The Challenge: All Stars | Season 4 Episode 4 - "She's Back!"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello y'all!

Back with a new The Challenge: All Stars rant and, this one, wasn't as exciting as I thought it would be.

First of, that person that came in wasn't that big of a player (at least, not to me), the actual weekly challenge, although with some excitement, not as epic and I intended and lastly, the outcome of the elimination wasn't what I wanted so... Not a bad episode by any means, but as good as I thought it was going to be. Anyway, let's get into all those events - starting with the person that arrived.

So, the girl that came to fill in either Jemmye or Tina, was Beth. I only know Beth from one of the last All Stars seasons - I didn't see any of her original seasons on The Challenge - and from what I remember from her, I think she's a little bit annoying and isn't that great of a competitor so... I didn't really see her as a threat when she arrived. I guess I underestimated her because, fast forward to the elimination, she won against Kendal - who I believe is an amazing competitor (just not great at the political game).

As far the weekly challenge goes, it was funny to see Darrell not being able to compete because of his fear for heights, hence going straight into elimination, just like Beth - who also wasn't able to compete. As for everyone else, I was pretty happy with the Authority - Mark, Jonna, MJ, Brad, Kailah and Veronica. I'm not a big fan of either Kailah nor Veronica, but having Mark, Jonna and MJ in the Authority was enough for me. And their picks to go against Darrell and Beth were Jordan and Kendal, which I wasn't mad at either.

Lastly, the elimination... As I mentioned ealier, Beth did win against Kendal, which wasn't my desired outcome, and neither it was for the men round - which ended with Jordan winning. It was a bit furstrating actually because Darrell was winning, but then he started feeling a lot of pain on his legs and had to quit. And actually the medical team had to get there and send him to the hospital for how injured he was. But I guess it wasn't that bad - at least, that's what TJ said.

And that's it from me. The preview for the next episode doesn't looks so exciting but we'll see... They do say that there's a twist to the game so... Again, we'll see. I actually have no idea what this twist could be... Maybe turn it into a pairs game?! Or teams?! I seriously don't know but I'm curious.

With all of that said, let me know your thoughts on this episode and what do you think is the twist for the next one! I'll talk to you tomorrow with another rant!

Love,
Daniela.

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 15 - "Into the Still Force"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Oh, boy... I don't even know where to start with this one.

This episode was so boring! Boring and confusing! I got to be honest - this whole storyline about the Still Force really confuses me. I can understand the speed force, it makes sense, but the still force?! It's way too weird. And for the most part, I can just turn off my brain and go with, but it was impossible in this episode! Everything was about the Still Force and, as the name of the episode says, they went into the Still Force so everything was so confusing to me! Not only that, but I also think that story is pretty boring. I would rather see more of the Caitlin story which, they did give us something in this episode, but it wasn't enough. I'm not very hopefull for that either though... They went in a direction with Mark's character that, initially I liked, but then it felt like they regret what they did and just made him change his mind... I don't know, but I don't like it.

Anyway, as I said, in this episode, Barry goes into the Still Force after finding Iris missing and after going to Tinya for help but with no luck. Then, Deon shows up and tells Barry that Iris is lost in the Still Force and, of course, Barry goes after Iris.

I'm not going to get into much detail because, as I said, everything is really confusing to me but basically Deon betrays Barry and he gets stuck in the Still Force as well. Then, for some reason, Deon drags Nora from 2049 into the Still Force and, somehow, they figure out a way to get out of the Still Force. That's it for this storyline which didn't do anything for the overall plot...

Meanwhile, Kramer brings Chester to analyze a device from an explosion which Chester then figures out is based on some drawings that he came up with and shared online. That makes him start doubting what he his doing online but then he learns that it was made to help people and just went wrong.

The episode ends with Chester's computer being hacked and his files being download by someone.

As I said, not only this episode was confusing but it was also boring and didn't addd anything to the overall story. This is the definition of a filler episode and I'm afraid of what's to come for the remaining of this season - it looks like it's only getting worse.

But yeah, I guess that's it from me... Let me know what you thought of this episode and what are your predictions for the rest of the season and I'll talk to you next week with more rants!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 3 Episode 3 - "Treehouse of Horror"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Here I am with a brand new The Challenge rant and this was an exciting one!

For once a lot of stuff happened in terms of people leaving, but also both the weekly challenge and the elimination were pretty exciting and sort of physical! Oh, and the preview for next week - can't wait to talk about that! But first, let's talk about this episode.

As I said, a lot of stuff happened with people leaving the show. First of, Tina left after the weekly challenge because she was injured, and then Jemmye left because something was wrong with her dad and she decided to leave. This was huge not only because it was two players leaving but also because, as the name of the episode sugests, this episode was a lot focused on the "Treehouse Alliance" - which was made of Tina, Jemmye, Kailah, Sylvia, Veronica and Derrick - and with Tina and Jemmye leaving, the alliance was slowly loosing members. On top of that, Veronica was the last place out of the girls in the daily challenge which meant that there was a possibility of them loosing another member.

In terms of the actual daily challenge, first of, I need to talk about the sabotages. There was this whole thing in the preview last week about Kendal wanting to sabotage a guy and... yes, she indeed sabotaged a guy - MJ! That really came out of nowhere and, not only because of that but also, made MJ loose the daily and go into elimination (alongside Veronica). As for who Yes decided to sabotage - it was pretty obvious, it was Wes.

Anyway, in the end The Authority was made of Brad, Derrick Jonna, Jordan, Kailah and Sylvia which... is sort of bittersweet. I don't really know how I feel about all this younger players running this new season. It's almost like Kendal said in the episode... This used to be a happy house where everyone was friends with eachother and this season there's a lot of drama and strategy. That does make for a better and more interesting season but... I don't know... I sort of liked the vibe of The Challenge: All Stars and how it felt different from the main season of The Challenge.

But back to the game... It's time for the Authority to pick two people to go against MJ and Veronica and, having in mind that there's three members of the Treehouse in the Authority, they basically ran this show, picking Kendal and Syrus. Choosing Syrus was interesting though because it was down that being the one that MJ wanted to go against but also because no one wanted to do what Wes wanted (which was to send in Yes) - which is funny to me.

As for the elimination... Well, yet again, there was no female elimination. Considering that two people had already left, they decided to not do it and, on top of that, we see in the preview that they will bring in another player so... I'm curious to see who it is. Luckily, there was a male elimination and it was a really close one. Of course I was rooting for MJ and he did win in the end but Syrus almost beat him and, as much as I think Syrus is a nice guy, I like MJ better and I'm happy that he's still in the competition. I would really like to see him and Jonna win again - that would be awesome!

And that's basically it. As I said, the preview showed that they're bringing a new female player and the first person that came to my mind was Laurel but... I don't know... I would love to see Jamie Chung back in the challenge though... She's a big actress now so I don't know if that would be possible but it would be awesome! Also, the preview showed a really cool weekly challenge and they said it's a pretty banger elimination with two big dogs and a match that we've been waiting for so... Maybe it's Wes and Jordan?! Who knows, but it looks like it's going to be an epic episode and I'm excited!

Anyway, let me know all your thoughts and predictions - who do you think is the girl that is coming in? Who do you think it's in that elimination? Tell me everything and I'll see you pretty soon with another rant!

Love,
Daniela

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 14 - "Funeral for a Friend"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

I'm sorry I'm kind of late with this rant. I did plan on posting it the day after the episode aired but I had a lot on my plate when, honestly, when I didn't, I just felt like resting so... This took a while and I'm sorry for that. However, I do have some nice things to say about this episode!

As you could expect, after the events in the previous episode, this one was all dedicated to Frost. It actually got quite sad and I felt really sorry for basically all the characters! They did try to push some stuff that didn't really work for me, such as Allegra and Chester's relationship (which have been hinting at for so damn long) and how they were fighting because they were trying to mask their sadness... That was a bit much but everything else felt really believable to me - mostly Barry, Mark and obviously Caitlin.

There's a small villain that is introduced in this episode, but that's basically just to show that Team Flash is really struggling to the point that they can't focus and aren't able to work together and catch this new villain.

Something really touching about this episode was Barry's part on all of this - he decided to complete every item of Frost's bucket list which, for Barry, it was quite easy to do most of them. Still, it was interesting to see not only what she wanted to do but also Barry going through all of it as well as all the emotions.

Caitlin's part in the episode though was the hardest one to watch. They decided to use a Billie Eilish song during a montage of Caitlin just packing Frost's stuff and that was so sad! Also, Caitlin is refusing to go to Frost's funeral because that will make things more real and that was also so sad! Of course, in the end, she goes and gives a beautiful speech.

And lastly, the episode ends with a cliffhanger that it's not really a cliffhanger because I don't believe that will happen but, basically, Caitlin takes Mark to her apartment and tells him that she wants to bring Frost back to life! Oh, and there's also a little thing with Iris vanishing so... Now we have two things to deal with... Again!

As I said, this was a really touching episode and, because of that, I don't think they'll bring Frost back. They wouldn't have a whole episode dedicated to her to just bring her back two episodes later. What I do believe will happen is that Caitlin will get Frost's powers but either turn bad or get sick or something... Unfortunately, I think this is the end of Frost which is so sad! She was one of the few characters I still liked in the show... Oh well, at least Mark is still around - I really curious to see where they take his character.

Anyway, let me know what you think will happen to Caitlin and her plan to bring Frost back, and what do you think will happen to Iris and her storyline and I'll see you in my next rant (probably tomorrow)!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 3 Episode 2 - "You've Been Sabotaged!"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Okay, now we're talking about!

This is what I meant in my last rant when I said that I needed more and that last episode was anticlimatic. This one was able to be exciting without focusing too much on drama.

We did start though, right away, with Wes stiring the pot. Sylvia and him had to sabotage someone and, although Sylvia had some sort of "reason" why she chose Kellyanne (she was on the top 3 last challenge), Wes went purely with his strategy and sort of "vengence" - he picked Jordan. The funny thing about all of this is that it ended up backfiring.

I don't like Jordan either, so it's not like I'm happy with this outcome but I love a good karma moment because, even with the sabotage, Jordan ended up in the top 3. He didn't win, Yes did, but still - that's such a karma moment.

The actual challenge was also a fun one and, although Tina ended up disqualified, she gave us one of the funniest moments on The Challenge.

Anyway, as for the other winners The Authority was made of Kendal, Jonna, Kailah, Brad and Yes and Jordan as I mentioned before. And the guy that went straight to elimination was Laterrian.

Now, onto the Elimination... The Authority picked Melinda to go against Tina, which created drama right away, and chose Mark to go against Laterrian - which was super unexpected.

What was also sort of unexpected was that Melinda ended up not playing and just gave Tina the win because of an injury. Luckily, the guys round made up for it!

It was such an insane challenge - one of those that they have rope on their backs and have to get to a button and this challenges usually last HOURS, which was exactly what happened here. Mark had the lead, which I was happy about that, but Laterrian made a sudden move at the end that made me doubt Mark's win. He did win at the end (Mark) and I'm super happy with this outcome!

As for the next episode, the only interesting thing that was shown in the preview was that Kendal might pick a guy to sabotage, which is an interesting choice! The weekly challenge also seems cool (physical) so... I'm excited!

So, let me know your thoughts on this episode, as well as this season premiere as a whole (both episodes) and I'll see you tomorrow with a The Flash rant!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 3 Episode 1 - "An All Star is Born"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

That's right! The Challenge is back and in double dose because they released two episodes today. However, to make it easier for everyone, I'm going to make two separate posts - this being the first one.

This time around they had an actual "theme" for the cast - everyone in this season has been to a final. That's exciting but I'm afraid this may turn into the "normal" season of The Challenge. Not only they brought back a lot of younger players (they didn't have a ton of people to choose from) but they brought Wes back and, although that is exciting to "stir the pot" and mess with the game a little, it also breaks what The Challenge: All Stars has been so far. Not that this episode showed that, to be honest.

I found this episode pretty tamed and not really exciting. I'm not going to get into every single detail but the week's challenge was okay, but everyone played way too nice with eachother (and it wasn't a physical one), and the same happened in the elimination.

I guess the craziest thing that happened was Wes being the winner alongside Sylvia. Not only it's so annoying that Wes won but I was genuinely surprised that Sylvia won as well. I didn't even remember that she went to a final! Anyway... With that they were both save but I guess all the other four were as well because "The Authority" - composed by the first three places of both men and women (Wes, MJ, Yes, Sylvia, Veronica and Kellyanne) - were the ones to pick who was going into elimination against the bottom two (in this case Syrus and Cynthia). The only real advantage that the winners have is that they can sabotage any player in the next challenge, which is going to be interesting how that goes.

Fastforward to the elimination... The Authority picked Tyler and Tina, the ones that were last after the bottom two and things did pick up a bit, with Veronica being friends with Tina and still sending her into elimination, but that was pretty much it.

In both men and women's rounds they were too nice with eachother and, having in mind that the elimination was a "Crawl Brawl"... It was pretty underwhelming. In the end Tina won and Syrus won, which is a shame that Tyler went home because he always is the life of the party.

I guess the last interesting thing is that the winners of the elimination get a star and that will be good in the long run - as TJ said "the more stars you have, the better" so we'll see what that means.

There's still a lot of things to discover so let's hope the next episode picks up.

That's it from me for now. I'll see you in a bit with Episode 2!

Love,
Daniela

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 13 - "Death Falls"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Can you believe that I actually liked this episode?! That's right, this week's episode of The Flash was actually a good one... In a way... It had such a sad ending though!

Everything about this episode caught me off guard! Not only I wasn't expecting to like it this much and to be so into it, but I also didn't expect that ending! I'm just going to say it... They killed off Frost! Can you believe that?! I mean, a lot of people have been saying that Caitlin was going to die but I highly doubted that, and honestely I didn't see anyone dying this soon (not even Iris) let alone Frost of all people! On top of that, they had to make me like Frost even more in this episode - that whole thing with Mark was so cute!

Actually, this whole episode was a surprise - starting with the beginning. Remember that Eddie thing that happened at the end of last episode?! Well, turns out that was due to Deathstorm as well... We knew this whole episode would be about Deathstorm tricking Team Flash into seeing their dead loved ones but I actually never thought he would target Iris because she has been so out of the whole Deathstorm storyline... She has her own issues and I honestely thought Eddie appearing was due to her time sickness, but no... Deathstorm wanted Caitlin to get everyone's grief in order to speed the process to become his bride so he went after everyone - Allegra with Esperanza, Chuck with his dad, Barry with his mum and Iris with Eddie.

That then starts a whole thing with Frost, where Deathstorm tells her that no one appears to her because she's not a 'real person' and that she can't feel grief. Obviously we know that's not true and it's Mark who makes Frost see that. The reason why no one appears to her is because she has burried her grief so much and she hasn't let herself feel it. That's when she actually feels the grief and the sadness about this whole situation with Caitlin that's when Frost becomes Hellfrost! (People mocked that name but I actually liked it).

Post that, they lure Deathstorm and Hellfrost manages to defeat Deathstorm and absorb his grief. It looked way too easy to me and I was kind of bummed that Deathstorm wasn't the villain for the remaining of the season but, as people told me on twitter, they're addapting three graphic novels in this season and this is the end of the second one so... I guess it makes sense. Still, I wanted more out of this villain - one of the best The Flash has ever had!

Anyway, the only thing left to happen is... Frost's actual death... She passes out after the fight with Deathstorm and Barry takes her to STAR Labs but they can't do anything and she ends up dying. Caitlin and Barry let the remaining of Team Flash know and they all break down in grief (Caitlin's reaction was actually so sad... I felt that!).

In hindsight, I guess it makes sense that, after all this storyline about grief, that someone actually dies... I just didn't want it to be Frost. I didn't want it to be Caitlin either so... I don't know... It's just really sad...

Well, let me know what you thought of this episode. Where you surprised with the outcome? Where you expecting Frost's death? How do you feel about the Deathstorm storyline coming to an end? Tell me everything and I'll see you in my next rant!

Love,
Daniela
