The Flash | Season 7 Episode 5 - "Fear Me"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!!

So here we are with one more The Flash episode.

But today I bring you good news - this was actually a good episode!

This week's episode of The Flash had everything that I like - Killer Frost plot (which after that cliffhanger last week I couldn't wait to see more of it), a good villain, a nice tie-in to previous seasons (and ones that we don't talk about often) and, most of all, this was a Barry centered episode!! YEY!

You know how I feel about having Iris in the center of everything so it was nice to get back to what the show used to be - a show about The Flash  (aka Barry).

Okay so, I guess I can start with the first thing that I mentioned (which was also how they started the episode) - Frost and Caitlin being in separate bodies now.

To be honest, there's not really much to it. They explain fairly well how that happened (like, why it happened and why now) and then, in terms of story in the episode, it was just about how they could get them back together again but Frost not really wanting that and Caitlin missing Frost in her head and basically both wanting different things. Well, needless to say that in the end they worked things out and decided to stay separated. Which is really convenient for the story that they set up for Frost in the end of the episode - the FBI or whatever being after her and wanting to arrest her. I guess they will have to get back to work on that gadget to unite them again...

Anyway, that's it for the Frost/Caitlin story-line. Now, onto the main plot and this episode's villain (which Cisco ends up calling Psych).

I must say that I was thrilled with this villain/plot. This resembled a lot of horror movies (mainly Freddy Kruger, who they even mention in the episode) and so, being a horror fan, I loved it! Psych was genuinely scary and the way they edited his scenes was amazing! But ultimately this worked because it was a hard villain for Barry to beat which created a really good story-line. I wish they had chosen this villain as the season's villain but I guess that villain will be someone way more powerful because I guess it's that villain that is controlling all the 'little ones' that have come up so far - Fuerza (which was such a funny name that Cisco gave to that 'monster' that appeared last episode) and now Psych. We'll see who shows up next. But, back to Psych, turns out, Barry wasn't really the one that could beat him, Cecile was!! They have been setting up her for something bigger and really telling us over and over that her powers are growing and I guess they really are. In something really unexpected, they use DeVoe's chair (which I had completely forgotten about that villain and didn't even know they had his chair) with Cecile's powers in order to have the opposite effect Psych had on people and ultimately defeat him. I have to say that I was a bit bummed about the fact that we didn't see who was behind that mask, as well as the fact that I guess he was just energy created by this villain that we don't know about, but I liked the plot overall.

And yeah, I guess that was it for the episode. In the end they reveal that this villain might be another speed-force or, as I predict, is another type of force - all the other heroes/villains powers have to come from some place so I guess it's a telekinesis force or something?! I don't know, but I don't think it's another speed-force, it has to be some other type of force, but we'll see.

Next episode looks like it won't really move to plot forward but it looks really cool with Cisco and Chester travel back in time so... This should be fun!

Let me know what you thought of this episode (personally I think it flowed really well, not a lot of characters and it focused on the important ones so I'm happy) and tell me your predictions for who might be this season's villain. I'll see you tomorrow with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist | Season 2 Episode 7 - "Zoey's Extraordinary Memory"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Zoey is back which makes me so happy! Not only that but also the show is back to its old self which is also really nice! I don't know if you remember but I had a few issues with the last episode. Episode 6 was all about the Black Lives Matter movement and, again, don't get me wrong, I understand the importance of the movement and I know it's something that we as a society have to work on but, in this show, and in particular the way they approached it in the previous episode, it didn't sit well with me. I'm not going to get much into it because I said everything I wanted to say in my last post but not only the episode seemed a bit forced but they dragged Zoey's character. In the last episode every single of her friends made her feel like she was so annoying to them and yeah... Everyone was pretty mean to her, without a cause, I should say, and I did not enjoy that. However, they redeemed themselves in this episode, and that's what I liked the most about it.

As I said, this episode got back to the usual happy but still emotional tone of the show. Both main stories of the episode focused on that and, in the end, it gave me a really heartwarming feeling.

This whole episode revolved around a memory that Zoey had with her father - a stargazing/meteor shower that only happens every once in a while and Zoey wanted to recreate that memory now that the meteor was happening again. Unfortunately, her dad isn't around anymore so she decided to go by herself. I mean, what she actually wanted was to go with her friends but, because of everything that happened in the last episode, now she feels like she's a burden to them so she doesn't bother them with this. However, Leif and Tobin also want to go so they end up going together. Unfortunately, Zoey and Leif miss the meteor shower because Zoey hears Leif sing about a failed date with a girl, and that's what propels the whole episode.

Well, as per usual, Zoey wants to help everybody so she sets out to help Leif with his problem and after Leif confides that this girl left him hanging, she sets up another date between them in MaxiMo's opening.

Then there's this whole thing that Zoey wants to catch the meteor shower again but it's the opening of the restaurant and she wants to be there for her friends so it's a race against time and everything crumbles when, not only she finds out this girl is only using Leif in order to get a job at SPRQ POINT, but also she misses the meteor shower again and she really 'looses it' when she reads Danny Michael Davis speech and he talks about being at this meteor shower. And that's when her friends get back to normal and say that she can always count on them. That's what I wanted!! That last episode really felt out of character for basically everyone so it's nice to see things go back to normal. Needless to say that things end up fine and they all go see the stars no matter what (when I say all of them I mean Zoey, Leif, Max, Simon, Tobin and this other girl that I can't remember the name but it's one of those that work at SPRQ POINT as well).

The other story of the episode that was really cute as well as David wanting to join Aiden's band. Not only I loved that the played Watermelon Sugar, but I also loved that they gave something else to David besides the whole baby thing - can't wait to see more of him in this bad. And, because we're talking about songs I have to talk about the musical numbers in this episode. Overall I really liked all of them but besides Watermelon Sugar, loved when Leif sand Tainted Love and, my favorite (maybe biased) was Max and Mo singing Let's Get Loud - amazing!

And yeah, I guess that's basically it. There was also this whole triangle thing as well not only with Simon flirting with Zoey a lot (a bit out of nowhere) but also a new girl called Rose that it's clearly a «love interest» for Max, which I do not like. But let's see where this leads. In the meantime, let me know what you thought of the return of Zoey's Playlist and I'll see you later this week with a lot more rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 15 - "Never Say Never Again"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

This is such an exciting episode! My girl Big T finally got her Gold Skull!

That is right! I know I started right with the end but I just had to share my excitement! This whole episode was such a roller-coaster and for a moment I doubted Big T would get it but... It's always nice when people prove you wrong and show that they are strong ass people and that was exactly what happened here with Big T. Yes, the elimination that she got was in her favor, but that's not really her fault... Also, I do feel bag for Aneesa though. This was a really hard one because on one hand I adore Big T and I really wanted her to get a chance at going into the final, but on the other hand I have become a fan of Aneesa and I feel her - always get sent home right before the final... That really sucks!! But ultimately I was indeed rooting for Big T and I was so happy that she won!

Anyway... Now that I said everything I had to say about the end of the episode, let's rewind a bit a start with the beginning.

As per usual, the episode really foreshadowed the whole thing. There was a ton of Aneesa and a ton of Big T, as well as some Leroy. (and that also plays into the actual final and who I think will win, but I'll get into that later)

The actual challenge of the week involved sky diving and a puzzle. Didn't look like the hardest thing but it sure looked scary - not only to me but also to a lot of the contestants, such as Big T and Leroy. This whole thing revolved around Big T, let's be honest, and I was so proud that she pulled through and didn't give up! However, ultimately, it was between Leroy/Kaycee and Kam/Cory who were the winners of each round. In the end, Leroy and Kaycee won. There was also a bit of tension and CT arguing with Big T telling her that she needs to run and that was the reason why he left her. It was harsh but it was also true. I can't help but also side with Big T when she says that jumping out of the plane took a whole lot of courage from her and the scare factor didn't help her running after the jump so... I get that as well. Someone that also 'argued' with his partner was Kyle. We all know Aneesa isn't the best at running so that was understandable. And there's also Nany that realized that Fessy really isn't a good partner. Oh, and I was pleasantly surprised at Cory and Kam and I think they will make a good team going forward.

Well, after the challenge it was time for some celebration and it was  90's night (or was it 80's? I can't remember exactly) and that was when the whole fight between Fessy and CT happened. It wasn't a huge fight but it still annoyed me. It annoyed me the fact that Fessy really thinks he's better than everyone, including CT and... Oh boy! Just like Nany and Leroy said CT will eat you alive. He will crush you with his bare hands. Fessy is nothing compared with CT. He talks a big game but he came out last, in last season's finale. Kyle, Cory and Bananas were better than him so... Yeah Fessy, you need some achievements to back up your ego.

Anyway... After that it was time for nominations and, even though Aneesa tried to get Nany to be the house vote, it didn't work out and everything happened the way that we all knew was going to happen - Big T house vote and Leroy voted in Aneesa. And the rest I have already talked about.

As far as predictions go, I don't have a lot. Just like everyone in the house I really thought this would be the last episode before the final and... I guess not. Next week we are back into 'normal' challenges, but I do feel like next episode will be a double elimination. I say this mainly because of the episode count. Usually each season has between 16-19 episodes so I guess next episode is the last one before the final but they can't have a rogue agent so it will be a double elimination. Then episodes 17 and 18 will be the final and then 19 and possibly 20 the reunion. That makes sense in my head but there's also the possibility that there will be more episodes before the final. I really don't know. And in terms of who's going in next week... Maybe CT... People were really mad at him this episode because they're saying he doesn't really want to be with Big T (which I disagree, to be honest) but the preview also shows Kyle so... I really don't know.

Let me know your predictions, as well as what you thought of this episodes and, before I end, I have some pretty good news! There will be a new The Challenge series! That's right - The Challenge All Stars, with the old days challenge competitors. Some of them I know such as Darrell and Aneesa that were in this season, but also Derrick that was in some of the previous more recent seasons, but others are way too old for me to know so that's going to be interesting. It will be a Paramount+ show (not on MTV) so I don't really know how that is going to work (if they're going to release all the episodes or one each week) but if they do it each week I'm going to be covering them here as well! So, starting next week, hopefully, there will be two The Challenge posts on the blog, which is so exciting!

And yeah, that's all I have to say! I'll see you next week with a lot of rants (The Flash, two The Challenge posts and Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist is also back so, exciting times)!

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 4 - "Central City Strong"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people.

Here we are, with the supposed season premiere. This was supposed to be Season 7's first episode and... It did feel like a Season starter. However, it was not a good one.

Just like last week episode, this was so lame and pretty boring, to be honest. There were a few things that were interesting and could turn into something good, but other things that just annoyed the heck out of me, one of them being the whole 'defeating the bad guy with love'.

I'm basically starting with the end but I need to talk about this. So you know like in last episode Iris 'defeated' Eva with her 'compassion'? Well, in this episode it was Barry that talked Abra Kadabra out of what he was about to do. And I get it - the writers are really leaning into the whole 'Barry is the Paragon of Love' thing but it's just not fun to watch! We want a superhero show that is entertaining and fun, and that means some fight sequences as well as some humor which Cisco usually gives us that but, in this week's episode, the humor wasn't the best either.

One thing that I did enjoy was the fact that they gave Iris some substance. That whole story last season, even though she was like pretty important, it just annoyed me so much. But, now, the PTSD story that makes sense for her character and, even though I'm not a big fan of hers nor I really care about what happens to her, I can see that this is a nice development and something that, most of all, makes sense. On that note, however, they are still pushing down our throats the whole WestAllen thing and I can't. I just can't. I have never shipped them and, in my honest opinion, I don't think they even have chemistry nor their personalities work but... Okay...

When it comes to the villain of the episode (Abra Kadabra) we already knew him (even though I did not remember him very well) and I did enjoy part of what he brought to this episode. For once the actor is pretty good so, there's that. But in terms of actual story, it made sense... Sort of. He basically wanted to destroy Central City to make Barry suffer for changing his fate when the Crisis happened and the multiverse ended. I liked that they brought that up (even though Superman & Lois are basically doing the same thing but okay...) and, most of all, I loved that Barry addressed Oliver's death and how much he misses him. That was something really sweet and I also miss Oliver and Barry and Oliver together. Their 'bromance' was my favorite!

So, Barry does stop Abra Kadabra, but right after that a monstrous being suddenly appears and attacks the Flash and kills Abra Kadabra (so much for redeeming his character). The being begins to squeeze the life out of the Flash and absorbing it (just like he did with the anti-matter bomb that Abra Kadabra made) but something spooks this monster and he runs away.

The episode then ends with something really cool - Caitlin and Killer Frost being separated and both having their own bodies! That I was not expecting! So now I want to know more about that and just see them interact with each other.

And I guess that's it for this episode. After the last ones and last season, this was a bit lackluster but at least this gave us something that can potentially turn into something interesting so... Let's see. As always I have hope that this season will be good (at least, better than the last one) so... We'll see. Let me know what you thought of this episode, the proper Season Premiere, what you thought of the Abra Kadabra story and what do you think is that monster? Let me know everything and I'll see you tomorrow with a new rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 14 - "The Best of Enemies"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Here I am, again, with a new The Challenge rant! A little bit later than usual, I know, but only now I was able to watch the episode.

Anyway, so this episode did not go as I expected! Remember all those predictions from my last post? Oh, how wrong was I about the whole thing. Truth is, they really left everything in the air last episode. We didn't know if it was a guys elimination, a girls elimination or both. And we didn't have any idea of who might win the week's challenge. My prediction was that Leroy and Kaycee would win again and, to be completely fair, they almost did but... Against all odds, Kyle and Aneesa won the challenge and I couldn't be happier!

There was this whole talk in the beginning of the episode of who would go against Cory and Cory wanting to be the house vote but the house wanting to vote for Kyle... Yeah, Kyle and Aneesa were going to be the ones to go into elimination and so, because of that, I was thrilled when TJ said that they won (mostly because he really led everyone to believe that it would be either Leroy/Kaycee or CT/Kam). And, because we're on that topic, I must talk about the fact that not only CT but also Nany aren't happy with their current partners. That's called karma! They were the ones that really wanted out of their pairs and now, their new partners aren't working as well as they thought they would and I bet that's because both are 'alpha' people. Kam always wants to be the center of everything and the same goes for Fessy and, in a partnership, you need someone that is more chill so they balance each other out, which was what was happening with both CT/Big T and Kyle/Kam. To be fair, I think most people will work well with Kyle, and I was so surprised of how well Kyle and Aneesa work together because both have been shady towards one another so... Yeah, I'm liking that unlikely pair.

But back to the game... So Kyle and Aneesa won and now everyone doesn't know who to vote for. And suddenly, Leroy realizes that he might be going in as the one that Cory wants to go against so he starts working on some plan to send in Darrell as the house vote and, because he has the numbers, that's exactly what happens. Darrell and Amber are the house vote and Aneesa and Kyle vote in Cory and Big T. Kyle really wanted to make a big move and send in CT or Fessy, but he did what Aneesa wanted and sent in Cory.

So Cory against Darrell... You would think that Darrell would win but... No. Surprisingly, Cory beat Darrell like big time, I was shocked! And in such a big twist of events, not only Kyle and Aneesa win the week's challenge but Cory steals Darrell's Gold Skull. Oh, and also, I was so wrong about the double elimination. No, it was just a guys elimination and next week will be a girls one which I know Big T is going in. And because I knew that, I knew what was going to happen next in this episode.

Turns out, Cory decides to steal Kam from CT which not only was a good move for him (to be safe with all of Kam's numbers) but it was also good for CT who asked if Big T wanted to be paired with him again. That was a cute moment and it was the apology that he should have given her before. Although I did not like how CT went about choosing Kam, I'm happy that he's back with Big T because they do work well together and now Big T as a chance to get her skull (otherwise she would be the Rogue Agent and not be able to go into elimination). And, that left Amber as the Rogue Agent. That's it.

The preview for next week doesn't give us much besides a fight between CT and Fessy which leads me to believe that it will be CT/Big T against Fessy/Nany. Not only Nany would be the easiest girl for Big T to beat but also if it was a guys elimination CT against Fessy would be a good one as well so... That's my prediction - Big T against Nany, and I hope I'm right because I really want Big T to win as well as send Nany home!

That's it guys. A surprising episode but fairly 'normal'. Let me know what you thought of the episode, if you were also surprised that Kyle and Aneesa won the week's challenge and tell me who do you think is going against Big T next week. Until then...

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 3 - "Mother"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Finally we are here with the "last" episode of The Flash of Season 6 - this was supposed to be the season finale last season and oh boy... This was not good.

Last episode was actually pretty nice and I guess it got my hopes up for this week's episode and I guess that backfired. I must say that I wasn't overly excited about this episode (I sort of lost hope on this season and this story) but I was indeed excited that we would be done with this Eva story-line. Unfortunately, it didn't end the best way.

Overall, this episode was pretty lame and, to be honest, it didn't make sense at all. We started right where the last one left of but instead of keep going with the "bad Barry" story-line, they got back to Barry worrying about Iris and not being able to do anything because he lost his speed. The speed part was interesting. I always thought the no speed story-line was interesting, but ultimately I knew we wouldn't stay long on that story because this is The Flash after all.

Anyway, so we are back to square one, basically, the only different thing is really that Iris is back from the mirror-verse and, again, unfortunately, she is the answer to everything wrong right now. We do get a bit more from the whole Wells being back thing and, to me, that was the best thing about the episode. Once again, unfortunately, he just stayed for a little bit and for something sort of pointless. Wells did remind Barry about him being the Paragon of Love which, to be completely honest, I had forgotten all about that story. I sort of wish he didn't though because, after that, Barry is with Iris and suddenly he feels a spark and then Iris wakes up and Barry realizes that Iris is the answer to him getting his speed back. That was the lamest way to fix all of this. But it doesn't end here.

After getting the speed force back and Barry getting his speed back as well, it was time to handle the whole Eva situation, who is now taking people into the mirror-verse and trying to take control over the "real world".

The initial way they tried to "take her down" was actually pretty cool - Barry, Frost and Cisco fighting Eva/multiple Eva's and the way the set up the scene, the music that they chose to put in the background gave the scene such a cool vibe (and I just wish Ralph was there, but that's a conversation for later). However, they weren't able to take Eva down just fighting her and so that's when Iris comes in to action and... I'm sorry, but just ruins the whole thing. Iris tries to take down Eva through her compassion and making her see that she is not making the world a better place which, it is true but... That's so lame! And it works! That's the worst part about the whole thing. And just like that, they're done with the season's villain and with that whole story-line. It was just bad. And on top of that, Harrison Wells doesn't even stay with the team! I was so sad about that and here I am wondering, once again, who Tom Cavanagh is going to play the rest of the season. Or is he not in the rest of the season? I hope not. Well, and here we are with the last "bad thing" about this episode - the whole Ralph and Sue story-line.

I must say that I was so surprised to find out that they were going to tackle that plot but, I guess they had to before going into the remaining of the season.

The thing is, they went with Ralph being burnt and "messed up" in order for him to have to wear some sort of helmet (Daft Punk style) and, because of this whole thing, poor Natalie Dreyfuss. I bet she won't be back for the remaining of the season. Her whole plot revolved around Ralph and, how they set it up with them going somewhere to take down Eva's company, I doubt she will be back. Not only they fired Hartley because of something so stupid (I mean, what he said is pretty bad, but I believe people shouldn't pay for something the said years ago) but Natalie was dragged with this whole thing and lost a pretty good role. I'm sure she can be back if the writers wish to but she would've been more central if it wasn't for this whole Hartley thing.

Anyway so this is it for the unofficial end of Season 6. Now, let's see if this season gets better. From the preview it looks like we will have some bad guys back from previous seasons, but it doesn't give any hints of who might be the big villain of the season.

Well, I guess that's it from me. Let me know what you thought of this episode, how they ended this Eva story and what are your predictions for the remaining of the season and I'll talk to you tomorrow with a new rant.

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 13 - "The Spy Who Loved Fessy"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Back with a new The Challenge rant and, probably, a short one.

Yes, this week's episode not only was shorter (that is not the reason why this post will be shorter) but also it was a bit boring. I mean, I can't really complain. We have been having such a great Season full of twists and turns, really action packed so it's fine to have a slower episode - I guess I was just used to all the episodes being shocking. Also, the beginning of this episode actually happened last episode so there wasn't that build up. We started right away in the week's challenge and went on from that. So let's talk about that challenge.

The truth is, it looked scarier than what it really was. Plus, it was so lame that most of the teams didn't even try. This was basically an eating challenge (it had multiple layers to it but the main game I would say was the eating one) and I love eating challenges and, for some reason, they haven't been doing those often lately, and I guess that's why the players didn't even try - they're not used to this challenges anymore and that's such a bummer. Because of that, I really felt like Nany didn't deserve to go to elimination but, unfortunately, because Leroy won, I knew she was going in. I'm super happy for Leroy though, but I wish this episode was a bit more creative.

And with that, everything else in the episode went as we suspected - the house voted Gabby and Cory and, in the crater, Leroy and Kaycee (the double agents) chose Nany and Kyle. And, as suspected, this was indeed a girls elimination.

Well, needless to say that I was rooting for Gabby. It was sort of a physical elimination, which was nice, and I was super hopeful because Gabby dominated the first round. However, Nany did win the second and third round and, therefore, she won and stayed in the game. Everyone was so happy for Nany because she finally won an elimination and didn't go home right before the final but... I couldn't care less, really. I think she's awful at the same and she doesn't try - and that was visible in the week's challenge when, as I said, she didn't even try. Anyway... And I guess after that was when the 'twist' of the episode happened.

There was this whole thing about either Gabby or Nany switching partners if they won the elimination and, apparently, both of them wanted Fessy?! And Nany being friends with Aneesa was this whole thing... Well, I guess Nany didn't really care about Aneesa and Nany indeed left Kyle and 'stole' Fessy from Aneesa. I really don't get it! This whole obsession with Fessy... He's not that good of a competitor! And with CT and Darrell in the game?! Why Fessy?! I would've stayed with Kyle over Fessy! I mean, I love Kyle and I think he's such an underrated competitor! Yeah, that whole obsession with Fessy is so annoying. Then, that left Aneesa without a partner and, between Kyle and Cory she chose Kyle which is funny because Kyle kept saying that Aneesa is dead weight and the look on TJ's face when Aneesa chose Kyle.. It was priceless. Well, that left Big T with Cory and, oh boy, I really didn't want Big T with Cory because it's obvious that Cory is cursed - he can't keep a partner! Let's just hope the curse stopped and it doesn't affect Big T because I would love to see her in the final.

Now, as for predictions, I only have one really - double elimination next week, guy and girl elimination. And I'm pretty sure Cory and Big T are going in because I remember Big T in a previous preview I just don't know who they will go against... I would prefer Big T against Amber but I don't know if the house would vote that way. It's looking like it will be Kyle and Aneesa but I hope not because I don't know if Big T would win against Aneesa.

Anyway, let me know your predictions as well as your thoughts on this episode and I'll see you next week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 2 - "The Speed of Thought"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Here I am, one more week, with a new The Flash rant and thank god this got better!! I mean, sort of... I'm still over this story, this villain and the whole mirror-verse thing but this had a lot of elements that grabbed my attention and, for the first time in a long time, I was truly invested in the episode, which is amazing.

Post that, I do have to mention that this episode annoyed me so much - but in a good way. I mean, I was so angry at Barry but, to me, that is a good thing because that meant that, again, I was invested. Then, I also liked this episode because we had a bunch of characters back (not Ralph though, and yes, I'm still not over that) and the ending was so shocking - that ending really surprised me and I can't wait to talk about it.

So, as I said, this episode brought back a few characters that have been absent the last few episodes, and one of them was Cisco. It didn't really make sense that they killed Wells when Cisco wasn't there and they didn't really tell him about anything that was happening so they sort of rectify that in the beginning of this episode with the Team saying goodbye to Nash. Post that, they start on making a plan to bring back Iris, Kamilla and Singh (who I had completely forgotten that was also in the mirror-verse). And it's in that process that they realize something different about Barry.

Usually Cisco is the 'smart' one and as he proceeds to explain the plan, Barry completely cuts him off and explains the whole thing himself. That's when they realize that the Artificial Speed Force not only gave him his speed back but also gave him speed-thinking, which resulted in Barry being able to predict outcomes. However, that also made Barry act out of character and not feeling emotionally connected to anyone, and that's noticeable when another character is brought back - Killer Frost - to fight Eva and Barry just doesn't help Frost and lets her get hit by Eva.

This was the main issue of the episode. Barry loosing his emotions. And that was what made me so annoyed. However, I did enjoy that story-line and I think this could've been a good set up for Barry being the villain this season, but I guess that's not happening because of how things proceed.

After exposing Eva as a mirror duplicate, Barry proceeds to get going with the plan to bring back the people from the mirror-verse, but he's faced with the fact that he can only bring either Iris or Kamilla and Singh, and so he hides this information from the rest of the Team after predicting that the Team would rather save Kamilla and Singh (because Barry wants to save Iris, obviously). That's when a whole fight between him and the rest of the Team happen and even though everyone on twitter was rooting for Barry, I wasn't. But of course, Barry predicted the whole fight and so he wins and goes on with his plan. What he doesn't predict is that Iris won't leave without Kamilla and Singh, so Barry has to get her by force, and by doing so Iris starts having seizures and collapses. After that Barry realizes he has endangered his friends and that's when he disables the Artificial Speed Force, putting him back to having his speed in danger of running out.

The after end credits is the real shocker though - we see a flashback from 20 years ago, of Eobard Thawne taking Wells form and killing him (and putting his body in a grave). However, Wells re-materializes and he see him in present time alive. So here it is guys, who Tom Cavanagh is playing this season - Harrison Wells, but the real one that we never met, so that should be fun.

Well, it looks like finally next week we will be ending this Eva story-line and, even though this episode was somewhat good, I can't wait for this whole thing to end. I really didn't like last season and this whole plot so I just want The Flash to have sort of a new start and let's just hope they give us something good for the rest of the season. And, of course, I'm curious to see how they'll wrap up the whole Ralph story-line because... yeah, that really rubbed me the wrong way and I'm going to keep talking about that because it was not fair!

So, let me know what you thought of this episode - where we on Barry's side or the Team's side? Are you also excited that they will be done with this story soon? Tell me everything and I'll see you tomorrow with a new rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 12 - "Tinker, Tailer, Bunny, Spy"

Spoiler Alert!

And I am back with a new rant!

Hello everybody and welcome to a new The Challenge rant!

This week's episode was both intense and boring... Once again I guess I'm going to start with my predictions. And, again, I got half of it right.

The episode starts of right away with the elimination and, guess what?! The Security Breach was a Double Elimination. That was pretty obvious in my opinion and I don't know how everyone was so shocked by that but... Okay... The big twist for me came later on. I did guess that the second most voted pair by the house would also go into elimination (aka Josh and Nany) and I was right about that and the look on Josh's face as well as Devin's face when he knew Josh was going in as well. That was priceless!! What I didn't get right was that the double agents (aka CT and Big T) could pick both opponents and CT didn't need to go against Devin so, obviously, CT chose to go against Josh, which was the person that he wanted all along, and the asked Devin who he wanted and he picked Darrell. Might've not been the smartest choice but, to be fair, there really wasn't anyone else that he could've picked. Between Darrell, Kyle, Leroy and Fessy, I guess Darrell was the better one, maybe... And Devin did have a justification.

So, all of this made the rooting for way easier - was rooting for CT, obviously, and then, surprisingly, I was rooting for Devin (who would've thought it would come to this point where I would be rooting for Devin, wow) even though, I wouldn't mind if Darrell won and... Indeed he did. It was a bit of a bummer that Devin didn't win because I would've loved to see Josh's face when that happened but I knew CT would win (which he did) and so it was as pleasurable to see Josh's face after he lost as well as Devin's face seeing that Josh lost, that was also priceless. (I never thought I would have this much enjoyment out of Devin, wow). And then, the actual shocking part happened.

To me, it looked pretty obvious that both guys who won would stick to their partners but... I guess I was wrong. CT... wow I was so wrong about CT. He really disappointed me and he disappointed a lot of people in the game. So, instead of sticking with Big T he chose to steal Kam from Kyle. WOW I was so shocked. Not only at the fact the he did it but also the way he did it. The way he went about choosing Kam, like yelling and not even acknowledging Big T... That was so nasty. Everyone thought so and, even though I understand why he did it (yes, Kam is stronger than Big T) it was so disrespectful to Big T and, in that moment, I knew that the fight that Big T would have that was shown in the preview last week would be with CT and yes, it was indeed with CT, when he tried to apologize and it went terrible wrong and I bet Big T will would a grudge for all of it.

And well, when it comes to Darrell he stayed with Amber, which was the right thing to do in that moment. As for the other girls, because Kyle was along, he picked Nany (which was the girl he had in the beginning), then Cory picked Gabby and, lastly, Nam was paired with Big T which, again, I think was a good choice. However, Big T is really out of luck because, later on, we find out that Nam has been having back issues (he said that a couple of times in past episodes but they never really focused a lot on that) and, after going to the hospital, and as they're about to go on the week's challenge it is revealed that Nam isn't capable of staying in the game so we goes home and, just like that, Big T is a rogue agents and can't even compete in the challenge nor go into elimination and get her gold skull. (But, we do know that she goes in so... I'm hopeful).

Most of this episode is filled with drama, to be fair, and that challenge of the week only appears in the end of the episode and we only see a tiny little bit of that Saw like challenge and that's it, we will have to wait for the next episode to see the rest of it. And, I get it that they're trying to get the 'original time-line' back of challenge, nomination, elimination but it was a bit boring to have like 30 minutes of nothing but.. Okay, I wasn't that mad this time. And the Next On doesn't give us much either, just something about Aneesa?! I have no idea so there's no predictions from me this time. I know, shocking. I just guess that both Gabby and Nany will go into elimination?! It really depends on who wins the challenge and what they're thinking of but, as of now, I think both girls without a skull will go into elimination. We'll see...

Post that, let me know what you thought about this episode. Did you agree with what CT did? Or are you on Big T's side? Who do you think goes into elimination next week? Let me know everything and I'll see you next week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 1 - "All's Well That Ends Wells"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

So The Flash is back with a new season and I know I'm a bit late with this post but I've just been busy. Also... I'm gonna have to be honest with you... This is just the same old thing that was last season. And I know... The pandemic screwed some things and so they had to cut last season short and this first episodes are the ones that should've aired last season but... It just doesn't work.

For once I was already over that whole plot from last season and, with all the time that they had not filming, couldn't they have come up with something else to wrap that story-line in this first episode and don't drag for 3 episodes?! I don't know, this whole thing just doesn't work for me. And then, there's this major event in this episode, that I'm just going to talk about right now, that I just didn't felt it as much as I would've - Wells' death. All Wells's deaths.

The thing with this "twist" is that it would've been so impactful last season. But because we've been away from the story so long. I didn't know what was going on and I just wanted to ease into a new story-line and, instead, they give us a major character's death. This is just really unfortunate. The only good thing coming out of this episode is really Grant Gustin playing all the Wells' when they were inside his head. Grant Gustin did an amazing job capturing the essence of every Wells that Tom Cavanagh put into each character and that is just amazing and I had so much fun watching those scenes. And well... Everything else in the episode was just boring.

I sort of liked the plot with Cecile and Rosa and how Cecile developed her powers, that was interesting but, the thing is, I didn't understand the point of that story.

Something else that really confused me was the whole particle thing that, I know was to make Barry have his speed back but... Again, this big break didn't help at all and just left me really confused the whole time. Oh, and don't even get me started on the whole Iris in the mirror-verse plot because... I just can't with that.

That whole plot is so annoying to me. Can't just Iris get out of that mirror already?! I can't take it anymore!! Oh, and I almost forgot - Ralph. Yeah... That didn't help on getting me to get invested on the whole story either. And, in case you don't know or don't remember what I'm talking about - Hartley Sawyer was fired from the show because of some tweets he posted years ago and I had a whole rant about that on twitter already but yeah... That pissed me off and it certainly doesn't make me more invested on this season, more like the other way around.

Well, I guess that's all I have to say about this first episode. I just want this story-line to end already.

Let me know what you thought of the episode and if you want another story as well and I'll talk to you very soon with a The Challenge rant!

Love,

Daniela.
