The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 10 - "It Takes Two"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Last episode of Season 2 of All Stars and I gotta go straight to the point - I'm really happy with how it all ended!

I started out this season not really liking a lot of people, and most of the people that I sort of liked left right in the beginning of the season. And with all of the King's Palace stuff, there wasn't much that grabbed me this season... But MJ and Jonna kind of changed my mind. Over the season, seeing them as people, as well as competitors and working together, I grew really found of them and I'm really happy that they won!

Some people said that this was all made for them to win, that it didn't make sense the whole Phase 1 and Phase 2 of the Final and, I gotta say, it is indeed weird, but it has happened before and well... I just wanted them both to win so I can't complain. I'm just happy that two of the best people this season won and I'm really proud of Jonna because she almost did it last season and I really felt like this was her season and it really was! So yeah, I'm just happy with the outcome! But now, that I've told you how happy I am, let's get to the beginning of the episode and go through the whole Final.

This final had everything that I wanted, really. It started out right with a bang - not only them starting the final right after the elimination, but it also started with one of those sleep depriving challenges, which are some of my favourites and it has been a while since they have done one of those.

After that, we move to Phase 1 - they have to run, get to a Nucleous, where they have to pick between three paths aka three games. They do have to do all of them and only get to the next phase the Top 3 (aka the last team goes home). These three games were quite difficult - not only they were difficult on a physical level but also on a mental level because most of them had something to do with memory (one of them was actually a memory game).

MJ and Jonna did get lucky in this Phase 1 because they only made it to the next level because Ayanna and Teck gave up. They were pretty tied (even though I think MJ and Jonna would have won anyways) but Ayanna just felt like she couldn't keep going so they were DQed and so Jonna/MJ, Darrell/Janelle and Nehemiah/Melinda moved to Phase 2.

Phase 2 started out, once again, with another of my favourite challenges - an eating one! Again, it has been a while since they have done one of those (even in the main series) so it was amazing to see it again. Then, after finishing eating some awful things (to be honest, it didn't look that bad) they had to run to a math problem, solve it and get the answer to a safe where they had their money.

And again, in the end, it was pretty tied between MJ/Jonna and Darrell/Janelle, and all because both teams didn't read the rules. But I guess Jonna just was faster to realize it and she and MJ opened the safe and then ran to the airplane where TJ was waiting for them! I do have to say that, in this last bit, I thought the teams could still try to outrun each other, but I guess not...

In the end, as I said, I can't complain! My favourite team won and I truly believe they deserved it - both of them! Yes, they didn't go to any elimination and maybe that was all made for them to win but, at least, you can say that they were a strong team and they deserved that win.

Anyway, the episode actually ends with a teaser with TJ for the next season so... I guess they're already filming? I don't know, I just know that I'm excited!

Now, let me know your thoughts on this final and if you liked the winners (if not, who did you want to win?) and I guess now it will take some time for me to post a new rant so... Until next post!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 9 - "Break Stuff"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everybody!

It's that time again - The Challenge: All Stars! This episode follows almost the same result as the previous one. However, what I really wanted ended up happening and, even though the ideal situation didn't happen, the outcome of it all was good so... I'm happy with this episode!

Besides all that, we got some great challenges and great elimination so, let's talk about those!

This episode moved pretty quickly, which I'm not mad about. We saw a little bit of why everyone wanted to make it into the final in the beginning of the episode, but soon it moved to the daily challenge. In theory, this wasn't a hard challenge - untie some knocks, get some keys, and put a 'relic' in an altar - all on top of some moving trucks. The thing about this challenge though was that it was a timed event and they only had 5 minutes to untie those knots and, if they are anything like myself, it's hard and I would take ages to complete the challenge. Well, apparently, they aren't better than me, to be honest, because only one team completed it - the only team that we didn't want to win - Melinda and Nehemiah. Not only that meant that they would save Teck and Ayanna but also meant that everyone from the other alliance was nominated. I mean, that ended up happening because Brad and Jodi were disqualified.

It was actually pretty funny to be honest, the reason why they were disqualified. Basically they didn't listen to the rules properly and Brad just Hulk shamashed all those boxes instead of untying the knots. Jodi didn't do much better either but she eventually realized that you were supposed to do that. Still, that meant that they were going straight into elimination and, with Nehemiah and Melinda winning, it was obvious that MJ/Jonna and Darrell/Janelle were nominated. And that's why they went through that bit really quickly.

Then, as for the actual decision, it was up to only Teck and Ayanna to decide and, obviously, and I totally agree with Darrell here, they made it a tie so it was up to Nehemiah and Melinda to make that decision. Thankfully, they went with the smarter choice and also the one that I wanted - Darrell and Janelle. Not only I'm rooting for MJ and Jonna but also, if you think about it, Darrell has won almost every season he has been in so it's way smarter to throw him into elimination, against another strong team, so you send, at least, one strong team home. Regardless, when it came to the actual elimination, I was rooting for Darrell and Janelle.

And, in terms of elimination, that was another really cool elimination, with them breaking stuff, sending it through two holes and, in the end, it was up to the weight. Also, really nice that each team couldn't see each other, which I think is better to just keep your head in the game and not worry about how the other team is doing.

Well, in the end, the difference wasn't big but Darrell and Janelle did end up winning and I'm really happy with that! It's what I said - not the ideal situation, with Nehemiah winning, but the end result was good with MJ and Jonna safe and Darrell winning the elimination.

To end it all, of course TJ had to drop a plot twist - the elimination started right then and there! No waiting a few days, nothing! Poor Darrell and Janelle that are exhausted...

But that's it for this episode. Next one is the actual final and I guess you already know who I want to win so let me know who do you want to win and I'll see you in my next post!

Love,
Daniela
