The Challenge: All Stars | Season 1 Episode 5 - "Nuthin' but an OG Thang"

Spoiler Alert!

Heya people!

After that lack luster All Stars episode last week we have an exciting one! Basically everything about this episode was interesting and, most of all surprising. Starting out with the week's challenge.

This week's daily challenge was a mini final, and I love when they do that! It's when they do these that we know who's fit for a final and who's not, and this one had an interesting twist. It started out as a group challenge, with teams carrying a trunk and, right away we could see who was getting tired and who was pumped and just had all the endurance, one of the latter being Mark (which we already expected, I mean, I know I did). Then, after that part of the challenge, the teams split up into pairs and had to solve a puzzle (one of those that involve memory most of all) and, to be honest, it looked fairly easy so... I don't know why they were struggling so much. I did notice that some of the pieces the letters also changed colors so... That made it harder but still, I didn't think it was too hard. And after that the pairs split and it became an individual race where each person had to carry a log. This was a men's elimination week and, plot twist - no more life savers. Well, in the end, Laterrian was the first one to finish so he was safe, as well as the first female who was Kendall. As for last and going into elimination was Syrus. Also last was Beth and that actually mattered, but I'll get into that later.

After the challenge came the deliberation and now things started to get interesting. Syrus wanted Alton because he let the team down in the first part of the challenge, but Alton though it should be the second to last guy to go in which was Big Easy... Part of the house thought the same but then there was also the whole friendships thing and... Yeah, in the end it was Alton to go against Syrus. But not only him!

As they got into the elimination TJ drops a bomb - from now on it's a double elimination every single time so that meant that Beth went into elimination alongside Syrus and, as for Alton, he had the opportunity to chose a girl apart from Kendall (because she was safe) and he chose Aneesa. It was actually well thought out because the elimination was the one that Beth should've done last week but with a twist - this time one person had to go over the blocks and they had to do it five times. Obviously the guys were the ones to climb the blocks but the thing is, Syrus had a twisted ankle and that made him struggle and, in the end, loose the elimination and go home, alongside Beth.

I was actually happy because I didn't want Aneesa to go home. I really think it's about time Aneesa goes into a final and wins and, to be honest, I think she has a better chance in this All Stars season than in the other seasons so... Let's hope that happens!

And I guess that's it from me. This was a good episode in my opinion but let me know what you thought of this episode and what you thought of the double elimination twist, and I guess I'll see you next week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 20 - "Reunion Part 1"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Back with a couple more rants. This week I only have The Challenge to talk about so let's talk about Double Agents first.

Last week the end of the final aired so you know what that means - this week's episode and the next one are Reunion episodes which, although they are fun and interesting to watch, they're nowhere near as exciting as the actual episodes, but let's get into it.

I would say this episode focused a lot on Fessy. As much as it pains me that the episode was mainly about him, I liked that most of it was to highlight how sh*tty of a person he is. They started right away with the fact that no girl was good enough for him and, therefore, no one liked to be paired with him and, as Aneesa said, Fessy would only like to be paired with Fessy because no one is good enough for him. And then they also mentioned the fact that he didn't do any of the eating challenges and then blamed it on Kaycee... Typical Fessy move... Besides that, they also got into the whole thing with the girls that he was interested in and then mentioned the vacation that he took with Tori and Cory called in the very beginning of the show, which was funny but I already knew that that happened. And, to end the Fessy things he had to post on Instagram that no one could beat him and whatever and... Yeah, he's so annoying and obviously not just to me, but to everyone in the cast because everyone was so fed up with him.

Onto some other things... They obviously had to mention the winners. It was nice that CT realized that he still got and I was also happy that Amber B said that she was happy to prove Fessy wrong. Obviously Fessy was annoyed at that comment and acted like it didn't bother him but I'm pretty sure deep down he wishes the had her as a partner... Too bad he's so egotistical.

Something a bit nicer and that I never thought I would say is that I loved Devin in this reunion. He really owns his 'lay up' status and he's just there to mess around. In a way he reminds me a lot of Kyle and, because of that, I'm starting to be a fan of Devin. I know, I'm surprised too... But here we are. On that note, they commented on the Big Brother Alliance and the things between Devin and that alliance and, again, Devin just wants to mess around and, surprisingly, Josh owned up to his mistake and said he shouldn't have let Devin get inside his head so... Good for Josh.

Obviously I also have to talk about Big T and CT. They were a huge part of this season so they had to comment not only on their relationship but on the whole CT leaving her for Kam. Nothing really knew was said, I'm just happy that they're fine now and I just really like Big T - she's so pure for this world.

Another of the cute things that happened in this episode was the whole Kam and Leroy thing about how they evolved as people and as a couple and it was just super sweet. But that's about it... There were other things said such as Tori saying the rookies were weak and also some drama with Ashley but, to be honest, I don't think they're that big...

As I said, not a lot happens in this Reunion episodes so... This is was we got in this Part 1, let's see what Part 2 brings. In the meantime let me know what you thought of this episode and be on the lookout for the All Stars rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 1 Episode 4 - "Semi-Charmed Lifesaver"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

I know, I know... I'm so late with this rant! For some reason it's so hard to find this season (outside of the US). But I found it and I'm finally here to talk about this really bittersweet episode.

On one hand this episode was really surprising but, at the same time, it was also a let down because of everything that happened. And, as per usual, I'm going straight to the point - the lifesaver!

As the title of the episode suggests, this episode was all about the lifesaver and what the heck does it mean in terms of who ends up going into the elimination. The challenge itself (the challenge of the week), although interesting, not as exciting as the one in last week's episode. I was happy that Mark won (although I did see a spoiler of that) and I liked that he took a chance in using the lifesaver. If there was anyone to use it, it was him, and I'm glad he did. However, in doing so, he saved the person that I thought should be the one going into elimination - Katie.

I get it, she had put up with so many injuries in over water challenges so I understand her. Still, it does make me slightly annoyed that she didn't even try, and because of that, I thought she was the one that should go into elimination and I'm glad she volunteered. But it didn't matter in the end - the person going against Beth (who was the captain of the loosing team) wasn't going to be her because Mark used the lifesaver. The highlight - we found out what happens when someone uses the lifesaver, and that made a lot of people mad.

Turns out, when you use the lifesaver, there's another vote, right then and there. The only people that don't vote are the captains of the winning team (in this case Mark and Ruthie, the later who was also safe from elimination) and the person that was saved (in this case, Katie), oh and the person going into elimination - here it was Beth. So everyone else votes and the majority of voted went towards Arissa, who was the second person that Beth wanted to go against (after Katie, who ended up being saved). Personally, I don't think it was just because of that. As we saw during the episode, she was excluding herself from a lot of the things and being a loner so not a lot of people had ties with her so that also made it easy to vote for her. But oh boy... Arissa was not happy.

I was actually pretty stoked to see that elimination - it looked fairly easy, but you never know with The Challenge. However, Arissa just wanted to get physical and punch someone, and because the elimination wasn't physical like that, she just gave up, gave Beth the win and just went home. And that's when we see that snippet that was shown in one of the season's trailer where TJ says 'See you Never'. That was gold!

It was really lame of her to that and I'm happy she's gone. I get so annoyed when people get offended when the house votes for that person like... it's the challenge ffs! You should expect that! But okay... Hopefully the next episode will be better and have some actual challenges and elimination because that's what I want to see.

In the meantime, let me know what you thought of this episode. Did you agree with what Katie did? What about with Arissa? Tell me everything and I'll see you next week with more rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 19 - "The World Is Not Enough"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Here we are with the last part of the final and we finally know who won this season! I know some people already knew but I try to stay away from spoilers as much as I can. Unfortunately, this morning before I watched the episode I came across some spoilers which, didn't tell me everything, but I could deduce some things and it ended up being what I thought it was. I'm not mad about it but I would like for it to be a surprise. Yes, CT and Amber were the winners this season! It's a bittersweet thing. On one hand I like CT and I was happy that not only him but also Amber, who no one wanted to be paired with, who this season. But on the other hand I really wanted Leroy to win - not just because it's his final season but also because he really deserved it. And I really thought he was going to win this season but, as I said in my previous post, being paired with Nany didn't help him and that really showed in the last stretch of the final. It was neck a neck between Leroy and Nany, and Cory and Kam, and Leroy indeed arrived before Cory, but Kam was right after Cory and so they ended up being the second place (while and Nany and Leroy were third aka no money).

Well, unlike all the other episodes, I'm not going to go through everything that happened. I think I'm just going to give my overall thoughts on the final and just the teams in general. However, I do need to mention that overnight 'challenge' that, not only looked so pretty that cave, but also that it was kind of fun. In a way, it was easier that some of the previous overnight challenges, but I was not there and I don't know exactly how cold that was so... Maybe I would think differently if I was there.

As for the teams, well, needless to say that I'm so impressed with Amber! CT I knew he had it in himself. He was fitter this season and we know what he's capable of - he's going in physical things, he's good in puzzles, he's going in eating challenges and, apparently, he's also good at math so... He had so much advantage than all the other guys. But Amber... Damn, I didn't know she was capable of that! I mean, she's the perfect fit for a final. Yes, she's not the best at math or puzzles but 80% of the final is running and she is so good at that. Just like CT said, it looked like she was slowing down her pace for him, and that says a lot! It's such a f*ck you to Fessy who didn't want to be paired with her and thought he was better than everyone else... Well, I'm so glad that Amber didn't stay with Fessy because he would slow her down just like he did with Kaycee.

Yes, Fessy is a p*ssy but we already knew that, right?! And I can't believe he blamed their DQ on Kaycee. Damn! She gave her all and he wasn't even able to eat that thing! Yeah... I wish he wouldn't be back for next seasons but, unfortunately, from what I have been hearing, he will be back for next season so... Ugh!

The other person that I'm kind of mad about is Nany. I mean, I already said this but she was basically the reason why Leroy didn't get second place. Heck, maybe if he was with someone else he would've won, who knows?! But yeah, Nany doesn't have it in her... She lacks drive and motivation and it's cool to be happy just for the experience but you need something else to win it and I don't think she has that something else.

And yeah, I guess that's pretty much it. I would say there won't be much to talk about in the Reunion - I think this season didn't have much drama but that preview said otherwise so... I'm excited about that.

All in all, I'm happy with the outcome of this season and I'm excited not only for the next one but also for that All Stars season that is still going on and that'll review the new episode very soon. In the meantime, let me know what you thought of the final, where you happy with the outcome? Were you rooting for someone else? Tell me everything and I'll talk to you very soon!

Love,

Daniela.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist | Season 2 Episode 10 - "Zoey's Extraordinary Girls' Night"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Oh My God, I don't even know where to start! When I think this show can't surprise me anymore, it always does, and always in a good way. Truly, one of the best shows I've seen lately. It's incredible how they can touch on so many important subjects on a light but still meaningful way.

So, this episode starts right where the last one left of - with Zoey seeing that Emily isn't fine. However, Emily still doesn't acknowledge that she has a problem and so, the remaining of the episode is Zoey trying to get through her. And in the process, she discovers all kinds of issues that her friends have as well as some issues within her, which was such a big surprise.

Where do I start? I guess I'll start with Zoey and Simon. Even though this episode was mostly about Emily (but we already know that she's not fine, so it's mostly making her realize that) the other thing that was pretty prominent in the episode was Zoey and Simon's relationship that is being a little it rocky. I mean, they acknowledge in the episode that everyone's relationships are facing some type of issues, which is later on talked in such an interesting set of scenes, but Simon is having this issue that Zoey isn't spending as much time with him as he wanted. Part of me is happy that they're having some troubles because I'm a Max & Zoey shipper (still don't know their ship name) but on the other hand, I can see that Simon is a great guy and him and Zoey work really well together so... I don't know how I feel about them yet. Anyway so Zoey has been so focused on Emily that Simon is feeling left out, and Zoey realizes that on some of the best scenes in this episode!

It started out with Simon, Max and Mo having a musical number expressing their feelings which I loved and then, on a really interesting turn of events, what Zoey thought would be a Girls Night In with Emily, turned into a Girls Night Out, which was so much fun to see Zoey so out of place in a club and all of that. But the best part really was that the boys were at Mo's house and they were the ones to have a night in - where they even did some face masks as well as some feet thing. It was so interesting to see the duality of something that the girls where doing that it's typically seen as more of a guys thing and the boys doing what is seen as a girls thing. I just loved that!

Then, what might have been my favorite musical number in the episode, Zoey finally gets through to Emily after Emily sings Gasoline by Halsey on the club's bathroom. I love Halsey and it was so surprising to her one of her songs in a show like this, and even more not one of her most mainstream songs so... Yeah, super surprised but loved it! Also, Emily's version was so powerful! Really loved it!

And well, in the end not only Emily comes to terms that she has Post-partum Depression but she also tells David and realizes that she needs professional help. That was huge and is something that is so true - people have to come to terms themselves about their problems so I loved that the show tackled that. And then, in the very end, while listening to Mo singing about leaning on each other, Zoey realizes something about herself as well - she also needs help - and that's when we see her go to a therapist and saying that she has a power that might not be good for her. That was such a huge twist that I  did not see coming! I always saw this power as somewhat a good thing but, if you really think about it, it must be such a burden - mostly if you are an empath and you need to help people, which is Zoey's case so... Interested to see where this goes, as well as to see if she tells Simon about her powers because he already got a feeling of them in, again, a really funny scene where he asked Mo and Max about Zoey 'knowing what everyone is thinking'.

More on the side there was also a plot with Maggie finding herself and going to casinos with Deb. Fun, but might be a problem in the future, and there was also Max and Rose, which I do not ship, that are moving forward with their relationship (let's see where this leads, having in mind that next episode is called 'Zoey's Extraordinary Double Date', that should be interesting) and Mo and the Fire Marshall that are take a step forward with their relationship as well.

Overall, great episode, truly loved it! And now I'm super curious where everything is going - Zoey and her powers, the couples, Maggie's possible addiction... We'll see. Unfortunately, Zoey's Playlist is also taking a break so no new rant next week but the show will be back in May! In the meantime, let me know what you thought of this episode and tell me, are you team Max or team Simon? I don't think I asked it that so, let me know, and I'll talk to you in my next rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 18 - "No Time To Die""

Spoiler Alert!

Heya!

Here I am again with the last rant of the week - The Challenge: Double Agents.

We finally got to the final and what a ride this was/is going to be. Actually, this episode felt a bit short. I mean, it was shorter than the previous episodes, but it did feel short regardless because we got so little of the actual challenge. Which, in a way, got me so excited about the next one (aka the final of the final).

To start of, they spent a lot of time on "drama" in the beginning of the episode. I know it's the final and they have to create some tension but... They could've gone sooner into the final, but yeah... It was a lot of foreshadowing of what was to come and, to be honest, I'm happy, in a weird/creepy way, about what ended up happening.

Anyway, when they got into the final it was so exciting! First of all, I was wrong about the teams - they did stick to their partners, but with something happening later. And, in true The Challenge fashion, this first half of the final was mainly running, with some checkpoints, of course. And the main thing I took from all of this was Amber is actually pretty good!! Not only she was the first to arrive to the first checkpoint, with CT, obviously, but she was most of the time ahead of him, but in the actual checkpoint challenge she beat everyone else.

This first checkpoint was a redo of the first ever challenge on the season and it was played on two rounds - a girls one and a guys one. As for the guys, CT won, and then, as I said, Amber won on the girls round and she was even faster than CT so she had a choice to make. TJ gave her the opportunity to change partners but she did the right thing - she stayed with CT. Not only they have been working pretty well so far but both of them won this checkpoint so... And we have to keep in mind that CT has the experience so... Yeah, she did the right thing. The only downside of this first round was that Leroy was in last place... And he stayed that way for the remaining of the second round.

After the first round, it was time for more running until the next checkpoint and CT and Amber remained ahead. I mean, they weren't but then they got ahead because of what happened with Kaycee.

As expected, Fessy didn't work well with Kaycee. I mean, he tried harder than with any other girl, but still, he never waited for her on the running part and that's why Kaycee fell and snapped her knee. She was trying to go at Fessy's pace but she was too tired and she fell. With that, they ended up last and, of course, Fessy was annoyed. He never really said that but, as Nany said, he had that look on his face. Still, I was so surprised that she kept going and they got to the second checkpoint, which was all about eating.

I love eating challenges and it has been a while since the had one in the final, so it was so cool! As expected, CT did great but again, Amber really surprised me again because she tried to keep going with CT and she was able to, to the point that they won again!

What was also surprising (not really) was Fessy not eating. Kaycee kept trying and she went straight to eating and Fessy didn't even try! I mean, I get it - he's afraid he will have to eat that disgusting food for them to then be disqualified but from the preview, it looks like they won't be so... Fessy is a p*ssy! Ugh! So annoying!

Anyway, so CT and Amber won again and their "advantage" was to give more food to one team, and that's when the episode ends. I hope they give that food to Cory and Kam because they are closer to them in the race, but we'll see.

With all of this events, now I'm doubting my prediction that Leroy will win. I don't think he will be able to win with Nany so either he is able to switch partners in one of the next checkpoints or it's CT and Amber that win this season. It's pretty clear that Fessy and Kaycee will be the 4th place, even if the keep going so that's nice. I would love to see Leroy win but it's not looking great for him... Let's see...

In the meantime, tell me what you thought of this first half of the final and who do you think will win? I know some people already know who won but no spoilers please, just predictions! If you know, please don't say anything. Okay, that's it from me. I'll see you next week with more rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 1 Episode 3 - "I've Got The Power"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Yeah, there's a bit of a change. Not only I'm a day late with this rant but I'm also starting with The Challenge: All Stars because I don't know what happened but I couldn't find the "normal" The Challenge anywhere so... We're starting with this one.

On one hand this version of The Challenge is better because it goes straight to the point but on the other hand there's not much to anticipate and speculate about. But anyway, let's talk about it.

As I said, there wasn't much "drama" and foreshadowing of the episode in the beginning. We basically went straight into the week's challenge which, wasn't that bad. This week's challenge was pretty exciting. Something they have been doing with this season is bring back some of the best old school challenges and that's what they did here.

This week's challenge was all about melting a block of ice with your body and, although the only version I remember of this was a similar version with a block of soap (I think), they did say in the episode that they have done it before so... That was nice! However, this was taking way too long so TJ had to give them a hand and give each team a hammer to break the ice. The thing here was that, underneath the ice, there were pieces with the name of The Challenge seasons that they had to put in order and they couldn't break those pieces or they would have a 5 minute penalty for each broken piece and it was here that things got switched up.

Mark and Beth's team was actually the first team to finish, but they had two broken pieces which gave the win to Darrell and Kendal's team. This being a male elimination week meant that Darrell was save and Kendal had the life saver. As for the last team it was Katie and Nehemiah's team that lost and so Nehemiah went straight into elimination. And then, something happened (don't really understand what) and Teck started "teasing" Nehemiah and you know what that means, right? Nehemiah chose Teck to go against in the elimination. It's what made sense. Like Mark said - why make other enemies? However, when they got into the nominations Teck volunteered himself and... Yeah, that was the end of nominations.

What followed next was a bit more interesting though. I don't know what they were trying to do but they were talking a lot about Kendal using the Life Saver and throwing in Big Easy. Don't really know what they were thinking there but that got all the boys worried that Kendal could throw them in (even though, they don't know what really happens when you use the Life Saver).

But, never-mind, Kendal decided not to use it and so it was Nehemiah against Teck. Actually, it was a pretty tight race. It wasn't exactly a physical challenge so Teck had a bit of an advantage, but TJ threw a curve-ball at them.

Basically the elimination was breaking their colored tiles and get back to the starting place. But TJ decided to give both of them two Carolina Reapers (the peppers - the hottest ones) before the ran into the "cube" with the tiles, which made the elimination a lot harder. And, as I said, it was a pretty tight race but Nehemiah won which I'm not mad about. I think he's a good competitor so I can't wait to see more of him.

And that's it. As I said, there's not much to predict here because the show focuses a lot on the actual challenges, which is good, but you know me, I like to speculate a bit. I'll say this, women's eliminations are a lot more "fired up" because women are more dramatic so... I think we will see a bit of drama next week... We'll see...

But, that's it. Hopefully I'll watch the "normal" season today and put up my rant as well but, in the meantime, let me know what you thought of this episode and if you prefer this more focused on the challenges season and yeah... I'll see you soon!

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 7 - "Growing Pains"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Okay, this was actually a pretty good episode! It was nothing of what I was expecting and maybe that was the reason why I liked it so much - it surprised me.

From the preview last week I thought this would be mostly about Barry and the Speed-force and that whole deal with Iris as well and, part of the episode was but not all of it. Most of the episode was actually about Killer Frost and her running from the police... sort of... And, as I said in a previous rant, that story-line was my favorite this season so of course I was thrilled about having this episode be mainly about her.

Well, I guess I'll start with the smaller story-line of the episode - the Barry and Speed-force drama. There's not much to it, to be honest, just the fact that she wants to help Barry have more and better powers and that just messes with Barry's life, who's back being a CSI (it has a been a while since we saw him being just Barry). Not only that but also she's wearing Nora's face and that is messing with Barry's head as well (exactly what I said last week. I don't understand why Iris thought that was a good thing...). Of course everything ends up fine and they 'team up' to fight the other forces.

Now, for the main thing of the episode - Killer Frost.

There's a lot to her story so I'll try to be concise. So that crime scene that Barry worked in this episode turns out it was about a meta with ice powers. Of course that lady detective who's name I can't remember thought it was Frost, but Team Flash knew it couldn't have been her because she was with them. Still, they really couldn't do much about it and so that detective issued an arrest for her (or something like that, I'm not that great with police terms).

With that, Team Flash tells Frost to not go out but, of course, she doesn't do it. Instead, she goes look for the real killer with ice powers and that's when we are introduced to Mark (aka Chillblaine). And that's when we have one of the funniest scenes like ever on The Flash - when Frost sees him shirtless. I love that they're giving Killer Frost a love interest that it's also a bad guy. Well, of course at that time she doesn't know he's the bad guys but c'mon that was pretty obvious. Of course she eventually finds out that's he's Chillblaine and also that he doesn't really have powers - he has tech - and that's when a fight sequence takes place. It was cool, but I must say that it was too choreographed, in my opinion. Chillblaine has an upper hand on Frost but that's when Flash and Allegra arrive and they're able to take him down. Unfortunately, the detective found Frost and his outside the bar where the fight took place and that's when the episode ends - with Frost surrendering (mostly because Caitlin was arrested earlier, I forgot to mention that).

I must say that I was a bit surprised that they knew Caitlin was Frost?! I mean, obviously they're not anymore, which worked out great for them, but yeah... That was a bit of a surprise. Apart from that, and even though I was surprised that the episode was about Frost instead of Barry, the story overall wasn't that surprising. Everything went as I thought it would, once I understood what the episode was about, and now I'm just curious to see what's going to happen next since the next episode is called ' The People vs. Killer Frost' and I'm pretty sure most of it will take place in court so... That's going to be interesting.

Unfortunately we're going to have to wait two weeks for it because the next episode will only air on May 4, which really is a bummer. By the way, I've been wondering what's up with Tom Cavanagh's character and I know Wells went away or something but... isn't Tom going to be in this season at all? I haven't heard anything so I just assumed he would have a new character but... It's episode 7 and he hasn't been in so... If you know, please tell me because I'm just really confused.

Apart from that, tell me what you thought of the episode. Were you surprised that this was about Frost, as I was? What did you think of Chillblaine? Let me know everything and I'll see you in May with a new The Flash rant but I'll see you tomorrow with other rants!

Love,

Daniela.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist | Season 2 Episode 9 - "Zoey's Extraordinary Mystery"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!!

OMG, what a fantastic episode! Truly, this might have been my favorite episode this season! Ugh, I have s much to talk about I don't even know where to start!

Okay, so... After how things ended last episode I wasn't too hopeful. I mean, I was still excited about the show and I wasn't expecting a bad episode but you know... Knowing that Zoey would be with Simon... So, that's why when that first scene happened I was so excited about it. However, they completely tricked me (I guess that's what they wanted) in thinking that things weren't going to work out between Zoey and Simon. I still think they won't work out in the end but with everything that happened in this episode, I have to say that I'm not that mad about her being with Simon anymore. That whole thing with the stool that Simon made for Zoey... awww that was the cutest thing! So yeah, I've warmed up to the idea of them together. But that wasn't even the thing that made me love this episode. It was the actual story!

It's amazing how this show can always surprise me with their different ideas. I do have to say that I go into each episode without knowing anything about it so I'm mostly always surprised. But yeah, the original ideas that they do on the show just blow me away. You would think a show like this would get repetitive - well, it never does! And that was one of the reasons why loved this episode! Then, there's the actual story with the songs being mixed up which just gave a different vibe to the episode - as the title says, it was sort of a mystery. Also, I saw a comment of the episode say that it was actually pretty surprising because at first you thought the songs were just random and then you understand that they're switch up and that gave a different feeling to the episode once you figure that out. Oh, and again, they did that same thing when Max sang 'Anyone' - I really thought things weren't working with Rose which got my hopes up and... Well, I ended up a bit disappointed but I still have hope that Max and Zoey will get back together.

And because we're already on that topic, can we talk about them choosing to do 'Anyone' now? I don't know if you've seen it but Demi Lovato just release a 4 episode documentary about her overdose and the timing of them doing this song on the show as just... on point! Oh and of course, Skylar was the perfect one to sing it, although, I was a bit shocked at the choice so it took me a bit to fully appreciate the singing but yeah... Definitely gonna add that to my playlist. But all the songs in this episode were amazing, actually!

This might have been one of the episode with the most amount of songs and I loved it! I loved basically all the performances but I do have to give a shout out to 'Anyone' (both versions, actually), 'What Does The Fox Say?' which was so funny, and 'Love on The Brain' which was sang buy one of Perry's kids and it was really good!

Well, I guess that's pretty much it for this episode. I think I touched on all the major moments of the episode. Of course, the ending though... I don't know why I didn't notice that but the ending was so strong and I can't wait for the show to develop on that. Also, I never really noticed that the show has so many characters with names starting with 'M'?! That was also a shock to me... But in a fun way. I also liked that we found out a bit more about all the characters so, once again, the show never gets boring, never gets repetitive and you keep on learning about the characters, which is amazing!

But that's it from me, I guess... Let me know what you thought of this episode, if you liked it as much as I did and I'll see you later this week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 1 Episode 2 - "All That You Can't Leave Behind"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello people!

Okay, this was a good one!

Now I get why everyone was so stoked about this new season/format - this really incorporates all the aspects that we love about The Challenge with none of the other things that annoy us.

For once, this episodes are 15 minutes shorter which means they really need to get straight to the point. We did have a bit more of drama here than we had in the previous episode but that's not entirely bad. I do think, however, that I needed a bit more explanation on the whole Trishelle/Katie drama because that felt like it blew out of nowhere. I mean, Trishelle did get a bit dramatic on the whole thing about Katie not telling her that she was going against Kendal (and yes, I'm getting a bit ahead of myself, I know) and, because of that, I was on Katie's side, but I also think that something happened in that time that they lived together, 20 years ago as they said, and it wasn't explained here so... I get it but I felt like I needed more information to fully get it. Anyway, now let's get back to the beginning of the show and the challenge of the week which was - Trivia, my favorite!

This time the Trivia was only about The Challenge, which is interesting, but it played in two rounds (guys and then girls) and it was all up to them (no giving another strike to someone else) and that is what I've been loving about this All Stars season and more specifically this episode - it's only up to you. A lot less politicking but also when it comes to the challenges there's no screwing someone else, you need to do your job and that's the only way you will win, and I like that. So, in the end, and I said, Trishelle was the loser so she went straight into elimination (which is something else that I like) and the winner for the girls, and therefore safe, was Aneesa, which is nice for a change. As for the guys, the winner was Nehemiah who later on could save the house vote. And, as for house vote, again, it was Kendal. I didn't know Kendal but after that elimination damn! I'm a fan!

The elimination was also old school with one of those where they have to tie a rope around and around a structure and then the other person has to untie it. It's not as exciting as a Pole Wrestle or a Hall Brawl but it's pretty good and it's a nice one for the girls - I liked it. And yes, Kendal won and I'm happy about that. Not only I didn't like Trishelle's attitude but I liked the fight that Kendal has so can't wait to see more of her.

As for the next episode, it looks like an exciting one - again old school with them rubbing against a block of ice. And there will be drama amongst the girls again so...Exciting!

So, let me know what have been your thoughts on this new 'season', do you have any favorites already? Who do you want to see go into elimination? Let me know everything and I'll see you next week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 17 - "True Lies"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Ugh! I guess I'm out of luck this week (with my TV shows, I mean). Yes, although this week's episode of The Challenge was surprising and exciting, the way it ended was so disappointed and I'm sad and annoyed at the same time.

I was so curious to see what the title of this episode meant. Usually the titles give you a clue to where the episode is heading but with this week's episode, was really difficult to guess what it was about. With such a small number of players, it was hard to predict. I was actually surprised though with what the title relates to because that was an huge part of the episode.

There's not a big lead up to the challenge in this episode, actually, so I'm going straight to it.

This was the one where half of the teams where 'kidnapped' and we learn in this episode that they are 'stuck' inside a volcano (a dead one, I might add). And, as expected, the whole thing backfired because, initially, they thought that the ones to go in first where the ones to do the challenge. Well, it was the other way around, which ended up being all the girls doing the running and doing the math and, overall, the actual challenge, and the guys just waiting around. Of course that just made Fessy so angry and frustrated and... Ugh! That just annoyed the heck out of me! And it was just karma that Amber B was the last one and that she couldn't even finish the first math problem. Don't get me wrong, I felt so bad for her! As someone that is also so bad at math, I felt like what happened to her would totally happen to me as well so I actually felt sorry for her. But again, I was also happy that that happened to Fessy because he was just waiting for it to happen. Just like they said in the episode - he has been talking sh*t about every single female partner that he has and that's so annoying! I really don't know how he's a football player because he sucks as a team player.

Anyway... Apart from that, I was actually surprised at Nany, who ended up being in second place for most of the run (basically up until the end) and, even though I'm not a fan of hers, I was sort of rooting for her because she's paired with Kyle. Unfortunately, Kam and Cory won and were the Double Agents. That also started a whole politics thing because they wanted to save Leroy and the house had the numbers to put in Leroy and so that's when the name of the episode comes in.

They found a loophole and they decided to throw in Fessy and, in order to do that, they made a deal with Kyle (who was going to vote for Leroy) that they would vote all for Fessy and then Kam would throw herself (aka Cory) in against Fessy. They did shake hands but what then backfired was the fact that Cory spent the night convincing Fessy to throw himself in and it worked. Fessy decided to go into elimination and then, because of that, Kam didn't go through with the plan and Kyle went against Fessy.

It was a bit nasty, in my opinion, but I can't blame her either. I don't think I would throw my partner either, but at least I would give Kyle an heads up.

So, it was Kyle against Fessy - in a Hall Brawl. Yeah... They did try to give Kyle a better chance by making it 5 rounds instead of 3 but it didn't matter... In the first one Kyle was so smashed by Fessy that he even broke a finger, making him unable to continue and, therefore, loose the elimination. It was really unfortunate not only because I like Kyle but also because I really wanted Fessy gone (as everyone in the house wanted) but okay... Then, as planned, Fessy decided to steal Kaycee from Leroy, Leroy then picked Nany and CT ended up with Amber. And, like that, they're going to the final!

I really hope this whole thing backfires at Fessy and that he looses and sees that he doesn't work with Kaycee here. Also, I've been having this gut feeling all this time that Leroy is going to win, therefore Nany is going to win (if things play out the way they think they'll play out) and that will also backfire at Kaycee, who shouldn't have said to Fessy to steal her.

Anyway... Next episode is the final and we will finally have the Fessy vs CT fight that we have been waiting for so, that alone is exciting! Apart from that, I'm excited to see if they stick with their partners and just overall what surprised does TJ have. It's going to be interesting!

Let me know what you thought of this episode, if you were rooting for Kyle as well, if you can't wait for Fessy to loose and what do you think will happen in the final? Tell me everything and I'll see you soon with the All Stars rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Flash | Season 7 Episode 6 - "The One With The Nineties"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!

Here we are with a The Flash episode without the Flash.

That's right. This whole episode was about everyone but Barry and that is a step back from the previous episode. If you remember, I praised last week's episode exactly because it was mainly about Barry and that's what I want the show to be about. Unfortunately, they got back to the same old story-lines and focus on other people. Although, I do have to say that this episode was mainly about Chester and, in a way, I guess we needed that.

The truth is, I don't think the producers ever thought about turning Chester into a recurring character, but with Ralph gone, they had to fill his place with someone else, and I guess Chester has a similar vibe. The down side is that we knew about Ralph and we don't really know much about Chester and that's where this episode comes in.

This whole episode revolved around "time travel", more specifically a "time travel God" I would say, which got Cisco and Chester in a different time period (but just in a specific part of town). That let us know about Chester and his struggles with everything that he went through as well as with his father's death. I have to say, it was cute and I sort of liked it, but part of me feels like it was a filler episode and we didn't really need to know more about Chester in order to like him (we already do).

The other part of the episode focused on Nora (aka speed-force) and... Ugh! That annoyed me. Mainly because it involved Iris and their "connection" and about Barry missing his mum. I mean, yeah its a cute story but the speed-force isn't his mum and I don't think Iris is right about having the speed-force around at their house so Barry feels connected to his mum. That will obviously backfire - as we see in the preview for next week.

Oh, and before I end, I need to mention that, once again, they defeated the bad guy with words! WTF!! That is getting old real fast! Can we just get some action?! Please?! I guess we will have some with where the Frost story is going and, to be honest, that is the best part about this season so far. But I guess that's it.

Let me know what you thought of this episode, if you think it was a bit of a filler as well, and I'll talk to you soon.

Love,

Daniela.

Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist | Season 2 Episode 8 - "Zoey's Extraordinary Birthday"

Spoiler Alert!

Hey there guys!

I know... I'm kind of late with this post, but I watch the show on HBO Portugal and I was waiting for the episode to be available. I hope you forgive me.

So, this episode was all about Zoey's birthday and, to be honest, about getting some clarity on a lot of things - mainly the romances in the show. Yes, this episode was a lot about love and romantic relationships and... I guess the show went the route that I really didn't want it to go but at the same time I'm not mad at it and I understand. And I'm just gonna say it - Zoey chose Simon.

I guess it was a matter of time before it happened but as a Zoey&Max shipper (do they have a ship name?) I was a bit disappointed. It's clear that Max still has feelings for Zoey and she was obviously jealous of whatever is happening between him and Rose so... I guess things can change any minute, and I hope they do. For now, let's see where this thing between Zoey and Simon goes...

Something else that I enjoyed was that they addressed the flirting with Aiden. Of course Mo was the one to bring it up first, but then we see Aiden "sort of" talk about it with Zoey's brother and then we get confirmation that Aiden indeed has feelings for Zoey when he sings at her party. And then she clarified that nothing could happen between them, mainly because of the age difference but also because they're in different phases of their lives. Part of me also thinks she said no to him because of Simon, but the previous things were what she said to Aiden. Anyway, I'm just glad that they addressed this "love triangle" and put an end to it - Zoey already has too many love interests, she doesn't need another one. The only bad thing with Aiden not being in the picture anymore is that David doesn't have a band anymore. The good thing is, that opens a number of different possibilities for the development of his character so, that's exciting!

Something else that is exciting is the possible romance between Tobin and one of the new girls at SPRQ Point. It was pretty obvious, to be honest, that something was going on there, but they haven't talked about that (not the show, nor with each other) so I guess we'll see where that leads.

Finally, I need to talk about Mo and his fire inspector friend that revealed in this episode that he's divorced and has two kids. That was sort of a deal breaker for Mo but with a little encouraging from Zoey, Mo realized that he shouldn't give up on him and I guess he gave him a chance so... Again, we'll see where that goes.

And that's pretty much it. I would rather see Zoey go back to Max but I don't hate Simon or anything so, maybe they work better than her with Max. Oh, and I completely forgot - the musical numbers in this one weren't my favorites. They did have an original song (the one that Aiden sang to Zoey) and that was interesting but, apart from that, the only one that I enjoyed was the "Into You" one but again, that was between Zoey and Simon so... I liked it, but not my fave.

Anyway... Let me know what you thought of the episode, what you thought about Zoey picking Simon and I'll see you pretty soon with a new rant!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: All Stars | Season 1 Episode 1 - "Legends Never Die"

Spoiler Alert!

Hey y'all!

I'm sorry I took a bit longer with this post. I had intentions of watching this and posting yesterday but I couldn't find this episode for the life of me! Luckily I did today and so I'm here to tell you all about the new The Challenge series that it's all about the old school challengers. I do need to reference that I have not seen all the The Challenge seasons and so there's a bunch of these names that I do not know. (Also, if you're like me and you live outside of the US and you can't find the episode, just hit me up on twitter @danixinhahhh and I'll let you know where you can find it). Anyway, with all of that said, let's talk about this new format.

The first thing that I noticed was the image quality! Because this series is on a streaming platform, one that it's from Paramount, the image quality really increased and that is amazing! Some people talked about the soundtrack but I didn't really notice it that much. I mean, it's nice, but it's a lot like all the other seasons of The Challenge. Something else that you might notice once you get into it is the runtime. They really waste no time with dramas and all of that and go straight to the challenges. On one hand that is great, the challenges and eliminations are what I want to see, but on the other hand there's no real build up for who's going into elimination and whatnot so... I also understand that this is the first episode so there's not a lot of build up yet. Let's see if they incorporate more drama in the future.

As for the players, I feel like the only ones that I know are the ones that have been in the recent seasons - Darrell, Aneesa, Jemmye... But I also remember Big Easy, Derrick, Jonna, KellyAnne and Nehemiah. And, of course, even though I haven't seen any of his seasons, I know Mark, who's not only the big face of this season but also the reason why this series happened at all. Clearly Mark is the stronger one here and I can't wait to see him in an elimination - I feel like he's going to be a beast! But, I must say, my favorite one this episode was Jisela. Not only she was the funnier one but she also was a beast in that daily challenge so... I'm liking her!

And, talking about the daily challenge... It was a bit of a let down?! I don't know... I get it, they're old, they can't do things like they used to, but c'mon! Most of them didn't even try! I have no idea if the water was that cold and the pieces were that deep but... It didn't look that hard, but maybe I'm underestimating the difficulty of the game. Regardless, I expected more from this legends.

Luckily the elimination saved this episode. I didn't know neither Ace nor Laterrian, so I had no idea what to expect but damn! Laterrian is a beast as well and that elimination is the type of elimination that I like to see! I just wish the daily challenge was as difficult/physical as the elimination. Maybe next episode... We'll see.

And yeah... There's not much more to it. In terms of nominations it was pretty straight forward - they went with who Laterrian wanted, since he was the captain of his team and his team lost he went straight to elimination - and the only different thing was that the female captain of the winning team had Life Saver, which means she could save who was nominated by the group, which Jisela didn't use on Ace. Besides that, it was pretty 'normal'.

The preview showed a few interesting things though. Most of all, it showed some cool eliminations and TJ being mad at someone leaving the elimination so... I don't know who it is but I can't wait to find out.

I must say that I was a tiny bit disappointed by this episode, mainly because most of them just gave up on the daily challenge but I'm stoked to see some of these physical eliminations and can't wait to see when it's Mark going down there, it's going to be interesting!

Let me know what you thought of this series premiere - if it was nostalgic for you or if you were a bit disappointed and I'll see you next week with new rants!

Love,

Daniela.

The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 16 - "A Most Wanted Man"

Spoiler Alert!!

Hello people!

So, we went from a really high high last episode to a really low low this episode. That's right, Big T's reign came to an end.

As per usual, I'm starting with the end but that was the only surprise this episode, to be honest. Most of this week's episode went as planned. Everyone wanted to throw in Kyle (or CT), they realized that they could have a tie for the house vote if they stick to their plan, Leroy and Kaycee won the week's challenge once again so... Everything was pretty obvious up until the point where CT betrayed Kyle.

I know I'm skipping over a ton of things regardless the actual challenge but... There's not really much to it. I was pretty impressed with Kyle and Amber B, both them and Fessy/Nany had the same amount of 'points' but ultimately Leroy and Kaycee won again (just by one point, I have to add) and so this episode became mainly about the elimination.

But back to CT betraying Kyle... Yes, they agreed they would vote for Fessy but CT realized that he had a better chance if he voted for Kyle so that's what he did. And like that it was decided that it was Kyle and Amber B to go into elimination. However, CT did come clean to Kyle so it wasn't a big betrayal but still... I would have loved to see what would've happen if it was a tie.

Anyway, so it was decided that it was Kyle and Amber B going in a it was also pretty obvious that the Double Agents - Kaycee and Leroy - would choose CT and Big T, and that's what they did. What they didn't predict though was that this was a girls elimination. I suspected it right the second I saw  Hall Brawl. Also, it would be kind of a plot twist for them. I was sort of happy that it was a girls elimination too because let's be real - Kyle wouldn't stand a chance against CT on a Hall Brawl; on the other hand, Big T against Amber B looked like a good match to me. And Big T almost had it! She gave it her all but in the end Amber won...

And then came the decision - stay with Kyle, switch to CT or steal? Well, this time I agreed with what Amber did - she chose to steal Fessy. Not because he was stronger or anything, but because it was better for her game and because she just wanted to mess with the numbers and I applaud that. Then, it was time for Nany to choose between Kyle and CT. The thing here is that whoever is the Rogue Agent will most likely be in the final. Well, it looks like we'll see CT in the final because Nany chose Kyle, as I thought she would. It makes sense! After Fessy she just wants someone to chill with and, even though they're not the best partners, she knows what to expect from Kyle. With CT she wouldn't know so it made sense to me. All the other players were sort of annoyed because that meant CT was in the final but... Oh well, that's what you get for wanting him out of the game.

So, we're so close to the final and I have no idea what's going to happen next episode. The only thing that they showed in the preview was Fessy and Amber not getting along and half the players being 'kidnapped' and the other half having to save them. It should be interesting (that challenge) but what I'm most curious about is how the voting will go. They know it's a guys elimination now and the should vote in two strong guys - Fessy and Leroy - but I don't know if that's what's going to happen. I have a feeling that Kyle and Nany might win this one and if that's the case, then the voting is going to be so interesting. Regardless, it's going to be an intense episode and then Final! So stoked!

Anyway... Let me know what you thought of this episode, if you were sad to see Big T go and if you agree with Amber B's choice of stealing Fessy and I'll see you in my next rant!!

Love,

Daniela.
