The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 16 - "I Was Feeling Epic"

Spoiler Alert!

Finally, here I am, with the final TVD rant.
I got to be honest with you, I didn't rewatch the episode a second time. I mean, I kind of did, when I was editing my latest youtube video, which was a reaction to this last episode (http://www.youtube.com/danixinhahhh if you want to watch it), but I didn't fully watched it a second time. I'm still going to, because I feel like I need it to have closer, to finally accept it, accept that it has ended and be ok with that. This post is a step towards that, and that's one of the reasons why I'm posting this right now. I owe it to you and, besides, I just need to do this, like I said, to have 'closer' so, here I am.
I'm going to start right now by saying that I enjoyed the ending. I feel like it was appropriate and it felt right. But, it was I always said. I called it guys! Since episode 9 I said that Stefan was going to be the one to die and later I even said that it was going to be because of the cure and, guess what?! That's what happened. Stefan was the one to die in the end. It didn't go down like I imanaged it would, that's for sure, but I always knew Stefan was going to be the one to die and I standed by that since episode 9... Nonetheless, it was extremely painful to me. If you watched my reaction you can see that. I cried tons and I spent the next few days crying as well so, the last episode had the effect that I wanted. It's really weird to say this but when I cry, that's a sign that the episode was good so. Anyway, let's get into the actual episode.
We start the episode right where the previous one left off and we jump right into the part where Bonnie is 'dead' and both Stefan and Caroline try to revive her. While she is 'dead', she gets in a between life and death state and sees Elena. That was one of the scenes that was in one of the previous so, this wasn't really a surprise to me. Besides, I new that Bonnie wasn't really going to die because we had photos of her in other scenes in that episode so...
Next, we see that scene that we have been seeing for ages in the previews and, from the previous, we have always thought that it was Elena. Well... As soon as I saw this scene in the beginning of the episode I noticed something off and right away I thought of Katherine and guess what? It really was Katherine.
Then, Katherine tells us all about Cade and the fact that as soon as she stepped into Hell that she had Cade wrapped around her finger that was why Cade wanted Damon and Stefan, because she wanted them. In that moment, Stefan stabs her with the dagger made from her bones, but she comes back to Damon later.
Meanwhile, we are still dealing with the fact that Vicki is going to ring that bell and bring hellfire to Mystic Falls, distroying the town and everyone in it. I think this was kind of a plot hole but I get how they tried to cover it up. There was a way that no one from our loved characters would die and also not have hellfire in Mystic Falls and just get rid of Katherine and Vicki. They just had to tie them up, somewhere and yeah... They wouldn't have to deal with them. Maybe if we had another season they would do that, because that would leave some loose ends now, if the series finale, so the way they tried to cover it up was that Vicki wanted to die from the hellfire so she wouldn't have to return to hell, and having her saying that to Matt led us thinking that he doesn't want his sister going through all the pain in hell so he's willing to let her die so she isn't in pain. I get that, I just think there was a way to not have people dying but yeah, this is The Vampire Diaries and someone has always to die.
Anyway, to protect the people in town, Matt and the police evacute the town, once again, just like last season.
Alaric, Bonnie, Caroline and the Twins are some of the people that leave town but then, Bonnie comes up with a plan to use her magic to reverse the hellfire back into hell, destroying it an Katherine.
And then comes two of the most painful/beautiful scenes...
Damon is the tunnels with Katherine under the Armory to make sure she is in hell when Bonnie does the 'spell'. But then, Stefan shows up and says that he wants to be the one to sacrifice himself. We have this amazing Brother scene were both of them say why they should be the ones sacrificing and, when I think Stefan is going to be the sacrificing himself, because Stefan is now human, Damon compells him and tells him to leave.
Then, comes probably my favourite scene this episode! Vicki rings the bell the last time, hellfire is 'free' and then... Bonnie stops it! And the most beautiful thing is when she thinks she can't do it anymore, all the other Bennett witches appear, including Grams and help he and it was just so beautiful! That's when I started crying.
We then have a commercial break and, when we get back, we see Stefan with Elene in the highschool and that's when we learn what really happened in the tunnels.
At first, we are led to believe that Damon died with Katherine, but that's when Stefan tells Elena that Damon didn't really compell him, that he have been taking vervain. He then comes across an ambulance and then takes a bit of his blood (with the cure), gets back to the tunnels and injects Damon with his blood, passing on the cure to him and yeah, sacrificing himself so they could kill Katherine.
Like I said, I new that this was going to happen. For so long I said that Stefan was going to die because he was going to give the cure to him. I didn't think this was going to happen like this, but it was basically what I said was going to die. And a lot of people tried to tell me wrong, because Stefan kept being almost killed all season and people didn't believe he was going to be the one to die but... he did, and it was so hard for me, even though I was expecting this.
Needless to say that when Stefan talked to Elena was in that between life and death 'dimension' but he did ended up dying.
And then, we see Stefan joining Lexi and that was also one of my favourite parts! I love Lexi and they had to have her in this last episode.
We then have a bit of a flash forward (don't really know how long) and we see Bonnie breaking Elena's spell that's when Elena really wakes up and reunites with her (Bonnie), Damon, Caroline and Alaric.
Then, we have another flashforward and see like how life went on for each character. Alaric and Caroline did come up with the school for supernatural children, calling it the Salvatore Boarding School, in the Salvatore boarding house, and Caroline also receives a donation from, none other than Klaus Mikaelson! What we all have been waiting for! Although, we do know that Caroline won't be in this season of The Originals because they have already wrapped but Julie Plec says that she might be in the next season, if there is a Season 5 so... Hopefully there is because I need a bit of TVD in The Originals!
Anyway, we also see that Jeremy and Dorian are working in that school, which is also nice, and we also see like a 'ghost' type of thing of Liz, which was also pretty cute.
Besides Liz, we also see Vicki, Tyler and Jo looking after some people (all those like 'ghost' figures).
Vicki and Tyler are looking after Matt, who has his own bench in Mystic Falls and is going to be Mayor. And yes guys, Matt did make out alive, and human, from all of this so he is the ultimate survivor.
And Jo is looking after Alaric and her twins, obviously.
We see that Bonnie is travelling the world, which isn't really the ideal ending for Bonnie but at least she isn't dead and yeah, we do have a Delena ending. They didn't show us that but apparently Damon and Elena marry after Elena finishes Med School and then they move to Mystic Falls.
In the very end, we have another 'flashforward' type of scene, where we see what happened after having lived their lives, basically in the afterlife. We see that Elena reunites with her parents, John and Jenna, while Damon reunites with Stefan.
And that's how the series end.
The ultimate message is about finding peace and that peace is being with the ones you love, with your family, and so that's why both Elena and Damon reunite with their families in the after life.
I think this was a really sweet ending and this opens so many doors for, not just like a 10 years reunion episode, but also for some spin offs, like one about the school for supernatural children, that would be really cool.
I must say, I'm bit sad now that I got through all that happened in the episode. I'm happy with the way it ended but, once again, I've been with this show for 8 years, I was 13 when I started watching it and now I'm 21. It's been in my life forever so it's really sad to say goodbye.
I will for sure rewatch all the seasons, once I'm fully recovered and, besides, I never read the books and I do have them so, I think I'm going to do that, although I know they are a bit different.
So, yeah... I guess this is it guys.
I wish I had started this blog sooner because I would have loved to rant about every single season and every single episode but, that didn't happen so... This was great and the blog is still going on, obviously, just not with TVD rants...
The good news is that I'm going to start ranting about The Originals so, at least I will have that!
I guess I will see you in my next The Originals rant!
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 15 - "We're Planning a June Wedding"

Spoiler Alert!

Here we are, with the penultimate TVD rant...
You don't even know how much this pains me to say. I grew up with this show and knowing that it is ending... It leaves me so sad.
But we still have one episode left, so I'll save all the cheesy things for the last rant. Now, let's talk about last night's episode.
I have to say that it was kind of disappointing to me. Not that it was bad, because it wasn't, and it had such a surprising ending, but I felt a little betrayed. I'm just going to get this out of the way...
Basically we didn't really have Katherine back... Supposedly she is back, but she didn't appear in the episode, so I felt a little betrayed about that because I really wanted to see Nina Dobrev as Katherine. Hopefully, we will see her as Katherine in the last episode. Let's pray.
Apart from that, it was a good episode. Not as good as the last one, at least, not to me. Maybe it was because we didn't have more Kai in this episode or it was because this episode was basically all about Steroline, and you know how I feel about Steroline.
We also have Kelly Donovan, Matt's mum, back, who says that wants to be a better mum to him but we soon realize that she's working with/for Katherine after dying two years ago. And then, we move on to the main plot of the episode - Steroline Wedding - in a way to lure Katherine out.
Apart from that, Stefan and Damon also make a weapon made of Katherine's bones, just like the weapon that killed Cade, to try and kill her as soon as she's out of hell.
Meanwhile, we also have a lot of dram between Bonnie and Caroline, because Bonnie is still mad with Stefan and she tells Caroline that she can't be at the wedding. Bu after talking to Enzo, she ended up going, which I knew had to happen. Bonnie couldn't miss Caroline's Wedding, even if it's a 'kind of' fake wedding.
And, since we are already in this topic, I have a lot strong opinions about how Bonnie is acting. Don't get me wrong, I completely understand why she's acting like this, and I know she's the character that have been through the worst stuff, always sacrificing herself but... C'mon! If she can forgive Damon she can also forgive Stefan. I know that Stefan killed the love of ther life but still... Stefan is human now and she knows that it wasn't really Stefan and that Stefan isn't like this so... She should forgive him...
Anyway, back to the wedding...
Even before the wedding starts, Kelly slits Peter's throat in an attempt to get the dagger from him.
Then, they move on to the actual wedding and, everyone is waiting for Katherine to arrive but... She never does. So Stefan and Caroline really keep going with it and get actually married.
I don't know how I feel about this.
I know most people must have loved it but... I don't like Steroline and, somehow, this doesn't seem real to me. Maybe I'm just in denial, but something tells me that something else is going to happen in the last episode and they won' be together. Ultimately, everyone wants Klaroline and wants Caroline in The Originals so... Hopefully Steroline won't be endgame. Besides, I still think that Stefan is going to die in the end so... Although, this episode gave a lot of hints that it's Damon who's going to die in the end.
I don't know... There's so many theories out there! The truth is, Damon's death would be really unexpected, and some people said that it's one of the brothers who's going to die. But, there's still some people that think that's Bonnie who's going to die but... I don't know, I'm really confused about this...
Back to the episode...
During the reception, Bonnie and the twins go to the Lockwood House to go to the bathroom, meanwhile, at the actual 'venue' of the reception, Kelly interrupts Damon's speech saying that she started a gas leak at the Lockwood House.
Suddenly, the fire starts and there's kind of an explosion.
That was one of the most horrifing moments! I was really concerned about Bonnie and the twins! By now, we don't really know what the writers are going to do so, anything can happen.
Luckily, the twins siphon magic from Bonnie and the three of them use their powers to get out of there, making Bonnie loose her connection with Enzo in the process.
In the very end, Kelly reveals Katherine's true plan and that was such a plot twist to me! Never thought this would happen!
Turns out Kelly, and that fire, was just to distract them, while Katherine ressurected Vicki Donovan to go and ring the Maxwell bell and bring hellfire to Mystic Falls. In this moment, we see Vicki starting to ring the bell while both Bonnie and Kelly fall on the ground, with their nose bleeding, making everyone think they're dying.
To be honest, I don't think Bonnie is really dead. First, it wouldn't make sense her to die just like that; Second, it would be just wrong for Bonnie's character and Third, Bonnie is in the stills of the last episode so... She's definitely not dead. At least, not yet... We'll see in the last episode.
And I guess that's it... Overall, this was kind of a pointless episode... I think they just did it to make the Steroline fans happy and to make that 'June Wedding' that everyone have been talking about but yeah, it was nice, not just that exciting.
Next TVD rant is going to be the last one and I'm just not okay with that.
Also, I would like to tell you guys that next week I won't be live tweeting. Instead, I'm going to film a video reacting to the episode, which is going up on my channel either Saturday or Sunday so... This week was my last time live tweeting during TVD, which is so sad...
It's going to be so emotional.
Let's see what happens.
I'll see you next week with the very last TVD rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 14 - "It's Been a Hell of a Ride"

Spoiler Alert!

So, like promised, here I am with the TVD rant.
I took a bit longer with this one because lately I've been wanting to watch TVD's episodes twice and I was only able to rewatch it tonight, so that's why. But what matters is that the rant is here, so let's get on to it.
Just like this past episodes, this one was another amazing episode! But, with Kai, what would you expect?!
I think I don't need to say this but my favourite part of this episode, once again, was Kai. Unfortunately, this time he didn't have as much scenes and in the previous episode, still they were pretty important and, that last scene, that will talk about later, was epic!
Anyway, we start the episode fiding out what Kai did in the end of last week's episode. Turns out, Kai gave Elena to Cade for some odd reason that I didn't quite understand. This way, Cade basically 'black mails' Damon. Since Damon is basically dying, Cade says that he lets him live and gives him Elena in exchange for the dagger that can kill him, which is with Kai.
To this, Damon and Stefan start working on a plan to get the dagger from Kai and then to give to Cade.
They do find Kai, because Kai has still been tweeting all this time and, I need to talk about this scene. Kai singing! Chris Wood finally sang on the show! I've been waiting for this moment since Season 6 and it finally happened! You don't know how happy I got when I saw that scene! Sure it wasn't the best singing, because I know Chris can sing a lot better but it was still so good to see him sing in the show! Finally Julie heard my prayers and did basically everything that I wanted to happen in season 6.
Anyway, back to the story...
Stefan finds Kai in the Karaoke bar and another part that I loved was Kai finding out about Stefan being human now, that was priceless!
So, Stefan and Damon eventually get Kai and the dagger and they lock him up at the Armory.
Keeping up with the Kai part of the story... I kind of predicted what happened. Caroline did go to Kai for help about the twins but they didn't do a deal or anything, instead, Kai just told Caroline that the reason why they were all over the place with their powers was because they were in the Armory and that Armory not only has a lot of magical things in there but, the actual walls are made of magic, to which Kai siphons that magic, breaks the glass of the room he was in and snaps Caroline's neck and goes after the twins.
The whole scene with him going after the twins was another great scene because it was basically a parallel to when he was after his brothers and Jo. Those scenes, once again, were priceless and this whole episode gave me a lot Kai feels, more than what I already have.
Meanwhile, back to the Cade storyline... Damon and Stefan are going to meet with Cade, but both of them have different plans. Damon plans to just give him the dagger in exchange for Elena, but Stefan planson killing him and ends up enjaction Damon with vervain because he isn't on board with his plan.
Right that moment I thought that was such a bad plan, but turns out, Stefan had an actually pretty good plan, because he had a conversation with Alaric ealier and, when Stefan was meeting with Cade, Alaric rang the Maxwell bell, and that affected Cade, making him weak and givin Stefan a chance to attack him. Unfortunatelly, something had to happen. The twins end up calling Alaric because Kai is after them so, obviously, Alaric just forgets about his 'deal' with Stefan and goes to 'save' his kids.
Obviously, Cade overpowers Stefan and, when he's about to kill him, Damon appears and says that he already has the dagger so he should let them go. Cade agrees, but with a twist. Damon must choose between Elena or Stefan, and set's Elena's coffin on fire.
Bonnie senses that something is wrong, have some visions of Elena's coffin on fire and just leaves to try and find them and what is happening with Elena.
In that moment, I must say, I wasn't worried one bit about Damon, Elena or Stefan. The truth is that they are all in the preview for the final episode, which meant none of them would die, so I was just hoping that Bonnie would get there on time and do something.
Unfortunatelly, she doesn't get there that early, and Damon ends up choosing himself and killing himself.
Then, we see Cade in his 'limbo' place, with Damon and that's when Bonnie arrives. So, now, I think that Damon is going to Bonnie's dimension, because, once again, he's going to be in the final episode, which means that he isn't really going to die. But that's not what happens. Instead, Stefan appears and kills Cade! Stefan freaking kills Cade! That I wasn't expecting at all! I still thought that we had to deal with Cade for one more episode but no, he died and I have to give some props to the special effects team because that scene with Cade dying was so good! Seriously, loved it!
Then, comes my least favourite part of the episode, which was Stefan re-proposing to Caroline, which she accepts. At this moment, there where only about 3 minutes for the episode to end so I thought that they had to have another scene, I big bang to end the episode with, and they did!
In the end, we see Bonnie trapping Kai in another prison world, which is kind of a bummer because I wanted an happy ending for Kai. Nonethelless, it was great because first, we had a Bonkai scene, which I needed, second, Kai isn't really dead, so this leaves the door open for them to bring him to The Originals or something and third, the big reveal at the end!
It turns out Hell isn't really gone and is in someonelse's hands. the myth, the legend, the baddest bitch of all - Katherine Pierce!
That was such a plot twist! I mean, I was really hoping to see Katherine but, Katherine being the one to rule Hell now?! Didn't expect that at all! Which is actually pretty good because I've been making so many theories and, although I like to be right, I like to be surprised as well, so this was really good!
Besides, Kai also said that he lost a bet, which I think was with Katherine and, you know what this means?! Kai and Katherine have been talking in hell! And, although I know we are not having a scene between Kai and Katherine in the actual episodes, I just wanted like a deleted scene of them talking in hell or like one of those videos like the one that Chris and Ian filmed about the Delena rain kiss and that they showed on Comic Con?! I would love to have one of those with Kai and Katherine! Please Julie Plec, make that happen!
Anyway... That's basically it guys. I'm really loving thise season and I just can't believe we are only having two more episodes. This leaves me so sad! I've been depressing so much about the ending of the series. I just know I'm going to be a mess when the series actually ends...But, until then, we still have two more episodes and two more rants so... Stay tuned for that!
Don't forget to let me know which are your thoughts and predictions for the last two episodes and I'll see you tomorrow with the very delayed Arrow rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 13 - "The Lies Will Catch Up with You"

Spoiler Alert!

Oh my god, this series have been crazy!
Seriously, this past three episodes (including this one), have left me shook! I swear, I haven't even been able to sleep wel after I watch the episodes!
Still, this one was a little bit more 'chill' than the previous ones, the only thing making this episode bomb was, obviously, my dear sweet little devil Malachai Parker!
This episode was basically all about Kai and, the it ended (and the preview) made it clear that we are going to have a lot more of Kai, at least, in the next episode. I bet we are going to have Kai until the very last episode because he's going to be the one to bring Elena back so... At least, Kai is going to be in the next two episodes (I'm almost 100% sure of that).
So, right in the beginning of the episode we learn that Kai came back just lik Cade did, when the Maxwell bell rang 11 times, and not because of Bonnie, which was what most of us (including me) were thinking. We also learn, through a Kai flashback, which I thought was pretty cool, that Kai isn't fully alive. We see in the flashback that he can't taste or feel anything, which means part of him is in the real world and another part is still in hell, and that's why he needs Damon and Alaric's help.
I knew that Kai wanted something. He wasn't just there to help kill Cade from the goodness of his heart. Obviously, Damon and Alaric don't really 'need' his help to kill Cade so Kai has to offer something else, so he says he'll bring Elena back, which makes Damon so much more interest in the offer.
Meanwhile, Caroline and Matt have to deal with something else. Because Stefan is now human, everyone that he ever compelled started remembering and so Caroline has to deal with those people. And this leads me to what happened to Stefan.
We find out in this episode that it was Dorian who kidnapped Stefan.
This was kind of a bummer for me. I was really expecting something big like what I said in my previous rant, Katherine. Instead, it was Dorian.
Turns out Dorian was one of those people that was compelled by Stefan years ago, when Stefan killed Dorian's entire family, so now Dorian basically wants revenge.
Dorian ends up killing Stefan but, because he's a good person, and regrets and tries to save Stefan.
Stefan is about to die when Cade appears, in an out of body state and tells him that it's better for Caroline if he dies and such, but Stefan doesn't really want to die so he 'comes back to life' and Caroline, Dorian and Matt take him to the hospital.
In the hospital, Stefan tells Caroline that they don't really have a future now that he's human and basically breaks up with her. I think I don't need to say this but, I got really happy in this moment! I think you all know by now that I'm not a Steroline shipper and that I will forever ship Stefan with Elena, and now with both of them human, I would be thrilled to have a Stelena ending. Still, I don't think that's going to happen, but I'm already glad that (hopefully) Steroline isn't happening.
Back to my favourite part of the episode (aka Kai)...
Damon calls Bonnie to know how is she with the 'trying to get Enzo out of hell' plan and right away Bonnie notice something sketchy about the way Damon is acting. Damon tells her about bringing Elena back and Bonnie right away thinks that Damon can only need something for Kai, since Kai is the only one that can bring Elena back.
This scene with Damon in the car, with Kai, while he's talking on the phone with Bonnie was probably one of my favourite scenes this episode. This showed Kai's true character like really witty and clumsy and all that, and he even asked with Bonnie sounded like she missed him, which fulfilled my Bonkai heart.
I'm well aware that Bonkai won't probably ever happen, even more with what happened next, but this little 'Bonkai' moments leave me really happy and this is already enough for me.
So, what happened next...
Since Bonnie couldn't really do anything, she went to Cade for help. In this moment I really agreed with Damon, such a bad idea. But, it was kind of good to finally find out what is really happening.
Turns out Bonnie neither got her powers back nor opened another door to hell. Instead, Bonnie created another dimension, just like Cade did, a dimension similar to hell but without all that fire and all those bad things, a Bonnie Bennett Dimention, where Enzo is!
Bonnie finally talks to Enzo and, although this was such a cute moment, it wasn't as powerfull as I thought would be. Nonetheless, it was super helpful, because Enzo warned Bonnie about Cade and what he's trying to do. He was just trying to know where Enzo is because he was supposed to go to hell.
Cade then basically admits this and even adds that he can't access the dimension that Bonnie created, which is kind of good, it means he won't be able to reach Enzo. The down side, is that Cade reads Bonnie's mind and finds out about Kai being back. And, the way Cade talked about Kai, it could be just me, but it seemed like Kai was kind of 'famous' in hell. I wouldn't be surprised, to be honest, he is the baddest of them all so... You go Kai!
While all of this is happening with Bonnie and Cade, Kai and Damon have been killing bad people because, turns out, Kai was slipping away back to hell, so he thought that, if he killed bad people, just like Damon, he would be more on the 'real world' than in hell, so he convinces Damon to help him with that and turns out he kind of worked.
And, I must talk about this... It was kind of weird to see Kai as a vampire. He was a vampire/heretic in the end of Season 6, but he didn't get much of that so now that he's back, it was a little weird to see him drink blood and all that. Still, I loved it. He's so powerfull now (even with one foot in hell). I also really liked the scene where he was on twitter and taking selfies... That is my Kai!
Anyway, after Cade finding out that Kai might be back, Bonnie calls Damon and tells him that, to which he tells Kai, leaving Kai really afraid. And this was the moment that I realized that Cade is seriously really bad... If even Kai is afraid of him, he must be really bad.
So, Kai is afraid, so Damon comes up with another idea - Kai needs to redeem himself, and which better way than getting Elena back so Damon forgives him?!
They then go to Elena's casket and that's when Kai stabs Damon, siphons his 'magic' and tells him that he doesn't believe in redemption. He then cloakes himself and Elena's casket and leaves, while Damon stays there, desiccating.
I wanted to feel bad for Damon and afraid for him but... I just can't. I'm actually really happy that Kai did that because that's who he is! Kai is bad and he does what he needs to do to survive and he doesn't really care about anyone else (apart from Bonnie, he cares a little bit for Bonnie). And, to be honest, I kind of agree with him. He is just insuring that Damon won't kill him. Of course Damon still had to deal with Cade but him and Alaric can still use that weapon that we saw in last week's episode, so after Kai got back Elena, they wouldn't need him anymore, so he's just insuring that he doesn't get killed.
To finish the episode, I need to talk about Alaric and the twins, because they are back and, first of all, Kai doesn't know about them and, when he does, he is for sure going to kill them. Second, it seems like they are more aware ofthe powers they have but can't control them, because one of them almost sets fire to the other with the Incendia spell.
And, since, we are already talking about this, let's get into some predictions.
So, about the twins, I predict that Caroline is going to try and talk to Kai for him to help them. He is still their uncle and he is the only siphon witch/warlock around, so he's the only one that can help them. I think that Caroline is going to try and make a deal with Kai like the helps the twins and Caroline won't make them merge in their 22nd aniversary, making Kai the lider of the Gemini coven, basically, forever.
In terms of the other characters, I stick to my predictions, just with a little twist. I don't think Bonnie is going to die and be a vampire anymore. I think she will want to die and be with Enzo forever in that dimension that she created.
Apart from that, I still think Stefan is going to sacrifice himself and let Damon take the cure from him so he can be with Elena forever.
And yes, I guess that's it guys. I hope this wasn't too long, but I had to talk about Kai.
Anyway, let me know your thoughts about this episode and which are your predictions for the series finale.
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 12 - "What Are You?"

Spoiler Alert!

Oh My God, The Vampire Diaries have seriously been steping up this last couple of episodes!
I don't know about you, but this episode, once again, left me on a rollercoaster of emotions!
Obviously we already knew this was going to be an hard episode since last week's one ended with huge twists, so that was what we had to deal with in this episode, plus some really good surprises at the end of the episode!
So, I think I'm going to start with Stefan.
From the previous we knew that Stefan was going to be arrested and all and, since now he's human, that is just a mess. Obviously there's still Damon and Caroline around that can fix this problem, which is what eventually happens. And, while I was watching the episode a second time (because yes, I had to watch it twice because of the twist that happens in the end) I started thinking that, how come we went from Matt being the only human around to basically just having Damon and Caroline as Vampires?! Seriously, this is really weird because now Bonnie, Stefan, Matt, Alaric, Elena and Dorian are the humans and we have Caroline and Damon as the Vampires (since Enzo died. I still think he's coming back but yeah)! It's just an huge twist!
Anyway so, like I said, Caroline goes and fixes the police issue but then another issue comes, Cade. Cade goes to Damon saying that now that Stefan is human he has no use to him and since the deal was for two immortal brothers, the deal is off, but (of course there's a but) Cade is going to kill Stefan and send him to hell unless Damon gives him an old book written buy one of Matt's ancestors. Obviously Damon doesn't think twice and goes get that book/journal.
At the same time, Matt is dealing with some visions which we then find out that it's because of he's connection to the book. So, Alaric doesn't give Damon the journal, at least, not until they find out why Cade wants it. In order to find that, they hypnotize Matt and that's when we find out what really happened all those years ago. That Matt's ancestor and Bonnie's ancestor created the Maxwell bell and then encountered Sybil and Selene, who forced Matt's ancestor, Ethan, to ring the bell twelve times and send hellfire to the town, killing one hundred people. We also find out that Beatrice, Bonnie's ancestor, was the one to trap Seline and Sybil and the vault and that she also traped Ethan because he was under the siren's spell. And, it was while he was there that he wrote on the journal how to kill Cade.
Matt then wakes up but, by that time, Damon already left with the journal, giving it to Cade.
Meanwhile all of this is happening, we also see how Bonnie is dealing with Enzo's death.
She doesn't want to talk to anyone so Caroline thought it would be good that call Bonnie's mum, and so she appears at Bonnies house. It was really nice to see her back because we didn't really get much of her so it was nice to see one more character back to this season.
Bonnie's mum helps her with grieving but that's when Bonnie tells her that Enzo has been calling out for her and that she need to help him. Somehow, they find out that Bonnie opened a door to hell and that she needs to close it. Bonnie passes out and so Bonnie's mum sets Enzo on fire, breaking the connection.
So, with this, we realize that those waves we saw in the end of last week's episode wasn't Bonnie getting her powers back but, instead, opening a door to hell, just like when Cade screamed when the village people first killed him, before we became 'the devil'.
Back to the main storyline, and getting to the best part, Damon then goes talk to Alaric, who his really pissed because Damon gave the journal to Cade. Damon tells Alaric that he read the ending of the journal and he knows how to kill the devil. So, they go into the vault and Damon shows him the weapon, the weapon that we earlier saw Ethan with. And, the best part!
While Alaric and Damon are making plans to kill the devil Kai appears and says he has a better idea!
Can you heard me screaming!?
That's right guys, my baby Kai is back and next episode is going to be all about him!
I've been waiting for this moment since the end of Season 6 and it finally happened!
I seriously can't wait for next episode!
The preview for next week looks so cool! With a lot of Kai in it and I'm sure, with a lot of plot twists because, something that I didn't mention earlier, also in the end of the episode, someone kidnaps Stefan! We don't really know who it is but, after watching the episode twice, and watchin the preview about 10 times, I can say it is either Katherine or Bonnie! It is clearly a girl, because the person his smaller than Stefan, so it can either be Bonnie, because she's pissed at Stefan, or Katherine, after getting out of hell just like Kai did.
So, yeah, a lot of mysteries for next episode!
And, about my predictions... A lot of things have been happening like, I said that in this episode we would be looking for a way to kill Cade, which we did, and that next episode Kai would appears, which is also happening. Ok, Bonnie didn't got her magic or it wasn't Enzo who talked to Kai but I said that Matt would be important in this, which he was! Also, in the end of this episode, Dorian wanted to talk with Alaric about something, which he ended up not talking because Damon showed up so, there's still a possibility that Dorian might be related to Cade so... Let's see.
Now, my theory that Bonnie brings Enzo back is a little bit shaky... With Kai's come back, I just thought that the writers could go on another route and make Bonkai happen! It's unlikely, but it can still happen.
In the preview we see Bonnie doing some type of magic or something so, maybe she did got a magic back and she might be trying to bring Enzo back?! Who knows...
But, we also saw in the preview that Kai said he's willing to bring Elena back so... My theory that Bonnie is going to become a vampire probably won't happen.
If she manages to brng Enzo back, she will still want to be with him, but with Elena awake, doubt she will want to be a vampire but, you never know. I'm going to stick to it because that's what I said from the beginning!
About Stefan... I still think he's going to be the one to die and I think my ending is really strong and highly possible so... Stick to it 100%!
And yeah... Now I just have a lot of questions about Kai. Like, What does he want? (because he's not willing to bring Elena back just from the goodness of his hear), from the preview it seems like he just wants to get away from hell, but lets see. Also, Have he been thinking about Bonnie all this time he was in hell? and Are we going to have a Bonkai ending?
Let's see what next episode brings.
Until then, let me know your thoughts and predictions about this weeks episode and how the series is going to end. I'm really curious about what you think is going to happen.
Hope you liked my predictions and I'll see you in my next rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 11 - "You Made a Choice to Be Good"

Spoiler Alert!

Omg you guys, I have so many things to say about this episode!
First of all, What was that episode?!
I'm still pretty shook about everything that happened and I just can't stop thinking about it. I feel like I'm mourning as well and, althought this makes me feel really bad, it shows how good this episode was!
But yeah, let's start because at the end I have so many predictions of what is going to happen from now on.
So, I was pretty excitied about this episode! Cade was free and that meant that we were going to get to know him 'better' and we actually did. Right from that point I loved the episode! We already knew, from the previous, that Cade was going to free Stefan and then ask Damon to either kill 100 strangers or Caroline and that was exactly what he did. Obviously, since Damon now has his humanity, he started thinking of a way to do neither and, instead, kill Cade. But Cade is smarter than that and confronted him and set himself on fire and even ripped is own heart out, and none of those things killed him, which meant Damon was screwed.
Meanwhile all of this is happening in Mystic Falls, Bonnie and Enzo have been doing stuff that was on Enzo's bucket list, since he soon is going to become human and will have to be more carefull with what he does and, besides, he might die at any moment so, yeah...
Right from that point I saw something coming. We were seeing so many scenes of Happy Bonenzo that I thought 'Well, they aren't going to end up together in the end of the series'. I already know the writers that well and know that, once everything is looking pretty good and everything is working fine for some character (and mostly Bonnie), something bad is about to happen, I just didn't think it was going to be that soon (but that I'll talk later).
Anyway, after doing those things, they travel to a house that later we find out that is where Bonnie is keeping Elena.
Back to Mystic Falls... Damon and Caroline keep working on a plan to kill Cade and that's when Caroline thinks that there's only one thing that could kill him, the cure. So they start working on getting the cure to give Cade instead of giving it to Enzo. At that moment, Cade comes back and confronts Damon again, and that's when he says that he made the same offer to Stefan - kill 100 strangers or kill the love of Damon's life, Elena. He also tells that Stefan chose to kill Elena, and that's when Damon kind of forgets about the Cure plan and just races to New York to save Elena.
While all of this is happening, Stefan compells Bonnie's realtor to sign the house over to herself and then invite him in so that he can get to Elena.
And this is were the episode kept me out of my seat.
From that moment I just realized what was about to happen or, at least, some of what was about to happen. Stefan would get there and Bonnie, in defence, would just give the cure to him. And guess what happen? Yeah, exactly that! But, before... Stefan killed Enzo! That I never saw coming! Not in a million years! I always thought that, if someone was going to die, it was going to be Bonnie, and she would be the reason why they wouldn't be together forever. But Enzo?! Nope, no... Never guessed that and, to be honest, I'm still kind of in denial and I still think he's coming back. Or, at least, we are going to see him in hell or something.
But yeah, after that, Bonnie gives Stefan the cure, he 'passes out' and she runs to where Enzo is laying dead. And then she screams and a wave of sound comes out of her... I don't really know how to explain this but I think this means she got her powers back. So, I kind of understand why the writers did what they did. They needed something to wake the magic inside Bonnie and what could be better than the love of her life dying? Yeah, I guess that's why they killed him and again, I still think he's coming back so....
So, now on to some Predictions!
I have predictions for basically until the very last episode so, let's get on to it!
First of all, I think Dorian and Matt have a big part on this whole kill the devil thing. It can't just be the bell and that's all. They have something else and, from this episode, I even started thinking that Dorian might be related to Cade so... I don't know, but seems like a good storyline to me...
From that, I have two preditions on how we are going to find out how to kill Cade and how to bring Enzo back.
First theory is that they go to hell to save Enzo and/or get information on how to kill Cade, and that's when they meet Kai, and Katherine and others.
Second theory, which seems more likely to me, is that we see Enzo in hell, and he's the one that talks with Kai and etc. After that, Bonnie discovers she has her powers back so she tries to bring Enzo back and manages to. Enzo then tells them what he talked with Kai and the others and that he knows how to kill Cade.
I just don't really know how they are going to kill Cade but, after they do, my theory is that Bonnie then decides to become a Vampire. Then, because of that, Elena wakes up.
And, in the very end, since there is a rumor out there that either one of the brothers is going to die, and since I always said that it was going to be Stefan, my theory is that Stefan sacrifices himself, so Damon can get the cure from him and be with Elena forever. Because of that Stefan starts aging faster and ends up dying just like Katherine.
Of course I would so much more rather have a Stelena ending, since Elena is human and now Stefan is human as well, that can still be a possibility but... I don't really think so... First, the writters have to, at least, give a good ending for the Delena stans and, besides, just like I said in previews rants, this is Stefan's story, he said it in the beginning of the series so... Yeah, I stick to my theory that it's going to be Stefan who dies in the end.
So, summing up, my predictions for every character are that Enzo and Bonnie end up together, both as vampires, Caroline and Alaric both go to The Originals, Damon and Elena end up together, both as humans, Stefan Dies and Matt will forever be Human.
And yeah guys! I know I took this too seriously but, this series has been my life for the past 8 years so, I'm really attached to it.
Anyway, hope you liked my theories and let me know what do you think about them! Do you agree? Who do you think is going to die at the end? Let me know everything.
Until then...
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 10 - "Nostalgia's a Bitch"

Spoiler Alert!

Ok, I know. I took way too long with this update, and I'm really sorry about that!
I don't want to get into that deep in my personal life, but you know when you just had a really busy week and then when you get everything done and you don't have anything else to do you just really wanna do nothing? Yeah, that was me last week. I was so busy two weeks ago with my university that last week I just wanted to relax. But, hopefully, I'll get back on track now and do everything that I have been leaving behind to do another day, starting with this rant!
I really wanted to watch this episode again but, like I said, I felt like I was posting this rant way too late already that I just couldn't wait longer so... here it is!
This was a really great episode, to be honest. One of my favourites so far, for sure! Mostly because of all the old character that we had in this episode, but I also really liked all the developing of the story and I feel like now we're going somewhere and are finally getting things done, since we just have 6 episodes left.
So, like I said in my previous TVD rant, this episode was all about Damon and basically the whole episode happened inside Damon's mind.
I was really glad that Damon had finally locked up Sybil but, unfortunatelly, we had to free her. Bonnie and Caroline had to free her in order to help Damon come back to his senses.
At first, Caroline tried to get inside his head but all she saw was fire and pain. So, she had to ask for Sybil's help so they get in through the 'back door' of his brain. But, of course, Sybil didn't do it for free, she wanted something in return - the belt, to which Caroline had to ask for Matt's help. Obviously, giving the fact that Matt and Damon aren't really that close, Matt didn't want to help.
Meanwhile, Stefan is killing all the vampire girls that he turned and that's when he goes back to the Salvatore House to get Damon. We then learn that, while he was 'dead', last episode when Caroline 'killed' him, he talked to Cade and Cade isn't really happy with Damon because he isn't really doing his part of the deal, so Stefan gets back to the house to get Damon to go 'back to work', and that's when he sees Damon in that state. Not happy with the situation, he then goes to get what Sybil wants.
When Stefan gets there, where Matt, Matt's dad and the bell are, his also met with Seline, who offers him another deal, which involves Matt ringing the bell twelve times in order to release hell on earth and kill everyone in Mystic Falls. Stefan agrees with that deal and compels Matt to do so, since he didn't want to do it.
Meanwhile, inside Damon's head, Caroline and Bonnie keep trying to find Damon. That's when we see a number of old characters. First, Vicky, which I didn't really like but it was still nice to see her. Then, Sheriff Forbes who had just the sweetest moment with Caroline. It was seriously so beautiful to see them talk again and... It was just really beautiful. Before Sheriff Forbes goes and starts torturing Caroline because she's a vampire. That's when Caroline talks about Damon and the fact that the forgave him for everything he did and that's the moment we realize that what Damon needs is people to forgive him... Or we think that's it.
Right in that moment I think that it's Stefan, he needs Stefan to forgive him. It has always been about the brothers and it had to be in this moment.
Caroline gets out of Damon's mind, but Bonnie stays. That's when the most beautiful moment of the whole episode happens, Bonnie's Grandma appears! Seriously, I missed her so much! She died so early in the series and I remember so clearly crying a river when she died! So, it was really really nice to see her again. And, after that, Bonnie meets up with another old character, Tyler, and that's when she says that she also forgave Damon and gets out of his mind.
Tha's when they realize they need Stefan. Stefan then gets in his mind and we then find out that Damon doesn't need Stefan's forgiveness.... Damon needs Stefan to forgive him! Damon then wakes up and Stefan is locked up.
And then, the final scenes are also really powerfull, because I think that's what is going to make the story move from now on.
So, Matt rings the bell eleven times but, luckily, Damon gets there in time and stops him to ring another time, which stops hell from burning the town. However, it allows Cade to break through and come to the real world. And guess what's the first thing Cade does when he gets to the real world? Kill the sirens! Finally! Seriously, I was so freaking done with them, mostly with Sybil but yeah, I'm really glad we are over with them because, overall, not that they were that bad of villains but, it's the end of the series and we need to tie up loose ends so we can have a good ending of the series.
So, yeah, that's basically it guys.
I predict really good things from now on! I'm not saying that everything that's going to happen is going to be good, but I see some plot twists and stuff happening for sure and, one good thing for sure, Elena is going to be back in the series finale! That's right, Nina Dobrev confirmed last week that she's back so, it's going to be good! Also, we are going to have Kai back in one (or multiple) of the next few episodes and, although it's not really a good thing, I stick to my thought that Stefan is going to die at the end. People have been saying that one of the brothers is going to die, for sure, in the series finale and I still think it's Stefan so... Let me know which are your thoughts!
Until then...
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 9 - "The Simple Intimacy of the Near Touch"

Spoiler Alert!

I'm sorry I took way too long with this rant. This and the Shadowhunters rant. I promise both the Shadowhunters and a new The Flash rant will be up tomorrow!
Anyway, on to The Vampire Diaries rant...
I must say, this was a weird episode for me.
Last week I had to watch the episode twice because some things were still very confusing to me and this week I had to watch it twice again because the episode just felt weird to me.
To be honest with you all, I think I'm just concerned about what I've been feeling about Stefan's character. You know that Stefan has always been one of my favourite characters (my second one of all, after Kai) and this 'new Stefan', which isn't exactly new, I'm not a really big fan of. Maybe it's because the series is ending and I just don't want the series to end with me hating Stefan. So, I watched the episode twice and I came to the conclusion that it was a good episode in terms of 'turning back' to old seasons and just be like a 'memory lane' of what The Vampire Diaries has been all this years. I also think that this episode gave us a lot of easter eggs for next episodes and I also think they tried to 'confuse' us a little bit as well as give us some answers (for now, because I think some things were just to get us to come up with a different ideia because ours were too close to the truth).
Anyway, I've already talked too much about the episode in general so lets get deeper into it.
The episode starts with Sybil calling Damon saying that she wants the ball (who turns out to be the striker of the bell) that he got from Peter and that he has now. I still have the same opinion about Sybil but what I thought was a bit confusing about this scene was the fact that, at first, Stefan didn't want to go and 'meet up' with Sybil but then wanted to go and kill and then at the Miss Mystic Falls he started working with her. I guess his ultimate goal was to have Damon just for himself but he realized that he couldn't so that's why in the end of the episode he left without him. Anyway...
In this episode something pretty cool happens, Damon finally says no to Sybil! Not about going to meet her but about giving her the striker. That was an huge moment for me and it made me like Damon a lot in this episode.
While Damon is dealing with Sybil, Stefan is just going crazy. I don't know, I'm really not liking this Stefan. He basically realizes that can't have 'bad Damon' back and gives his blood to a bunch of girls at the pageant ending up killing one of them, Violet. Let's just say that Caroline got pretty mad and, at first, she tried to tell him to do things her way but, Seriously Caroline?! Seriously, I just thought that scene really dumb, to be honest. But, at the very end, Caroline threw her engagement ring to Stefan and left. I think her intention was that the ring would do the same as Elena's necklace was doing to Damon but, to completely honest, I don't think it will work. I know I'm an hardcore Stelena fan but I truly believe that Elena is the only one (besides Stefan's mum) that can bring him back, that can turn his humanity on. I don't think his love for Caroline is as strong as it was for Elena so... Still waiting for that Stelena ending (although I think the series will end in a whole other way, which I'll talk in the end).
A lot more happens in this episode, such as Seline and Bonenzo. Let's talk about Seline first.
So, basically, again, we find a lot more things about this bell. We find out that it was made to kill sirens and that only the Maxwell family can ring it. We then see Matt trying to get the bell from Seline's house and Dorien going to Seline to buy Matt some time. Obviously Seline realizes but she actually seems glad that Matt went there to get because, like I said before, Matt and his father are the only ones that can ring the bell. To be completely honest with you, I don't think Sybil's plan is to kill Sybil. I think she has another plan, maybe even kill Cade or something but I'm pretty sure she's up to something.
And, now to Bonenzo, the best part of the episode!
Enzo gives Bonnie a necklace with his blood, hoping that one day she will turn for him. But, because of Elena, Bonnie tells him that she can't. And here starts my theorie.
I think Bonnie is the character that I have been thinking about the most and how she is going to end in the series. I think I've already mentioned this here but I think Bonnie is going to become a vampire and be with Enzo forever.
In the end of this episode, they drop us a really big bomb - Bonnie asks Enzo if he could, if he would take the cure! Somehow, that never crossed my mind, but even now, I still think she's becoming a vampire. I have like two options for how that will happen. 1) She's in danger and, although she's concerned about Elena and the fact that Kai said that no loop holes or anything, Enzo will give her his blood and she'll become a vampire. or 2) They eventually go to hell to talk to Kai, find out that Bonnie can actually die and become a vampire and Elena will wake up and they'll do that.
I'm pretty sure guys! And, I also think that, if there's a wedding in the end of the series, it is, for sure, Bonenzo's. I don't think Damon and Elena will end up marrying and I don't even think they will end up together. And, I'm not saying she'll end up with Stefan, because I don't think that either, and here's my biggest prediction for the end of the series. Stefan dies!
That's right guys, as much as it pains me to say this, I think Stefan is dead by the end of the series. Remember that this basically is all his story. Season 1 starts with him saying 'and this is my story' so I think it will be someone reading his diaries or something or I don't know... I just think that he dies in the end and, to completely honest with you, I think it's an ending that not most people is expecting. Everyone is expecting a beautiful ending and I kind of want a beautiful ending as well but it would be such a plot twist if he (or someone else important) dies at the end... I don't know, I'm just throwing my theory out there so, if that actually happens, I'll be abble to say that I predicted it.
I'll for sure cry tons if that actually happens but... It would kind of be a good ending.
Anyway, this episode basically ended with Damon getting his humanity back on, because of Sybil (obviously).
I don't really know what's going to happen next episode because from the previous, it seems like or we're in hell, or we're inside Damon's mind, which I think is more likely. Either way, it's going to be a good episode because from what I've seen and heard, we are going to have some old characters back and Vicky is basically 100% confirmed to be in this next episode so... Excited to see that.
Ok, guys, I think that's it for this rant.
I know it is way too long but I just had a lot of theories to tell you. And, if you have any theories you want to share with me, just comment bellow or tweet me, I'd love to know your theories.
See you tomorrow!
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 8 - "We Have History Together"

Spoiler Alert!

The Vampire Diaries is finally back from the winter break and with a pretty different episode, directed by Ian Somerhalder.
Like I said, I feel like this was a pretty different episode, at least, this season. We were 'used to' see Damon being the bad guy and, to be honest, I was starting to get pretty mad at him but this episode the whole thing changed and now Stefan is the bad guy and I actually really liked Damon in this episode.
So, the episode basically follows two storylines, Stefan and Damon and the annoying Sybil. I'm going to start with the Stefan and Damon one because I feel like it's way easier to explain.
As you can remember, in the end of episode 9, Stefan turned off his humanity so this means he's back to his old self. He's trying to control himself to not turn into the reaper, but let's just say that it doesn't really work out (but I'll talk more about that later). Anyway, Damon and Stefan go after people to give to Cade. Stefan chooses a doctor named Tara to turn her 'bad'. We learn that Tara lost her parents in a car crash because of a drunk driver. He then does a pretty messed up plan, compeling her to believe that Damon was that driver. She eventually gives into the darkness and kills Damon, not knowing that he isn't really dead. Later in the episode, Stefan then tells Damon it was all a plan to 'test' Damon. He chose Tara because he not just looked a lot like Elena, but also had a similar life. He also finds Elena's necklace that Damon have been keeping with himself this whole time. Stefan tells him that the necklace (and now Tara) are making him not be 'as bad as he would be' without his humanity and so makes him get rid of the necklace and kill Tara, which he does. But well, in the end, Damon gets back to where the through the necklace and gets it back, while Stefan is at the hospital and... just looses it. His plan to control himself and not turn into the reaper don't really work out and he ends up killing and decapitates everyone in that hospital. And that's pretty much where we end with the Stefan/Damon storyline. Now onto the Sybil storyline.
To begin with, I'm so done with her! Sybil is just an annoying b*tch and seriously, her storyline doesn't seem interesting anymore. Ok, we found a bunch of things in this episode but, comparing with the Cade/Damon/Stefan storyline, and keeping in mind we only have 8 more episodes, things should start happening or we should start to have some answers, which we kind of did in this episode.
Anyway, so in this part of the episode we see Caroline back at the Mystic Falls High School were she went to write an article or something. She then finds out that it was Sybil who 'sent her there' and also finds out that Sybil compeled everyone and is teaching History in the school. And that's when we start finding things out.
We then learn that Sybil's whole plan is to get a bell, a really old bell that she and Seline kind of made like years ago. That was also the part that I got really confused and made me re-watch episode. But after watching the episode twice and also watch some TVD aftershows, I think I got everything right so, here's what I understood:
A long long time ago (and back to Season 1) when the 100 witches were burned in Mystic Falls, both Sybil and Seline were there. One of Matt's ancestors was making a bell, a bell that the witches asked him to do. But, without the witches knowing, Sybil and Seline messed up 'the formula' of the bell. The bell was kept in Matt's family, at this time with his dad, but the Maxwell family was kind of rejected by the other founders family and Peter got really mad that they weren't accepting him and his family because he wasn't rich and just threw the bell on the river, at the Wickery Bridge. Later, Elena's parents had the accident there and, when the police was 'rescuing' the car, Caroline's mum found the bell and kept it with her. When she died, Caroline packed everything and put all the boxes in her garage and yeah, that's how the bell ended up in Caroline's garage.
I think I got everything right. But I must say, it was really hard for me to keep up with all of this. I think it's a good way to tie everything up like this last season to the very first season but I just think it's a lot to take in.
Anyway, finding about that, Caroline and Sybil go to get the damn bell but, guess what? It isn't there! Turns out, Seline got it first and left a note for Sybil, taunting her. And yeah, that was basically it.
Not much happened in the episode. I think it was fine and it gaves us a lot of new information that are actually useful and explain a lot of what is happening, but nothing major happened.
I'm excited for next episodes because first, next episode is going to be a lot about Elena and, although I'm not her biggest fan, it's going to be nice to see some flashbacks, mostly of the Miss Mystic Falls, which is one of my favourite things from the first seasons. Second, it was confirmed that Vicki is going to be in episode 10 and again, although I never really liked her, it's going to be nice to see some old faces and besides, this might mean we are going to hell, which leads me to the third and best thing, Kai! That's right guys, Kai is almost 100% confirmed! Chris Wood a few weeks ago tweeted something about not being about to make it to a TVD convention because he was filming and he then added a little devil emojie and then, a few days ago, Julie also tweeted something about Kai possibly being in one (or more) episodes so, yes people Kai is totally going to be in this last season! You know Kai is my favourite character ever and I'm really really obsessed with him and with Chris Wood so, I just can't wait to see him! Because, if we are going to hell, Kai has to be there! There's no way Kai isn't in hell.
And yeah, that's it!
Hope you guys liked the rant and I'll see in later with a new Shadowhunters rant.
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 7 - "The Next Time I Hurt Somebody, It Could Be You"

Spoiler Alert!

Last rant of the week!
So, like the previous ones, this was also the Midseason finale of The Vampire Diaries and with this episode I felt the exact same thing that I did with Supernatural! This week, every single episode of every single series has been amazing and this is proof that my series are really the best ones!
Anyway, let's just get started with the poper rant because I don't want this to be too long.
The episode starts with a flashback! A flashback from Stefan when he was a ripper. I was already expecting this flashbacks. Actually, I expected them to happen in the previous episode but yeah. So, basically the flashbacks are about Stefan killing a camp full of people on the Christmas Eve of 1917.
We don't get any more information in that flashback and From that we move to the present day where Stefan is trying to make the most out of the last day that he has with Caroline and with freedom,
Obviously, because this is a Christmas episode, Caroline had a dinner planned, and everything was going fine, until Damon (who didn't really die) and Sybil crash the 'party' and Damon ends up staking Stefan sending him into a meeting with Cade.
That's in that meeting with Cade that we learn more about that flashback.
We learn that Seline witnessed Stefan killing all those people and that she planned on trading places with him (on serving Cade) but she reads his mind and discovers that he isn't really bad and so she erases the memory of him killing all those people. However, Cade had already decided, many years ago, that Stefan was the perfect servant for him, that's why he accepted the deal with Sybil.
Meanwhile, in that dinner, a lot of things happen. One of them being Caroline giving Damon a present that might change his plans about that night because, what we learn after that Damon is planning on killing someone that night.
We also see in this episode that Seline isn't that bad. So, basically Enzo and Bonnie go after the tuning fork because their friends need it. They find it with Seline, who agrees to give it to them if she talks to Rick about removing the psychic powers she had planted inside the twins, hoping that that redeems herself and so she won't end up in hell, where she knows Cade is going to torture her.
Damon ends up not killing anyone in the party and both him and Sybil leave. That's when he decides to give the present that Caroline gave him to Sybil, not knowing what was inside.
It was Elena's old necklace! In that moment I got really mad because I just couldn't believe that necklace that meant so much to the show and to me was now Sybil's. But, that's when memories of Elena come back to Damon and so he rips out Sybil's heart and leaves her to die.
Back to Stefan, who's still with Cade...
After seeing what he did, what he didn't remember he decides to propose a deal to Cade - He shuts down his humanity, getting more souls faster and Cade shortens Stefan's time to only one year instead of eternity, which Cade's agrees on.
Oh, something that we also see in this episode is that both Bonnie and the Twins get headaches with the tuning fork so, that might be a sign that Bonnie's magic might be back soon? I kind of hope so, because I feel like if she had her powers this would be over way more quickly. However, this way is more fun so... I don't know... Let's see.
Anyway, in the end, Damon and Stefan drive out of Mystic Falls and... Yes, Stefan shuts down his humanity. And the episode ends.
This wasn't such a big cliffhanger as the Supernatural or Arrow ones were, but it was still a pretty big ending leaving me really curious to know what's going to happen next.
Unfortunatelly, we are going to have to wait about a month for the next episode so... Hiatus here on the blog as well as 'in real life'.
That's right guys, the next post will only be on January 3 with the come back of Shadowhunters! So, yeah...
I hope you guys liked this rant and I'll see you next year!
Happy Holidays!
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 6 - "Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell"

Spoiler Alert!

Back with the TVD rants!
Not for long though, because next week's episode is going to be the last one before the Christmas break so...
Anyway, let's not talk about that and let's talk about the crazy episode that aired last night.
So, as you may already know, we were going to finally meet Cade in this episode, and that was what happened. But before that, a lot more happened.
In the beginning of the episode we see everyone looking for the twins, while Damon and Sybil meet with Seline and the twins at a diner.
That's when we (kind of) discover Seline's plan. She plans on giving Josie and Elizabeth to Cade in exchange for her and Sybil's souls. To be quite honest with you, I didn't really think her plan was just that, but I guess we'll never find that out, because after she reveals that, Sybil also reveals that she has another plans. But, before we know that plans, we see Sybil messing with Enzo's head because, like she said, no one has ever escaped her.
Then, there's when the cute/painful Bonenzo moments start. Seriously, I'm loving Bonenzo in this season and I'm really happy that Enzo has a thicker plot in this season because like, 2 seasons ago, he was really pointless, but not in this one. Besides his romance with Bonnie, which is one of the most beautiful things in this episode and basically in this whole season, it's because of him that our gang finds where Josie and Lizzie are.
In order to both help and get information, Stefan gets inside of Enzo's head and manages to get in contact with Sybil. Obviously, things don't go that well and that's when we realize what's Sybil plan.
She then says that she will stop torturing Enzo if Stefan meets with her and Damon, alone. Of course, Stefan being Stefan, he agrees with that plan. And, you see where this is going right? It's after that that the twins summon Cade, who appears, and to which Seline makes her offer, the twins in exchange for her and her sister. Well, then Sybil makes her offer, instead of the twins, two powerful vampire brothers (Damon and Stefan).
Cade accept her offer but he can only 'have' the brothers if both of them agree and, obviously, Damon, because he's under Sybil 'spell' he agrees, and Stefan, because he's the good guy and wants to save Caroline's daughters, he agrees as well.
The twins soon get back to Alaric and Caroline and that's when both of them decide that it's better for them (the twins) if they're away from all of this, so they leave with Alaric until everything is 'in place'.
After that, Stefan reveals to Caroline about the offer and that he only had twenty-four more hours with her. And, Sybil also reveals something, but to Seline. She reveals that, because Seline left her in the voult for years, that the deal was only to free her own soul (Sybil's) and that Seline now will go to hell because she's no longer serving Cade.
In the very end of the episode, both Matt and Alaric get to stake Damon but, because his new immortality, he isn't killed. And, that's how the episode ends.
Overall, it was a good episode. Not a great one but it was still good. I'm really curious about Cade and hell and everything so, excited for the next episodes.
Probably, for what we saw in the preview, we won't see much of Cade in the next episode, but after the Christmas break, I think things are going to get really interesting!
Anyway, let me know your thoughts about this episode and also tell me which are your predictions for the next episode.
Until then...
Love,
Daniela.
