The Originals | Season 4 Episode 10 - "Phantomesque"

Spoiler Alert!

I'm sorry I took a little too long with this rant. It's the same usual really... I got caught up on Uni work. But the year is almost ending so, hopefully, I will be up to date with the next rants.
Anyway so, this past week, I almost didn't watch the episode live. My stream was airing a Baseball game and The Originals only aired at 3am (GMT Time). But I waited I got to watch the whole episode 'live' which was nice.
This was a good episode. I don't think it was the best one (or one of the best) but it was nice. The whole thing about Elijah being trapped was pretty good and, the thing that I liked the most - Rebekah and Kol came back! It made sense, really... Not only because Elijah is 'in trouble' but also because the season is almost ending, which I sometimes forget because I'm not used to The Originals having only 13 episodes. But, let's get into the proper events...
So, like I said, Rebekah and Kol come back not only to help Elijah but (mostly) to help Klaus defeat The Hollow (which we saw in the last episode that got into her real body).
Meanwhile, Freya tries to 'fix' Elijah by entering in his mind. This is crucial because Freya can't fix the necklace while Elijah is 'lost' in his mind, otherwise he will really be stuck in the necklace forever. The issue is that Freya can't really do the two things at the same time, do the spell and get insde Elijah's mind at the same time, so Hayley volunteers to get inside his mind. And, because Hope is always the one to save everyone, she also has to help Freya to keep Hayley inside Elijah's mind.
Back to Klaus, Rebekah and Kol... They go after the remain 'stakes' that can kill them in order to destroy them. That'a when they find Marcel who just had an encounter with the Hollow. Turns out, he needs her blood/her magic to revert the state in which Sofya is in. That's when Rebekah accidentaly tells him that their looking for the last 'stake' and, obviously, he goes after it as well since it has part of The Hollow's magic. In the end, he gets it and he might be able to reverse the 'spell' or whatever in Sofya.
Everything works out fine with basically everyone... Once again, with Hope's help, Hayley and Freya 'find' Elijah, so Freya is able to fix the necklace. Elijah is still 'dead' but he's 'fine' inside the necklace. The only issue is that Hayley was face-to-face with Elijah's old self, the 'red door' Elijah, so she's now afraid of him, which is going to be insteresting from now on.
Then, about Rebekah, Kol and Klaus... Rebekah decides to stay with the family because she needs to help them get Elijah back, but Kol says that he can't because of what he found out earlier about Davina and the ancestors. That's when he goes to Davina's cript, to say goodbye and that's when he comes face to face with The Hollow and she tells him that she can bring Davina back, if Kol does stuff for her. At that moment I just say 'no'... It had to be Kol... And then, Davina screms, obviously Kol follows the sound and finds her, trapped, in a 'circle' and then The Hollow tells him that her and Davina are linked so, if he wants to keep her alive, he'll do what she says.
We all know that Kol is going to do that, nontheless, it's going to be interesting so how they are going to get out of this mess and, overall, how are we going to have Kolvina back! Seriously, that's all that I'm worried about! I'm kidding, but yeah, I really want to see Kolvina back so I'm pretty excited for the next episodes.
Anyway, let me know which are you're thoughts on the episode and which are your predictions for the next ones.
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 9 - "Queen Death"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys!
Here it is brand new The Originals rant.
I got to be honest with you, this episode didn't really stuck in my head, which means I might not cover all the events that happened. I'm going to try to cover as much as I can /as I remember, but just keep that in mind.
Like I said, this episode didn't stuck, which means it wasn't one of my favourites. Don't get me wrong, I liked it anyway, we had a lot of Hope moments, which are my favourites and we finally have the 'real' Hollow, so it's going to be interesting for now on.
But, back to the beginning ot the episode it actually didn't start like the previous one ended, which I guess was just to keep us waiting to find out if Elijah was really dead.
Turns out he wasn't but he was about to, and that was the main concert throughout the whole episode.
So Klaus starts working with Marcel, and then Freya joins them, as well as Vincent and Hayley. You could say that it was an 'all-hand-on-deck' kind of situation because, not only they wanted to get Elijah back, but also they needed to stop The Hollow from getting to her real body.
They do everything they can but, in the end, The Hollow gets her hands on the last bone and she just does some type of magic and the very last shot that we see is her crawling out of a tree, really disgusting!
But, while all of this was happening, they were also trying, like I said, to find a way to save Elijah and, at first, Klaus volunteers himself to be the one to die, and then be stuck inside the necklace that Finn was last season, so Elijah doesn't have to die, but obviously something went wrong and their only option was really to try and put Elijah inside that necklace, which would be risky because he was too weak.
Then, the Hollow does her magic, the necklace breaks and it just left us thinking that he was really dead and, to be honest, I kind of wish he was. I don't know about you guys, but Elijah isn't the same character that I used to love and now basically him and Klaus switched places and... I just think it would be, as much as it would be tragic, it would also be unexpeced and kind of a plot twist, but I don't think they would do that unless Daniel Gillies had other show to film or he wanted to leave the show, which none is happening so, of course, as you can imagine, he is not dead.
And then, we see in the preview that the only way to get him back is to get inside his head and search for him, so that's what Hayley does, and that's basically it.
Like I said, not much, but at the same time, a lot.
Next episode will only hair in June so we have a week without knowing what's going to happen.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts about the episode and I'll see you in my next rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 8 - "Voodoo in My Blood"

Spoiler Alert!

Like promised, here I am with a new The Originals rant.
I must say that I got a bit confused with this episode but, overall, I loved it!
Once again, my favourite person was Hope and my favourite scene was when she saved Klaus.
Anyway, before I start, I'm just going to say that this rant is going to be a little bit all over the place because I have so much to talk about.
Well, lets start with the thing that got me confused - Davina.
Yes, we had Davina back for this episode and, first of all, it was a little bit sad that Josh was the only one that didn't see her. They were really good friends and I think that was a bit sad. Hopefully she will be back for another episode he will get to see her (as well as Kol, because I want a Kolvina reunion) but yeah.
Then, what left me confused. In my last rant I said that she got inside Sofya and that she was the hollow but in this episode she told Hayley and Klaus all the story about how The Hollow was born and everything and that she was the one to create the werewolf curse but then, at the end of the episode Sofya killed Elijah (which left me speachless as well) and Davina said that, in order for them to defeat the hollow they needed one immortal death so... Something here doesn't make sense, so that's why I still consider the theory that Davina might be The Hollow. It would be a little bit out there, I must admit, but something is wrong here so, I don't know. I got a little confused.
Then, my favourite part of the episode - Hope saving Klaus.
I just think that part was so cute and I love anything where Hope is but the fact that she saved Klaus is like Wow. And I get what Hayley said to her, Klaus really must wanted to be the one to do the saving and the fact that it had to be his little girl to do it... It was a little bit 'too much' for him.
And then, of course, I have to mention Alaric! Seriously, this was everything that I wanted! I mean, it could've been better with Caroline, but still, I loved all the Alaric helping Elijah and Marcel and, my favourie, and what I was waiting for, Alaric talking to Hope and then mentioning to Klaus the school and that Hope would be welcome there! Oh my god, I just want to see, in Season 5, Hope in the school playing with the Twins and Klaus and Caroline together like, that would be the perfect ending for The Originals! I don't even care about anything else, to be honest, if you give me that, I'm happy!
Anyway, I guess that's pretty much it. It doesn't seem like it, but we're almost in the end of this Season because we're only going to have 13 episodes, which sucks, to be honest.
Hope you liked the rant and let me know what you thought about this episode!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 7 - "High Water and a Devil's Daughter"

Spoiler Alert!

I'm finally back with the The Originals rants!
First of all, I want to say I'm sorry for being really late with this rant. And, after watching this episode, I really regret not watching it live because it was so good! But I couldn't really watch it live and this week was crazy in terms of University work that I didn't have time until now (which means, I didn't watch last night's episode live either).
With that said, let's get into the proper rant!
Like I said, this episode was great! I don't know if that had an impact on this episode, but this one was directed by Charles Michael Davis, aka Marcel, and actually I really liked Marcel in this episode!
Maybe he did it on purpose, maybe not, I just know that I quite liked him in this one and I loved his interactions with Hope. Hope was certainly my favourite, but she always his so...
Anyway... This scenes happen actually because Freya put a protection spell on the compound, which meant neither Hope, Klaus, Hayley or Marcel could leave the House. Right in the beginning we see Hope playing with some of Marcel's old toys and a few scenes after Hope goes to where Marcel is trapped and starts talking to him. Like I said, those were my favourite scenes and then, when Freaya's plan go a little downhill, and Dominic gets to enter their house, Hope actually frees Marcel and he actually protects her, which I quite liked and all those scenes where great. From her talking to him until Klaus finding her and Marcel on the street and Hope telling Klaus that Marcel's her friend. Those were great scenes!
Meanwhile, Elijah's character just gets more and more awful to me. Seriously, I used to like Elijah so much and right now I totally agree with Vincent when he said that Elijah is doing so bad for the town and everything, that he has no soul. I totally agree with that. But anyway, before they have that conversation, some other stuff happen. Elijah takes matter in his own hands and starts the sacrifice himself by killing four young witches. Vincent didn't want to do it but because of that, he had no other way then doing it because he wouldn't just let those four girls die. Unfortunatelly, things don't go that well and the ancestors are still mad, so they won't help with the sacrifice. With that, Vincent has to come up with something else and he ends up like 'calling' Davina and, since she's basically with the ancestors, she helps him and basically she's the ancestor in charge of New Orleans and their new ally... Or is she?!
And this (besides those scenes with Marcel) is where things start becoming interesting. Not only I was really happy that we were going to have some Davina back but, very close to the end of the episode, we see some type of shadow going to Sophya, taking the Papa Tunde's blade from her and saying that it would take her body now. And, the voice was Davina's! And she also said that the ancestors were trying to take her to the dark place (or whatever) and then, when she got inside Sophya's body, her eyes glowed blue... Like the Hollow! So, this leads me to think that, The Hollow, is actually Davina! I don't know, maybe this is what they are trying to do but... I don't know... I just know that this is very interesting and I can't wait to see more of it!
Then, the other exciting part! Freya ends up finding out about Apisis which, by the end of the episode, she finds out it's an werewolf line, Tyler Lockwood's line! You know what this means?! Alaric is probably back next episode! (Which I'm going to see right after I end this rant.) So, I'm very excited about all of this!
Next episode looks like it's going to be as good as this one so, I can't wait!
Also, before I end this rant, just wanted to say that we finally got confirmation from The CW that The Originals was renewed for Season 5 and you know what this means?! Klaroline is probably going to happen! Seriously, I really hope this happens because I just wanted to have a Season 5 because of that! Well, not only because of that, but that was the main reason, to be honest!
Anyway, that's it guys!
I'm now going to watch the next episode and I'll see you in a few hours!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 6 - "Bag of Cobras"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys. Just like I promised, here I am with the The Originals rant.
And, just like my Supernatural rant, I think this episode of The Originals was a bit of a filler. I enjoyed it anyway, but I feel like not much happen in this episode. Also, I think this episode was basically to let us know more about this Dominic guy, who we just found out about in the previous episode, so it makes sense this episode be a lot about him.
Since we're in this topic already, I'm going to mention right away that I think this guy is going to be The Hollow, like the body were the hollow is going to be. I don't know, I think this episode was a set up for that so, that's my prediction.
Besides that, I need to say that I was really annoyed about the whole thing about Hayley's parents.
I know that in the end we found out that we needed all of that in order to find one of the objects or whatever that they need, but I really think it was too much and, again, such a filler.
Something that I was really sad about was not having Hope in this one.
You know that I'm a sucker for Klaus and Hope scenes and he haven't had those in a while so, it was little bit sad.
And the fact that there was a bunch of things that I didn't like in this episode didn't help.
Talking about things that I didn't like (I'm sorry, I know I'm complaining too much) that girl Sophia... Seriously, she really pisses me off and I just can't wait for her to die!
Althought, I must admit, there was a scene between her and Klaus that, even thought I hated to see them together, I really liked all the shots like the directing and the colour and all of that. Also, loved the music in that scene so, as you can see, it wasn't all bad.
Well, I think that's basically it.
I'm really sorry about that fact that this rant is so short and about the fact that I basically just pointed out things that I didn't like but I was completely honest with you in the beginning and I told you that I didn't really like this episode.
Besides, I'm here to be honest with you and tell you my real thoughts, and if I didn't like one episode, I'll tell you that.
Maybe I'm just being too hard on it, but I didn't really enjoy it so... I'm sorry.
Let me know what you thoughts and I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 5 - "I Hear You Knockin"

Spoiler Alert!

Like I said, here I am with the last The Originals rant.
I don't know what is up with me, but I've been really underwhelmed with this past episodes.
Maybe I was expecting more of this season but, this past two episodes, were a little weak.
I think it has been a lot of the same like, for example, what happened in this episode between Marcel and Klaus... Yes, it was interesting to watch but, most of the parts that were actually interesting were the parts where it was the Hollow messing with their minds, mostly Klaus' (but that might be because I'm Team Klaus and everything to do with him is interesting to me). But, apart from that, the 'actual' fight between Klau and Marcel was a little weak.
I must say, I didn't really want Marcel to die. He's not my favourite character but, I don't know, I think he's important to the storyline and to the series so I seriously hope they don't kill him off.
Also, I hate to see Klaus powerless. One of the reasons why I love Klaus so much is because he's like really powerfull and basically no one can mess with him but, the truth is, the Hollow can mess with him and that is a little distrubing to watch.
Nonetheless, I think the Hollow is a really interesting 'villain' and I'm loving all the darkness in this season.
Something that I was a little sad about this episode was the lack of Hope... I know she's not a Regular and that she can't be the main 'focus' in all episodes but you know that my favourite scenes are the ones between Hope and Klaus and we didn't really have that in this episode, so it was little downside for me...
Oh, and I have to talk about Freya and Keelan...
It is so damn obvioust what they are trying to do... Obviously they are going to become a couple and, to be honest, I don't know how to feel about that.
I love the idea of love and I love to ship people but, those two... I don't know... There's something off for me. Maybe it's just the fact that I don't really like Freya but... I don't see myself shipping them. But, who knows?! Maybe I'll change my mind. I didn't really ship Kolvina in the beginning but look where I am now... I'm the biggest Kolvina shipper!
And, to finish this rant, I need to talk about that ending like, what was that?! A weapon that can kill an Original?! Seriously?! Nope, don't like it!
First, if the Hollow wasn't enough, we need two more villains... That, I think was unecessary... and the the Hollow created a new weapon that can kill an Original?! That is an huge plot whole! Like, I understand they creating a weapon that can kill Marcel... His 'species' is new and they can come up with something but, something other than white oak that can kill the originals?! Nope, I don't buy that. I seriously hate that storyline and I think they are doing an huge mistake with that.
I understand that the Hollow wants them to kill each other but, if there's no white oak, you can't kill and Original, period! Obviously I know they won't kill them because they are the reason this series exist but... To me, that is just a mistake and I won't buy that one bit! I seriously don't like that plot!
Anyway guys, let me know what you thought about this two episodes and tell me what you think about this new weapon. I would love to know your thoughts about it.
Unfortunatelly we won't have a new episode this week so, new The Originals rant next week so, I'll see you then!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 4 - "Keepers of the House"

Spoiler Alert!

Finally here I am to update you with the latest two The Originals episodes.
I must say that this episode was a little bit weak in my opinion.
Directing wise it was great, though. I think Joseph Morgan did an amazing job directing this episode because, being an audiovisual and multimedia student, I pay attention to all the scenes and photography and all that and I think this episode had a lot of great scenes photography and directing wise.
Script wise I think it was little bit weak, starting right at the beginning of the episode.
They started it right away with that scene of the birds falling around Hope and I though they were going to save that scene for later. I understand why they did that, I just think it was a little bit anti-climatic.
Besides that, all the episode was a little bit anti-climatic.
Once again, I understand, I just thought it was weak. I understand that we needed to find out more about the Hollow and all of the 'darkness' and the 'villain' in this season, and in that, the episode was good. I got to understand a little bit better all this mythology because all I knew was that symbol, and it was from Hemlock Grove and, from what I've understood in this episode, the meaning behind that is a lot different in both shows, so that was good.
Something else that I realized in this episode was that they are putting a lot of mythology in this season. They are messing with a lot of things at the same time which, in part, is good but, at the same time, is a little bit confusing.
And, once again, storywise, the only parts that I really liked were the Klaus/Hope scenes. I just can't help it, they are too cute and Joseph Morgan as 'Daddy Klaus' is phenomenal!
I also really enjoyed that last part of the episode were Hayley says to Elijah that they need to stop putting their family above everyone else. I'm not Hayley's biggest fan, but I really think we needed someone to realize that because I think that is going to be important from now on.
Two things that I didn't really enjoy in this episode were Elijah and Freya.
You all know by now that I hate Freya but this season she has really been a b*tch. Ok, that last part of the episode was 'nice' but overall, she has really been pissing me off and, I seriously don't care if I get hate for this but, I really hope she is the one to die at the end of this season.
I've already heard that someone is going to die and I really hope it's her. There's a possibility it is her because Riley Voelkel is brunette now so that might mean Freya dies?! Who knows...
The second thing that I didn't like was Elijah. I already said this in previous rants but Elijah has been acting really strange in this season and he's not the Elijah I liked. I hope the conversation he had with Hayley in the end of this episode changes him and makes him go back to what he was because I think that's one of the reasons why they've put that conversation on the script, to change Elijah 'back to normal' so, let's hope that!
And yeah, that's basically it now.
I don't think this was a strong episode. It was good not just what I thought it would be. Hopefully the next one will be better because I feel like now we have a good 'base' to start with the darkness and with the main 'bad things' so, let's see what the next episode brings!
As you know, the next episode already aired so I'm going to watch that next and I'll be back to tell you what I thought about it in a few hours!
Until then...
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 3 - "Haunter of Ruins"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys! I'm sorry I took some time with this rant but you know the deal so let's just get on with the episode.
Finally, this season, I got to watch an episode live and live tweet so, if you're following me on twitter you might have seen some of my reactions.
Overall I thought it was a good episode, although I liked the previous one a lot more.
Basically the only thing that I really liked about this episode was Klaus and Hope. We got to see a little bit of them in the end of last episode, but it was only Klaus watching Hope sleep, so we didn't have much interaction between them. But this episode they finally got to interact and, although the first time they actually meet wasn't as iconic as I thought it would be, the next scenes were so good!
Seriously, Klaus as a father is the best thing ever! Just like in the last episode we saw a completely different side of Klaus, with him being so vulnerable with Camille, in this episode we saw the 'fatherly' side of him, which is equally as good.
And yeah, that was basically the only thing that I really enjoyed about the episode.
We also got a little bit more into the whole witchy thing that is happening to kids and we actually find out that it was connected to Vincent and his ex-wife/ex-girlfriend Eva and their unborn child. We also see that someone is casting some spell on some kids which, by the end of the episode, Vincent gets to free basically all of them, except for one, Hope. The Hope thing we will see in the next episode, so I'm curious to know more about that.
Until now, I'm still pretty confused about all of this. I even though about rewatching the episode but I was already late with this rant that I decided to just write about that I really understood and I might end up rewatching the episode (or not, who knows?!).
Then, there was something that I really hated in this episode - Freya.
I never really liked her but in this episode she really pissed me of, with all that stuff about keeping Killan (?) locked up! Luckily, Hayley intervened and let her go, which is one point in favor of Hayley, who I don't like that much but with this I'm starting to like a little bit more.
Oh, we also got a little bit of Haylijah, which I don't like as well, so no need to talk about and then something else that I didn't like as well, Rebekah and Kol leaving! Like, Why?! Why you gotta do that to me? I mean, I understand about Claire Holt, I know she's really busy with a lot of other shows and all but Nate Buzolic?! C'mon! Seriously, I still have a little bit of hope that he will be back and will try to bring Davina back as well. I need my Kolvina back! There's no good ships on the show right now and basically the only ones that I'm shipping, not romantically, are Klaus and Hope. All the other ships are rubbish and I just need some good ships on the show.
And yeah, that's basically it...
I know, not much but, like I said, there wasn't much that I really enjoyed about this episode so... We're going to leave the rant here.
Let me know in the comments your thoughts about the episode and I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 2 - "No Quarter"

Spoiler Alert!

Finally, this rant is up and Oh My God, why did I wait so long to watch this episode?!
Seriously, this episode was so much better than the first one!
This seems to always happen to me because I remember with TVD was the same thing. I guess I just watch too many previews that I basically know everything and aren't surprised at all. To be honest, there wasn't many surprising things in this episode, but there were a lot of moments that I liked and a lot of things that I have strong opinions about so lets just get right into it.
Let's start with my favourite part of the episode - the Klamille scenes!
We already knew that Camille was going to be back this season, at least for one episode, because we saw it in the previews and we also kind of already knew that it was going to be some type of hallucination or something because, well, she's dead. And that was exactly what happened.
We saw Camille in Klaus' head, while he's suffering because of the Papa Tunde's Blade.
I liked this scenes so much not only because I ship(ed) Klamille but also because this scenes showed a lot of vulnerability from Klaus and that shows a lot of who he is and how strong he is in fact.
Klaus isn't known for showing vulnerability so, when this happens, it's amazing and, to be honest, really cute! Seriously, Joseph Morgan did an amazing job with this scenes! So as Leah Pipes, obviously, but Joseph, damn, this was really good!
My next favourite part of this episode I think it's really a surprise to you - Kol!
You know I talked a lot of sh*t in my last rant because Kol wasn't in the season premiere but he is in this episode and I'm so glad he is! I think Kol is such an underrated character! Seriously, I don't know why there isn't as many people liking him as there is people like Elijah. I mean, I can't compare him to Klaus because Klaus is Klaus, but like Elijah... Elijah is just as good as Kol and, in my opinion Kol is even better, which brings me to my next topic, this time not really a good thing.
I'm not really liking Elijah in this season so far. I really don't know why because I've always liked him but this season, I don't know, I don't feel the same way about him. I don't know if it is because he's not with Hayley for real and I don't ship them, or if it is because I'm still a bit bitter about what he did to Marcel, although I'm not really into Marcel either... I don't know! I just know that I'm not enjoying him so far and I even think that he's starting to be a little bit overrated.
And, since I talked about Marcel, I want to talk about that scene where Marcel 'let the Mikaelsons go'....
As you can imagine, I'm not going to say good things about Marcel because 1) I'm not his biggest fan, and 2) Really?! Did he really say that he was being merciful? Like the Mikaelsons couldn't give him a fight... I'm not saying that Marcel wouldn't win, because he probably would, but really?! It just left me a bit annoyed.
And that was basically the only scene that 'bothered' me, all the others were great, really!
Oh, and I can't finish this rant without talking about two more parts of this episode that I really enjoyed!
First one all that 'snake' symbol thing storyline! I'm so intrigued! What was that thing that attacked Vincent? I really don't have any idea where this storyline might go but I think this is going to be the main thing from now on. Now that Klaus is finally free, and since Hope is also having some type of visions of that symbol, I think everyone is going to start working towards finding out what happens and, somehow, I think Marcel and the Mikaelsons are going to have to work together so, that's going to be interesting.
And, last, I need to talk about that last scene! Klaus seeing Hope grown up for the first time! It was so cute! It didn't happen like I thought it would but it was so cute anyway! Now I just can't wait for her to meet him and that is going to be really cute! I just hope she isn't like scared of him or anything because that not only would break Klaus' heart but also break my heart so let's hope that doesn't happen.
I guess that's it for this episode!
Once again, I'm sorry I took this long with this update. I hope you enjoyed it anyway and let me know what you thought of the episode!
I'll see you in my next rant!
Love,
Daniela

The Originals | Season 4 Episode 1 - "Gather Up the Killers"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys! So, here's something new!
That's right, I've decided to start doing The Originals rants!
The truth is, I just loved last season of The Originals and I basically used to talk a little bit about each episode in my TVD rants (when both series aired on Friday, one after other) so I just thought, this season, I need to rant about The Originals! And, since TVD ended, I thought this should be a great 'substitute', since I won't be doing TVD rants anymore.
Also, I'm going to live tweet during The Originals as well, just like I used to do with TVD. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch the premiere live because I didn't realize the time had changed in the US, which meant that, here in Portugal, the episode, this week, wasn't on at 1am like it used to be, but at midnight, so I missed it. Anyway, next week the time is back to 1am because the time changes here in Portugal so, it's all fine.
Now, let's get into the proper rant.
I have to say that I was a bit disappointed with this episode. It was good and all but, I feel like premiere episodes aren't that exciting anymore. Maybe it's just me but I watch basically all the previews and stuff they put out and, when it comes to premieres, they put out a lot of stuff, which meant that I already knew basically all the episode, just in a different order. The only 'major' part that I didn't know anything about, which was one of my favourites, was Christina Moses' character (which I can't remember the name of, right now). I knew Christina was coming to the Originals and I already knew her from Containment so I was really excited to see which type of character she would be. I mean, I already knew she was going to be a werewolf, but I wanted to see how she was personality wise. And I liked her! We didn't see enough of her for me have formed a 'proper' opinion but we'll see...
The other part that I really liked was, obviously, Klaus! He was chained up and all but that fight with Alistair?! Damn, that was so good! That is the Klaus I know and love! Seriously, loved that part!
But, of course, there where some things that I didn't really like about the episode. I mean, not that I didn't like, but I was a bit disappointed. Like, where was Kol?! Kol is my favourite Original and we saw Elijah and Freya come back to life but what about Kol and Rebekah?! I really wanted to see Kol and Rebekah! I seriously hope they will be on next episodes...
Also, something that I thought would be more exciting was Hope. I think we didn't get enought of her so I also hope we have more of her in next episodes. I mean, we sure will because I think she's going to be very important in this season so... Yeah, can't wait for that!
And then, the ending! I know that symbol from Hemlock Grove but I can't really remember what it meant in that series... I don't even know if here it will have the same meaning but, I'm really intrigued about that... Looks like it's going to be a good season.. Let's see!
So yeah, I guess that's it for this first The Originals rant!
I know it's not as long as TVD ones but I still hope you like it. Let me know your thoughts about the episode and, if remember what that symbol means, tell me because I seriously can't remember.
I'll see you later with a new The Flash rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 7 Episode 21 - "Requiem for a Dream"

Spoiler Alert!

I can't believe next episode is going to be a season finale.
This season have gone by so fast!
But, anyway, that's not what I'm here to talk about. I'm here to talk about how this episode was... and how amazing it was!
Once again, this episode was directed by Paul Wesley, and he also does an amazing job with 'his' episodes and, of course, this one wasn't exception.
The episode begins with a rather weird scene. Were were 'inside' Bonnie's head and we were seeing everything that she ws going through and, for moments, I believed that everything that was happening was true but, luckily, it wasn't. Nonetheless, the things didn't really go that well.
So, it seems like Bonnie is struggling to wake up. She's fighting the urge to kill all her friends and she even rather die than wake up and be after all of them.
In order to wake her up, they decide to get inside her head, as a dream, and try to wake her up. Let's just say that basically all of them have to try it. Caroline is the first one though. They thought that, because she was Bonnie's friend before she became a vampire, that might make Bonnie see that Vampires aren't that bad and maybe she would wake up and not want to kill them. Well, the things don't go as plannes. She ends up stabbing Caroline, in the dream, but Caroline ends up marked by it in the real life, which means, when Bonnie wakes up, she will be the first person Bonnie will go after.
Stefan warns Caroline about that but she just doesn't care and Stefan ends up 'vervaining' her and kidnaping her.
So, since Caroline couldn't wake Bonnie up, the 'next one in line' was Enzo. Enzo's her boyfriend and that might work. (By this time, I knew that it would be Damon the only one to wake her up but... Let's just keep going.) They have a pretty cute moment in the dream (Bonnie and Enzo) but... She ends up stabbing him anyway and, well... Enzo is marked, just like Caroline.
The last one to try is Damon, and Damon tries a different approach, which I quite liked! He makes her so angry saying a lot of things about the good times he had with Elena and Bonnie ends up trying to kill him and then... She wakes up!
Well, it wasn't the best thing to do, to be honest, but at least it worked.
Bonnie wakes up pretty angry at Damon and, even though she didn't mark him, she's going after him first. And that's when Matt comes into 'action'. He tries to change her mind and, he kind of does, apart from Damon. Bonnie tells Matt that she won't go after any of them but only if they (her and Matt) kill Damon first. Matt agrees with it, just for us to find out later that it was kind of a trap and, when she's about to kill Damon, Matt shots her with something to put her down (not kill her).
Anyway, meanwhile all of this is happening in Mystic Falls (yes, that's right, we are back to Mystic Falls), Stefan tries to make Caroline understand that she has to run, because Bonnie is after het, but Caroline doesn't want to. She ends up, then, realizing that Stefan was right and they finally have that talk that everyone (apart from me) were waiting for and so, Stefan and Caroline get on the run.
To end it all, we see that might be a chance that Bonnie get back to her old self.
Enzo finds out that, if they unlink Bonnie's life to the last everlasting, that might break the link that she has with Rayna and make her stop going after vampires and just be the witch Bonnie that she is. But, the thing is, the last everlasting is inside the armory and... well... They opened the vault and god knows what was inside it. And I'm sure that's where the next season is going to!
I always thought that vault storyline was pretty interesting and I'm almost 100% sure that that is going to be the main storyline for next season so, my predictions are that they will break the link betweetn Bonnie and Rayna, and Bonnie will be back to her old self but something really bad is going to happen while they are inside the Armory.
And that was what happened in The Vampire Diaries. But, I always have to talk a litte bit about The Originals so... here are my thoughts.
I'm so mad about it right now! This episode left me really mad and sad at the same time! I predicted that they would kill Davina but... I never thought it would really happen! And not like this! Plus, they had to kill my two favourite characters, Davina and Lucien! Seriously, so done! When I thought that this is going to be my favourite season... I mean, it still is but... I just can't believe Lucien is really dead. And, even thought I never really liked Marcel, I'm so in Marcel's side right now. I just want, at least, Freya dead and, well.. I don't really want Klaus or Elijah or Kol dead but... I'm so mad at Elijah right now too that... I don't even know anymore...
Anyway, you got it already so, let me know in the comments your thoughts about both The Vampire Diaries and The Originals episodes and please, tell me I'm not the only one that loved Lucien!
That's it. We'll see you next week the TVD's Season Finale (can you hear me crying?!)
Love,
Daniela.

The Originals | Season 3 Episode 14 - "A Streetcar Named Desire"

Spoiler Alert!

So, here's the second part rant of the crossover and, I might say, the most exciting one!
In this second part, we don't focus so much on Rayna Cruz. Instead, the focus is the prophecy, afterall, this is still an The Originals episode.
Let's just say that, Aya and Aurora keep going with their plan and this is the episode where everything goes down.
Obviously, Davina is helping The Strix, afterall, she wants Kol back and this is the only way.
Luckly, Stefan Salvatore is in town and it's basically because of him that everything works out fine in the end. Klaus helps Stefan and Stefan helps Klaus.
This was pretty interesting to see because, like I said in my previous rant, I kind of missed them together, even thought I didn't know I liked them together so much.
So, it turns out that Freya makes a kind of spell to hide Stefan's mark from Rayna Cruz, but a lot is going on with The Mikaelsons and with The Strix and Elijah and Klaus end up in an 'imaginary world' with Aurora and Tristan, while The Strix and it's coven work on the spell to break the sirelines.
Hayley then finds Lucien (finally Lucien is back in the game! I really missed him!) locked up and then brings him to the Mikaelson Mansion. There, Lucien and Marcel discuss bout the sireline and if things go wrong, they will end up dying, and that's when Stefan joins them, afterall, he's part of Klaus sireline as well.
This was one of my favourite scenes because Stefan has always been my favourite and, in this season of The Originals, I've been liking a lot Lucien, so I was really excited to see a scene with both of them.
Anyways, with Stefan's help, they work out a plan! Since Rayna Cruz is after Stefan, they decide to break into the The Strix's 'mansion' and then there Stefan makes his mark visible again, so Rayna Cruz goes after him.
The plan ends up working, but not everything ends well. They are able to stop from breaking Elijah's sireline but not Klaus and so, now Marcel, Lucien, Stefan and every other vampire that was part of Klaus' sireline, is now free!
And, after that, after realising that, Stefan leaves, which made me really sad because I was really enjoying this crossover, but not before Klaus says some words to him. Klaus tells Stefan to take care of Caroline (or something along those lines) and Stefan tells him the same thing but about Hayley, which was kind of cute and funny at the same time, since Phoebe Tonkin is Paul Weasley's real girlfriend.
Anyways... The episode was about to end when...
We see Davina doing the spell to bring back Kol, and...
KOL IS BACK!
I'm sorry about the Caps Lock but, you know I'm a huge Kolvina shipper and, to be honest, I thought they were going to drag this Kol story for the rest of the season, since Nate is in other show but... I guess I was wrong! And I'm so glad I was wrong because Kolvina is finally happening for real!
I'm just so damn excited for the next episode!
Please, tell me I'm not the only one so happy about all of this! Let me know all your thoughts in the comments!
Unfortunetely, this crossover is, well, over, so I probably won't talk much about The Originals but, if you would like to see more TO rant, tell me because I would love to make them, seriously, I would love!
Tell me everything in the comments.
Love,
Daniela.
