The Flash | Season 4 Episode 12 - "Honey, I Shrunk Team Flash"

Hello guys once again.

Like I promised you, here's a brand new The Flash rant!

This was a pretty special episode because it was my 'comeback' to watch live and live tweet during The Flash. Long story short, my Uni schedule didn't really let me be awake until 1am (which is when the episodes air here in Portugal) so I couldn't watch it live. But right now, it's exam season and I don't have any exams which means I'm basically on holidays, which also means I can watch my series live. Because of that, this episode was pretty special but, if I'm being totally honest with you, this wasn't my favourite episode this season. It sure had it's moments like the whole Cecile thing (which I'll get into in a minute) and the shrunking thing was also pretty funny. Oh, and the ending was quite something but, overall, this episode didn't got us through the main storyline, which is what I'm more 'concerned' about and worst, because of last weeks episode (don't get me wrong, I loved last weeks episode) I had almost forgotten about the whole DeVoe thing, which is not ideal. But yeah, let's get onto the main events of this episode.

The episode starts right away with one of my favourite things - Cecile having powers! Turns out she develops telepathic abilities as a result of her pregnancy, combined with dorman dark matter in her cells which, according to Caitlin, is something temporary, which is nice because, althought I loved the fact that she has powers and mainly this type of powers, I don't know how I would feels about her being a 'full meta', if you know what I mean so, I'm liking this storyline.

Moving on to the other really funny part of the episode, of course there had to be some type of meta messing with the city. This time is a guy named Sylbert Rundine, who has the ability to shrink and enlarge objects. Of course Team Flash goes and tries to stop him and, in doing so, Cisco and Ralph end up shrunken, which is the really funny part.

The not so funny part is the fact that, if they don't reenlarge within a certain period of time, they will go nuclear so, in order to prevent that from happening, Harry starts working in a way to reenlarge them. His plan goes terribly wrong and Ralph and Cisco end up with even less time to which they have to proceed to Plan B, which is tricking Rundine to reenlarge them. For a moment, I really thought this was going to end badly but Team Flash always gets the job done and, in the end, they are able to trick him and then arrest him. 

Meanwhile, in prison, Barry learns about the reason why Big Sir is in prison and also learns that he's actually innocent. And what are the odds that the guy that really killed the person that they thought Big Sir killed is the guy that Cisco and Team Flash is after? (Did this make sense?) Well, turns out Rundine is the one that really killed the man and not Big Sir and so, Team Flash tries to get a confession from Rundine but it didn't happen so, after knowing Big Sir's wish to one day return to a Chinese village and not being able to free him the 'right' way, Barry just uses his speed and takes Big Sir to that Chinese village.

Back in prison, that's when the biggest plot twist happens.

Turns out there was an hidden camera that got Barry, ending with his new warden finding about him being the Flash but not only that. He also sedates him and locks him somewhere else with the intention to sell him to Amunet, like what?! I wasn't expecting that at all! Plus, I just thought that girl was gone like seriously?! With everything that's happening that's the last thing they needed. Plus, the woman is just annoying af and I just want her gone, really!

Anyway, that's it for today's The Flash episode.

Not my favourite one but still good and with really funny storylines that only The Flash can do.

The Challenge: Vendettas | Season 31 Episode 5 - "Guilty by Association"

Hello everyone and welcome to a brand new week full of new reviews!

We're starting the week, as usual, with The Challenge. Unfortunatelly, this time, I don't have that many good things to say about this episode.

This might have been one of the worst The Challenge episodes. First of all, I just hate when they focus the episode on just one thing like, this time, the whole episode was about this elimination and that was the only think that happen and you know, I watch the show mainly for the actual challenges and then, second, the whole thing was just a mess and, overall, this was a poor episode. But, in all that happen there were a few things that I enjoyed, like the actual elimination challenge, which was one of the best in the last seasons. 

Maybe I shouldn't start with this but I'm just going to start with my whole 'review' on the elimination challenge which, like I said, was really good. I don't usually agree with what Jemmye says but I have to agree with her on this, this type of challenges is the reason why we (at least for me it is) watch the show - challenges (mostly eliminations) with like a really physical impact - this one was basically wrestling with a little bit of water and a ball involved - the focus is that it was like a really physical challenge and there was actually a 'fight' but an allowed one so it's really interesting to watch.

Rewinding a bit to the beginning of the episode...

Like I said, not much happened and the beginning was only some of them trying to make deals (which did not happen) and then the Inquisition happened and Tony, Zach and Marie chose Melissa, Kayleigh and Britini to then decide which to go to elimination against Sylvia. Britini was someone that everyone wanted and then Kayleigh and Melissa were the people that Sylvia said was comfortable to go against with so they went with both of them. Obviously none of them were happy, mostly Britini who was basically who everyone wanted/thought was going to be the real chosen one to go against Sylvia. Luckily for Britini, Melissa had some fights with Kam and then everything changed.

To be honest, I didn't even understand that fight between Melissa and Kam like, it was all because of Melissa's reputation?! Seriously, I don't understand and, to be honest, I don't care. I don't really care about none of them. Anyway, in the end, the Troika chose Melissa to go against Sylvia, because of everything that happened, which was the easiest choice. The trusth is, in a way, I was rooting for Melissa just because everyone was against her and I really didn't see what she did wrong. Maybe she was flirting too much but... What's wrong with that? Anyway, I'm not going to talk more about that and I'm just going to say that, in the end, Sylvia won, which was also fine for me because what Joss and Brad did to her wasn't right. 

Because she won, she also got a grenade and her grenades were Cash, Endure, which was someone chosen by her had to do an endurance challenge before the actual challenge, or Order Up, which she choses the order for the challenge. To be honest, I think she's going to choose the Endure and do it to Brad because of what he did to her, at least, that's what I would do.

Anyway, that's it for todays' rant of The Challenge.

Overall, it wasn't a nice episode. I just hope next one is better. It looks like it's going to be because drama is going to happen with Bananas so, thats already interesting but, let's see.

Supernatural | Season 13 Episode 11 - "Breakdown"

Hello and here's the new Supernatural rant!

Just like on Arrow, this week's episode of Supernatural was so damn good! In a way, so different from we've seen and, besides that, Donna was also in this episode, which is always nice. That's right that we didn't have any Cass or Jack in this episode, which is the only 'bad' thing in the episode but I think everything else makes up for it. Still, hopefully, in the next episode, they'll mention them and we'll get on with the major storyline.

Anyway, like I was saying, this episode was a lot different from we've seen before because, for once, Sam and Dean worked on case that, initially, didn't have anything to do with monsters. Plus, Sam was the grumpy one this time, which is new.

The episode starts with Donna's niece Wendy being kidnapped, to which she obviously calls the boys for help, even thought, like I said before, this wasn't really anything to do with monsters. I liked the fact that Dean was the one to say yes right away because, once again, this is the type of thing that would come from Sam and this time was different.

They go to Nebraska and, besides meeting with Donna, they also meet with Doug, which was also nice to see back, as well as a surprise because him and Donna were still together, which is also pretty cute, to be honest. And, alongside with Donna and Doug they also meet with Agent Clegg of the FBI.

They study on the case and Agent Clegg let everyone know what he has already found - that the villain is someone called 'the Butterfly' and that he has operating in the area for the past twelve years.

With the help of a trucker, Dean is able to identify a gas station clerk, Marlon, as a participant in the abduction. Marlon then tells them that the kidnapped victims are butchered and their parts are sold online. They see the live video and, at first, everything thinks that those are some twisted humans but they soon realize that this people are monsters. It wouldn't be a Supernatural episode without some monsters, right?! But it doesn't end there. Of course more stuff had to happen. Soon after that, not only Doug found out about monsters and stuff, but also Marlon was revealed to be a vampire and of course, he had to make some damage and fed Doug some of his blood, turning him a Vampire. Luckily, Dean (instead of Sam, once again) remembered how to make that 'antidote' to turn him back to human so, it was all fine... on that, because it didn't end there either. Right about the same time as all this was happening, Clegg is revealed to be the Butterfly and he then kidnaps Sam in order to sell of his parts online. 

In the very end, Donna is able to kill Clegg's accomplice while Dean kills Clegg just in time to save Sam's life. This last part didn't really worry me because they always get out of stuff like this but still, it would be interesting to kill him and see how they would bring him back but, it didn't happen this time. 

After all this Doug is terrified by all this monsters thing and so breaks up with Donna, which was pretty sad. And yeah, Sam then has like a pretty sad talk on that anyone that gets close to them (the brothers) will suffer a terrible end and the episode ends there.

The preview for next week's episode looks fun, being about witches and love spells and all so let's see. I just hope they talk about Cass and Jack and just realize that something is wrong with Cass because it doesn't really look like Dean to go all this time without knowing anything about Cass so... Let's hope they start searching for him.

Overall, I loved this episode - like Supernatural meets Criminal Minds - so cool!

Arrow | Season 6 Episode 11 - "We Fall"

Hello everyone! Here's the first rant of the day - Arrow!

I feel like I need to start by saying that this episode was so much better than the previous one and, actually, I think this might have been one of the best episodes this season so far. This haven't really been my favourite Arrow season but I must say that this episode was pretty good and, hopefully, the episodes will get better and better from now on.

Overall, this episode was an episode really focused on family (like the whole theme of this season) but mostly focused on Oliver's family/relationships, with Felicity and with William being the top ones, and starting of the episode right with a bonding scene between Oliver and William, which was pretty cute. Also, in that scene, there was a lot of other things that I really enjoyed, like Oliver's little 'pun' when he tells William to pick his The Flash backpack and go to school, that was really funny to me. And then, after that, the really cute moment between Oliver and Felicity. Sometimes, I even forget that they are actually married, maybe that's because they don't show it that often but in this scene they showed it very well and I just can't believe the writers kept them apart for a whole season when it's clear that they should, they need to be together.

Moving on, we see like that major event of this episode, which is Cayden James twisted plan to basically kill everyone in Star City by hacking into the eletronic devices and just mess with them and seriously, kill random people, and everything just for revenge of his son. Seriously, this storyline is almost as bad as Darhk's storyline. I don't get why Cayden James is doing what he's doing nor I understand what is his end game because this whole thing doesn't make any sense! Like Oliver said in the episode, if he wants revenge, why just don't expose him as the Green Arrow?! I mean, he said that he already did that but... I don't know man! All I know is that I've seen a theory on twitter about who's Cayden James' son and I totally support that theory - that it's Billy Malone! Cayden said that Oliver killed him 'by accident' while he was 'fighting' someone else and he killed Billy thinking that it was Adrian Chase so... Maybe it's him?! Also, they then said that Cayden must have got some bad intel because the timings of things doesn't match and stuff but, to be honest, I think that they just don't remember or something because they kept saying that Oliver hasn't killed anyone lately so, they must have forgotton.

Anyway, while all this is happening, some stuff is also going on with the New Team Arrow. Turns out Vigilante talked to them and said that he's infiltrated in the Cayden James group and that he also wants to take him down and then gives them some intel to stop part of Cayden's plan. At first, they didn't trust him but the intel checked out so they then got another intel and shared it with OTA. This whole episode was like 'we aren't together but we are working together' some type of thing. They weren't 'working' together but they were sharing intel and in the very end they fought together so... I think they are going to be all together in no time, just watch out.

And, one last thing before I end this rant... I need to talk about that scene between Felicity and William because that was an hell of a scene! So good! The way they did it, Felicity telling William why what Oliver is doing is important and so on while, at the same time, Oliver and the others were fighting, it was amazing! And not just that, but the actual conversation was really moving and the part where Felicity said that she loved Oliver since he brought her a laptop with a bullet?! That was just amazing and so cute and yeah, in the end, William understood and 'it's all good now'. At least, between William and Oliver.

And yeah, just a little side note, that William scene saving his whole class, was pretty badass as well. Really liked it!

Okay, I think that's everything for this rant!

Overall, this was a great episode and I seriously hope this gets better, mainly with the whole Cayden James storyline because, until now, it has been hella boring and just confusing.

The Flash | Season 4 Episode 11 - "The Elongated Knight Rises"

Hello everyone and here I am with the brand new The Flash rant!

Well, it looks like this week is off in a good start with not only a funny episode from The Challenge but also a really funny episode from The Flash!

This episode wasn't necessarily tied to the whole storyline of this season (I mean, it was but it was also kind of a side story). We knew that this was going to happen eventually and after seeing the title of this episode I knew straight away what this episode was going to be about - and I was right. I didn't expect it to be this funny, but it was, overall, an episode about Ralph becoming really  a superhero and be part of the team like 100%. This was what I thought would be Julian's character, in a way. Not the whole funny thing and 'being a superhero' but like be part of the team 100% but for some reason they 'got rid' of Tom Felton (which I still don't know the reason for) and basically Ralph is replacing him. Also, this storyline makes sense now because, although we have Cisco and Killer Frost, they are part of the 'tech team' and they can't always be out there to catch the bad guys and now, with Barry in prison, we needed someone to take The Flash's place and that's exactly what Ralph is/is going to be. I totally love his character, I've been liking him since the start really so I just loved this episode and I love the fact that he's grown, without stopping to be funny and slightly childish, and helping the team.

So, the episode actually begins with Barry in prison in the middle of a riot and we see his struggle between wanting to help and at the same time not really being able to because they can't know that he's the flash. He eventually helps but yeah, just with the scene I could see his struggle.

After that, still following Barry's new life in prison, we see him the next day meeting with Axel, who we've seen in a previous season (I think) and who is later broken out of prison by his mum. 

Coming with a not so elaborate plan to get his father's attention, Axel challenges Ralph by threatening to cause chaos in the city. Ralph then gets to him and that was a pretty funny scene actually, probably my favourite the entire episode, ending in a not so funny way with Axel shootin some type of acid to Ralph and really injuring him.

Of course, after that, Team Flash starts thinking of a million things to stop Axel and, when it gets to the coment where they really have to go to him and 'fight', Ralph chickens out because he doesn't want to die. After that, we goes to the prison where Barry is to try and get him out of there and that's when Barry has a really deep conversation with Ralph about the fact that being an hero isn't about not being scared, but having the ability to rise above your fear, which gives Ralph some confidence and that's when he goes and helps Caitlin and Cisco who just got into a trap.

A pretty touching (in a way) moment is when Ralph attempts to shield both Cisco and Caitlin from an acid shower, even knowing that he's going to get hurt. In the end, Wells manages to hack into the shower system and Ralph doesn't get hurt at all but what matters is the thought and the meaning behing what he did, which was trully touching.

In the very end Iris visits Barry in prison, where they reaffirm their love for each other, meanwhile, at Jitters, Ralph and Cisco go get coffee and meet the excitable girl that was also and Barry's wedding. The girl then is seen writting in her journal with a really weird language/hand writting (which is pretty similar to the one that Barry was writtin when he came out of the speedforce). This ending was really confusing and I don't know how this ties with the whole DeVoe thing but let's see. Also, most people suspected that this girl was Barry and Iris' daughter from the future but now, I don't know... Let's see!

The Challenge: Vendettas | Season 31 Episode 4 - "Pizzagate"

Hello everyone!

We're back with a new week full of series starting with The Challenge.

As you can tell by the banner, this was a pretty interesting episode and, actually, quite funny. Not much happened, to be honest, at least, not anything major, but there's some little things that I need to comment on so, let's get onto it.

The episode started right where the previous one left off, with the Inquisition dinner. They didn't show us much more of that and basically moved on straight away to the elimination, where everyone in the Troika chose Alicia to go against Melissa. It was the safe choice, to be honest but, like I said in my previous The Challenge rant, I would choose Kam just because of the fact that she was so mad about being in the Inquisition but hey, that's just me. The elimination challenge itself was a pretty easy one, mainly based on speed and Melissa won really easily and yeah, bye bye Alicia. Then, something new happened. Okay, it was the grenade part of the challenge but, turns out, the 'categories' of the grenades aren't the same everytime so this time, for Melissa, the choices were Team Up, were she would be the one to choose the teams for the next main challenge, another one that I can't really remember the name of but that it was someone drink a liter of cream and the last one was Sit Up, were she would choose someone to stay out of the challenge and go straight away to elimination. I really thought she was going to choose the last one because before the elimination she said that she had to do something to send her vendetta, Kayleigh home but she ended up choosing the first one which, once again, was the easy choice. I get it, it's just the beginning but I still think it will only get interesting once someone 'big' gets it like Bananas or Cara Maria, who have the guts to take risks and have like major vendettas in the house. Until now, it has only been a warm up.

Anyway, moving on to the week challenge, like we saw in the preview last week, this was a food challenge and a pretty interesting one.This had a lot of rules so I'm not going to list them all but basically the first team get the answer right (because yeah, this was a trivia challenge) would choose another team to be safe and all the others had to choose someone from their teams to go and eat something chosen by the 'winning' team. Needless to say that Bananas team (which was with Cara Maria and Kayleigh) were the 'winning' team, saving Leroy's team (which was with Britini and Kyle) and choosing rotten cheese for the other team's chosen ones to eat. Let's just say that this was Tony's challenge (which was teamed with Zach and Marie). Tony was the only one to eat the whole rotten cheese under the time limit meaning that there was only three teams left. Banana's team got another answer right so then it was Leeroy against Tony (who went to eat again) eating marshmallows. Again, Tony won and then it was only two teams left, so it was Tony against Cara Maria eating mayonnaise and yes, Tony won, meaning that Tony's team is the Troika this week. Oh, I forgot to mention that this was a no gender elimination so it could be anyone. Then, because there was no loosing team, Tony's team, because they won, had to choose a loosing team and then, from that team, between them, they would choose the person to go in. They chose Sylvia's team, with Joss and Brad and in the end, Joss and Brad voted for Sylvia to go in and this turned out to be a female elimination so the Troika will have to choose three girls in the Inquisition.

Althought I'm not Sylvia's biggest fan, I have to say that this was so unfair to her because she was the one, in the first round, to go and eat that rotten cheese, because the other ones were too scared to go so she just went. Now, they should've men up and just choose between them (Joss or Brad) but yeah...

The episode basically ended like that, only with a few more scenes of Sylvia saying that she was sick and everything and with Kailah saying that the best person to go against would be Britini, which I agree. I basically don't like any girls in that house so I'm fine with anyone going in so, let's see what happens.

Supernatural | Season 13 Episode 10 - "Wayward Sisters"

Hello everyone and here is the last rant of the week.

Unlike Arrow, and pretty much like The Flash, this was a great comeback episode! Well, not exactly like The Flash because this one had a much happier ending, which is always nice!

In case you don't know it yet, this was the Pilot for the (hopefully) new coming show - Wayward Sisters - which is based on the Supernatural's female characters and we love and adore so much - Claire, Jody, Donna, Alex, Patience and Kaia so, from that, you have an idea that this was pretty much centered on them and, in a way, kind of an introduction to the characters for the people that don't really know them but are going to strat watch the spin-off. The show wasn't been picked up yet but it hopefully will and I just can see, from this episode, that it's going to be bomb.

Anyway, apart from that I said, this episode is pretty much the girls trying to save Sam and Dean that are trapped in another universe called 'The Bad Place'. To be honest, in the last episode ended, I had no idea how they were going to get out of there but the storyline of this episode was really great and really clever. So, as I was saying, the episode starts with Claire (which is basically the main character throughout this whole episode) who his on an hunting trip and gets a call from Jody saying that the Brothers need help. She goes back home straigh away and, alongside with Alex, Jody and Claire try to find the Winchesters. Joining them is also Patience, who we met a few episodes ago, and who warns them about a vision she had where Claire dies. 

Their next move is actually locating the dreamwalker Kaia, which they are able to but, as they find her, they are attacked by monsters from the Bad Place, making them realize that the rift to the Bad Place is still open. 

Joining the group later is Donna (which I personally love) who helps them find the place where the rift is.

They find it and, while Claire and Kaia go to the Bad Place to save Sam and Dean, Jody, Alex Patience and Donna work together to kill several monsters that got out of the place and are attacking them.

Claire and Kaia are able to save the brothers but, as they are about to leave, Kaia is killed by the hooded figure that was keeping Sam and Dean captive, the true outcome of Patience's vision. 

In the very end, Sam tells Jody that there's still the possibility of more monsters being on the loose to which she says she will handle it (which, in my opinion, is going to be the storyline for the Wayward Sisters series or, at least, one of the storylines). 

After that, as Claire sits down to eat dinner with her family and swears revenge  on Kaia's killer, another rift opens and the hooded figure gets out, revealing to be actually Kaia (or, at least, is 'wearing' Kaia's face). This ending left a lot of questions which will probably only be answered in the spin-off but, either it is a Kaia version of the Bad Place or is something wearing Kaia's face because there's no way it is actually Kaia.

Anyway, this was pretty much the whole episode. I have to say that I missed Jack and Cass and, from the preview, it looks like we won't see them in the next episode, which is a bummer. I love Jack and I actually really miss Cass and I just want them to get on with the real villain this season (which I still don't know who it is). It's good to have a case of the week once in a while and the one in the next episode looks cool so, it's fine too but we better get Jack and Cass soon. Ok, that's pretty much it.
