The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 8 - "(You Drive Me) Crazy"

Hello everyone!

Back with one more The Challenge: All Stars rant and we're so close to the final! Unfortunately, the outcome of this episode wasn't the desired one - at least, not for me.

The episode actually started out great! I mean, they recapped the whole thing from the previous one that I still think it's so unfair, but once they moved to the actual challenge, I was pretty invested!!

This week's challenge was a mini final, and those are always exciting! I was even more excited because they highlighted Jonna and MJ a lot, and we already know what that means - it either means that they're going into elimination or that they win, and this time I had a feeling they were going to do good in that challenge and I was right! I was really happy that Jonna and MJ won! Not only they are part of the alliance that I like but they're also the least problematic out of the teams from that alliance. Also, they sort of are the underdogs of that alliance and that have never won (at least, I'm pretty sure Jonna haven't). On top of that, a team from the King's Palace alliance were the loosing team so everything was going the right way. It was Jasmine and Laterrian though, and Jasmine is friends with Jonna but... Oh well... I was still rooting for them in the elimination though...

After that, the nominations were pretty easy, with MJ and Jonna picking the remaining two teams of the King's Palace (even though they almost nominated Jodi and Brad) and then the house picked Nehemiah and Melinda, which was the team that I also wanted to go in. Again, Nehemiah is the head of the alliance, so it made sense for him to go, but also I felt like Jasmine could beat Melinda and maybe not Ayanna so... That was my thinking. However, the elimination was in pairs and it had nothing physical in it so... Maybe Ayanna and Teck were a better choice because, unfortunately, Laterrian and Jasmine lost.

It was really bittersweet because it's another team from the King's Palace to go home but, on the other hand, Nehemiah and Melinda got the life-shield, which means that they're going straight to the final no matter what.

Honestly, there's not a lot of teams that I really like left. I do like Jodi and I wouldn't be mad if Jodi and Brad won, same goes for Darrell and Janelle, but to be honest, I think the team that I really want to win is Jonna and MJ so... Let's hope everything works out well.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 7 - "Save the Palace"

Hello people!!

I know, I know... Late as usual, but it's the holidays so I think you understand. Also, to be honest, I'm not that mad that I only watched this now because this episode was really lame and just not fair at all!

Actually, the episode started out pretty great. Now the competition was starting in terms of the new rules but it quickly became obvious what was going to happen and, to be honest, just went downhill with it's events.

The daily challenge was pretty cool, with them hanging on a monster truck and grabbing flags. However, I think they should have done it with points instead of just the number of flags you get. They had red, blue and green flags so they should've had points for each color and that would make it so much more interesting and mysterious as well. But no, and so in the end, Jodi and Brad won, which I was happy about and the last pair was Jasmine and Laterrian, but because they had the life-shield, they were safe and so the next on the line were Teck and Ayanna, so they went straight into elimination. 

This whole thing is turning into two teams, with two different alliances, and luckily my favorite one - the one with Brad and Darrell and Jonna - had an advantage here and, even though Nehemiah and Brad are friends outside the game, they are in different alliances here so Brad and Jodi nominated Nehemiah and Melissa, and Cohutta and Casey, just because they had to but they had the numbers to vote in Nehemiah and Melissa. However, they weren't counting with something... Plot twist - Casey finds out she's pregnant! Still, things play out as usual, and the house does vote in Nehemiah and Melissa but, when they get to the lair, they are faces with another plot twist!

Here is the thing that pisses me off the most about this episode - there was no elimination and both teams that were going in stayed in the game. Still, one team went home - Casey and Cohutta. I totally get Casey going home, but Cohutta?! It's so unfair! They should have had a male only elimination, just like they had in the previous episode, and then woman without a partner would be paired with Cohutta. But no - TJ said that they were a team so they were going home as a team. Super unfair!

And that was it, to be honest. Not only there was no elimination but someone that didn't deserve it went home... But let me know your thoughts on this whole thing - I would love to know your take on this 'elimination'.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 20 - "Reunion Special"

Hello people and Merry Christmas!

Yes, I am writing this on Christmas Eve. It was really tricky and I wasn't able to watch this the day it came out so here I am, on Christmas Eve, watching the Reunion and writing on the blog. (As for the All Stars season, you might have to wait a little longer for that one).

Well, the good thing is that I don't really have much to say about this episode. There wasn't really anything new revealed, just some hook ups and yeah... It was a pretty boring Reunion. They barely talked about the winners!

Overall, I would say that the main talk of the episode was Fessy, unfortunately. We were really able to see what a sh*tty person he is - game wise, friend wise and boyfriend wise - and that just solidified my dislike for him. And not just him, but the whole Big Brother Alliance just need a break. They addressed the whole thing with Amber and it's sad to see that they just don't like her and come up with excuses to the way they treat her and just make her believe that it's her fault. It's really sad. She really needs to get over them because they don't care for her like at all!

The other main "character"of the Reunion was Amanda and, again, it's just sad. Just like Tori said, Amanda just thrives on negativity and all she has to say about anyone and everyone is bad things. And I truly believe Tori would make amends with her - not be friends with, but be okay - but it's clear that Amanda doesn't want that so... Too bad... She and Fessy really are made for each-other though... But I guess that's pretty much it for the Reunion. Just a recap from the events that didn't really have much else to explain and some hook ups.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 19 - "The Decision"

Hey!

It's final time baby!

Unfortunately, I saw some spoilers before I watched the episode so I already knew who was going to win. I mean, I knew the male winner - I didn't even know it would be a pair winner! But, apart from that, I basically predicted everything. Well, Orange Team didn't win the second leg of the final, which really was a bummer, but I was right about Kyle winning against Nelson. Which I was so happy about.

You already know by now that I really like Kyle and I truly think he's super underrated! Heck, he came second in a final 3 times! He has to win an upcoming season because he so deserves it!

But yeah, rewinding a bit, the Orange Team lost which meant they had to face each-other in an elimination, and everything went as I wanted/thought it would - Kaycee and Kyle won. But they really dragged out that female elimination. And it almost got me! I felt kinda bad for them (Kaycee and Nany) but I really think Nany didn't deserve to be in that final. And to think that Kaycee wanted to give her win to Nany! She freaking won in the end! Thank god she didn't throw the elimination.

Anyway, but because we're already on that note, let's talk about the winners!

So they had to then make pairs (as I predicted) but they didn't change in each checkpoint not it came down to time - no, it was who finished first would win - and those two were Kaycee and CT. They do deserve it, but Tori and Kyle were so close! I really wanted Kyle to win this one! And then Devin and Emy were third. Expected, but Devin still left us speechless with him memorizing that 20 digit number in the end! Impressive, really!

And, to finish it all - a twist! The winners would decide how much money the 2nd and 3rd place would get, if any! CT and Kaycee, being good people, they gave 100k to each pair, so 50k to everyone (apart from themselves). And that was it.

This was such a wholesome final and, although it didn't end exactly as I wanted to, I'm still happy with how it turned out.

Next week the Reunion and that is going to ruin this wholesome final, but oh well... We also love a good drama.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 6 - "A Whole New World"

Hello!

Coming a little later than usual but yesterday was my birthday and, although I did watch the challenge episode (the main series), I didn't have the time to write. But, because I watched this one today, I decided to start with this one!

Finally they gave us a good episode! With good set up, a pretty good daily challenge and an amazing elimination! And, on top of that, TJ presented us with a twist!

So the daily challenge was a swimming one, with a puzzle, and it was in pairs. Everyone had a pretty good partner, to be honest, but someone had to lose - Tyler and Jasmine. I was kind of bummed because I liked both of them. As for the winners, it was Brad and Jodi - I like Jodi and I think she's strong. But that's not just it - there comes the twist. From now on, the game will be played in pairs and the pairs will be the ones they chose for this challenge. And as for the life-shield, the ones that have it now can save but only teams, not individuals, and that's when the alliances start thinking on a way to save themselves (Brad's alliance, in this case) and, of course, they throw in the people with this life-shields so they can't vote later. And in the end, they settle for Kendal/Laterrian and MJ/Jonna.

As for the votes, it works how they wanted to when the house picks Kendal/Laterrian. However, Kendal had an injury and, as they get into the Arena, we find out that Kendal had to leave and so Jasmine won't be playing and she's safe.

So it's just a guys elimination - Laterrian vs Tyler - and it's a good old Pole Wrestle. And oh boy, it was intense! Tyler really tried and endured a lot, but Laterrian won in the end and so him and Jasmine are now a pair and both have a life-shield (as a team).

And that's it for today! It was a pretty good episode and, for the first time this season, I'm actually pretty excited about the All Stars spin-off.

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 5 - "Armageddon, Part 5"

Here we are with the final part of the crossover and... it was a bummer... Compared to the last episode, this was pretty bad and, overall, it wasn't much better. 

The thing with this last part is that it felt really unnecessary. For once, I don't even know why they got Mia mixed with all of this (I guess it was a way to tie some loose ends from the canaries spin-off that never happened), and then, having Thawne almost die and not kill him once and for all was really a missed opportunity. I get it - they probably want to leave the door open for Tom to comeback for a finale or something but c'mon! They have recycled the Reverse Flash story-line so many times it was time to be over with it and I think that was their intent with this crossover, but it can't really be over until Thawne is dead. And then, finally, the worst thing about this episode was having Despero still around... There was no need for him to be 'the bad guy'... 

Basically, this last episode revolved around Thawne being erased from the timeline and Team Flash debating if they should or shouldn't save him. Yes, it was way too much time for that simple story-line. And a lot of things came out of nowhere, such as Caitlin's hatred for Thawne. I do understand where she's coming from, but it looked like it came out of nowhere. And she was basically the one to push everyone into letting Thawne die. As they were all agreeing on that, Joe throws a tantrum and says Barry isn't a hero if he let's Thawne die and that kind of pissed me off, to be honest. And well, in the end, they decide to not kill him. However, Despero still thinks he needs to die in order for Armageddon not to happen (even if their plan - removing Thawne's speed - would prevent it from happening anyway). 

So, Despero mind controls Mia, who attacks Team Flash and, as per usual, they use their words to get her to get back to herself and... Yeah, really boring stuff. In the end, Barry drains Thawne's speed and sends him to ARGUS.

And, in order to tie some more loose ends, Iris informs Mia of an organization who may be responsible for Williams' capture (what we saw in the Canaries Pilot). We also see Damian Darhk giving Joe his Time Stone before he disappears and is replaced by his daughter Nora. The episode ends with the timeline changing and Bart and Nora Allen appearing in a CCPD photograph from 2014.

As you can see, pretty boring stuff. It really feels like they were trying to fit in Mia in this crossover and it didn't really work because she was pointless here. Everyone else, even though a few people here in for just a few minutes, I can understand and they make sense, but not Mia. Plus, it really felt like the 'Armageddon' story-line was done last episode and this was really a stretch.

Anyway, new episodes are back in 2022 so, in the meantime, let me know what you thought of this episode as well as this crossover overall and I'll see you in my next rant!

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 5 - "Old Tina Can't Come to the Phone"

Hello everyone!

So, one more The Challenge rant but, this time, the All Stars season.

Well, I maintain my opinion - the main series is better than this one. Maybe it's the fact that I'm not that attached to this players but I just know that I get way more invested in the main show. However, I do have to agree on something - the daily challenges here are way more interesting. But, on the flip side, the eliminations are crap! Not only people don't really try that hard (like it happened in this episode) but also they're just too easy and end pretty quickly. The eliminations on the main season are harder and more physical and, let's be honest, that is the main reason why we watch the show. But I'm over with my rant - let's talk about specifics.

As per usual, we get a bit of a backstory of a few people before the daily challenge, and this time we learned about Melinda and her miscarriage. Of course this was a set up for what was to come.

We also saw a bit more of those two alliances and what they were planning for the daily challenge.

In terms of the actual challenge, this was an individual one, which is what I prefer, and it actually looked pretty hard. To the point where Casey just gave up and Melinda had to quit because she wasn't feeling well. And because of that, I have a few thoughts. 1) I felt really bad for Melinda because she couldn't really do much and she ended up losing and going straight into elimination. And 2) Casey should have been the one going straight to elimination because she simply quit! And the worst part is that she wasn't even the house vote either! Don't get me wrong, I actually like Casey, but she gave up so she should have been the one down there. Instead, it was Melinda against Tina (for the girls).

As for the guys, Steve was disqualified because he didn't follow the rules, so he went straight into elimination and, in the end, after Darrell and Jodi (the winners of the challenge) picked their four nominees (Toni, Casey, Teck and Tyler) the house chose Teck to go against Steve. And, just like that, Nehemiah's alliance was basically all going against each-other.

When it comes to the elimination itself, there's something that bothered me.

The guys round was actually pretty good and even ended up being a bit physical when it didn't need to be and, in the end, Teck won which, I guess I was happy with. I wasn't necessarily rooting for any of them, but because Teck is the skinny dude, I tend to be rooting a little bit for the underdog and, in this case, it was Teck, so I guess I'm happy with the result. I'm also happy with the girls' result, but that was just a joke. Tina didn't even try and, although she had a fair explanation for why she didn't do it, I just hate when people don't play the game. I get it, you were become someone you didn't want to become but c'mon! You knew what you were getting yourself into when you accepted to go to the show! Also, you could have just faked it and give the win to Melinda anyway without just standing still in the middle of the arena. Anyway, that's just my opinion...

In the end, I guess I was happy with the results but again, this elimination was pretty meh and not exciting at all. Still waiting for a physical and exciting elimination.

The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 18 - "Night of Mistakes"

Hello people!

One more The Challenge rant and this was an exciting one! I have so many things to comment on and to predict so, let's get to it!

This episode sort of followed the same structure but backwards. We started with a double elimination, moved to some "drama" and then The Final! But rewinding to the beginning of the episode, we had an epic elimination! First of - the girls!!

TJ completely changed things up and now everyone picks one girl and no one is safe. Then, that girl picks her opponent. This first round (girls) was between Amanda and Tori, but it ended up being Amanda the chosen one. However, Tori went in anyway because Amanda picked her - without knowing the game. It ended up being physical, so she really made a mistake. I guess we can all agree that Amanda should've picked Nany. Not only I think Nany really doesn't deserve to be there but also she had the best chances of winning. And after seeing her put a fight against Tori, I'm 90% sure she would beat Nany. But no... Tori kicked her ass and Amanda went home. I can't say I'm sad with that because I'm not a fan of Amanda, but I gotta be honest - she wasn't as annoying this season, I'll give her that. Now, for the guys...

The guys round was really unfortunate. They did the same thing - voting and stuff - but there were more votes for different guys. But in the end, Emanuel was the one they picked and I felt really bad for him. He ad just won an elimination! Poor guy! At least, he made the apparent right choice and picked Devin. Unfortunately, the game wasn't the same as the one the girls did and this one was puzzles so... Really not smart choice. Emanuel actually was ahead of Devin in the beginning, but then he got stuck and Tori tried to help him and everyone started being against Tori and... I get it! She didn't want either of them to go home, so I get it. But one of them had to and it was Emanuel. Again, I felt like he shouldn't have been there but, at the same time, I also got into Devin this season so... I was happy with the outcome, I guess. And just like that, they're going to the final!

The first part of the final looked sort of easy - puzzle, run to the helicopter, jump into the water, swim, run up a mountain, another puzzle and the final twist - teams again!

I guess this first part of the final was mainly for that - for them to have a taste of the final and pick their new teams. And with this, the new teams look like this - Purple Team is Devin, CT, Tori and Emmy; Orange Team is Kyle, Nelson, Nany and Kaycee. Needless to say, I'm rooting for Orange purely for Kyle. Kyle really is the only person I'm actually rooting for. All the others are okay, apart from Nany - I really think she doesn't deserve to e there.

And with this, let's get to my predictions.

Based on the preview and based on my intuition, I actually thing the Orange Team will win this second leg of the final. The Purple Team does look more stacked, but that doesn't necessarily mean better, and you remember what happened when CT and Kam paired up? They didn't work well together. Plus, it looks like this second part will mainly be endurance and Devin isn't that good, while in the Orange Team it looks like they all are on the same level so, I really think Orange will win. And what happens then? Well, based on what TJ said, it looks like the losing Team will face each-other, like the two girls will fight each-other and the same for the guys (and if it goes as I'm thinking, it will be Tori vs Emmy and Devin vs CT). The good thing is, if Orange looses, Kyle has a shot at beating Nelson so... That's nice, I guess.

And from there on I think they're going to do what they usually do in finals - pairs, with them switching in between checkpoints and, in the end, it comes to time. I really hope it comes to time because, to me, that's way more interesting. But yeah, that's it for my predictions.

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 4 - "Armageddon, Part 4"

Hello people!

One more episode of The Flash's crossover and, can you believe?! I actually really enjoyed this episode! I haven't been this excited about an episode of The Flash for so long so this was great! And you know why this episode was great? Because it focused on Barry and no one else! Of course there were other story-lines but, for the most part, it was about Barry and that's what the show should be most of the time!

Also, this was really a surprise because I caught myself rooting for someone that I used to despise - Damian Darhk! This episode also had a lot of Damian Darhk, but I'm not mad at that. It made sense with the story! And since we're talking about the story, let's get to the events of the episode.

This episode started right where the last one ended. Actually, it re-winded a bit and showed us the events before Barry arrives in the future. Most of it was just to set up characters and see where everyone is in this different timeline.

Then, we see a fight between Barry and Thawne (now the Flash), which ends with Thawne explaining what happened - in order to defeat the Flash, he went back in time and changed who is hit by lightning and who becomes the Flash. So in this new timeline Thawne is the Flash and Barry is the Reverse Flash. Everything is basically the same, even with Iris dating the Flash, who is now Thawne. It was super weird and creepy but also such a different and interesting dynamic. But this is not the end of what Thawne did - Thawne also went back in time and killed Barry as a baby, so Barry is running out of time before he is erased permanently from the timeline. It sort of doesn't make sense, to be honest, but let's just roll with it.

So Barry is lost and that's when he gets the idea, while watching the news, to reach out to Damian Darhk for help since, in this timeline, their partners in crime.

It worked in the beginning but, as you can imagine, Darhk figured out that Barry isn't really the Barry from this timeline and so he tries to kill him. That's when Barry let's him know about how Nora is alive in his timeline and so, in order to get his daughter back (even thought that means he will die) Damian Darhk agrees to help Barry create a portal to get back to his timeline and change things. That's when they realize that, in doing so, that's when Barry creates Armageddon, so they work on a plan so Barry has to reach the desired speed in a shorter time. It does work in the end, but from what I understood, Armageddon happens anyway, but because Thawne was running after Barry, so the both of them running is what created Armageddon. Smart!

Still, in the end, Barry is able to restore the timeline and yes, Joe is alive! Oh, and I completely forgot to mention - this was a proper crossover with Batwoman and Alex and Ryan Choi being actively part of the episode. But that's pretty much it.

Of course there's still one part and Thawne is going after Barry so...We'll what happens. Will this be the end of the Reverse Flash? I kind of was enjoying him right now so... I don't know how I feel about that, I just hope the next villain is a good one because I really feel like this will be the last The Flash episode. I might have enjoyed this episode and I liked a few so far this season, but I still think it's about time so I just hope they end with a bang.

The Sinner | Season 4 Episode 8 - "Part VIII"

Hello!

Here we are with the last episode of The Sinner! And what a sad episode!

When I thought there wasn't really anything major to discover, they hit us with another death.

I'm just gonna go straight to the point. There was indeed more that the Muldoons were hiding. But before I keep going, I need to correct myself on one thing that I said in the last post. I said that we didn't know who Valerie was but we do - it's the boat that they burnt in one of the previous episodes. I don't know how that slipped my mind but yeah... I just wanted to correct that.

So, there was indeed something bigger behind what happened to Percy. Who she was looking for wasn't really important - it's what she did in Colin's boat. We really assumed that Colin was molesting her or something but, turns out, it was a fight between Sean and Colin with Bo, the Lam's oldest son. Yeah, I didn't even remember him but turns out, he wasn't back in China. What really happened to her was that, while in that fight, in trying to stop it, Percy shot a gun and ended up killing him. And to protect her family, Meg gave the Lam's a fishing permit, which was something that they needed and they accepted it in order to protect CJ's future. It all seems unbelievable, but if you really think about, parents want the best for their children so they would do anything to protect them and ensure their future, so that's what both Meg and the Lam's did. They didn't tell CJ what really happened to Bo though, so he only found out in this episode.

I should also say that it was Sean who broke. I guess we all knew he was going to be the on to come clean. Just like with Percy, it was killing him inside, so he just told everything to Harry and later to the police.

The episode actually ends with Harry piecing everything together - Percy killing Bo, the numerous ways she tried to cope with her guilt (first going to CJ to try to come clean, then getting involved with drugs, leaving the island but not really being able to because she was haunted by Bo's spirit who she kept seeing but also her family following her, then going to Em for some spiritual guidance), the thing with Em that was the only thing that sort of worked but made her discover another secret - the human trafficking - that we find out happened because the business was bad after they gave the permit to the Lams, Percy tries to go to the police but her family stop her once again and so she no other way to get rid of her guilt. 

It's a super sad episode, not only because of what happened to Bo but also everything that Percy went through all because of her family. I even saw a comment say that all of this happened because of Meg's pride and selfishness in keeping the business, which is kinda true. It's just a sad story. The only good thing coming out of this was Harry finally finding another way out of his own grief.

Because this is the series finale, there has been a lot of speculation about what really happened to Harry in the end, and a lot of people are saying that he jumped. Personally, I think he lived and I would even go as far as saying that maybe he stayed in the island? I don't know... That hug with Lou was really touching and maybe Harry could be a consultant and help Lou... I felt like Harry was enjoying the island so my theory is that he stayed on the island.

But I guess that's it from me in terms of The Sinner. I'm kinda sad that the series is over but they ended on a good note so... I'm happy with this ending. Let me know what you thought of the ending, as well as the season overall, and I'll see you in my next rant!

The Sinner | Season 4 Episode 7 - "Part VII"

As per usual, I'm late with this rant, to the point that the last episode is out already. But I have to review this one before we get into the series finale so let's talk about episode 7.

We all knew that Colin and Sean were in on all of this and we were indeed right that it's illegal human trafficking. There's still a few more things to uncover because, clearly, Percy was looking for someone, but now the question remains? Is Valerie the person that Percy was looking for? Or is that woman someone else? If so, who's Valerie and what happened to her? But I'm getting ahead of myself so let's talk about what Harry discovered in this episode.

I really didn't trust Meg in the early episodes but, right now, I think she didn't know anything about what was happening. However, Harry felt differently and decided to leave her house. He went to the Lam Restaurant and there he spoke to Mrs. Lam who told him that Mike saw a group of men and women being hurriedly from one boat to another, just confirming Harry's theory. Turns out, Mrs. Lam does know of someone that makes fake IDs, but not because she needed one - it was actually an uncle, so I guess I was wrong there.

So she tells Harry about this person and, of course, he goes after him. Following the clues, Harry goes from this guy to Em who tells him about the owner of the boat that the ID guy saw. Em tells him that his name is Verne Novak and gives Harry his home address - a private island. Of course Harry goes there and, once he arrives, he sees Meg there. Leaving, actually. He enters the home and there a confrontation with Novak ensues where Harry ended up shooting Novak. He calls Lou, but Novak tells Harry that he can't trust the police.

In this, I'm pretty sure we all suspected the same person - Lou himself. He always seemed fishy to me. But, as per usual, I was wrong. 

Harry is taken to the police station and there he claims that Novak killed Brandon. They don't believe him and, when the police step away, Harry steals Novak's phone from the evidence area, calls one of the numbers and finds out that he dirty cop is actually Josh.

After that, we see a flashback where Percy visits Josh at the station, the night that she died, and tells him about her suspicions of human trafficking. He tells her that they have to go to Lou's house but instead, he tricks her and drives her to the Muldoon House, where she is given back to Colin and Sean. 

The episode ends with Harry confronting Meg and Meg cautioning him about looking into her family.

As I said, there's only one episode left so I don't think there will be a lot of new information but again, we need to find out who the woman that Percy was looking for is, where she is and who's Valerie. Also, we have to find out what really happened to Percy and who was there when she jumped. Well, it looks like, after all, there's still a few things left to uncover.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 2 Episode 4 - "New Divide"

Hey!

One more rant of The Challenge, but now, the All Stars seasons!

Well, I remain the same. I still think the main season of The Challenge is better than this one although this one had a Trivia challenge which I really enjoyed!

Actually, the daily challenge was the best part about this episode. Not just because of the Trivia aspect but also how they dealt with it. First of, it was guys round and a girls round, which is way better than having Teams. Here, the winner of each is safe and picks four people to then nominate, and the first ones to fall off the building are the ones going straight into elimination. In this case, Katie didn't even tr to do the challenge so she was the one girl straight into elimination. As for the guys, all of them played and the first one for fall was Brad. So Brad and Katie went straight into elimination and the winners were Casey and Steve. I wasn't familiar with Casey but seeing the footage of her in the past not doing the challenge because she was afraid of heights and now she winning, I was really happy for her. As for Katie, she got a lot of sh*t for not even trying which, I get it, but also she knew she was going straight into elimination and she was okay with it so... I guess that's fine?! It's not as fun for the viewers but I didn't really have a problem with it, to be honest.

Then, there was a huge plan between Casey and Steve and some other people (such as Nehemiah and Laterrian) to throw in Derrick. Basically they decided to choose Jodi and Cohutta so they would use their life-shield on themselves and then they could choose Derrick and they weren't able to do anything about it. As much as I like Derrick and I didn't want him to go into elimination, I gotta say that it was a smart move. And in terms of the girls, because they wanted to make sure that Derrick had the most votes, they went with Kendall, which was the only girl that Katie didn't want. Steve kind of f*cked up there... In the end, it was between Kendall, Ayanna, Tyler and Derrick and... They got what they wanted - Derrick and Ayanna.

So it was Brad against Derrick and Ayanna against Katie, and I was definitely rooting for Derrick and Katie. The elimination itself wasn't great, to be honest. It was better than the last one, but still not as exciting as the eliminations in the main series, and that's my take on both seasons. This series has better daily challenges and the main series has better eliminations. But anyway... It was pretty tied, in both rounds, but in the end Ayanna and Brad won, which was exactly what I didn't want. Not that I disliked them, I just liked the other two more... 

But I guess that's it. The next episode looks like it will have some injuries and, as per usual, the daily challenge looks really cool so... The Challenge: Spies, Lies and Allies | Season 37 Episode 17 - "Drop Dead"

Hello everybody!

Back with one more The Challenge rant and this one was... interesting. Not the most surprising one, nor super exciting, but it did end up with a huge cliffhanger that I can't wait to talk about! But first, let's get into the events of the beginning of the episode.

This episode had a lot of set up in the beginning, which led me to believe in a lot of things that, ultimately, didn't happen. The focused a lot on CT and how a lot of the guys didn't want him in the finally, also focused on the Ruby Team and more specifically Logan and how Nelson didn't know if he should trust him, and that was touched again during the episode which really made me think that Logan was going to betray Nelson somehow but again, I was wrong.

Unfortunately, the daily challenge wasn't trivia and, to be fair, was sort of underwhelming because, first of all, the Sapphire Team was awful and only CT did the job. It was a good job indeed, so good that got Sapphire to win, but if I was him, I would be pretty p*ssed off at my team... I'm super happy that Kyle was safe, but honestly, he didn't deserve it because CT did all the work. But same goes for the other teams, to be honest. I mean, Ruby, although awful at it, every single person tried and that's more important to me. As for Emerald, as expected, Nany and Amanda were awful and didn't even try. Emanuel, surprisingly, wasn't good either, and Kaycee wasn't that great either and the only one fairly good at it was Devin which, again, also surprising. In the end, it was between Emerald and Sapphire but, as I said, Sapphire won and, honestly, I thought their decision on which guy to pick was pretty easy - they wanted to save Devin (I mean, Kyle wanted) so the best way to go about it was to pick Emanuel but... no, they didn't go with him.

When it was time for nominations, no one wanted to go in but no one wanted to throw anyone under the bus and, because of that, they decided to go with Logan. Not the best move, in my opinion, but it ended up working fine for them because, down in the lair, Logan chose Emanuel, which was the right thing to do but not the smartest.

The elimination was speed and agility and we all know that Emanuel is great at that! Logan was fairly good and that elimination might have taken so long to end but, in the end, Logan fell and Emanuel won. I was sad to see Logan go but he stayed true to his word to not pick Nelson and I appreciate that! Not that I like Nelson, it's more that I like someone that stays true to his word so... I liked Logan.

And just like that, Emanuel goes back to his team (no choice) and that's when TJ drops a plot twist - there's another elimination! Actually, double elimination! My bet is that it's one guy and one girl, which leaves 8 people to go into the final and there won't be teams in the final. I always suspected that but now I'm pretty sure it is what's going to happen. I would like to see everyone that hasn't been in the Lair down there but honestly, who really doesn't deserve to be there are Nany and Amanda. None of them has done anything this whole season but, if I really had to pick, I would say Nany is the one that deserves it the least - Amanda still went into one elimination so... Yeah, I hope Nany goes home. As for the guys, the one that I like the least is Nelson so... I'll go with him. 

In the end, I just want Kyle to win because, honestly, he's the only one I truly like that's still in the game so let's go Kyle! But that's it from me.

The Flash | Season 8 Episode 3 - "Armageddon, Part 3"

Hello everyone!

Here I am with Part 3 of this 'crossover' and... I have mixed feelings about this episode. It wasn't nearly as good as the previous one, but it also wasn't as bad as the first of the season so... I guess it was fine?! The main core of the story was pretty strong - Barry and Jefferson - but everything else, although interesting story-wise, it was handled in a really weird way. I don't know if it was the writing, the acting or a bit of both, but those stories with Cecile and the one with Iris were really weak.

But, let's start with the good! As I was saying, the main conflict of the episode between Jefferson and Barry was really good! Good story and strong performances. It then got a bit lame by the end, when Barry went all out on Jefferson, and then it got pretty cheesy but, overall, I liked what they did there.

Basically Barry wanted Jefferson to take away his powers. Apparently, that was what the Injustice protocol said - if any of the heroes went rogue, the others would have to take away their powers, and in this case, it looks like Jefferson was meant to be the one 'in charge' of Barry. I don't know why exactly, but probably because both of their powers come from electricity so... That might be the reason. And they almost do it, until Jefferson finds out what Barry was keeping from him and they they fight and, during that fight, they shatter the box with Oliver's things and that's when they had a meaningful talk and Jefferson is able to change Barry's mind. As said, interesting and definitely the best part about the episode, even if it did get a bit too much.

Meanwhile, there's other two story-lines going on - one with Cecile, Caitlin, Chester and Rosa, and another one with Allegra and Iris. And all of this because Iris believes Joe is alive and someone is framing Barry, but Cecile just thinks Iris is in denial and so they fight over this and decide to go follow different plans - Iris looking into Joe's 'death' and Cecile trying to find Barry. Honestly, the fight between the two was so bad - bad writing and bad acting - and just now I'm realizing that Danielle Nicolet is not really a great actress, and even more when she's trying to be bad. She can't play a villain character like at all, and that's kinda sad, actually.

Well, believe it or not, in this case I was on Iris side and I actually think her story-line was way more interesting. And she does find out something - she goes to Deon and he discovers that someone tapped into the Negative Still Force and changed the timeline and killed Joe. At the same time, Cecile does find Barry but Despero gets to them and gets inside Cecile and Rosa's mind and find where Barry is as well.

While in the Hall of Justice, Jefferson is able to hold off Despero while Barry runs and travels to 2023. There, Barry witnesses a future Iris celebrating her marriage to Eobard Thawne alongside Team Flash, Alex, Ryan Choi and Ryan Wilder (I still haven't seen the last two seasons of Batwoman). The episode ends with everyone asking Barry why he's there. 

Well, I guess people were right - the Reverse Flash is behind all of this. On one hand I'm happy, because he's an interesting villain (also, if this is the last season, it would come full circle if Thawne was the bad guy again) but I also think it's more of the same so... I guess we'll see where this goes.
