Shadowhunters | Season 2 Episode 13 - "Those of Demon Blood"

Spoiler Alert!

Here I am with a new rant.
I must say that this episode wasn't as exciting for me because no Sebastian. But, once again, I need to mention the fact that this episode wasn't as cringy as they use to be, so the series is really improving, which is good.
So, like I said, there was no Sebastian in this episode, which means that he isn't the 'main villain' or whatever in this. Instead, in this episode the Shadowhunters are going after someone that is killing other shadowhunters and removing their runes.
In the beginning, they find a shadowhunter that was killed by an werewolf, to which they go straight to Luke. Then, more shadowhunters are found, and these were killed by vampires and warlocks, which made them go to Magnus and Raphael to know what's going on.
Izzy goes to talk to Raphael who tells her about the fact that, in the past, something happened between the Downworlders and the Clave and that a particular Seelie talked about hunting the shadowhunters and even removing their runes - that Seelie was Meliorn.
They find Meliorn but he says that he isn't the one to do it but he knows who is and that he kind find that person.
It ends up being one girl Seelie (which I can't remember the name). Izzy ends up killing her in the end, which made her my favourite character in this episode.
Thats was basically it about the main storyline this episode.
Of course a lot of other things happened like the whole thing about Jace being and Herondale. Obviously he starts being treated differently from Imogen (her grandmother) and she even nominates him as head of the Institute while she's away. In the end, Jace ends up making Alec the head of the Institute instead of him, which makes more sense in my opinion and I totally agree that Alec is way better at that job that Jace is.
Also, there's a whole thing about Simon. Not only about him being a Daylighter and the vampires wanting to follow him, but also Clary tells him to continue with his 'band' and in the end of the episode he performs in the bar where Maia works at. Oh, and to finish the rant off, Maia and Jace end up hooking up after Maia telling him and he's still in love with Clary and Jace denying it, to which she tells him to prove it.
Well, like I said, not a bad episode, but I felt like it was a little bit of a filler.
Maybe this whole thing about shadowhunters being hunted was an 'easter egg' about what's coming like, the Downworlders revolting and all that, but let's see. I just ask for more Sebastian because he's so good!
That's it guys! Let me know your thoughts on the episode and I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Champs vs Pros | Season 30 Episode 6 - "No Guts No Glory"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys and 'welcome' to the last rant of this The Challenge special.
Yes, yesterday was the last episode this season, which kind of sucks but, at the same time, it was nice and short and it gets us closer to the new season (which I'm going to talk about later).
So, as I predicted, the final wasn't like the other ones. It was still a lot more difficult than the other challenges throughout the season, but it wasn't like in another country with a lot of snow or a lot heat or anything like that. But first, we had to come to only a few people going to the final, which meant, before the actual final, there was another challenge, which was one of my favourites this season, I might say.
This challenge was all about strategy. You know how I suck at describing challenges but they basically had to eat some foods (some good other bad) that got them a ball and each type of food had a ball with different points. It's a little messy (as always) but if you saw the episode you understand. Anyway, they played it in two rounds, first the girls and then the boys. Then, at first, I didn't understand how they were going to pick the winners and all, but it was like, the guy and girl winner from each team (pros and champs) were paired and then it came to the fastest out of all the others (pros and champs) and that person would pick a partner from their team (guy/girl pairs).
So, out of the girls Cara Maria won and Lindsey won from the Champs. Out of the boys, it was Darrell and Kam, each meant Darrell was paired with Cara Maria and Kam was paired with Lindsey. Then, the person that was the fastest out of all the others was my girl Camila! I have faith in you girl! Then, like I said before, she had to pick a guy to pair with her and she was obviously going to pick CT, but he stepped out and said that Wes deserved it and bla bla bla and Camila ended up picking Wes. I don't like Wes but I adore Camila, so I'm going to be rooting for her no matter what!
Moving on, it is the final time!
Like I said, the final wasn't as exciting as the other ones, but it was still a difficult one and it was a little bit messy too. They kept switching up and that makes me anxious.
In the beginning, Camila and Wes were in the lead, but then it came to a point where Darrell and Cara Maria passed them (with Kam and Lindsey always in the end) and then, at the puzzels checkpoint, Lindsey and Kam kind of cheated and passed Camila and Wes, which really pissed me of!
Then, Cara Maria and Darrell were already in the finish line but they didn't got the final key right, which meant they had to go back and memorize it again, which gave me a litte hope that Camila and Wes could pass them, but they were still pretty behind and, in the end, Cara Maria and Darrell won, Lindsey and Kam got second place and Camila and Wes third place.
Well, at least, it was a Champ Team to win, which is already better then the Pros Winning.
Nothing against them, I just think it would be kind of embarrassing to have the Pros win at the Champs game so yeah, it was a nice 'special' season but now I'm really ready for the new season!
I don't know if I've already talked about it here but the next season is going to be called 'Dirty 30', which are the 30 dirtiest players of all the Challenge seasons and you know what that means?! Bananas is in obviously! You can't get any dirtier than Bananas, let's be honest! Camila is in as well so this is going to be a great season! I'm putting a lot of faith in Bananas so he better not let me down!
Unfortunatelly, I won't be at home when it airs. I'll be on holidays but, as soon as I get home, I'm going to watch it and rant about because, like I said, I'm really really excited!
Anyway, let me know your thoughts on this season finale and tell me who are you rooting for in the next season (some of the players that are in it include CT, Cory, Cara Maria, Jordan, Jemmye, Jenna, Kailah and obviously Bananas and Camila, but there's a bunch more). So, let me know that and I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Champs vs Pros | Season 30 Episode 5 - "Immovable Objections"

Spoiler Alert!

Here we are with the second to last The Challenge episode of Champs vs Pros.
But good news! A brand new season is starting again in July and, even though I won't be here when it airs (because I'll be on holidays), I will for sure start ranting about it as soon as I get home!
Also good news is the fact that the champs won this challenge! I know, I'm starting right away with the ending but that is good news! I would say that the champs team and the pros team are actually pretty balanced, which I never really thought would happen. Anyway, back to the challenge.
This week the challenge was endurance and that's my favourite type of challenges and, like I predicted, this week we would have a guy and girl elimination but, because this is the challenge, and the season is almost ending, they had to throw some twists.
First, the challenge had three heats, in which the last one, the tie breaker, would be the team captains against eachother (champs against pros). But this wasn't the only twist.
Next, we learned that the elimination was going to be champs against pros!
Because Lolo and Louie were the Pros Captains, they were already up for elimination. Then, it came to CT and Cara Maria (the champs captains) to decide who would go against Lolo and Louie.
It came to Ashley against Lolo and Wes against Louie.
But, the twists didn't end here.
The elimination was in that night so, it was pretty exhausting!
When it came to the actual elimination, Ashley was pretty pissed because not only she was in elimination for the third time, but she was going against Lolo, who was also in elimination for the third time. And, to top it all off, Ashley lost, so... Yeah, this wasn't a great episode for Ashley.
Luckily, this wasn't all bad for the champs team, because Wes actually won against Louie.
Wes is going up on my consideration. I still don't like him but he has beat some good competitors (including my fave Bananas) so, yes, he's actually a good competitor.
Anyway, that was basically it for this episode.
Next one is going to be last this season and, although the finals are always pretty exciting, something tells me that this one isn't going to be as great as the 'normal' challenge finals so... Let's see.
That's it guys! Hope you liked it and tell me your predictions/wishes for the season finale!
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 2 Episode 12 - "You Are Not Your Own"

Spoiler Alert!

So, here I am with a new Shadowhunters rant.
I must say that this second part of the season is surprising me, in a good way. I didn't really find any bad things in this episode, which is huge so, congrats to the team!
Obviously there was little things that could've been done better, but that's just me being picky.
Well, let's start with my favourite part of the episode - Sebastian! I told you! You were going to hear a lot about Sebastian and here's me keeping up with that promise.
Anyway, like I said, Sebastian was my favourite part in the episode, mostly that scene where he was being really harsh with Clary. The whole 'Clary's powers not working' thing was being kind of boring and, althought I was curious why it wasn't working, I didn't care much, to be honest, but then Sebastian went to go talk to her and he started talking about feelings and, seriously, it is so obvious that all of this is part of his master plan! I still have no idea what his plan is (because, once again, I didn't read the books) but I can sense that it's going to be an huge plot twist (on the characters) when he finally tells them who/what he really is and what he really wants.
Then, the part where he shouted at her and everything... He then apologized to her but, to be honest, I don't think he was sorry. You could see he was enjoying it and I think this, and the last scene of the last episode were hints for the viewers that don't know anything about Sebastian to start noticing that something is wrong with him. Anyway, I just can't wait for him to show his real self and be like really bad because I love my bad boys so, yeah.
Moving one to the main story of the episode - Magnus and Valentine.
The whole thing was pretty cool, actually, but there were times where it was really weird to see Alan and Magnus and Harry as Valentine, mostly when Alec was with Valentine's body (real Magnus).
The only thing that I found really odd and was a little bit of a 'contradition' was the fact that Alec just killed Azazel just like that, after Sebastian saying that it was really hard and that the spot was the size of a pea and so on and so on, Alec just killed him really easily. I know they had a pretty big storyline ahead, but still, didn't really like that part.
Apart from that, the whole Simon and Izzy thing was really nice, can't wait to really have Sizzy 100% confirmed and then, another big 'reveal' was that Jace is, in fact, an Herondale.
I wasn't really surprised by it because I saw some spoilers, but I didn't really know that before the spoilers so, it was nice, I guess. It just seems to me that they're rushing a lot of things. I know, in fact, that the things on the books aren't like this so, they're switching some things up and I think it's going by too fast. Let me know what you think.
Well, I think that's pretty much it. Overall, it was a good episode. Once again, not my favourite, but I can see that the series is improving so, I'm excited to see where this goes.
Let me know your thoughts on the episode, what do you think is going to happen and I'll see you tomorrow with a new The Challenge, rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | No More Rants

Hello guys!
I'm here, sadly, to announce that I'm not going to do more The Originals rants.
This comes a little bit out of a sudden but, the truth is, I'm not doing great at Uni at the moment. I'm not doing really bad, but there's one particular subject that I'm strugling with and I need to focus more on that.
The blog and the rants are just an hobbie to me. Obviously I would love to do something related to reviewing or even be on a podcast to talk about my favourite series in the future, but right now my main priority is to do well at school and that means make choices and maybe even leave the blog behind.
I'm not going to do that, relax! But I did have to stop ranting about one of the series and the one that I chose was The Originals.
I love The Originals to death and they're like my substitute for TVD, but it was the last series that I started ranting about so I think it wouldn't be 'fair' to my other series to stop one of those before this one, so The Originals was the 'chosen one'.
Before I really end this post I just wanted to say that I did watch the last episode (as I'm still going to watch the show and, also, if you want to keep updated on my thoughts about the show you can live tweet with me @danixinhahhh or just go to my twitter page because I'll keep live twetting during the episode so, that won't change) and I really liked it. The last episode was basically all I wanted! You know I'm an hardcore Kolvina shipper and we finally had the happy ending that we wanted/deserved so, let's just pray this stays this way.
Ok, I think that's all for now...
I'm really really sorry but it's life and I just had to. Maybe I'll come back with the rants for the new season, who knows?!
Until then, there's still going to be Shadowhunters and The Challenge rants during the summer so, keep and eye on those!
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 2 Episode 11 - "Mea Maxima Culpa"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys, and welcome back to the Shadowhunters' rants.
Season 2B aired on the past Monday but I only got time to watch it now so here I am with all of my thoughts about the second part of this season.
Right away I must say that this second part looks much better! They said that the series was going to get darker and it really is.
We start of with a scene that, in my opinion, wasn't that great, which Jace and Alec fighting/training. I'm used to Arrow's fight sequences, which are amazing so this was a little bit underwhelming. Then, the next part wasn't the best either because it was a Simon/Clary scene and, not only I don't ship them, but I still don't think Kat is a good actress and her scenes are always really cringey.
From here we got into the good stuff!
The villain for this episode, this Main Demon, was actually pretty good! I liked how it looked and I liked what he did and his 'story' and, mostly, it made me think a lot about Supernatural because this demon was Azazel and you know... Azazel was like the main villain in the first seasons of Supernatural and he was huge so it was nice to have some type of creature that I was familiar with.
We also got back to some Valentine storyline, which kind of annoyed me a little bit but at the same time I liked it. I didn't like Valentine that much but, with this episode, I could see how much potential he has as a villain and I appreciate him, although I think it's time to get over him and move on to another villain.
And, talking about another villain... We finally got introcuded to Sebastian!
I must say, Sebastian was the main reason why I was excited for this second part of the season and, with just this episode, he turned out to be my favourite Shadowhunters' character. You'll see me talking about him a lot in the next rants so, be prepared.
But, in terms of the proper scenes with him, he didn't look nothing like a villain! But, unless they're changing the story from the books, we know that he's going to be. Nonetheless, I loved to see his interations with Izzy and that last scene with him burning his hand was really creepy and it got me really confused and intrigued so, I'm curious to see what is all that about (because I didn't read the books so I have no clue).
Moving on to something not so good, I need to mention, once again, Clary.
So, Jace didn't tell her about them not being brothers afterall and then she finds out through Valentine and, oh my god, that scene was so cringey! Like, seriously, why would you react like that to finding out that the guy you liked, that then you stoped liking because he was your brothers, isn't your brother afterall?! I seriously don't get it and I really think it was super overdramatic!
Well, to finish this up I just want to say that Raphael is kind of annoying me as well but I really liked Alec in this episode! I think he really developed as a character (and Matt as an actor) during hiatus and I'm liking where his character is right now so, props to Matt!
That's basically it!
Befor I finish, I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to stop doing The Originals' rants. I might do a full post about it and letting my (only) The Originals' readers know but I just wanted to tell you right away that I'm going to stop doing them.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts about this new Shadowhunters' episode and I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Champs vs Pros | Season 30 Episode 4 - "A Cold Day In Hell"

Spoiler Alert!

Back with a brand new rant, this time The Challenge rant.
We're getting closer to the end which means the episodes are getting more and more exciting.
Once again, in this episode, there wasn't many drama. Yes, it started out with the cliffhanger of the previous episode, which envolved a little bit of drama but the outcome, as I expected, wasn't that surprising.
Lolo chose to go against Tia and, as you can imagine, that wasn't a fair fight... And Tia even gave up in the third 'round' because she knew she wasn't going to beat Lolo. And from that, we just moved on to the next day.
We see Wes and Lolo having some conversation in a bar or whatever (like we see in the picture) and then we jump right into the challenge.
This week's challenge was all about memorizing things and it was a take two of that challenge that one had to pull something to show the puzzel that was underneath it (I can't really explain it, I'm sorry) and right away I said that the champs were going to win and guess what? Yes, they won! Which means, they're tied up again! It was pretty good challenge, to be honest, and I always like to see the champs win so...
Then, we move on to the nominations and, since Gus was the Team Captain, he was already up for elimination. The rest of the team then had to vote and, once again, they made it a tie, which Gus didn't want. He eventually had to pick someone and he chose CM Punk. On the champs side, Darrell was safe because he was the Team Captain and they won, so it was between Wes, Jordan and CT and I said right away that it was going to be Wes and Jordan because Darrell was going to choose obviously Wes, which he did and there was no way the other were going to vote in CT so yes, it was Wes against Jordan and, although I don't really like either of them, I was rooting for Jordan because I really don't like Wes.
When it came to the elimination, the first ones to go in where Gus and CM Punk. I was obviously rooting for Gus, as was everyone else and, thankfully, he won!
Then, when it was the champs time, I wasn't so lucky because Wes won.. Once again...
Anyway, it was a good match and it was a good episode. Next one is going to be the second to last episode of this season, so I expect great things! I'm a bit confused on how many people is going to the final but I predict that the next episode is going to eliminate both guys and girls, one from each team, so it's going to be four on each team in the final. But, you never know with the Challenge so... Let's wait and see.
In the mean time, let me know which are your predictions and who are you rooting for. You kow I'm still rooting for my girl Camila!
Until the next rant...
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 10 - "Phantomesque"

Spoiler Alert!

I'm sorry I took a little too long with this rant. It's the same usual really... I got caught up on Uni work. But the year is almost ending so, hopefully, I will be up to date with the next rants.
Anyway so, this past week, I almost didn't watch the episode live. My stream was airing a Baseball game and The Originals only aired at 3am (GMT Time). But I waited I got to watch the whole episode 'live' which was nice.
This was a good episode. I don't think it was the best one (or one of the best) but it was nice. The whole thing about Elijah being trapped was pretty good and, the thing that I liked the most - Rebekah and Kol came back! It made sense, really... Not only because Elijah is 'in trouble' but also because the season is almost ending, which I sometimes forget because I'm not used to The Originals having only 13 episodes. But, let's get into the proper events...
So, like I said, Rebekah and Kol come back not only to help Elijah but (mostly) to help Klaus defeat The Hollow (which we saw in the last episode that got into her real body).
Meanwhile, Freya tries to 'fix' Elijah by entering in his mind. This is crucial because Freya can't fix the necklace while Elijah is 'lost' in his mind, otherwise he will really be stuck in the necklace forever. The issue is that Freya can't really do the two things at the same time, do the spell and get insde Elijah's mind at the same time, so Hayley volunteers to get inside his mind. And, because Hope is always the one to save everyone, she also has to help Freya to keep Hayley inside Elijah's mind.
Back to Klaus, Rebekah and Kol... They go after the remain 'stakes' that can kill them in order to destroy them. That'a when they find Marcel who just had an encounter with the Hollow. Turns out, he needs her blood/her magic to revert the state in which Sofya is in. That's when Rebekah accidentaly tells him that their looking for the last 'stake' and, obviously, he goes after it as well since it has part of The Hollow's magic. In the end, he gets it and he might be able to reverse the 'spell' or whatever in Sofya.
Everything works out fine with basically everyone... Once again, with Hope's help, Hayley and Freya 'find' Elijah, so Freya is able to fix the necklace. Elijah is still 'dead' but he's 'fine' inside the necklace. The only issue is that Hayley was face-to-face with Elijah's old self, the 'red door' Elijah, so she's now afraid of him, which is going to be insteresting from now on.
Then, about Rebekah, Kol and Klaus... Rebekah decides to stay with the family because she needs to help them get Elijah back, but Kol says that he can't because of what he found out earlier about Davina and the ancestors. That's when he goes to Davina's cript, to say goodbye and that's when he comes face to face with The Hollow and she tells him that she can bring Davina back, if Kol does stuff for her. At that moment I just say 'no'... It had to be Kol... And then, Davina screms, obviously Kol follows the sound and finds her, trapped, in a 'circle' and then The Hollow tells him that her and Davina are linked so, if he wants to keep her alive, he'll do what she says.
We all know that Kol is going to do that, nontheless, it's going to be interesting so how they are going to get out of this mess and, overall, how are we going to have Kolvina back! Seriously, that's all that I'm worried about! I'm kidding, but yeah, I really want to see Kolvina back so I'm pretty excited for the next episodes.
Anyway, let me know which are you're thoughts on the episode and which are your predictions for the next ones.
Love,
Daniela.
