Rene is still running for Mayor (as we saw in the flash-forwards) 2) Dinah leaves Star City and that's probably how the events of the last episode end up happening and 3) the thing that we've been waiting for - Diggle as Green Lantern! Okay, it doesn't exactly happen but, as he's leaving with Lyla and the kids to Metropolis, he sees a meteor crash and finds a box containing an object emitting a green light, which can only mean one thing - Green Lantern. Also, he's moving to Metropolis and the Superman and Lois TV show is going to happen so... Is Diggle going to be on that?! I sure hope so because I want to see him as Green Lantern.
But yeah, I guess that's it for Arrow.
I'm really sad that one of my favorite series (another one, actually) has ended (and Supernatural is the next one) but I liked this ending and, unlike TVD, this was an happy ending so... I'm happy.
Let me know what you thought of Arrow's season finale. Did you like the ending? Or you didn't care about Olicity? Tell me everything and I'll see you (pretty soon) with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Legends of Tomorrow | Season 5 Episode 1 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Five"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!
So, here we are. Crisis finale! Well, I'm not going to waste any time and I'm just going to say it - I'm disappointed.
That's right folks, this crossover was not what I was expecting. Was it good? Yes. Was it as epic as they were promising? Not really.
The thing about Crisis on Infinite Earths was the stakes. The battle in the comics is huge, with Barry and Kara dying. Obviously we knew those two weren't going to die. Instead, Oliver would take their places, which happened... But that was it. I feel like I can speak for everyone when I say that we were expecting a ton of characters to die (a lot from Legends, in my opinion) but, in the end, Oliver was the only one to die, which was such an awful and disrespectful death. I don't know, I just know that this was not what they promised.
And now you say - What about all the 'cameos' and Easter Eggs? Well, those were great, don't get me wrong, but they were just that - a few cameos that made the crossover special, but they didn't add to the 'epicness' that I was expecting, mainly from this last episode. I saw someone say on twitter this and I totally agree - They focused way too much on the cameos and on the crossover being a 'fan service' that they forgot about the story and to play homage to our characters. And what makes everything worse is that there wasn't enough characters in this final battle, let alone Legends characters, which was what I was expecting, after all, this was a Legends episode.
However, the beginning was nice. The beginning of the episode gave us the feel of a Legends episode, with the fun, the jokes and, obviously, with Bebo. Yes, Bebo was back for this crossover and he was the last good thing in this. As soon as they 'killed' Bebo, it just went downhill. Yes, Black Lightning appeared again but it was so short. And again, where were Cisco, Iris, Ralph, Nora, Constantine... There were so many characters left out of this episode and I just wanted to see an epic final battle with a ton of superheroes and with a few more deaths.
In the end, I feel like this crossover was made just to get all our heroes in one Earth (now Earth-Prime) but then they messed that up too, when they showed that there's other Earths after all. From what I know, Crisis happens and then there's just one Earth left and... That didn't happen. Again, as I saw on Twitter, they just forgot about Doom Patrol, and Titans, and Swamp Thing and they couldn't mess that up (which they did anyway) so they had to 'keep' the other Earths.
Anyway, in the end, this crossover was just an huge disappointment for me. I saw people saying that this was the best one and, personally, I think this was the worst one. Even the last one was a lot more fun with Oliver and Barry switching. That was so much fun! And I kind of miss when they had smaller crossovers, like the first one with Oliver and Barry - my favorite duo.
Well, I'm going to end my rant here. Let me know what you thought of this crossover. Are you with the majority that loved it or are you with me? Tell me everything and I'll see you soon with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 8 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Four"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people! Happy New Year!
Yes, I'm back for a new year of reviews and we're starting of with a bang! (or not).
That's right, my first review is the ending of Crisis. This post will be dedicated to the Arrow episode and after this one I'll post the Legends one (even though they aired right after each other).
I'm going to start right away with saying that this wasn't exactly what I was expecting (although, this part was better than the last one, but I'll get into that in the next post). I liked the beginning of the episode. I liked how they showed that some time has passed and, for a moment, I really thought that Barry had vanished, like it was supposed to, but then he came back and that's also when Oliver, as Spectre, shows up and tells them the plan. I'm not going to get into it because, not only is really confusing, but not even myself understood it 100% so I'm just gonna say that they had to travel through the speed-force to where it all started and, of course, something had to go wrong. While in the speed-force, they are attacked by the Anti-Monitor and they get lost and it's up to Barry to find them. That's when the best thin about this episode happens - Ezra Miller! That's right, Ezra's Flash from the DCEU appears and our Barry and Ezra's Barry interact and, even though I'm not a big fan of Ezra, I was really fangirling at the fact that they were able to, not only do this, but keep this a secret! For sure, the best about this episode.
After that, Barry go get each of the Paragons and they all meet in the Anti-Monitor's world where, initially they fight more 'dementors' and then there's a fight between Oliver aka Spectre and the Anti-Monitor. And just like that, Oliver dies again. This time, for real.
This is a bit of a spoiler for the next post but needless to say that I was hopeful throughout the whole part five. There was just no way Oliver died, again, just like that. Yes, he was with Barry and Sara, but what about Diggle?! I mean, I really didn't like how Oliver died (again) and I'm still going to be waiting for him to make an appearance in the last episode of the show.
Well, in the end, they all see a new 'world' being formed and... That's how this part ends.
I have a ton more thoughts on the finale of the crossover so I'm not going to waste your time. Overall, this episode was fun, mainly because of Barry, but it felt a lot more like a The Flash episode than an Arrow one. And truth be told, I'm kind of afraid for the end of Arrow, but we'll see.
That's it for now and I'll see you in a few minutes with the final part of Crisis!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Part Three of the crossover is here and I have quite a few opinions so, let's get into it.
After really thinking about everything that has happened in the last three episodes, I've came to the conclusion that, so far, this crossover isn't as good as I wanted it to be. By the way, this review will not only have thoughts on this particular episode, but the Crisis overall, from what we've seen so far. That's right, I'm a bit disappointed with what we have seen until now. I was supper stoked about getting all my favorite heroes interaction with each other that I forgot that might be a problem. And what I felt was that they had to include so many heroes and so many Easter eggs that the magic of a crossover, and the overall plot, was lost. Truth be told, I don't even think that had put that much effort into the story as they have in the small details. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving all the little things (you know how excited I was with that two seconds Titans cameo) but I wanted more and, so for, I'm not getting it. There were a few great moments in this episode tho, so let's get into those.
Black Lightning was finally incorporated into the Arrowverse and that was definitely a good thing. So glad they did that. I'm not even the biggest fan of Black Lightning as a show, I mean, I watch it, and I like it, but I still prefer Arrow, The Flash and Legends, but seeing him among all my favorite heroes sure made me appreciate Black Lightning a lot more and I love his interaction with Barry. Who would have thought that they have so much in common? I really like that heartfelt conversation that they had and sure one of the highlights not only of the episode, but the whole crossover.
They also introduced a whole new character in this - Ryan Choi - who is played by Osric aka Kevin in Supernatural. Of course I liked this even though I'm still confused on why he's here and why is he a Paragon (that whole thing with Paragons is a whole other story, and I'll get into that in a minute).
But, for sure, the best part of this episode, with no doubt, was Lucifer! Yes, Tom Ellis made a cameo as Lucifer and I loved it! And I don't even watch Lucifer (yet, I've been planning to). I just loved his interaction with Constantine and, truth be told, it was just so surprising! A bit like the Titans cameo!
And speaking of Lucifer, Constantine, Diggle and Mia went to Lucifer for help to find Oliver's soul and getting a way into Purgatory which is, none other than Lian Yu. Of course, it had to be! And, although I loved this, mainly because they did get Oliver back, I have so many issues with this plot. I mean, the Purgatory and everything makes sense but then, as soon as they find Oliver, he doesn't recognize Diggle nor Mia and it only takes Diggle saying 'It's me Oliver, Diggle!' and, just like that, he remembers?! I mean, I get it, they had to get to the point but c'mon! It was such a sloppy writing! But it doesn't end there. As soon as they find Oliver's soul, Spectre appears and says that Oliver has to be the new Spectre and... Oliver just says Okay?! Once again, I get it, they have to get to the point, but it was way too quickly and I didn't like that. I liked that Oliver is back though and, for that, I can't be too mad.
What made me kind of made was something else. Or a few something elses.
First, they just find the remaining three Paragons in the beginning of  the episode - Barry, Paragon of Love, J'onn, Paragon of Honor, and Ryan Choi, Paragon of Humanity. The way they found that kind of annoyed me but what annoyed me the most was who were the Paragons. I mean, I should have seen that Barry was one of them, but they could come up with something different. Plus, they could make Black Lightning one of them and it would make a lot more sense to why they brought him instead of what they came up with, but I guess that's just me.
Something else that I was expecting but still, I didn't like, was the way around Barry vanishing that they found. The article said The Flash varnishes, but they didn't say which Flash. Yes, that's what they came up with and, instead of Barry vanishing, it was Flash from Earth-90, played by John-Wesley Shipp that vanished. It was a cute moment though, with some actual footage from the 90s The Flash show, but I guess that was it. And since I didn't watch that show, I didn't feel what most people felt.
Then, there were this whole West-Allen moments that you know how I feel about them. I just don't ship them and I don't even think the actor ship them because the chemistry between them, specially in this episode, was zero.
And yeah, in the end, the Anti-Monitor while working through Lyla, kills the Monitor and destroys the last Earth, Earth-1, and everyone in them. Luckily, Pariah sends the seven Paragons to the Vanishing Point, where there is no time and space, and it's in that moment that they learn that Lex Luther used the Book of Destiny to replace Earth-96 Superman with himself. And that's it.
My bet is that this is going to be a Infinity War/Endgame scenario, where this was the lead up and now the last two episodes are going to be the final battle where actually all the heroes are going to be present. I also think that it's in those two episodes that some major deaths are going to take place because, so far, the only people dead are not important characters and there has to be some repercussion.
Overall, it isn't the best crossover but it isn't finished yet so I'm hopeful (as always). Heck, at least, Oliver is not dead, and that does for me. Oh, and I forgot to mention, there were not enough Barry and Oliver interactions this crossover and they are one of the main reasons why I love crossovers so I guess that's why I'm not loving this one.
Anyway, let me know your overall thoughts of the Crisis so far. Are you happy? Are you disappointed? Tell me everything and the Crisis is only back in January but I'll talk to you tomorrow with a new The Challenge rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Supergirl | Season 5 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys.
The Crisis is here and, to be honest, I don't know how to deal with it.
This was only the first episode and this crisis is already a nightmare. For numerous reasons, really, but let's start with the good stuff.
You might be confused with that banner, since this is the Supergirl episode and the banner says Gotham. Well, the crossover starts with an introduction to what is happening with this crisis while showing a bunch of Earths getting wiped out. That was basically the only really good moment this episode - the beginning. I got so pumped when they showed a glimpse of Titans! In case you don't know, I also watch pretty much all of the DC shows on the DC Universe streaming, Titans being one of them, and I heard rumors that Titans were going to be in the crossover. Well, this isn't really what I wanted but, to be honest, it was enough to get me excited and to leave me happy. If this is the only Titans thing we get in the crossover, I'm fine with it but, of course, I would love to see more of them in it. But my excitement ended there.
This being the Supergirl episode, of course they focused a lot more on the Supergirl characters and all the plot (basically) happened in Earth-38, where Supergirl is from. I mean, I was expecting that, but the thing is, I stopped watching Supergirl like 2 seasons ago (in the Crisis on Earth-X episode. I did watch Elseworlds, but that was it) and so, I wasn't ware of what had been happening with her and, truth be told, nor I cared. I stopped watching the show because I didn't like it anymore (plus, Melissa just annoys me so, there's that) and I would rather have Black Lightning be part of the crossover, with it's proper episode (I know he's going to be in the crossover) than Supergirl but okay, I knew that going into it. But what made it worse was that Mia was also part of the crossover. I didn't know they were going to include the kids from the future (in Arrow) in the crossover and so having Kara and Mia in the same episode?! That was annoying af! And I should prepare myself because I'm sure there's going to be more of that. But yeah, back to the plot.
The Anti-matter is getting to every planet and so Brainy, a character that I didn't know at all, warned Kara and the others of it being directed to Argo (the place where Superman, Lois and their baby are, apparently) and she warns them to leave the planet. Unfortunately, they can only save their baby in a really cute nod to the way Clark was sent to Earth.
Meanwhile on Earth-1, Harbinger (aka Lyla) recruits Barry, Batwoman, Oliver, Mia, Sara Lance and Ray, to fight this crisis, and sends them to Earth-38 as well as rescues Superman and Lois from Argo and also sends them to help Kara save the people from her Earth.
There's so much that goes on into this but basically the Anti-Monitor is the one that is sending all this anti-matter to destroy the universe and, before working on a plan to defeat him, our heroes try to save as many people as they can from Earth-38, working alongside with the DEO and Lena (who, apparently, is not in good terms with Kara nor Alex. Don't ask me why).
After learning that Jonathan (Superman's baby) ended up in Earth-16, Lois, Sara and Brainy leave to get him while the other stay behind to fight the dark forces of the Anti-Monitor.
During all of this, there's a few moments that are kind of important, such as Oliver passing the mantle of Green Arrow to Mia (which I didn't like) and Oliver talking with Barry and learning that Barry is supposed to die as well, leading Oliver to go and argue with the Monitor about the deal that they made in the last crossover. The Monitor basically says that it's a different situation now and that's it.
Then follows the 'usual' fight scenes of our heroes against some shadow demons that, to be honest, looked like dementors from Harry Potter which, if Cisco was there, he would totally point that out and, deeming the battle as lost, the Monitor breaches our heroes off-world. But not before the unthinkable happens! Oliver is the last one to be 'breached' and he 'fights' the Monitor saying that there's still people to save, fighting until his last breath, literally.
The Monitor does breach Oliver to Earth-1 but just in time for him to say his goodbyes. And just like that, Oliver dies. In the first our of the crossover. I still can't believe it. I'm pretty much in denial like, it just can't be possible! I knew that Oliver was going to die eventually, even if I still believed he wouldn't but like that?! It was so anti-climatic and just not the death he deserved! In the first hour of the crossover? Alone? Not even Diggle was there? In the Supergirl episode? I mean, c'mon! I know everyone was expecting him to die in the last hour but at least kill him in the Arrow episode! What the f*ck is this? I don't know what to think. I'm sad, I'm in denial, I'm angry... I just won't believe he's really dead until the crossover is over. There's still 4 more episodes to go and anything can happen. Barry can go back in time, Gideon in the Wave-rider might still be able to help him, I don't know! Something has to happen! This won't be the end of Oliver, Stephen Amell is still credited in the next episodes of the crossover (at least) but it won't be the same if it's just flashbacks or Oliver from another Earth. It has to be our Oliver.
Anyway, the episode then ends with Nash Wells, now a "pariah"saying that he released the Anti-Monitor and that everything is doomed.
Well, needless to say that I can't wait to watch Part 2 because I just need to know more about Oliver and I just want him back already! Also, next episode is the Batwoman episode and that show I'm watching so it's going to be a lot better! However, I won't be able to live tweet because I watch the show with my sister and she can't watch it live with me so, I'm going to have to wait and watch it later. Hopefully I won't see many spoilers.
Please, let me know what you thought of this first part and tell me you have some theories on how Oliver might come back because I seriously need those! And I'll see you tomorrow with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 7 - "Purgatory"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Welcome to, basically, the last episode of Arrow.
Okay, it's not really the last one but, if you think about it, the next episode is Crisis, and after that is the Pilot for the spin-off about the Canaries and then that is the actual last episode. But the truth is, that last episode might not even have Oliver and I'm not prepared for that. And the overall plot of this episode, and the way it ended, was pretty much a goodbye and that already made me so emotional... I'm seriously not ready for that. So, let's not think about it and focus on this episode (which is already emotional enough).
This whole episode is a comeback to Season 1 and, although that wasn't my favorite season, it was so good to remember how everything start. It was a really good trip down memory lane (as was this whole season, really). So, our heroes wake up in Lian Yu, where Lyla tells them that William has to create a weapon for the Monitor while the plutonium is being transported by Dinah, Rene and Roy to the island.
Right there things start going wrong. Dinah, Rene and Roy are hit by a missile and they all crash in the island, with all of them in one side of the island and the plutonium in the other side of the island. And so, that's when Oliver and the rest of them decide to split up - Oliver and Laurel go get the plutonium while Diggle, Lyla and Connor go get the others, with Mia and William staying in the bunker so William can keep working on that weapon.
Oliver and Laurel do get the plutonium, but they are confronted by Edward Fyers and Billy Wintergreen - former enemies of Oliver. A fight takes place but Edward and Billy escape. Oliver can't just let them go so he tells Laurel to take the plutonium to William, since they have no time to waste, while Oliver goes look for his enemies to take care of them once and for all. That's when he encounters a familiar face - Yao Fei - who joins Oliver on the look for his former enemies. Unfortunately, pretty soon after that, they are caught on a net.
Meanwhile, Diggle's team find a pinned down Roy, whose right arm is pinned. With nothing else to do, they just amputate Roy's arm and everyone gets back to the bunker.
There, the teams reunite and William proceeds to build the weapon, which requires Lyla's DNA. Once she touches it, the Monitor calls out for her and she enters a portal.
After that, a bunch of goodbyes are exchanging, and that was the part of the episode that got me. Mainly the William and Oliver scene. I know most people liked the Mia and Oliver one, but you all know that I don't care for her so the William and Oliver one did it for me. That one made me really emotional and by the end of the episode I was already crying - when Lyla arrives in her new alias as Harbinger to inform them that the Crisis has begun. And then, they showed the same scene they showed in the end of The Flash - the Nash one.
I'm going to say the same that I said on the The Flash rant - I'm super excited about Crisis, but I'm so not ready. I'm not ready to have Arrow end and to see Oliver (and possibly Barry) die. I still have hope that he won't die. I might be in denial but, until it really happens, I'm going to keep on believing.
Please, tell me what you think. Do you really believe Oliver is going to die by the end of the series? What do you think is going to happen? Tell me everything and I'll see you in my next rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 8 - "The Last Temptation of Barry Allen, Pt. 2"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Here we are with a brand new week of rants! Unfortunately, I'm not starting on the best note.
You know I love The Flash and they have been having such a great season but... This last couple of episodes weren't that great, specially this one. I don't know what it was, but it felt like they're just trying to fill in the time to get to the Crisis. At the same time, I feel like they wrapped the Rosso/Bloodwork thing way too quickly. I seriously didn't get it. Personally, I think it would be best if they kept Bloodwork as the villain for the rest of the season (doesn't matter if we have Barry back or not) but I guess they're planning on dealing with Barry's vanishing for the rest of the season (even though I don't think that's going to happen at all so... We'll see).
There's not much I can say about this episode, really. It was mostly Rosso attacking Central City and converting all the citizens into his "Blood Brothers and Sisters". And of course Team Flash had to do something.
Initially Iris and Cisco 'argue' on what they should do, since both have different plans. Iris tries her way to get Barry back to the good side but it doesn't work. Then, Cisco tries the light gun (or whatever it is called) but it doesn't work either. That's when Rosso basically let's them know his plan - taking the Particle Accelerator to spread his blood across all of Central City. As Rosso makes his way inside, Iris and Cisco think about what Barry said and realize that Barry saved them from Rosso and he's fighting inside his mind. That's when they understand Barry's plan.
Using a combination of Rosso's blood, the particle accelerator, and Allegra's powers, Team Flash subvert Rosso's plan and spread a cure to Central City.
After seeing is plan failing, Rosso turns into  a skull monster, which was quite fun for me. It was creepy and gross and I love horror so... I loved it! However, this didn't make much sense to me. So, everyone else in the city was cured but not Rosso? I might be missing something here but it didn't make sense to me.
Anyway, in the end, Barry is able to distract Rosso and capture him, later sending him to ARGUS.
The episode ends with the Team spending their last moments together before the Crisis, as wee see a red sky approaching. At the same time, at 7:58, Nash uncovers a wall of symbols before a blinding light pulls him in.
Even though this wasn't my favorite episode of The Flash, I'm still super stoked about Crisis. It's going to be as epic as Avengers: Endgame was! I cannot wait! I'm so damn afraid for the outcome though, but I'm also excited. Oh, and before I end this, where was Ralph in this episode? I mean, I know he was sent somewhere to be protected from Ramsey but... He should be back by the end of this episode... Does this mean that he isn't in the Crisis? Cause I'm going to be mad if that's the case. With so many superheroes there's no way they didn't have a spot for Ralph in the Crisis. I guess we'll see.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and which are your predictions for Crisis. Do you really think that Barry is going to die? Tell me everything and I'll see you soon with an Arrow rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 6 - "License to Elongate"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!
Yes, I was right, this episode was awesome!
As you might have guessed by the title, this episode is pretty much dedicated to Ralph (which, you know, I'm not mad about - at all). I've loved Ralph since the very beginning. Ever since everyone thought he was annoying and he didn't add much to the plot, I was here, supporting him, and it's so nice to see him being appreciated more, because this episode was pretty much just to get Barry to 'pass the torch' to Ralph and give him some recognition.
It does take some time to get to the point and so we follow Ralph, again, on his quest for Sue Dearbon (*wink*). Barry tags along with Ralph and I knew we were in for a ride. I love Ralph and Barry together and this was another great episode of them together. Although, this time, Barry wasn't is best. I get it, you needed to show that Ralph is also a good hero and a good detective but c'mon! Barry couldn't be that bad. I mean, he's naive and everything but not to that point. I guess this was also to show that Barry is too often The Flash and that he needs to be Barry Allen more.
I'm not going to get into details here (you've seen the episode, I'm sure) but, of course, they get caught, they are able to get themselves free and go after the 'bad guys' and that last fight scene might have been one of my favorite (if not my actual favorite) of the series. I just wasn't expecting the Muse soundtrack and it fit perfectly in the scene. It also helps that I'm a Muse fan and I love that song. But seriously, it was a really cool scene!
But because this episode couldn't be all about Ralph and Barry, meanwhile they're in their adventure, we see Nash asking Allegra for help, requiring her UV emitting ability to illuminate a wall filled with eternium in order to get to the Monitor. I guess I wasn't right with that. I thought that stone would help Barry live (it might still do that, who knows) but for now, Nash just wanted to get 'through' the wall (I guess. The whole thing is still a bit messy in my head). This not only is a way to make Allegra face her fears (of becoming her cousin) but also a way for her to know everything about Team Flash, since Nash ended up telling her all about doppelgangers, the multiverse and even Flash's real identity (aka Barry).
The last story-line of the episode was Cecile's, who helps Runk to get his life back now that his powers have stabilized. It was a pretty useless story-line, in my opinion, and it really didn't add anything to the plot.
The episode ends with Ralph being attacked by Rosso.
I have no idea where this is going. I'm sure Ralph is fine but something else is going to happen because we see Barry crying in the preview for next week. Still, that preview looked really confusing to me so I have no further predictions. If you have any make sure to let me know and I guess I'll see you guys in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 5 - "Kiss Kiss Breach Breach"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
Welcome back to a brand new week of rants!
Unfortunately we're not starting with the greatest note. Don't get me wrong, I liked this episode of The Flash, but comparing it to last week, it was a bit lackluster. Actually, it was like The Flash and Arrow switched places - Arrow this week as freaking amazing (which I'll get into in my next post) and The Flash was... Meh!
The thing is, I know exactly why I felt this way - there was no Barry this episode. This really pains me to say but Barry is the glue that connects this show and, without it, you clearly feel like something is missing. This episode focused a lot on Cisco and, as much as I love him, there's a reason why Barry is the star of this series and that showed this episode.
There were a few surprises in this episode though, such as the comeback of Breacher who comes with not so great news - Cynthia's (aka Gypsy's) death. Yeah, that was a really surprising and sad thing. So, as you can imagine, this episode revolves around Cisco because of that, and because he decides to help and find out the guy who killed her - Echo, an hacker that she was previously hunting.
They decide to throw us some curve balls when they reveal that Cisco was the one who killed her but, with a show like The Flash that deals with time travel and different Earth's you know something is up. And that was exactly what happened. Cisco doesn't believe that he did it in his sleep and so he goes looking for answers and finds out that Echo is a doppelganger of himself that did it on purpose so Cisco would take the blame. But OG Cisco is smarter than Echo an so, in the end, Echo is captured and Breacher apologizes to Cisco for not believing him.
Well, in the meantime, while this was happening, they also gave us a few side story-lines such as Ramsey offering Caitlin to join him which she says no, and Joe following Nash to that place where we saw the Monitor and getting trapped underground, just to be saved by Ralph later. The episode actually ends with Nash telling them that he has found a way to save Barry from his impending death (can't wait to see if my eternium theory is right).
That's it guys. It was a really lackluster episode. But, even though the next one only comes in two weeks, it looks like it's going to be a good one - Ralph and Barry timing up (my boys) and it's the episode directed by Danielle Panabaker so, I'm excited!
Let me know what you thought of the episode and if you agree with my eternium theory. If not, let me know your theories, let's discuss!
I'll see you in a bit with my Arrow rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 3 - "Dead Man Running"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
I know, finally, I'm here with The Flash's rant. It took way too long but you know what? You save the best for last and that's what happened! I mean, this wasn't necessarily the best episode out of the ones that I've seen this week, but it sure was a great episode!
This doesn't usually happens and so, for the first time, I wasn't bored one bit and enjoyed every single sub-plot of this episode. I feel like everything was major for the end goal, which is kind of the Crisis, and needless to say that I'm super stoked for that so... Everything surrounding Crises makes me extremely excited.
There was mainly three plots in this episode - Barry/Killer Frost, Ralph/Cecile and Cisco/Iris. And, before I actually start, I just wanted to mention that this are duos that don't happen that often and I loved it! Please, give me more of this duos.
Anyway so the first story-line that we follow, and the main one of the episode is Barry/Frost's plot. This one also gives us a more in depth knowledge about this season's villain (besides the Monitor, obviously). The episode actually starts with Rosso inadvertently turning Mitch Romero into a zombie, leading to him attacking his own crew looking for dark matter. This is was Barry and Killer Frost go investigate. This also gives Barry the chance to 'teach' Frost how to behave when Barry's no longer there, after the Crisis because yes, that's something else that is really important in this episode - Barry tells Team Flash about the Crisis but doesn't tell them about him dying and so he's trying to 'teach' them how to 'survive' without him. The episode focuses a lot on being truthful not only with this Barry story-line but also with the other two duos, which I will get to in a minute.
Anyway so Rosso comes into play again when Frost remembers him from Caitlin's memories. Frost suspects him right away but Rosso is smart enough to convince Barry that he can help them. Luckily, Barry wasn't that naive this time and he catches him stealing dark matter from STAR Labs. Rosso eventually 'kind of' tells the truth and Barry persuades him to still help with Mitch Romero. Romero ends up getting inside STAR Labs and that's when Rosso learns that he can control him (through the dark matter). Eventually Killer Frost and Barry kill Romero making him overdose on dark matter and making for a great scene on the flash - one that actually could be in an horror movie. Personally, I loved it!
Meanwhile, Cisco and Iris investigate a "Harrison Wells" sighting, and briefly encounter Harrison "Nash" Wells who they then learn is searching for something called "Eternium". First of all, finally Tom Cavanagh is back with a new Wells and second, I don't know about you but I feel like this "Eternium" is going to play a huge part on Crisis and that is what's going to prevent Barry from dying. I'm just throwing it out there right now and we'll see if I'm right.
Finally, the third story of the episode - Ralph's - was one that wasn't hugely important but you know me, I just love Ralph and I love anything to do with him so I loved getting to know more about him, bout his family and, this might sound morbid but, I loved seeing him being a bit more vulnerable and not the 'bubbly' that he is all the time. Also, not only this was also my Truth, but this might also hint at Ralph's love interest which, to be completely honest, I'm kind of afraid. You know, I love Ralph so much that I kind of feel like I 'own' him? It's weird but I want him to have a love interest but I'm so afraid that I won't like her so... I just hope it is played by an actress that I like so I'm more likely to like her.
And well, in the end, since this was heavily about truthfulness, Barry comes clean to the Team about him dying. At the same time, we see Rosso manipulating the substance Romero produced and use it in his cure, making him instantly wanting more.
I can see really good things coming out this season! I don't know if it majorly because of Crisis, since Arrow is being great too, but I'm just loving the story-lines and, as for The Flash, it's a different and interesting villain so... We'll see.
Let me know what you thought of the episode and I'm sorry I took way too long with it.
I'll see you guys next week with new rants!
Love,
Daniela.
