The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 9 - "The Simple Intimacy of the Near Touch"

I'm sorry I took way too long with this rant. This and the Shadowhunters rant. I promise both the Shadowhunters and a new The Flash rant will be up tomorrow!

Anyway, on to The Vampire Diaries rant...

I must say, this was a weird episode for me. 

Last week I had to watch the episode twice because some things were still very confusing to me and this week I had to watch it twice again because the episode just felt weird to me.

To be honest with you all, I think I'm just concerned about what I've been feeling about Stefan's character. You know that Stefan has always been one of my favourite characters (my second one of all, after Kai) and this 'new Stefan', which isn't exactly new, I'm not a really big fan of. Maybe it's because the series is ending and I just don't want the series to end with me hating Stefan. So, I watched the episode twice and I came to the conclusion that it was a good episode in terms of 'turning back' to old seasons and just be like a 'memory lane' of what The Vampire Diaries has been all this years. I also think that this episode gave us a lot of easter eggs for next episodes and I also think they tried to 'confuse' us a little bit as well as give us some answers (for now, because I think some things were just to get us to come up with a different ideia because ours were too close to the truth).

Anyway, I've already talked too much about the episode in general so lets get deeper into it.

The episode starts with Sybil calling Damon saying that she wants the ball (who turns out to be the striker of the bell) that he got from Peter and that he has now. I still have the same opinion about Sybil but what I thought was a bit confusing about this scene was the fact that, at first, Stefan didn't want to go and 'meet up' with Sybil but then wanted to go and kill and then at the Miss Mystic Falls he started working with her. I guess his ultimate goal was to have Damon just for himself but he realized that he couldn't so that's why in the end of the episode he left without him. Anyway...

In this episode something pretty cool happens, Damon finally says no to Sybil! Not about going to meet her but about giving her the striker. That was an huge moment for me and it made me like Damon a lot in this episode.

While Damon is dealing with Sybil, Stefan is just going crazy. I don't know, I'm really not liking this Stefan. He basically realizes that can't have 'bad Damon' back and gives his blood to a bunch of girls at the pageant ending up killing one of them, Violet. Let's just say that Caroline got pretty mad and, at first, she tried to tell him to do things her way but, Seriously Caroline?! Seriously, I just thought that scene really dumb, to be honest. But, at the very end, Caroline threw her engagement ring to Stefan and left. I think her intention was that the ring would do the same as Elena's necklace was doing to Damon but, to completely honest, I don't think it will work. I know I'm an hardcore Stelena fan but I truly believe that Elena is the only one (besides Stefan's mum) that can bring him back, that can turn his humanity on. I don't think his love for Caroline is as strong as it was for Elena so... Still waiting for that Stelena ending (although I think the series will end in a whole other way, which I'll talk in the end).

A lot more happens in this episode, such as Seline and Bonenzo. Let's talk about Seline first.

So, basically, again, we find a lot more things about this bell. We find out that it was made to kill sirens and that only the Maxwell family can ring it. We then see Matt trying to get the bell from Seline's house and Dorien going to Seline to buy Matt some time. Obviously Seline realizes but she actually seems glad that Matt went there to get because, like I said before, Matt and his father are the only ones that can ring the bell. To be completely honest with you, I don't think Sybil's plan is to kill Sybil. I think she has another plan, maybe even kill Cade or something but I'm pretty sure she's up to something.

And, now to Bonenzo, the best part of the episode!

Enzo gives Bonnie a necklace with his blood, hoping that one day she will turn for him. But, because of Elena, Bonnie tells him that she can't. And here starts my theorie.

I think Bonnie is the character that I have been thinking about the most and how she is going to end in the series. I think I've already mentioned this here but I think Bonnie is going to become a vampire and be with Enzo forever. 

In the end of this episode, they drop us a really big bomb - Bonnie asks Enzo if he could, if he would take the cure! Somehow, that never crossed my mind, but even now, I still think she's becoming a vampire. I have like two options for how that will happen. 1) She's in danger and, although she's concerned about Elena and the fact that Kai said that no loop holes or anything, Enzo will give her his blood and she'll become a vampire. or 2) They eventually go to hell to talk to Kai, find out that Bonnie can actually die and become a vampire and Elena will wake up and they'll do that.

I'm pretty sure guys! And, I also think that, if there's a wedding in the end of the series, it is, for sure, Bonenzo's. I don't think Damon and Elena will end up marrying and I don't even think they will end up together. And, I'm not saying she'll end up with Stefan, because I don't think that either, and here's my biggest prediction for the end of the series. Stefan dies!

That's right guys, as much as it pains me to say this, I think Stefan is dead by the end of the series. Remember that this basically is all his story. Season 1 starts with him saying 'and this is my story' so I think it will be someone reading his diaries or something or I don't know... I just think that he dies in the end and, to completely honest with you, I think it's an ending that not most people is expecting. Everyone is expecting a beautiful ending and I kind of want a beautiful ending as well but it would be such a plot twist if he (or someone else important) dies at the end... I don't know, I'm just throwing my theory out there so, if that actually happens, I'll be abble to say that I predicted it.

I'll for sure cry tons if that actually happens but... It would kind of be a good ending.

Anyway, this episode basically ended with Damon getting his humanity back on, because of Sybil (obviously).

I don't really know what's going to happen next episode because from the previous, it seems like or we're in hell, or we're inside Damon's mind, which I think is more likely. Either way, it's going to be a good episode because from what I've seen and heard, we are going to have some old characters back and Vicky is basically 100% confirmed to be in this next episode so... Excited to see that.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 7 - "The Next Time I Hurt Somebody, It Could Be You"

Last rant of the week!

So, like the previous ones, this was also the Midseason finale of The Vampire Diaries and with this episode I felt the exact same thing that I did with Supernatural! This week, every single episode of every single series has been amazing and this is proof that my series are really the best ones!

Anyway, let's just get started with the poper rant because I don't want this to be too long.

The episode starts with a flashback! A flashback from Stefan when he was a ripper. I was already expecting this flashbacks. Actually, I expected them to happen in the previous episode but yeah. So, basically the flashbacks are about Stefan killing a camp full of people on the Christmas Eve of 1917.

We don't get any more information in that flashback and From that we move to the present day where Stefan is trying to make the most out of the last day that he has with Caroline and with freedom,

Obviously, because this is a Christmas episode, Caroline had a dinner planned, and everything was going fine, until Damon (who didn't really die) and Sybil crash the 'party' and Damon ends up staking Stefan sending him into a meeting with Cade.

That's in that meeting with Cade that we learn more about that flashback.

We learn that Seline witnessed Stefan killing all those people and that she planned on trading places with him (on serving Cade) but she reads his mind and discovers that he isn't really bad and so she erases the memory of him killing all those people. However, Cade had already decided, many years ago, that Stefan was the perfect servant for him, that's why he accepted the deal with Sybil.

Meanwhile, in that dinner, a lot of things happen. One of them being Caroline giving Damon a present that might change his plans about that night because, what we learn after that Damon is planning on killing someone that night.

We also see in this episode that Seline isn't that bad. So, basically Enzo and Bonnie go after the tuning fork because their friends need it. They find it with Seline, who agrees to give it to them if she talks to Rick about removing the psychic powers she had planted inside the twins, hoping that that redeems herself and so she won't end up in hell, where she knows Cade is going to torture her.

Damon ends up not killing anyone in the party and both him and Sybil leave. That's when he decides to give the present that Caroline gave him to Sybil, not knowing what was inside.

It was Elena's old necklace! In that moment I got really mad because I just couldn't believe that necklace that meant so much to the show and to me was now Sybil's. But, that's when memories of Elena come back to Damon and so he rips out Sybil's heart and leaves her to die.

Back to Stefan, who's still with Cade...

After seeing what he did, what he didn't remember he decides to propose a deal to Cade - He shuts down his humanity, getting more souls faster and Cade shortens Stefan's time to only one year instead of eternity, which Cade's agrees on.

Oh, something that we also see in this episode is that both Bonnie and the Twins get headaches with the tuning fork so, that might be a sign that Bonnie's magic might be back soon? I kind of hope so, because I feel like if she had her powers this would be over way more quickly. However, this way is more fun so... I don't know... Let's see.

Anyway, in the end, Damon and Stefan drive out of Mystic Falls and... Yes, Stefan shuts down his humanity. And the episode ends.

This wasn't such a big cliffhanger as the Supernatural or Arrow ones were, but it was still a pretty big ending leaving me really curious to know what's going to happen next.

Unfortunatelly, we are going to have to wait about a month for the next episode so... Hiatus here on the blog as well as 'in real life'.

That's right guys, the next post will only be on January 3 with the come back of Shadowhunters! So, yeah...

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 6 - "Detoured On Some Random Backwoods Path to Hell"

Back with the TVD rants!

Not for long though, because next week's episode is going to be the last one before the Christmas break so...

Anyway, let's not talk about that and let's talk about the crazy episode that aired last night.

So, as you may already know, we were going to finally meet Cade in this episode, and that was what happened. But before that, a lot more happened.

In the beginning of the episode we see everyone looking for the twins, while Damon and Sybil meet with Seline and the twins at a diner.

That's when we (kind of) discover Seline's plan. She plans on giving Josie and Elizabeth to Cade in exchange for her and Sybil's souls. To be quite honest with you, I didn't really think her plan was just that, but I guess we'll never find that out, because after she reveals that, Sybil also reveals that she has another plans. But, before we know that plans, we see Sybil messing with Enzo's head because, like she said, no one has ever escaped her.

Then, there's when the cute/painful Bonenzo moments start. Seriously, I'm loving Bonenzo in this season and I'm really happy that Enzo has a thicker plot in this season because like, 2 seasons ago, he was really pointless, but not in this one. Besides his romance with Bonnie, which is one of the most beautiful things in this episode and basically in this whole season, it's because of him that our gang finds where Josie and Lizzie are.

In order to both help and get information, Stefan gets inside of Enzo's head and manages to get in contact with Sybil. Obviously, things don't go that well and that's when we realize what's Sybil plan.

She then says that she will stop torturing Enzo if Stefan meets with her and Damon, alone. Of course, Stefan being Stefan, he agrees with that plan. And, you see where this is going right? It's after that that the twins summon Cade, who appears, and to which Seline makes her offer, the twins in exchange for her and her sister. Well, then Sybil makes her offer, instead of the twins, two powerful vampire brothers (Damon and Stefan).

Cade accept her offer but he can only 'have' the brothers if both of them agree and, obviously, Damon, because he's under Sybil 'spell' he agrees, and Stefan, because he's the good guy and wants to save Caroline's daughters, he agrees as well.

The twins soon get back to Alaric and Caroline and that's when both of them decide that it's better for them (the twins) if they're away from all of this, so they leave with Alaric until everything is 'in place'.

After that, Stefan reveals to Caroline about the offer and that he only had twenty-four more hours with her. And, Sybil also reveals something, but to Seline. She reveals that, because Seline left her in the voult for years, that the deal was only to free her own soul (Sybil's) and that Seline now will go to hell because she's no longer serving Cade.

In the very end of the episode, both Matt and Alaric get to stake Damon but, because his new immortality, he isn't killed. And, that's how the episode ends.

Overall, it was a good episode. Not a great one but it was still good. I'm really curious about Cade and hell and everything so, excited for the next episodes.

Probably, for what we saw in the preview, we won't see much of Cade in the next episode, but after the Christmas break, I think things are going to get really interesting!

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 5 - "Coming Home Was a Mistake"

Like promised, here I am with the new TVD rant and, as always, with pretty good things to say!

This season hasn't disappointed me one bit and this episode wasn't exception.

It had some pretty intense and dramatic scene as well as romantic scenes, my favourite being, obviously the Bonenzo scene, but I'll get to that later.

So, this episode is mostly about Tyler's funeral and, before I get really into the story, I just want to let you know that this isn't the end of Tyler! A lot of people have been like 'stressed out' and upset and mad at Julie for killing him but he will come back. He's going to be the character that ties everything together, which, in my opinion means that our gang is, at some point, going to hell and rescue him as well as, hopefully, Katherine (and I wish Kai as well). Besides that, Julie also said that Tyler is going to be in the season finale so, don't worry.

Ok, now that we got through that, lets get back into the storyline.

Matt informs everyone about Tyler's death so they prepare a kind of funeral for him, but that's when they are met by Damon.

Not much happen to be honest, but everyone is really upset with Damon so what does he do? Goes to Sybil so she can free himself from the mind control. Let's just say that she doesn't really like the fact that he still has some attachements. So, in order for him to be completely hers, she tells him to meet Stefan (and do something that I really don't remember).

Meanwhile, because it's Tyler's funeral, Seline babysitts the twins in her day off, which isn't really a good idea. She takes them to the Carnival which, apparently, isn't anything to worry about but that's when she 'compels' someone to give the twins a goldfish, which is dead. Because of that, Seline tells the twins that she's going to teach them the process of burial, telling them about Cade and making them do magic.

We also find out in this episode something pretty interesting. So, turns out that Tyler left some sort of box with stuff for Matt and, guess what's in that box? Things about Seline! He tells Matt in a letter than he has been looking for a siren named Seline and has pictures of her in that box. He also tells Matt that he wants him to keep going with the search.

To be honest, I really liked the fact that it was Matt the 'first' one to find out about Seline, afterall, his family is tied in some way with the sirens so, that was cool.

Anyway, back to Stefan and Damon.

So, Damon meets with Stefan. Stefan already had a plan, to lock Damon in a coffin until they are done with the Sirens problems but, lets say, his plan don't work out that well because Damon attacks him. Luckily, Caroline appears and knocks Damon out, locking him afterwards.

It seems like most of our problems are solved, kind of. At least, they aren't a 'problem' right now but... That's when everything goes down.

Georgie's body is found and the police calls Alaric's other intern, leaving the armory alone. That way, Sybil got to escape, taking the tuning fork with her and freeing Damon, who fully submits to her.

And now, let's talk about my favourite part of the episode.

Besides the Damon/Stefan/Sybil storyline and the Matt/Tyler storyline, there was also the Bonnie storyline.

Because she was keeping Enzo imprisoned she couldn't go to Tyler's funeral so, she kept trying to get Enzo's humanity back on.

She talks with Caroline and she remembers something. So, what she does is light the cabin where they are in, on fire, while a magical candle is light up keeping Enzo from getting out of there.

The purpose of this isn't Enzo 'being afraid of the fire' but being afraid to be alone, because Bonnie might end up dying, and she kind of does.

Luckily, Enzo gets his humanity back on when e realizes Bonnie is laying on the floor (almost) dead. She manages to get her out of the cabin but, since the candle is still lit, and the only person that can 'un-light' the candle is the person that lit it (Bonnie), Enzo can't get out.

Bonnie wakes up. She sees Enzo and, obviously, she can't let him die in there so she runs inside the cabin, lights down the candle with her hand and Enzo gets them both out of there with his super speed.

They then have a super sweet talk and Bonnie tells him that she won't ever leave him and, of course, they kiss.

Seriously, that scene was just so beautiful! I love Bonenzo! They're the cutest thing right now and I seriously hope they end up together in the end of the series.

Anyway, in the end, almost everything ends up fine. All our characters (apart from Damon) meet at the Carnival for Tyler's funeral which was also a pretty cute scene. Until... Matt goes to Caroline asking her about how are the twins since he hasn't seen them in a while. Caroline starts talking about how big they are and she shows him some pictures of them, and... Seline is in one of the pictures!

As soon as he sees it, Matt warns her and Caroline and Alaric go right away to Alaric's house where Seline was with the twins just to find out no one there and a drawing with them (the twins), Seline and Cade! And that's how the episode ends.

I seriously don't know what's going to happen next but it sure is going to be a lot of trouble. Just now, that is seemed like everything was going fine, everything is wrong again.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 4 - "An Eternity of Misery"

Wow, this episode!

I gotta tell you, this was probably the best episode of this season and probably one of the bests ever! I'm not going to say it is the best because I love my Kai episodes and every episode where Kai is, is better than this one but this was for sure one of the best!

This episode was full of twists and, when I thought I was right, I was wrong and then when I thought I had figured it out, I haven't so, it was pretty interesting but confusing at the same time.

So, basically this episode we found out about Sybil's back story.

Stefan and Alaric are trying to find out more about what Sybil is doing to Damon, and where Damon might be but Sybil, being sneaky, doesn't tell them anything and starts 'playing' with them. She starts telling a story about a village girl who was exiled in an island for having psychic powers. Right away I noticed she was talking about herself but it seems like a lot of people thought she wasn't, because then she starts saying that there she met another girl who also had psychic powers and that started doing really bad things, so everyone thought Sybil was the other girl.

That's when we find out that Sybil have a 'sister'. Not a blood sister but a sister with the same powers as her.

Soon something happens and Alaric has to go home because Seline called him saying Georgie broke into his house, leaving Stefan alone with Sybil.

That's when things starts getting confusing.

When I started watching the episode I was almost 100% sure that Sybil's sister was Seline, but then Georgie brokes into Alaric's house and then locks him in the vault, leaving me thinking that it was Georgie. But then, we see more of Sybil's story and I think it is Seline. But then, Georgie attacks Stefan and I think 'Ok, it is Georgie' leaving me a little upset.

But that's when things turn again. Sybil takes advantage of Stefan being knocked out, gets in his head and tells him basically everything, and that's when we see that it is Seline who's Sybil's sister.

Throught all of this Sybil keeps asking Stefan which of the girls he is, but he never answers. When he gets back to his senses she asks him again and he finally answers saying that he's both. Sybil says that he's worthy and tells him the full story, and that's when we learn about Kade, which, apparently, is the Devil. We also learn that Seline made a deal with him and that's why her and Sybil have to kill 'bad' people. They have to kill them for Kade.

After that, we jump to a scene were we see Seline killing Georgie and send her to hell. The cool thing is that, the way she went to hell, was the same way Katherine died, like getting pulled to somewhere and just vanishing, so this means that we are for sure getting Katherine back. I just wish we get Kai back as well because, if someone is in hell, that someone is, for sure, Kai.

Anyway, while all of this is happening in the Armory, we see Damon looking for someone in order to find something that Sybil wants. That's when we meet Peter Maxwell who, right away, I said was Matt's father and, guess who was right? Me!

So, this meant, we got Matt back as well!

This was a really cool twist as well, even though I guessed it was Matt's father.

But it was pretty cool to see him not knowing anything about vampires and all and later seeing Matt explaining everything to him. 

Well, but turns out, Peter really had what Sybil wants and Damon ends up finding it. It looks just like a ball but we don't really know yet what it does so, I'm excited to find out.

That's basically it guys!

Just like I said, a pretty cool episode! I'm really excited about finding out more about that 'ball' and Seline seems like a pretty bad villain, although I know the main villain is going to be Kade.

Also, I forgot to mention, in the end of the episode, we see Matt finding Tyler dead. We know that he won't be dead for long and my prediction is that, since he was a werewolf, he went to hell and that's who they will have to rescue, that's when they find Katherine and, hopefully, Kai. I'm saying this because Julie Plec said that Tyler is going to be major in this storyline and that he's the one connection every character in an emotional way so, let's see where this leads us.

The Vampires Diaries | Season 8 Episode 1 - "Hello Brother"

The beginning of the end started!

That's right guys, it is confirmed, season 8 of TVD is going to be it's last. I've known this for a while but I never got to mention it here on the blog so, although this is a happy post, because it's the return of The Vampire Diaries, this is also a sad one because it means it's the last TVD Season Premiere.

Also, although I'm so happy about this season (which I'll get into in a minute) I'm extremely sad that my favourite series of all time is coming to an end. 

If you follow me for a while on other social medias, you know that I've been here for this show since it's beginning! Seves years here for the show! I got through so many things in my life while watching this, I've been here since Stefan and Elena first met, I saw Katherine returning and dying, I've been here through all the amazing K's (Katherine, Klaus, Kol and Kai) and I even got to meet the cast last year and the fact this series is ending makes me so sad. And, that's why I've decided to record my reaction to the last episode (which is still a few months away, thank god) and put it on my youtube channel. It's going to envolve a lot of tears for sure but I just want to have this memory forever in my life.

Anyway, enough of sadness and let's get into Friday's amazing episode!

I gotta tell you, first of all, that I was pretty excited for this episode (and for this whole season, to be honest) because since is it's last, the producers have some pretty cool stuff planned for this season, one of them being that every episode it's going to be named after an iconic line from the first season and, this episode the name was, as you may have already noticed, "Hello Brother", the first iconic line from Damon.

And, this episode really was all about Damon! Damon and Stefan, Stefan being on the hunt after Damon.

As we saw in the end of last season, Damon and Enzo got under some type of 'spell' from that thing, that we know now it's called Sybil, and that's basically how this episode starts, with Damon and Enzo killing some people on the road.

We learn that Damon shut off his humanity and that he doesn't feel any remorse from what he's doing, but Enzo does, and that's why when they kill their last victims, he leaves some clues for Bonnie and Stefan to find them.

They end up finding them, and that's when Damon says he's iconic line "Hello Brother". Stefan and Bonnie soon realize that Damon and Enzo are not themselves and, after threatening Bonnie's life, they decide to leave.

Later we find out that Enzo does still cares, and just pretends that he doesn't in order to Sybil not hurting Bonnie. And, Bonnie also does realizes that, right in the end of the episode, when she's thinking about moments between them and she remembers a book that he used to read to her and that he's leaving clues related to that same book.

Meanwhile, we also learn that Alaric is now the head of the Armory and that him and his interns start to search for something in the vault, finding out an hidden passage which leads to some secret 'room' with ancient remains having distinct Greek roots.

And, we also have to talk about Caroline, who is also searching for clues while taking care of the twins, with the help of the new nany, Seline (portrayed by Kristen Gutoskie). 

As expected, a new character had to be threatned in the first episode so, obviously, Seline is attacked. By who you ask? Virginia St. John, who escaped the mental institution.

Luckily, Caroline gets there on time and saves Seline as well as the kids. Caroline tries to get some answers from Virgina but she ends up bleeding to death.

In the very end of the episode the most exciting thing of the whole episode happens, we see Sybil rise from the blook tank where she was in. And yes, she's a girl. And that's how the episode ends.

But I've seen some spoilers/curiosities, and I've learned that Sybil feeds from the sins of the people, that's why Damon and Enzo where looking for people that have commited some pretty dark sins.

And that's pretty much it guys.

I gotta tell you, I really liked this episode! Not that it had some pretty big plot twists or anything but the whole aesthetic of the episode and mainly the ending where really good so I think it made up for the rest of the episode. Also I can see that this season is a lot more gory and a lot more like season 1 so this got me really excited for the rest of the season.

Containment | Season 1 Episode 12 "Path to Paradise"

Yes, I'm still alive!

I know it's been over a month since my last update and I know I took too long with the final rant for Containment but 1) I've been holidays and 2) I kind of didn't want to watch the last episode because that would mean that the series is really over, not that I'm too sad about it not having a second season because you know I've always said that this series wouldn't have much of a story to have a second season but, I just didn't want to stop watching Chris Wood on my TV (I know, really weird) but yeah, I gotta get one with this rant, right?! So, let's jump right into it!

I gotta say, first of all, that I didn't really like the ending. It was a good 'conclusion' apart from one thing, we didn't get an antidote! Or did I just saw that wrong?! Because, from what I understood, the Cordon was still 'up' in the end and there was still a virus. Please, tell me if I'm wrong about that because I really didn't enjoy the fact that we didn't have a proper good ending.

Althought, I did enjoy the last part of the episode being Jake narrating how it all ended for everyone. Chris Wood does have a really good narriting voice and, I'm not saying this just because of this last part of the episode, but because I've already listen to his narration of one of Cassandra Clare's books and I really enjoyed it, even thought I didn't understand the story because it was a continuation of other book from the Shadowhunters series. I just listened to it because of Chris Wood, to be honest with you but yeah, this isn't about Chris Wood, this is about this last episode of the series so, let's get back to it.

So, even thought we didn't have a proper ending about the virus, we did have a good ending about 'who created it' and such. Leo, with the help of Lex and Lex's dad, got the story about Lommers out in his blog with good evidence and the police got Lommers. The episode ended saying that there would be hearings so, that was a good part of the ending!

About Teresa and Xander and the baby, well... Teresa and Xander get engaged and they stay in the cordon, in Teresa's mum store and I guess they will live happily ever after?!  I don't know, but it seemed like a good ending for them, even thought I did't really care for their characters... For sure, not my favourites.

One of the moments that I was most exciting to see was the moment of Lex and Jana's reunion and, let's just say, it didn't happen at all likeI was expecting it to be.

Lex fnds Jana while she's (and the others) trying to excape the cordon and he didn't even hug her or anything! But, in the end, it all went well, because, even thought they got back inside the cordon, Lex got back with her (and the others) and I guess they will also be living happily ever after?! I don't know, I just know that I ship them really hard and I'm really happy they are finally together, even if they're inside the Cordon.

And, about the cure... Even if we don't have a proper ending, they did find another person like Thomas, with antibodies against the virus, which may lead to a cure, so it's good!

That's basically it folks!

In the end, not everything turned out fine but most of the characters god a 'good ending', which I'm happy about.

Overall, wasn't the ending that I wasn expecting, so I'm kind of disappointed but, considiring that they finished shooting without knowing if there would be a season 2 or not, it was a good ensing.

Anyway, let me know your thoughts about the series finale and I guess we'll only 'see' eachother in September, when American Horror Story gets back!

Containment | Season 1 Episode 12 "Yes Is The Only Living Thing"

Spoiler Alert!

So, the series is coming to an end. Only one episode left (which I won't be able to watch live and post the rant right away). But first, we need to talk about last night's episode, which was huge!

I have to be honest with you and say that it wasn't my favourite. Maybe I just felt weird knowing that my ship had just ended, or maybe it wasn't as surprising as I thought it would be but we sure got a lot of answers.

As I said in my last post, I knew that Jana wouldn't just leave her friends behind, and that's just what happened. Basically the entire episode they have been searching for money, money to pay Meize (sorry if it isn't how you spell it), so he would show them the way to break out of the cordon.

Again, I didn't want to jump right into the end but... Before they got out, someone else got out of the cordon and... let's just say it wasn't pretty. The cops killed that person, and he wasn't even infected! And that was exactly how the episode ended so, now, I'm really afraid for Jana, Suzy, Teresa, Xander, the baby and Quentin. Yes, that's right, Quentin joined them to get out. Jake was supposed to get out as well but, of course, something had to happen and that gang that I absolutely hate threatened Dr. Cannerts so Jake has to stay at the hospital to 'project' him.

Anyway, so now I'm really afraid for them because if they do get out of the cordon (which I believe they will) the cops are most likely going to kill them and, I don't want that to happen! I just want to see the reunion between Jana and Lex because I believe it's going to be so beautiful. Well, if it eventually happens, which I doubt right now.

Talking about Lex... He finally finds out everything that happened! I'm not going to explain everything to you because even I didn't understand it clearly but, what matters is that it was indeed Lommers who 'created' everything. She is behind all of this!

It isn't really a surprise to us, which makes me, in a weird way, sad. I was expecting some big reveal about how all of this happened and, turns out, it really was Lommers. So, right now, the only exciting thing about the last episode is if Jana and the others get out of the cordon and, if they do, what will happen to them.

Also, I really want to see that cute reunion betweet Lex and Jana and, of course, I don't want Jake to die!

Containment | Season 1 Episode 11 "Nothing Gold Can Stay"

I know, another late post and I'm sorry about that. Also, I just wanted to let you know that I won't be able to upload the last rant in the week that the episode airs because I'm going to be away and I won't be able to watch the episode until the next week. Just letting you all know already.

It seems like it was ages ago since I last updated the blog but, in fact, it was just a week and some days. The fact that this series is already ending and that everything else is on hiatus is making the blog get less updates so, I would also want to know if you have any other series that you would like me to start watching and review because I really didn't want to stop posting on this blog. So, let me know if you want me to start a new specific series.

Anyway, onto the actual rant.

This episode was so heartbreaking! I didn't want to jump right into this because it is the last thing that is shown on the episode but... We got the answers that we wanted about Jatie and, unfortunately, it wasn't good news. That's right, Katie ended up dying and, it wasn't pretty, it really wasn't pretty.

I mean, the whole scene was beautifully executed like, the actors, the photography everything was really beautiful but... It wasn't the end that we wanted. I felt so sad for Jake. Now that we were getting somewhere with Jatie and that both of them realized that they were in love with each other... It was something so beautiful and... it had to end like this...

But, the episode wasn't just about Jatie (even thought it was mostly, at least, for me). We also got some answers about the whole Dr. Lommers/Dr. Cannerts thing. And, it was in this episode that I realized how cruel Dr. Lommers is! She just blamed Dr. Cannerts for everything! And, in fact, which we find out later in the episode, he isn't responsible for anything that happened with the virus! I mean, he sure knew about the other doctor and her husband being infected but it wasn't him who created the virus!

And, when Leo and Lex tried to do something that this, Leo disappeared! I don't believe he ran away, I believe someone kidnapped him or something because, it just wouldn't make sense for him to run away like that, now that they were finding everything about what really happened! I mean, they didn't know about Dr. Cannerts because he only told Katie and we know what happened to Katie but... Leo and Lex were so close so, someone must have done soemthing to him!

And, last storyline in this episode, Jana kind of finds a way out of the cordon but in order for her to get out, she needs to leave everyone behind and I don't believe Jana would do that! I love Jana for the person that she is, that she always helps others and cares about others more than herself so, I don't believe she's going to leave her friends behind.

Let's see what happened next episode (which airs tomorrow).

Containment | Season 1 Episode 10 "A Time to Be Born"

Spoiler Alert!

So, with the series almost coming to an end (we only have two more episodes left) everything is on stake now, and this episode, episode 10, was an episode, just like Kristen said, to get answers. 

Also, something that we've been waiting to happen all season happens, Teresa finally have her baby and, oh my! I guess we can start right there, since it's one of the major storylines in this episode.

I gotta say that with every episode I start liking Jana more and more! She has been my favourite since the very start of the series, even before, I already liked Christina and her character is just amazing! In the end, it was Jake (my sweet sweet love Chris Wood) who got everything to work out fine but Jane sure was an huge 'rock' in all of this. And, even though I don't really like Teresa, I can't even imagine the pain she was going through because, lets face it, she didn'g have any medication, anything to help her with the pain and, if it wasn't for Jake who appeared last minute, and who can deliver babies (which I didn't know was part of a police officer 'curriculum') everything might have happened not as good as it ended, at least, talking about Teresa and her baby, because not everything worked out fine. But, let's talk about something else first and talk about the bad stuff in the end.

In this episode we finally find out (kinda) who's behind all of this and, it's Dr. Lommers! Seriously, after last week's episode I really thought she wasn't as bad as I thought she was but, after all... She's the one who is behind all of this virus thing. I still don't know what's really up because it's all very confusing... All about she working with chief and with Dr. Cannerts, I really don't understand, but I guess we are going to find out in next week's episode, at least, that's the idea I have from what I saw in the preview.

Ok, I guess the time has come, we have to talk about how Julie Pleac always messes everything up!

Yeah, you can already probably imagine what I'm talking about (if you haven't seen the episode yet), she freaking had to make Katie sick! I mean, I already kind of knew this was going to happen, it's a Julie show afterall, but... I still had a little bit of hope but, in the moment that they said, right in the beginning of the episode that Katie wasn't sick, I just knew that something was about the happen. They wouldn't just through everything that happen in the last episode and then start this one with 'yeah, everything is fine'. Guess what, I was right and the very last scene of the episode is Katie coughing blood, while Jake is 'in front of her' (outside the room she's in, of course). 

I just knew they would mess up our ship. I mean, at least, she didn't kill Chris Wood again, which is already good because if she didn't... oh my.. I don't know how I would react!

This can still happen but... I don't think she will kill both of them but... You never know!

Containment | Season 1 Episode 9 "A Kingdom Divided Amongst Itself"

Omg you guys, this episode was just mind-blowing. This is the episode that we've all been waiting for and it truly was one of the best episodes so far. I know I say this a lot, basically in every rant but, the truth is, this series just gets better and better and, before you think I've changed my mind, I didn't. I still think they made the best decision in canceling the series because I think if they had another Season, they would mess up something that was great, and change it into something boring. It's better to have just one really good season than have more than one and being crapy. This is just my opinion, but I'll gladly here what you have to say about that. 

But, anyway, enough talking about the cancellation and let's talk about this great episode that we had last night!

So, once again, I live tweeted and, even though it wasn't as good as last Tuesday (in terms of being noticed by the cast) I was still noticed by Kristen and Christina, my faves right now (apart from Chris, obviously). Kristen is such a cutie and I don't even know how I could 'hate' her before the show. I guess I just didn't like the idea of her portraiting Chris Wood's character love interest, which is odd, because now I ship them so hard. And, because we are already talking about Jatie (their ship name), this was another huge episode for them. They had their first date and, omg Chris Wood sang in this episode! Let me just have this fangirling moment because I've been waiting for this for so long! I might be wrong but, I think this is the first time Chris sings in a TV Show and I've been dying to hear him sing in one because he truly sings beautiful, so as Kristen, That's right, she also sang in this episode and omg I didn't know that girl could sing that well! That made me like her even more, Kristen and her character Katie, and ship Jatie even harder. But, let's talk about something else, afterall, this series isn't all about Jatie (even though Chris is the reason why I started watching the series).

So, we are on Day 13, the day that we had a glimpse of in the first episode and it is as bad as we saw in the first episode, or even worse!

People started a riot and are trying to get outside the cordon. Lex and Lommers are still trapped inside that 'box' and aren't able to do anything, which leaves the National Guard Captain to lead everything and we know how a douche he is so, nothing could end well.

Meanwhile, Katie and Jake are having that date when they find out that some of Katie's students are missing and they have to go into the streets to find them. That's when everything gets so messed up! Jake goes somewhere to take of his uniform and leaves Katie alone in a corner. When he's coming back to her he bumps into one of the students that is with her tutor or something. He (Jake) finds out that they left Mary behind because she got sick. That's when we see Katie seeing Mary go inside a car. Of course Katie runs to where Mary is, but a car bumps into the car that Mary got inside and, when Katie gets there, Mary is already dead. Let's keep in mind that Katie didn't know that Mary got sick and so she carries Mary into somewhere and that's when Jake finds her and... The look on Jake's face just broke my heart. All of this that is happening seems so real and I just felt so sad and heart-broken for Jake and Katie and... Of course, when all of this ended, she had to get in quarentine and... I just don't have my hopes up... Knowing that this is a Julie show, she's going to mess our ship and let's just say everythings going to end badly, I just feel it.

Anyway, there's just one little thing left to be said, and that's Leo's storyline in this episode. 

Since Lex is nowhere to be found Leo keeps going with his investigation to know who Patient Zero was talking to on the phone when he got sick. 

And that's basically it. As you can see, this was an huge episode, full of emotions and it was just chaotic.

Containment | Season 1 Episode 8 - "There's a Crack in Everything"

I know, super later with this post.

If you follow me on twitter you know why I took this time out but I'm back and I have some exciting news, from the series, to share with you.

So, besides this being one of my favourite episodes, I decided to start live tweeting during the episodes, and Episode 08 was the first one that I live tweeted and it was a great live tweeting session. I got to be noticed by almost every cast member - Christina Moses, Kristen Gutoskie, George Young and Claudia Black - which was great.

Ok, now that I've told you that, let's get right into the episode.

In this episode we find out that Thomas is imune to the virus or, at least, we thought he was. I didn't want to jump right into the 'end' of the episode but, it turns out that he isn't imune, he is just a pacient that doesn't have symptoms, which turns out to be a huge problem, but I'll get into that later.

This episode was also really big for Jatie fans, which I became one recently. Katie and Jake become closer than ever in this episode after finding out that something really was going on in the day of the outbreak and they find out who Patient Zero really is.

Jake tells everything to Lex, just one last time because, after trying to get inside the Cordon, Lext gets suspendend and that's in that moment, when Lex and Jake talk, that Lex tells Jake that if he really does like Katie that he should do something, and that's kind of what happens. Jake starts showing more his interest in Katie and later in the episode, almost in the very end, one of the cutest/hotest/weirdest scenes happen. Katie and Jake finally kiss, but through a shower cortain. That might be a little difficult to explain to you if you haven't seen the episode but it was just sweet and weird at the same time. Even after a week, I don't know what to feel about that scene. I liked it, I'm glad it happened but... It was just a tiny little bit weird.

The third storyline in this episode was Jana's storyline, where Suzy, her and the other try to excape the cordon, failing. I really thought they were going to make it but... I guess I was wrong.

And then, that's when the wrost thing happens (at least, in this episode, because episode 9 was way worse). Katie and Jake, following Dr. Lommers orders, try to extract Thomas out of the cordon, so they can start working on an antidote but is in that moment that Dr. Cannerts finds that Thomas isn't immune but just doesn't have symptoms and tries to stop the extraction. He does manage to do it but Lex and Lommers end up getting in contact with him and so they have to be in quarentine inside that 'box', while the other people inside the cordon decide to start a riot and... That's how the episode ends.

Episode 9 is the Day 13, the day that we saw in the beginning of the season so, it's bad. I already saw the episode so expect another rant in a few hours.

And yeah, that's it for this episode. I quite liked it. As I said before, it was probably my favourite episode but again, episode 9 was epic but, I'm not going to talk about it here so, keep an eye for the next rant.

Containment | Season 1 Episode 7 - "Inferno"

So, here I am again, today, just like I said, to rant about the episode that aired last night.

I'm going to start with something that I say quite a lot in this rants but, I just need to say it again - I can't get over how hot Chris Wood looks on this show! Seriously, I fell in love with him while he was on The Vampire Diaries, and I always thought he was hot but... damn, he looks so hot in this show!

Ok, I said it! Now, let's get to the point of this rant, the actual episode!

This episode was basically all about what was happening inside that building where Jana and her friends are staying.

Lex barely appeard in the episode but, when he did, it was with really important stuff to the episode. So, I feel like we should talk first about him and then get into the main storyline of the episode.

In this episode we got to know a little bit more about Lex, about the relationship with is dad as well as all the things he's dealing now that he's 'againt' the police and stuff. And, about this last part, the the episode ended, omg, I felt so bad for him. Which leads us now to the main storyline, the gang (the other one, the one that was in the garage) attacking Jana and everyone that was inside.

It started right where the previous one ended. They decided to let Teresa's mother and the other guy come up. Turns out he only wanted their phone but, of course, when they gave it to them, he wanted to take Xander, Teresa and he mum back to the supermarket.

That's when Jake appears and gets to make him go without them. Jake gives Jana the flashdrive that Lex gave to him so she could recover the data that was there and that they needed and, when she's doing that, that's when everything starts to get bad.

It turns out the guy that left told the other gang about the chemicals and everything that they had in there and, as addicts as they are, they started to try and get inside of the floor they were.

They start working on a plan but it doesn't really work out and one of the gang members almost gets inside. Luckily, Jana takes some action and he doesn't get in.

Of course this doesn't end here and they have to come up with another plan.

One thing that I quite enjoyed was them all working together. It was pretty nice to see almost every character come in action.

Skipping to the very end... Teresa's mother ends up getting bitten by one of them. We saw previously that some of the addicts were infected so we don't really know if the one that bite her was so she has to leave with Jake to the hospital.

And, even with all of this happening, Jana gets to recover the stuff that was in the flashdrive that they needed.

The very last scene of the episode is that one with Lex that really made me sad about him. So, long story short, while all of this was happening, Jana got to call Lex telling him that she really needed help so, what did he do? He tried to get inside the cordon. Of course, he was caught and the national guard 'arrested' him. And, that's the final scene. 

Overall, I really liked this episode. The series gets better and better and it really is a good series! Still, I'm not sad about the fact that they cancelled it because I think that if they draged the series for more seasons it would ruin the show so, I prefer just one good season!

Containment | Season 1 Episode 6 - "He Stilled The Rising Tumult"

First of all, I wanna say sorry for posting this so late. I know this isn't about my personal life but I feel like I should explain you why I haven't done it already.

I've been caught up with uni work and also, I went out during the weekend, so I wasn't available at all to do it.

But, today I'm here so, since yesterday another episode aired, expect a new update right after this one.

So, let's get into the actual rant.

I personally really liked this episode. It wasn't my favourite (it is still the previous one) but it was still really good. I feel like this one was a little more chilled, even thought major things happened in this episode.

I gotta start with saying that I loved the opening scene, with Chris Wood aka Jake Riley looking extremely hot. (I thought I should mention that). Ok, besides that, the next thing in the episode, and basically the major point through out the whole episode, was Lex trying to find out what is going on. Along side with Jake, and now also with Leo, he goes after the security cameras footage. Of course he goes through a lot of problems and this part of the episode got me really into it. I really am super curious about the hell is going on. Also, the captain (or what his 'name' is) is really starting to 'mess with me'. I'm 100% on Lex side so... 

The second major thing in this episode was the Jake and Katie look out for Thomas. We find out in this episode that Thomas' whole family died, or is sick, so Katie and Jake go after him. They eventually find him. What is surprising about this whole thing is that he isn't sick at all. Katie and Jake then take him to the hospital again. This gives both Jake and Katie a little bit of hope on getting a cure for the virus, because Dr. Cannerts said that he needed someone imune to the virus in order to come up with a cure. Of course they may be a little naive or Thomas may still develop symptoms but, until now, it's a little of hope. And, to be honest, I believe he is the answer to all of this, at least, the cure part. We only have a few episodes left so... They can't drag this out much more.

And then, the third and last major point of this episode was Xander and Teresa escaping the gang that is taking over their shop. Let's just say that that gand is really pissing me off. I know I said this already in a previous rant but, even if all of this with the virus wasn't enough!

Anyway, so they do escape and they go to where Jana and her friends are staying. Everything seems to be just fine. Then Teresa's mum arrives there, just like they planned but... They (the gang) tracked them and end up going with Teresa's mother and, the final shot of the episode is one member of the gang pointing a gun at Teresa's mum.

Seriously, this really makes me mad, even though I don't really care about Teresa's mother or even Teresa. I still find her character annoying and I couldn't care less about her story but still... The gang pisses me off even more.

So, this is my opinion about this episode.

I would say to leave me your thoughts about the episode in the comments but I believe you have already seen episode 7 and prefer to talk about that one so... That rant will be up in about an hour so... Keep an eye on that.

Containment | Season 1 Episode 5 - "Like a Sheep Among Wolves"

I gotta say this again, this series gets better and better!

And, even thought you might think that I'm sad with the news that we got last week, I actually am not. In case you don't know what I'm talking about, last week it was confirmed that Containment will only have one season, this one. It looks like it was their plan all along, that's why they launched it as a limited series event, but they were still thinking if they should have a second season or not and, even though it had more views than iZombie, which is the series Containment is 'replacing', I guess it wasn't just enough and so, last week, they officially cancelled the series.

So, as I said before, I'm not sad about it. I always said, even in my rants, that I didn't see the series going as far as one season. Yes, it is a great story, but that is it, a great story for one season.

And yeah, I think I've talked too much already so... Let's get into the proper rant.

This episode got me with all the feels! I must say it was my favourite episode so far, and not just because Chris Wood looked super hot in this one (but it was a little bit because of that).

So, basically, the episode was all about getting food to the people inside the cordon and, oh man, how much trouble that simple job brought.

First, Lex was kind of 'fired' from being the 'front man', which is now their 'boss' (excuse me, but I just can't remember his name).

Then, just all the food drop thing was a lot of trouble. People were already getting hungry, like real hungry, so they just couldn't wait to get their food. But, that wasn't the big problem. The big problem was the gang that took over Teresa and her mum's supermarket last episode. They've heard about the food drop, of course, everyone did because everyone was supposed to go there to get  one box, but that gang thought they were better than everyone and got there and stole all the boxes. 30% of the people inside the cordon still got their box but the majority didn't, because those assholes stole them all! 

Seriously, you don't know how pissed I am! Even if all the virus thing wasn't enough, that gang had to show up and ruin everything. I was feeling the exact same thing as Jake was! I was really really pissed!

And then, after all of this, we also kind of fnd out that they have all been lying to us (watchers and characters). It looks like patient zero, wasn't really patient zero. 

Katie starts looking and even go and asks Dr. Cannerts who clearly lies to her. Turns out it was Dr. Sanders or her husband who were the patient zero, or even someone else! Katie finds out that they died before they find about patient zero, which means they got infected first! And she also find out that the documents and video tapes have been erased, which means, someone is clearly keeping something secret.

So, it looks like the doctors, the feds and who knows who else, are all together, lying about something. And, the truth is, I never really paid attention to this. I guess it just passed through me because I didn't realise that Dr. Sanders was infected before patient zero. I guess I got to pay more attention to the details.

And yeah, that was basically it. But, I think I should mention some other things that I quite enjoyed in this episode, afterall, it is my favourite episode so far!

One of those things that I really liked was all the Lex and Jana relationship. I think I always mention this in my rants, but they are just so cute, even thought they weren't really together in the episode!. And you know I'm all about the ships! 

Something that I also enjoyed was the fact that Jake kind of admitted that he loves Katie and, once again, I'm all about the ships so...

Oh, and that last scene when Jake is burning the body of his cop friend and the other little girl, damn that scene was intense! I felt so sorry for Jake and so sad as well... And then, at the same time, I just couldn't stop thinking how hot Chris looked in that scene. I know, inappropriated timing but, I just couldn't help it!

And yeah, I think this concludes my rant about this episode!

So far, my favourite episode, for sure!

Containment | Season 1 Episode 4 - "With Silence and Tears"

Spoiler Alert!

I swear to god, this was the most emotional episode ever! Ok, it wasn't the most emotional one ever, but it sure was the most emotional so far on this series.

I feel like with this episode I got to get to know every character even better and fall in love with their story, even with Leo.

I liked specially Lex and Jana's relationship and Jake and Katie's. Sure, Jake and Katie aren't together yet but this episode made me ship them even harder! Just to think that before the show started I hated the thought of them together and now... I'm here rooting for them to get together. But just after all of this virus thing end, because I don't want my dear Jake to die.

Ok, enough rambling and let's get in to the actual episode (even though all I talked about is related to the episode but... you get it.)

Things are getting worse and better at the same time in and outside the cordon. 

The episode starts with a message from Lex to the people inside the Cordon saying that the fact that they shut down phone connection and internet connection is actually making the kills drop, which is a good thing. The down side is that Lex is starting to doubt all that Dr. Lommers have been telling him and I could see him struggling with the fact that he couldn't reach Jana and, truly, all he wanted was to know that she's fine and be with her during all of this.

I'm gonna jump a little bit ahed and say that they eventually end up talking on the phone, because Jana is super duper smart and she manages to get a phone connection and they talk a little bit. Not enough, though but it was nice for both of them to hear each others voice. And, in the very end of the episode, we see Jana at the window with a sign saying "I Love You Lex" and a drone that is watching the inside of the cordon is 'filming' it and  Lex ends up seeing the sign. It was such a cute moment! I even cried!

Meanwhile, Jake and Katie start to develop a bigger connection. Jake is even getting close to her son.

This episode truly showed us who Jake really is and this is exactly how I imagine Chris Wood to be. I don't really know why. I mean, I know a little bit how he is, because I've met him before, and in a way, he is a bit like Jake. Chris Wood is really caring and he really shows appreciation towards us, fans and, in a way, Jake is like that too, he just doesn't show his 'affection' that often. But, deep down, he is a caring person, a person who cares about others. 

I could keep going with all this but I think you got the point.

So, this episode made me fall in love even more with both Jake and Chris Wood and I'm starting to like Jake more with each episode!

And, like I said before, I even started to understand Leo's point. 

I think I should also mention a big part in this episode, which was the fact that Xander, Teresa's boyfriend tried to get inside the Cordon, failed it but, with Leo's help he got in and he basically made a deal with Leo. Leo would help him get inside the cordon and, in exchange, Xander would tell him how his friends inside the cordon are. In the end, we see that Leo's friends dies with the virus and, in that moment, I felt really bad for Leo. 

In the end, just Dr. Lommers (who wasn't even in this episode) is 'fine' with all this.

Also, that gang that tried to rob Teresa and her mum tries to do the same again but some other gang intervenes and basically gets in charde of the supermarket.

Overall, this was a really good episode! I really liked it, even though I feel like not much happened. I feel like, comparing this one with the previous one, this one was a lot more soft, even though we got deep in to the character's relationships.
