The Challenge: Ride or Dies | Season 38 Episode 16 - "Friends or Froze"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Back with a new The Challenge rant and, honestly, this episode couldn't have gone better! I mean, it could have, if my favourite Team had won and hadn't gone into elimination, but considering everything, everything worked out perfectly!

So, I'm gonna go straight into it and say that I was right about my predictions - as far as the daily challenge goes Devin and Tori did win and, I know I'm getting way ahead in the episode but yes, Bananas and Nany did go into elimination as well. It didn't happen as I thought it would happen though...

There's not much to say when it comes to the daily challenge. It was a pretty straightforward challenge and Devin and Tori won pretty easy. Then, when it was time for the Deliberation and Interrogation it was pretty clear that they would try to save Aneesa and Jordan, therefore, the next best move would be to sort of make a deal with Olivia and Horacio so they would save Jordan and Aneesa if they got the SAFE dagger, and vice versa. That left them with either Bananas and Nany, which was the team and Devin wanted to put into elimination, or Fessy and Moriah, which was the team and Tori wanted to send into elimination. Both team were a good choice (although, obviously, I didn't want Bananas to go in) - Bananas is a seven times champion and Fessy is, overall, the 'strogest' guy (when it comes to actual strenght). Well, they didn't particularly say it was because of that but, in my opinion, it all came down to Bananas and Devin being close this season and the fact that, sending Bananas and Nany into elimination would only make them angry at Devin and Tori and possibly hurt them later or even on future seasons, so they went with Fessy and Moriah, which I was pretty happy about. However, them saving Bananas didn't do much to actually save him/them, because Olivia and Horacio were the ones to take the SAFE dagger and, obviously they saved Jordan and Aneesa. So here it is, the elimination that everyone wanted - Fessy vs Bananas. Unfortunately for Fessy this wasn't a physical elimination and guess what?! He s*cked at it!

I don't want to sound mean but as soon as I saw that elimination I knew Fessy wouldn't be able to finish it. He's way too heavy for that rope and, obviously, I'm really happy that Bananas won! This also sort of shows that yes, this might be Bananas and Nany's season to win, and this might also mean that there's some shady business going on behind closed doors but heck, I don't care! I like Bananas and I want him to win again! Although, just like I saw everyone mention, this season I will be happy with either Team winning. Obviously, as I said, Bananas is my main guy, but I also like Devin and I would like to see him win as well, I also think Aneesa totally deserves that win and lastly, the rookies of the year, it would be crazy if Olivia and Horacio won and I would totally be so happy for them so, whatever happens, this will be a great season finale!

With saying that, the final is, indeed, in the next episode, however, it will be a 100 hours final and, because of that, it will be separated into three episodes so there's still three episodes to go plus the Reunion, so let's see what happens! The preview for the final looks insane, with Horacio crying and someone bleeding really hard so I'm really looking forward to it!

But that's it for this episode! Let me know what you thought of this epic (sort of) elimination - are you happy that Fessy finaly went home? What do you think of this final four pairs? Tell me everything in the comments and I'll talk to you on the next episode - the final!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Ride or Dies | Season 38 Episode 15 - "Knot a Problem"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

It's time for a new The Challenge rant and... So much happened in this episode!

If you remember, last episode ended with Fessy and Moriah being saved (winning the elimination) and Jordan and Aneesa, and Kaycee and Kenny going into the next round of the elimination - which was that challenge where they have to tie knots and then untie them. So that's exactly where this episode started.

I'm not a huge fan of Jordan but I have to give him credit, honestly. Not only he went to four eliminations almost straight one after another (spoiler for the end of the episode) but he really is super smart and good at the game overal! Him and Aneesa almost didn't get it, to be honest, but again, their experience payed off and, not only that, but also Jordan believing and pushing for Aneesa really helped. And well, needless to say that they won and sent Kaycee and Kenny home (which left Nany devastated, obviously).

Moving on to the actual daily challenge, it was that one with the balls inside a bus and it was pretty funny to see some pairs really struggling. Ultimately, it was between Nany and Bananas, and Horacio and Olivia (needless to say who I wanted).

Well, I did get my wish and Bananas and Nany won (it really looks like this is their season to win) and, this time, they only saved one Team and Interrogated the rest and sent one straight into elimination (the remaining ones would go to the Draw).

How everything happened in this Interrogation was really weird.

First, Bananas and Nany decided to save Fessy and Moriah. It sort of made sense with Bananas having a thing with Moriah and with what Nany explained about how the other teams would play if they were in their position, but it was still weird.

Second, Amber and Chauncey decided to nominate themselves, which I sort of understand but I don't really get why they thought they had no chance at being saved at the Draw. Clearly Tori and Aneesa would save eachother, but what about Horacio and Olivia?! I mean... Bananas and Nany wouldn't throw Tori/Devin and Jordan/Aneesa so... I kind of get it. What I don't get is why everyone thought this was a move from Amber?! I honestly really thought she just wanted to control the game but okay...

So Bananas and Nany really decide to send Amber and Chauncey as the direct vote and then came the draw.

As I mentioned before, Tori and Aneesa's decision was pretty obvious so, of course, Horacio and Olivia took the SAFE dagger! I was actually pretty happy with that and then I was so surprised with who they decided to save - Tori and Devin! One would thing that because of Horacio and Jordan's relationship they would save Jordan and Aneesa but no... And there goes Jordan into his fourth elimination in a row.

This one was a new version of the "Banana Backpack" and poor Amber... She really gave her all, but Aneesa has the weight and the experience, so she obviously won the first round. The second round, however, Chauncey had more of a shot and he almost got it but again, ultimately, Jordan's experience and strategy won and so Amber and Chauncey went home.

I gotta be honest, I was rooting for Amber and Chauncey, mostly because they were the underdogs, but I'm obviously happy that Aneesa still has a shot at winning this Season (I do want Bananas to win, but Aneesa also deserves it).

And that's pretty much it. We are so close to the final, but it's not the next episode yet. The next one though, looks interesting and, from the preview, I'm predicting that Devin and Tori win and most likely Bananas goes into elimination. Let me know your predictions and thoughts on this episode and I'll talk to you next week.

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Ride or Dies | Season 38 Episode 14 - "Terrorist of Love"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Back with a brand new episode of The Challenge and we have a lot to discuss!

From last week's preview we knew something big was going to happen and well... Something big did happen, it just wasn't what we thought it was going to be.

Unlike most episodes, this one didn't spend any time on 'drama' and their parties and whatnot. We did see a little bit of it in the beginning but really just a tiny bit and they moved on pretty quickly to the weekly challenge, which was right away indication that there was a lot more to come!

When it comes to the weekly challenge, we already knew from the preview that it was going to involve heights and that Chauncey was really scared. Well, turns out, here really didn't do it, therefore, because this was a pairs challenge, Aneesa didn't do it either, because she was paired with him.

Something else that happened that was a little bit unfair was the fact that this challenge wasn't a timed event. Unlike the previews challenges, in this one, the Team with the fastest pair to do the challenge would win, so right away, Team Moriah/Jordan was in disadvantage because they had less people so they had less chances to try and do it faster. And ultimately, Team Fessy won... Unfortunately. Leaving Team Jordan to go into elimination once again. And the worst thing about this one was that they were already down a guy so loosing another one would mean that this Team would become a Four Players Team.

The Deliberation was also pretty quickly, as was the Interrogation and they moved on right away to the Elimination. Regardless of the outcome, this would turn out to be an epic elimination, and when they saw what the elimination was... Yes, we were in for something big.

Honestly, the votes were torn between Jordan and Horacion - Tori being the deciding vote, adding more drama to the whole Jordan/Tori thing. In the end, Tori voted for Horacio and so Horacio was the direct vote. Then, Devin got so lucky once again and he took out the SAFE dagger. So Horacio vs Jordan it was. And because the elimination was a classic - Balls In - we were definitely in for a treat! But we surely weren't ready for what that elimination turned out to be!

I don't know if it was because they were friends or if it was because of the whole thing with Tori but I felt like Jordan didn't give his all. Not that I minded that, honestly. And I'm not trying to deminish Horacio because he was amazing and yes, he defeated Jordan and that was so impressive! Who would have thought that a rookie would send Jordan home, huh?! Well, he wasn't really sent home, to be honest, and that's when the next surprising part of the episode comes in.

We thought there would be a double elimination or something which, technically, there was, but before that, TJ went to the house and told everyone to get ready and go to The Zone. There, he ended the whole Teams thing and told everyone to get back to their original Ride or Dies, leaving Aneesa, Fessy and Kaycee without partners. TJ makes it look like, because they don't have a partner anymore, that they're going home, but we know the eliminated Ride or Dies have just been waiting to get back into the house and that's when TJ reveals that to everyone. Basically Jordan was out of there for just a day or two, but that's fine. However, not all of them are staying in the game, and that's when the triple elimination comes into play.

First, all fo them play and the first one to win this round stays in the game. Unfortunately, the only team that I wanted to go home won - Fessy and Moriah. I don't mind Moriah, honestly, but I just can't stand Fessy and I just want him to go home. I guess not yet. And unfortunately as well, the episode ends here, without knowing who else stays in the game, Aneesa and Jordan or Kaycee and Kenny. And as much as I dislike Jordan and I sort of wanted Kenny, the underdog, to stay in the game, I am indeed rooting for Jordan and Aneesa - mainly for Aneesa. I seriously hope they can make it! Aneesa deserves to, at least, go to that final!

But I guess that's pretty much it from me for this episode. This was a good one! Non stop 'action' and something so unpredictable happening - Horacio sending Jordan home (not for long though). And no matter what the outcome of this second elimination is, the daily challenge of the next episode looks like something fun and I'm just excited to see them back with their original pairs.

Well, that's it from me. Let me know what you thought of this episode and who do you want to stay in the game? Aneesa and Jordan? Or Kaycee and Kenny? Tell me everything in the comments and I'll talk to you in my next rant!

Love,
Daniela.

The Challenge: Ride or Dies | Season 38 Episode 13 - "Blind Faith"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Back with a new The Challenge rant! Unfortunately, this was another of those cases where I came across some spoilers before watching the episode so I sort of got it a little bit ruined for me (I swear, I need to stop following the show on social media). But still, The Challenge is The Challenge it is never boring to me! Actually, this week's daily challenge was super cool! Even better than what I thought it would be, so that's saying a lot! And honestly I hoped what little information I saw was wrong because I actually thought Moriah's Team had a shot at winning again and... They almost win... They just didn't because of one little (big) thing - they helped Fessy on the eating challenge! I swear, that was the downfall of the Yellow Team!

But, let's rewind a little bit and set the rules for this week's challenge... This was a challenge that was divided in four rounds and in each round they would have to pick someone from their Team to go ahead and 'represent' them in that particular 'little challenge'. They would pick based on a symbol that would give them an idea of what the challenge would be. First was straight away Jordan, who decided to go in because it was a target and he's pretty good at that (turns out, Devin is the one good at being a spotter, but I'll get into that) and Fessy decided to go in because he wanted to go against Jordan - the thing is, this was also an eating challenge and we all know how Fessy is with eating challengers. However, Jordan wasn't great either and that's when Devin comes it. Honestly, Devin is the real MVP here because he's the reason why both of them (Jordan and Fessy) were able to finish that challenge, and that's also what made the Yellow Team loose in the end. They had such a great lead and, because of that, and because Jordan felt sympathetic towards Fessy, they told Devin to help Fessy - aka help the other team. I get it - they had a pretty good lead, but I would never help them with the two shots. I would help with one and then it was up to Fessy. The Yellow Team had a pretty good lead for all the other challenges until the very last one, which was Chauncey and Kaycee against Moriah and Jordan once again, in a speed/endurance challenge and, at the end, Jordan and Moriah run out of leading time and the Pink Team won. Seriously, what makes this whole thing so annoying is the fact that they basically helped the other Team win because, honestly, if it wasn't for Devin helping them, I'm pretty sure the Yellow Team would have one. But it is what it is and so two of the three girls had to go into elimination. Obviously I already knew who was going in beforehand but again, I was hopeful that I saw it wrong. But no...

Honestly, there's not much to say about that elimination. The direct vote was Moriah, which was pretty obvious, to be honest, and then it was between Nany and Amber and Amber took out the SAFE dagger so... Moriah vs Nany it is!

I was indeed rooting for Moriah - not only because I'm not a huge fan of Nany, but also because Moriah is a rookie and I would love for her to rub in Fessy's face that she doesn't need him to win. Unfortunately, Moriah made a spelling error and she was the one to go home... But, because there's that twist, she's obviously still in the game. Unfortunately, in order for her to come back, Fessy has to stay in the game and I just can't with that so... Moriah, I'm sorry but I hope you don't come back.

Anyway... The next episode looks like it will have a ton of things going on! It's supposed to be a male elimination week but is it?! From the preview it looks like it will be a double elimination and it looks like everyone's going in (aka both teams) but there's still a daily challenge so... I'm sort of confused. Still, it looks like it will be really exciting so I can't wait!

Well, that's it from me for this week's episode. Let me know your thoughts on it - Would you have helped Fessy as well? Who were you rooting for in that elimination? And what are your predictions for the next episode? Tell me everything in the comments and I'll talk to you in my next rant!

Love,
Daniela.
