Arrow | Season 8 Episode 9 - "Livin' in the Future"

Hello everyone!

Here we are, with Arrow's second to last episode. I feel like I'm still not ready to talk about the ending of this show so let's just talk about this exact episode. At least, for now.

Well, first of all, you might be confused with the title of this one. So, originally, the episode was supposed to just be called "Green Arrow & The Canaries", but because they're turning this episode into an whole show, they wanted a 'proper' title for the episode thus "Livin' in the Future". Post that, yes, this is the start of a new show (that might or might not be picked up). I have some mixed feelings on this new show. I like the idea of a female centered show (that's why I wanted Wayward Sisters to be picked up) and I love that Dinah is a main character in this, but you all know how I feel about Mia and Kat McNamara. Love Kat, but don't think she's a good actress nor I stand Mia. And so, because of that, I'm on defense with this show. But it did look good from this first episode.

So, this episode follows a whole new timeline and a time period. Here we are in 2040, a different future (after the events of Crisis) where Mia is actually engaged to JJ. Weird, I know. Also, and maybe my favorite part of the episode, Dinah is living a completely different life, where she owns a bar and in which the first scene with her is her playing the piano and singing. You know I love Juliana is she sings all the time on her Instagram, and she's really good, I might add, so I completely loved this! Plus, in the comics, Dinah does sing (which she also does in the new Birds of Prey movie) so this makes it even better.

But the main character of this (at least, this episode) is really Laurel. She's the reason why the three reunite, when Helena Bertinelli's daughter, Bianca, is kidnapped and Laurel needs Dinah and Mia's help to find her. The issue is, Mia doesn't remember anything from before the Crisis, and so that's when Laurel uses a ring created by Cisco that recreates J'onn J'onzz's abilities and restores her memories. And after working some issues out, the three go after Trevor, Bianca's ex-boyfriend, who then basically reveals that he's working for someone else.

They didn't find Bianca but, later on, while Mia and William are talking, Mia recognizes the arrowhead that was given to William has the same tattoo on Trevor's hand. And that's when the episode comes to an end, with both of them being tranquilized, as well as someone breaking into JJ's house to restore is memories and make him remember that once he was the leader of the Deathstroke Gang.

I must say, I'm curious to see how this story-line goes so, for that, I want the spin-off to happen. But ultimately, I'm still unsure.

The Flash | Season 6 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part Three"

Part Three of the crossover is here and I have quite a few opinions so, let's get into it.

After really thinking about everything that has happened in the last three episodes, I've came to the conclusion that, so far, this crossover isn't as good as I wanted it to be. By the way, this review will not only have thoughts on this particular episode, but the Crisis overall, from what we've seen so far. That's right, I'm a bit disappointed with what we have seen until now. I was supper stoked about getting all my favorite heroes interaction with each other that I forgot that might be a problem. And what I felt was that they had to include so many heroes and so many Easter eggs that the magic of a crossover, and the overall plot, was lost. Truth be told, I don't even think that had put that much effort into the story as they have in the small details. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving all the little things (you know how excited I was with that two seconds Titans cameo) but I wanted more and, so for, I'm not getting it. There were a few great moments in this episode tho, so let's get into those.

Black Lightning was finally incorporated into the Arrowverse and that was definitely a good thing. So glad they did that. I'm not even the biggest fan of Black Lightning as a show, I mean, I watch it, and I like it, but I still prefer Arrow, The Flash and Legends, but seeing him among all my favorite heroes sure made me appreciate Black Lightning a lot more and I love his interaction with Barry. Who would have thought that they have so much in common? I really like that heartfelt conversation that they had and sure one of the highlights not only of the episode, but the whole crossover.

They also introduced a whole new character in this - Ryan Choi - who is played by Osric aka Kevin in Supernatural. Of course I liked this even though I'm still confused on why he's here and why is he a Paragon (that whole thing with Paragons is a whole other story, and I'll get into that in a minute).

But, for sure, the best part of this episode, with no doubt, was Lucifer! Yes, Tom Ellis made a cameo as Lucifer and I loved it! And I don't even watch Lucifer (yet, I've been planning to). I just loved his interaction with Constantine and, truth be told, it was just so surprising! A bit like the Titans cameo!

And speaking of Lucifer, Constantine, Diggle and Mia went to Lucifer for help to find Oliver's soul and getting a way into Purgatory which is, none other than Lian Yu. Of course, it had to be! And, although I loved this, mainly because they did get Oliver back, I have so many issues with this plot. I mean, the Purgatory and everything makes sense but then, as soon as they find Oliver, he doesn't recognize Diggle nor Mia and it only takes Diggle saying 'It's me Oliver, Diggle!' and, just like that, he remembers?! I mean, I get it, they had to get to the point but c'mon! It was such a sloppy writing! But it doesn't end there. As soon as they find Oliver's soul, Spectre appears and says that Oliver has to be the new Spectre and... Oliver just says Okay?! Once again, I get it, they have to get to the point, but it was way too quickly and I didn't like that. I liked that Oliver is back though and, for that, I can't be too mad.

What made me kind of made was something else. Or a few something elses.

First, they just find the remaining three Paragons in the beginning of  the episode - Barry, Paragon of Love, J'onn, Paragon of Honor, and Ryan Choi, Paragon of Humanity. The way they found that kind of annoyed me but what annoyed me the most was who were the Paragons. I mean, I should have seen that Barry was one of them, but they could come up with something different. Plus, they could make Black Lightning one of them and it would make a lot more sense to why they brought him instead of what they came up with, but I guess that's just me.

Something else that I was expecting but still, I didn't like, was the way around Barry vanishing that they found. The article said The Flash varnishes, but they didn't say which Flash. Yes, that's what they came up with and, instead of Barry vanishing, it was Flash from Earth-90, played by John-Wesley Shipp that vanished. It was a cute moment though, with some actual footage from the 90s The Flash show, but I guess that was it. And since I didn't watch that show, I didn't feel what most people felt.

Then, there were this whole West-Allen moments that you know how I feel about them. I just don't ship them and I don't even think the actor ship them because the chemistry between them, specially in this episode, was zero. 

And yeah, in the end, the Anti-Monitor while working through Lyla, kills the Monitor and destroys the last Earth, Earth-1, and everyone in them. Luckily, Pariah sends the seven Paragons to the Vanishing Point, where there is no time and space, and it's in that moment that they learn that Lex Luther used the Book of Destiny to replace Earth-96 Superman with himself. And that's it.

My bet is that this is going to be a Infinity War/Endgame scenario, where this was the lead up and now the last two episodes are going to be the final battle where actually all the heroes are going to be present. I also think that it's in those two episodes that some major deaths are going to take place because, so far, the only people dead are not important characters and there has to be some repercussion. 

Overall, it isn't the best crossover but it isn't finished yet so I'm hopeful (as always). Heck, at least, Oliver is not dead, and that does for me. Oh, and I forgot to mention, there were not enough Barry and Oliver interactions this crossover and they are one of the main reasons why I love crossovers so I guess that's why I'm not loving this one.

Supergirl | Season 5 Episode 9 - "Crisis on Infinite Earths: Part One"

Hello guys.

The Crisis is here and, to be honest, I don't know how to deal with it.

This was only the first episode and this crisis is already a nightmare. For numerous reasons, really, but let's start with the good stuff.

You might be confused with that banner, since this is the Supergirl episode and the banner says Gotham. Well, the crossover starts with an introduction to what is happening with this crisis while showing a bunch of Earths getting wiped out. That was basically the only really good moment this episode - the beginning. I got so pumped when they showed a glimpse of Titans! In case you don't know, I also watch pretty much all of the DC shows on the DC Universe streaming, Titans being one of them, and I heard rumors that Titans were going to be in the crossover. Well, this isn't really what I wanted but, to be honest, it was enough to get me excited and to leave me happy. If this is the only Titans thing we get in the crossover, I'm fine with it but, of course, I would love to see more of them in it. But my excitement ended there.

This being the Supergirl episode, of course they focused a lot more on the Supergirl characters and all the plot (basically) happened in Earth-38, where Supergirl is from. I mean, I was expecting that, but the thing is, I stopped watching Supergirl like 2 seasons ago (in the Crisis on Earth-X episode. I did watch Elseworlds, but that was it) and so, I wasn't ware of what had been happening with her and, truth be told, nor I cared. I stopped watching the show because I didn't like it anymore (plus, Melissa just annoys me so, there's that) and I would rather have Black Lightning be part of the crossover, with it's proper episode (I know he's going to be in the crossover) than Supergirl but okay, I knew that going into it. But what made it worse was that Mia was also part of the crossover. I didn't know they were going to include the kids from the future (in Arrow) in the crossover and so having Kara and Mia in the same episode?! That was annoying af! And I should prepare myself because I'm sure there's going to be more of that. But yeah, back to the plot.

The Anti-matter is getting to every planet and so Brainy, a character that I didn't know at all, warned Kara and the others of it being directed to Argo (the place where Superman, Lois and their baby are, apparently) and she warns them to leave the planet. Unfortunately, they can only save their baby in a really cute nod to the way Clark was sent to Earth.

Meanwhile on Earth-1, Harbinger (aka Lyla) recruits Barry, Batwoman, Oliver, Mia, Sara Lance and Ray, to fight this crisis, and sends them to Earth-38 as well as rescues Superman and Lois from Argo and also sends them to help Kara save the people from her Earth.

There's so much that goes on into this but basically the Anti-Monitor is the one that is sending all this anti-matter to destroy the universe and, before working on a plan to defeat him, our heroes try to save as many people as they can from Earth-38, working alongside with the DEO and Lena (who, apparently, is not in good terms with Kara nor Alex. Don't ask me why).

After learning that Jonathan (Superman's baby) ended up in Earth-16, Lois, Sara and Brainy leave to get him while the other stay behind to fight the dark forces of the Anti-Monitor.

During all of this, there's a few moments that are kind of important, such as Oliver passing the mantle of Green Arrow to Mia (which I didn't like) and Oliver talking with Barry and learning that Barry is supposed to die as well, leading Oliver to go and argue with the Monitor about the deal that they made in the last crossover. The Monitor basically says that it's a different situation now and that's it.

Then follows the 'usual' fight scenes of our heroes against some shadow demons that, to be honest, looked like dementors from Harry Potter which, if Cisco was there, he would totally point that out and, deeming the battle as lost, the Monitor breaches our heroes off-world. But not before the unthinkable happens! Oliver is the last one to be 'breached' and he 'fights' the Monitor saying that there's still people to save, fighting until his last breath, literally.

The Monitor does breach Oliver to Earth-1 but just in time for him to say his goodbyes. And just like that, Oliver dies. In the first our of the crossover. I still can't believe it. I'm pretty much in denial like, it just can't be possible! I knew that Oliver was going to die eventually, even if I still believed he wouldn't but like that?! It was so anti-climatic and just not the death he deserved! In the first hour of the crossover? Alone? Not even Diggle was there? In the Supergirl episode? I mean, c'mon! I know everyone was expecting him to die in the last hour but at least kill him in the Arrow episode! What the f*ck is this? I don't know what to think. I'm sad, I'm in denial, I'm angry... I just won't believe he's really dead until the crossover is over. There's still 4 more episodes to go and anything can happen. Barry can go back in time, Gideon in the Wave-rider might still be able to help him, I don't know! Something has to happen! This won't be the end of Oliver, Stephen Amell is still credited in the next episodes of the crossover (at least) but it won't be the same if it's just flashbacks or Oliver from another Earth. It has to be our Oliver. 

Anyway, the episode then ends with Nash Wells, now a "pariah"saying that he released the Anti-Monitor and that everything is doomed.

Well, needless to say that I can't wait to watch Part 2 because I just need to know more about Oliver and I just want him back already! Also, next episode is the Batwoman episode and that show I'm watching so it's going to be a lot better! However, I won't be able to live tweet because I watch the show with my sister and she can't watch it live with me so, I'm going to have to wait and watch it later. Hopefully I won't see many spoilers.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 7 - "Purgatory"

Hello people!

Welcome to, basically, the last episode of Arrow.

Okay, it's not really the last one but, if you think about it, the next episode is Crisis, and after that is the Pilot for the spin-off about the Canaries and then that is the actual last episode. But the truth is, that last episode might not even have Oliver and I'm not prepared for that. And the overall plot of this episode, and the way it ended, was pretty much a goodbye and that already made me so emotional... I'm seriously not ready for that. So, let's not think about it and focus on this episode (which is already emotional enough).

This whole episode is a comeback to Season 1 and, although that wasn't my favorite season, it was so good to remember how everything start. It was a really good trip down memory lane (as was this whole season, really). So, our heroes wake up in Lian Yu, where Lyla tells them that William has to create a weapon for the Monitor while the plutonium is being transported by Dinah, Rene and Roy to the island.

Right there things start going wrong. Dinah, Rene and Roy are hit by a missile and they all crash in the island, with all of them in one side of the island and the plutonium in the other side of the island. And so, that's when Oliver and the rest of them decide to split up - Oliver and Laurel go get the plutonium while Diggle, Lyla and Connor go get the others, with Mia and William staying in the bunker so William can keep working on that weapon.

Oliver and Laurel do get the plutonium, but they are confronted by Edward Fyers and Billy Wintergreen - former enemies of Oliver. A fight takes place but Edward and Billy escape. Oliver can't just let them go so he tells Laurel to take the plutonium to William, since they have no time to waste, while Oliver goes look for his enemies to take care of them once and for all. That's when he encounters a familiar face - Yao Fei - who joins Oliver on the look for his former enemies. Unfortunately, pretty soon after that, they are caught on a net.

Meanwhile, Diggle's team find a pinned down Roy, whose right arm is pinned. With nothing else to do, they just amputate Roy's arm and everyone gets back to the bunker.

There, the teams reunite and William proceeds to build the weapon, which requires Lyla's DNA. Once she touches it, the Monitor calls out for her and she enters a portal. 

After that, a bunch of goodbyes are exchanging, and that was the part of the episode that got me. Mainly the William and Oliver scene. I know most people liked the Mia and Oliver one, but you all know that I don't care for her so the William and Oliver one did it for me. That one made me really emotional and by the end of the episode I was already crying - when Lyla arrives in her new alias as Harbinger to inform them that the Crisis has begun. And then, they showed the same scene they showed in the end of The Flash - the Nash one.

I'm going to say the same that I said on the The Flash rant - I'm super excited about Crisis, but I'm so not ready. I'm not ready to have Arrow end and to see Oliver (and possibly Barry) die. I still have hope that he won't die. I might be in denial but, until it really happens, I'm going to keep on believing.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 5 - "Prochnost"

Hello people!

So, we're halfway through the season and I don't know to feel about that. On one hand I feel sad it's almost ending but, at the same time, it feels like they still have a long way to go to see everything come to an end and, although it has been a good 'memory lane' type of season, there's still so much about the Monitor and Crisis that we have to figure out that the time left doesn't seem enough.

In terms of this episode I have to say that I was on defense. I also was on the last episode and turned out I loved it and, after that episode, I was sure this one couldn't be better. And it wasn't, but it was still so much fun. Last episode focused a lot of Oliver and William's relationship, which I loved, and this one more on Oliver and Mia's, which I didn't really love, but there was so much more to this episode that I kind of forgot about that part.

The episode actually starts with Oliver teaching Mia stuff and it was really nice to see that Oliver is so much better than Mia. I just feel like so many people have been giving her too much credit and it was good to see who's the OG and who really gets it (Oliver). But pretty quickly our Team goes to Russia, which we saw in the preview.

For this mission Oliver takes William, Mia and Laurel, while Diggle goes looking for something else (and someone else, which I'll get in a minute). But before they leave we see Laurel meeting with Lyla, who's working with the Monitor. Lyla tells Laurel that she needs to get the plans that they're going to Russia for before Oliver does and steal them for the Monitor. Laurel agrees so but, as you can imagine, the entire episode, as for Laurel's arc, is dedicated to make her doubt that agreement and make her see that she has changed.

Arriving in Russia, of course, we had to get to Anatoly. It wouldn't be a Russia episode without Anatoly. And I loved it. I've always liked Anatoly, even when he wasn't his best. He kind of disappointed me a few times, but I'm so glad that he's back to being on Oliver's side and helping him, just like this time with those plans they have to steal.

They don't really get to steal the plans but Burov, the owner of the plans, offers a deal - a cage match for the drive, which Oliver agrees to. The fights in this episode were pretty cool, even though I'm not Mia's biggest fan and I don't really like when she's showing off, but it was fine. I mean, it wasn't really fine because they were caught and the Bratva kidnapped Oliver and Mia, and it had to be Laurel, Anatoly and William to rescue them. In the end, they are able to get the plans and everything ends well.

At the same time, Diggle goes to Roy for help. Yes, Roy is back! And after the two of them get what they were searching for (plutonium) Roy decides to stay with the Team and help them during this Crisis and against the Monitor. 

Later that night, Laurel turns down Lyla's offer to join her mission as Oliver and Diggle discover Lyla's betrayal, just to end up tranquilized.

The episode ends like that and we see in the preview that, the next episode, is going to be basically all 'imagination'. Just a filler episode, as I said on my twitter. It will have Quentin Lance back, which is nice, but I feel like this season we can't waste time on a filler episode so I just hope that the next episode leads somewhere.

But that's it guys. Not my favorite episode this season but still a solid one.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 4 - "Present Tense"

Hello everyone!

OMG! What was that episode?!

I can't believe I'm actually saying this but this episode was good! Like, really good! I mean, it's no surprise that I love Arrow but loving this much an episode that includes a lot of elements from the flash-forwards?! That's new! But I'm really glad that I did because I would be extremely sad if Arrow ended on a bad note but, so far, it's impeccable!

So, we all know how last episode ended and we get right into where that left of. It was amazing to see everyone's reactions. William was my favorite, by far! He just hugged Oliver right away and... You're going to hear me say this a lot in this rant but William and Oliver together in this episode gave me life and I adored every single scene that they were together like.. Ugh! Loved it so damn much! Then, there's Mia who, obviously, never met Oliver and is really on defense. Disclaimer! She annoyed the heck out of me during this whole episode so... There's that. And then there's Connor who, at this point, in the present time, hasn't been adopter by Diggle yet so... That is weird.

Anyway so FTA decides to not tell their dads (and everyone else) about the events of the future which, thinking about it, it's the right thing to do. We all know how knowing the future can mess things up. But that is until Grant Wilson leads an army as the new Deathstrokes to destroy Star City. With this, comes a whole big mess. Mia and Connor think that Grant Wilson is JJ, and so they are compelled to come clean and tell Team Arrow about how JJ turns out to be the 'new Deathstroke' and how he kills Zoe. The good thing is that, by knowing that, they work on doing things differently and see if they can change anything in the future - starting with catching Grant, which they do by working all together.

That was a great scene, even though, again, Mia kept messing with my nerves and yeah... I just don't like her.

This episode also brought back one of my favorite characters - Curtis. He not only helped with catching Grant, but also helped Oliver on finding more about the Monitor and the 'weapon' that was used to destroy Earth-2 which, by the end of the episode, they learn that is in Russia. 

A bunch of other things take place in this episode such as Laurel and Dinah starting the Canaries 'thing', Rene begins is campaign in the Glades to become Mayor, and yeah, a lot of father/son moments between Oliver and William that I just loved and were, by far, my favorite thing about this episode.

The episode ends with the Monitor appearing, this time to Laurel, and making a deal with her that he'll bring Earth-2 back under the condition that she betrays Oliver. Laurel is very capable of that so, I won't be surprised if she goes through with that deal.

All in all, I loved this episode! Maybe my favorite this season! So much changed and yeah, really liked it - for a one time thing, which I don't think is happening, and that's what I'm afraid of.

From the preview for next episode (which is in two weeks) it looks like they were going to keep this 'mixed Team' and I don't know how I feel about that. Mainly because I don't like Mia and she's a big part of the FTA. Luckily there's a bunch of other characters that I love so, I hope it will be fine.

Anyway, I guess we'll see.

Arrow | Season 8 Episode 1 - "Starling City"

Hello guys!

Arrow is back for it's final season and, just like with Supernatural, it's a bittersweet feeling. I'm super stoked with this season (and after this episode I am even more) but it's the last one and I've been reviewing the series since season 4 (since I started following it properly) - that is a long time and seeing everything end always makes you a little sad.

But before it ends we have 10 episodes, starting with this one so let's get into it!

This season is all about the Crisis that is going to happen on episode 8 (at least, for Arrow is episode 8) and there's no real villain this season, which is a huge change! Personally, so far, I think it's turning out great! Also, alongside with that, this season is also a love letter to the fans and just a walk through memory lane with references to previous season and the come back of a lot of characters. This particular episode is all about Season 1 and we see come back not only Moira and Malcolm (as we see in the picture) but also Tommy, who has been in previous seasons, but just as an illusion inside Oliver's mind, and, my personal favorite, Adrian Chase is also back in this episode, with a great entrance, to be honest!

It took me a little to understand where all this fits in and what really was happening but turns out Oliver went to Earth-2 to get something that The Monitor wanted in regards to the Crisis - something that was only on Earth-2. The thing is, Oliver ends up in Lian-Yu and he has to do the same trajectory he did in Season 1, where he is found and goes back home basically to the same moment that was in the first season. The thing is, some things are different - Moira and Malcolm are married, Thea is dead and Adrian Chase is the Hood (aka Green Arrow). Also, Adrian is working with Laurel (aka Black Siren) who knows right away that this is Oliver from another Earth and, just like in Season 1, there's a Dark Archer but this time it isn't Malcolm, it is Tommy. The fight between Oliver and Tommy is pretty great as well as all the other fights in this episode, as they always are to be honest. 

There was not much to it, to be completely fair, but this whole memory lane thing was so great and I truly loved it.

Unfortunately they had to mess it up with flash-forwards which were completely useless and I really believe they could've cut them of and just focus on the 'present day' and everything to do with the Crisis.

Anyway, this are my thoughts on Arrow's last season premiere. Let me know what you thought of it and I'll be back soon with The Flash's rant (which kind of ties to Arrow, as all this series do this season).

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 19 - "Spartan"

As promised, here I am with the most recent Arrow episode!

Thank god there was this episode after the last one because this one was so much better! Still, it wasn't an amazing episode but it sure was a lot more interesting and surprising!

This episode focus a lot on Diggle and his family (as you can kind of guess by the title of the episode) and we learn so much that we didn't know before.

It starts right away with some revealing. In order to get some help on finding out what the Ninth Circle is after, Oliver and Diggle go to the Defense Department and that's when we meet General Roy Stewart, who we then find out is Diggle's stepfather. General Stewart can't really give them any information so they leave empty handed. And to make things worst, the next thing that happens is that the Ninth Circle gets into Smoak Tech and is able to steal Archer, which then leads Stewart to reveal that the drive contains an asset list that the Ninth Circle can now track, thanks to Archer.

Team Arrow and Stewart then go to secure the assets, which ends up with Dante capturing Diggle and Stewart. Turns out, they have always been after Stewart because of some codes that the Ninth Circle needs, which the General gives away when they start torturing Diggle. Luckily, they are able to get free, call in Team Arrow and get away. 

The next thing they do is try to track the Ninth Circle through Archer when they go online to find the weapon that they need, and then, go after them.

While the rest destroy Archer, Oliver confronts Emiko, telling her Dante had her mother killed. At first, it seems like Emiko doesn't really care, because she then leaves with Dante and the weapon that they went after but then, in the end of the episode, we see Emiko confront Dante and kill him, which was really a surprise to me. At first, I was really afraid they would make the same old story-line where she then turns good, so I was hoping she knew that all along, but I guess this way is also nice, with her getting her revenge but still remaining bad. And so, it looks like Emiko is the bad guy this season (wow, we've changed bad guys so much this season).

In the flash-forwards, Mia and Connor obtain a power module for the tech helmet from the Deathstroke gang, who we learn is led by none other than JJ (Diggle's son). This was a revelation! We have been wondering what happened to Diggle's son and we finally know it and I think some people guessed it - he turned bad, which was nice in my opinion. We still didn't get to actually see him so, I'm looking forward to that. 

The episode ends with Felicity (from the flash-forwards) powering up the helmet and learning that Galaxy One has expanded Archer.

Like I said, this episode gave us a lot more new information which is nice, considering that we are almost in the end of the season.

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 18 - "Lost Canary"

Hello everyone!

Here I am, finally, with the Arrow rants (a new one is coming right after this one). I'm not going to waste any time and jump right into my thoughts.

This was an highly anticipated episode and... It kind of fell flat. It started out pretty great with a really nice fight/shot sequence with Black Siren but then... it became kind of boring and yeah, the girls together fighting was pretty cool but that was about it. Plus, they mixed Oliver in this episode with a pretty sh*tty 'story-line' as well as integrated some flash-forwards that didn't really do anything to the story so... This wasn't what we thought it would be. But, for the sake of this rant, I'm going to break it down (but don't expect a lot of commentary, since I already said all that I had to say).

Like I said, this episode begins with Black Siren going rogue again and going looking for a former associate called Shadow Thief.

Meanwhile, Felicity discovers that Emiko framed Laurel, but Dinah informs her that Laurel has gone back to committing crime. Still, Felicity tries to talk Laurel out of it but with no success and that's what makes her call Sara, to help them bring back the 'good' Laurel. The three confront Laurel about what she wants to be and, somehow, something changes inside her head and she turns on Shadow Thief. Of course they win and, post al the fighting, Dinah clears Laurel's reputation by claiming she went undercover. But, although she could go back to her former work, Laurel decides to return to Earth-2 and right her wrongs as Black Canary. And that was it for the 'Birds of Prey' part of the episode.

But, like I said, this episode also tried to fit Oliver and Diggle for some odd reason and they go after some lead about Emiko and find out that Kodiak of the Longbow Hunters was hired by Dante to kill Emiko's mother.

And then, in the flash-forwards, Galaxy One uses a special tech helmet to target the Canary Network and, while the others want to hide, Mia wants to fight back, being the stubborn kid that she is. In the end, Laurel saves Mia from the man in the helmet and tells her to give the helmet to Felicity.

As I said before, this last two parts of the episode really didn't need to be there and maybe the episode would've been so much better if it just focused on the 'Birds of Prey'. I did like the fight scenes and all the bits that had Sara (just to think that I used to hate Sara) but, apart from that, this episode was really empty and... I was expecting more.

Let's hope the next one is better so, keep an eye for that rant!

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 16 - "Star City 2040"

Hello everyone and here is a brand new week of rants!

It seems like this has been happening a lot lately but, once again, I missed half of last night's episode of Arrow and I had to re-watch it again today. Not that it is a big problem but it just leaves me a bit sad because I like to live tweet during the whole episode. I still live tweeted though, but not in the first half. But anyway, I'm going to stop rambling and really talk about the episode.

Finally it aired! I believe I can say that this was an episode that a lot of people was curious about. Not only because this was just flash-forwards and that is already something pretty unique but also because this was the one that would make us understand everything that we have been seeing (from the flashbacks) and... I have mixed feelings. Overall, the episode was okay and I wasn't that bothered about it being all in the future but, you already know by now but I just don't like Mia. Maybe it's because it's Kat who's playing her and you know that I don't think Kat is a great actress but I believe it is also the actual character of Mia. I prefer William so much! You have no idea! Also, this was an whole episode without Oliver and... I don't know how I feel about that.

Anyway, the episode beginning with a little bit of a background on Mia - we see her training since she was very young and we even see her training with Nyssa (as you can see in the banner) which was a nice touch to the episode. We also see how and why she gets so bitter towards Felicity and that's when we get to what was happening in the flash-forwards, with Mia and William following Felicity's coordinates to Galaxy One. The two are almost caught, but are saved by Connor, who reveals himself as an agent from Knightwatch - the good version of ARGUS, as he says.

Meanwhile, we see Roy, Dinah and Zoe trying to find William and Mia and then being confronted by Rene who tells them the plans of Galaxy One about blowing up Star City. 

Back at the headquarters of Galaxy One, Mia, William and Connor enter the building's sub-levels, where they find and imprisoned Felicity, who tells them that the bombs are in the building. They free Felicity and go after the bombs. That's when the whole group reunites, with Roy, Dinah and Zoe and that was one of my favorite scenes. Felicity and Dinah are my favorites so I just loved to see them hug and be friends, which we don't really see in the present day, to be honest. After that, they are also met with Rene who tells them that the bombs are already on-site and that there are no plans to evacuate the city. 

The group then infiltrates a party, where Mia destroys an electronic device held by Kevin Dale, the head of Galaxy One, that disables the bombs. This was one of the scenes that was really bittersweet for me. I loved the bond between Felicity and William and the fact that William is also nerdy, and I also loved the fight scene, I just wish it was Oliver instead of Mia, not only because I don't like Mia but also because that would mean that Oliver is alive (which, to be honest, I doubt).

After that, Dale comes up with a new plan to create fear that would enable Galaxy One to take the Archer program global and, after that, we find out Felicity's personal reason for going after Galaxy One - she created Archer. And that's how the episode ended.

In the end, I feel like I had too much faith on this episode. I was hoping that this would make a lot of stuff clearer and it didn't really do that. Plus, it made me hate Mia even more. I don't know... I'm really torn.

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 15 - "Training Day"

Hello guys!

This week's Arrow rant is a bittersweet one. First of all, I wasn't able to live-tweet during the episode because the hour changed in the US and, as you all know, I'm from Portugal and here the hour will only change in the end of the month, which means I was one hour late for the episode and, therefore, I missed it. And second, this past week we got some heartbreaking news - Season 8 of Arrow will be the last one, and with only 10 episodes (basically ending with the crossover). I can't say I wasn't expecting this, because I kind of was but, you know... I always had hope that the show would go on for a long time (maybe not as much as Supernatural, though) and what made me even more sad is the fact that I can see where they're taking this. With what happened in the last crossover and with the talks about the next one it really looks like they are going to kill Oliver in the end and... It really pains me. I started this blog with three series - The Vampire Diaries, Arrow and American Horror Story - and having two of those series ending... Really breaks my heart (plus, there's rumors that AHS is ending with season 10 so... it means all the series that started this blog, and that are my favorites, are going to be all gone in a couple of years). But, because not everything is bad, I have to say that I really enjoyed this episode. To me, this felt like a turning point in the story (which, in a way, is bad, since we're already in episode 15 and just now things are moving forward).

I feel like I really enjoyed the first part of this season, up until Oliver left prison and, until now, there were really few episodes that really stuck with me. Luckily, this episode was pretty good and I'm liking where this is going. As I said, this felt like a turning point where we ended some story-lines, made sense of others and I just liked the feel of everything overall (it's a bummer I didn't get to live-tweet, really).

One of my favorite things in this episode was the whole thing with the SCPD. In fact, that was the main thing in this episode and I think they made everything look coherent and end nicely. I loved Oliver's attitude in the beginning with really trying to work with the police and when he changed, it made sense. He worked with them, it didn't work and he realized he had to do things his way (or Team Arrow way). But, because there's the whole thing with the anti-vigilante law, they worked out a way to appeal to both parts, a bit of Team Arrow and a bit of SCPD, which was great and I loved the way it ended. To be honest, I don't know why they didn't think of that right away but I guess the Mayor is just really stubborn (I guess she changed her mind though, now). 

Something else that I liked, and that I mentioned in the beginning, the episode also tied some loose ends. We understood a bit of how Diggle adopted Connor Hawk (Turner's son), we didn't stay long on the whole thing 'who killed Diaz' and we know that it was Emiko and, surprisingly, I really liked the confrontation between Emiko and Black Siren. I never really trusted Emiko so... We are now seeing her true colors. Now I just wonder why the hell did she kill Diaz?! Does that have something to do with Dante? Did Dante order her to kill him? And, as much as it pains me to say, I'm actually enjoying Black Siren's 'redemption' story. The truth is, everything is making sense in her story and, even though I still stand by the fact that it made Laurel's death a bit pointless, Black Siren's redemption arc has been well developed and I'm liking that.

I also liked the fact that there wasn't much of flash-forwards and that, the little that was, it wasn't too overwhelming and, once again, it made sense. I guess kudos to Emilio Ortega Aldrich and Rebecca Rosenberg because they did an amazing job with the writing of this episode.

Well, I don't think there's much more for me to say. Next episode is going to be the one all about the flash-forwards so, I hope we get a lot of questions answered.

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 13 - "Star City Slayer"

Hello everyone!

As per usual, I'm late with this rant but let's move on and talk about Arrow!

First of all, no, I didn't get that banner wrong. We had a bit of a The Flash crossover in this episode (just that one bit, to be honest) and that's why I used that pic for the banner. Second, I'm not super thrilled about this week's episode. In fact, I'm pretty pissed and, for the first time like ever I really hated an Arrow episode. It was actually fine until the very end of it but the ending really screwed everything for me. But anyway, let's talk about how everything went down.

The episode actually begins with the members of Team Arrow receiving threatening notes and also discovering a similar note at the murder scene of a councilman who previously worked with Ricardo Diaz.

They discovered some type of immobilizing drug in this dead councilman and that's where they started looking for who the murder was. They end up discovering the hiding place of this murderer - the Star City Slayer - and, surprise surprise, it's Stanley! I have to say, I enjoyed this but, at the same time, I wish he would've been a bigger villain or even this season's villain (which we still don't have). From the preview for next episode, and how this one ended, Stanley might still come into place in all this mess but, for now, he's not the main villain.

Anyway, Stanley ends up cutting Dinah's throat but Curtis is able to cauterize the wound and so saving her life.

Post that, Stanley goes to his main target - Oliver. He goes to Oliver and Felicity's house, where they were having dinner with William (Oliver's famous chili) and immobilizes them with the same drug that he used in his other victims. He starts some bullshit speech about how much he cares about Oliver and on how he's the only one that really understands Oliver and... You really see that he has some type of mental problem. He also tells some things about his past and, to be quite honest, I kind of felt for him. I mean, he's a total psycho, but he doesn't really belong in prison but really in an asylum, like his brother said he wanted to put him in. Stanley actually mentioned Arkham Asylum and that was a nice reference.

Well, in the end, Oliver is able to subdue him and Stanley is sent back to Slabside (that's why I still think he might come back). 

Throughout all this episode there was also a thing about William and him wanting a normal life. Yes, he was being a brat and actually Oliver called him out on that, which I really enjoyed but, in the end, Oliver realized that he can't ever give him a normal life so William goes to live with his grandparents (in Central City, by the way, which I thought was funny).

Besides William, someone else also left the city - Curtis. We kind of already knew that something was up with Curtis because he wasn't part of the tattoo thing and now we understood what happened. He got offered a job in DC and he took it, not liking what he was doing at ARGUS anymore. I'm sad to see Curtis go because I liked his character but at least he's not dead and he can always come back.

And, when someone leaves a new one comes so... In the very end of the episode we learn that Felicity is pregnant! Actually, I was thrilled about this! Who doesn't want an Oliver and Felicity baby?! I got really excited! Until I found out who's their daughter... freaking Blackstar aka Mia Smoak.

I was so pissed about that! In case you didn't know, I really didn't want Kat on Arrow. After seeing her on Shadowhunters you know how I feel about her acting so I really didn't want her in one of my favorite shows, but then I was okay with it because she was only part of the flash forwards and she was barely in the show so... It was fine. But now?! Finding out she's Felicity and Oliver's daughter?! It really pissed me off! I'm sorry to everyone who likes her, I like Kat as well, but I just think she's a bad actress and Mia as a character is also awful! Ugh, I'm going to stop now because I'm making myself really angry.

So, let me know what you thought about all this reveals and please tell me I'm not the only one feeling like this towards Mia and Kat and everything.

We're going to have to wait until March for a new episode so, I'll see you in my next The Flash rant!

Arrow | Season 7 Episode 12 - "Emerald Archer"

Hello guys and welcome to a new week of rants!

We're starting in a good note with such an amazing episode of Arrow!

This episode was special for a lot of reasons! Not only it was pretty amazing, but it also was episode 150 of the show, which is a big landmark (and we are getting a few more episodes because CW just announced that Arrow was renewed for Season 8, which is amazing!). Because this was episode 150, they wanted it to feel different so this episode was in a documentary style, which was pretty dope! The episode wasn't actually all documentary style, which I thought it would be, but to be honest, I wish it would've been because I think it would make it even more interesting. Nonetheless, it was a pretty different and special episode with a lot to be happy about, one of them being the special appearances!

We had so many special guests in this episode! Because this was a documentary about Vigilantes, they talked with basically everyone that is related to Oliver so, not only Felicity, Diggle, Dinah and all the people that we have been seeing in the past seasons but also characters that have left quite some time ago such as Sara Lance, Thea and even Ragman, which we haven't seen in a long time! My favorite special appearance though was Barry (The Flash)! You know that I'm a sucker for Oliver and Barry together and, even though we didn't have them together in this episode, it was nice to have Barry be part of the Arrow (where he actually first appeared) as well as part of Oliver's documentary. This also made us see how different The Flash and Arrow are as shows, which I always appreciate.

William was also back for this episode and we are getting close to make sense of all the things that are happening in the Flash-Forwards. We see that William have been rebelling and that, actually, he was expelled from school (for what we don't know yet) and we also had a pretty interesting scene with William and Zoe, something that we haven't really seen before (just in flash-forwards) and where he kind of hints that he's gay.

Something that I really enjoyed about this episode were the Diggle and Oliver scenes. The truth is, they haven't been together much lately and they actually talk about that in the episode, where Diggle says that it's been basically a year since they've worked together. But this episode changed that and not only we saw Oliver and Diggle working together, but we also saw Team Arrow working all together, including Felicity, Rene and Curtis!

Obviously, because this wasn't just a documentary episode, we also had a bad guy that is going after vigilantes and that Team Arrow had to deal with. 

Oh, I would also like to mention that I really liked Dinah in this episode! You know that I love Dinah but in the beginning of the season she wasn't really the Dinah that I liked but in this episode she got back to her old self and I really loved her during all this episode! And mainly in the ending when, after Team Arrow is caught (because vigilantism is still illegal) she basically says she will no longer be Captain if her friends go to prison (and Oliver basically does the same). That's when the Mayor tells them that, without them, she would've been dead so she's promoting all of them to work in the SCPD and yeah, that's basically it.

I really really liked this episode! Most of the time the episodes are just 'okay' but this one was really good and I'm so happy about that! Let me know your thoughts on this 150th episode and I'll see you tomorrow with a new The Flash rant!

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 9 & 10 - "Familia Ante Omnia" & "Erchomai"

Hello people!

Here it is, finally, the midseason rant of Shadowhunters.

As you might know, this was a two hour finale which means this rant will cover both episodes 9 and 10. This might end up a bit confusing since I saw both episodes in a row and I can't quite remember what happened in first one so, if I focus a lot more on the second episode, I'm sorry, but it was the one that stood out to me the most.

I'm going to try and talk first about episode 9 but I don't promise anything. So, the first episode basically showed everyone dealing with different things at the same time.

I might say that the story that I liked the most, and the one that I felt for the most was Simon. Obviously Heidi had to came back to mess things up and screw with Simon. It was really painful to see Simon go through all those things and then bite his own sister, as well as his mum wanting to kill him because Simon just isn't like that so I really felt for him.

Of course the other thing that was major in episode 9 was Valentine. We see Clary almost getting killed by the Clave but then working out a plan. She resurects Valentine in order to know why Lilith wanted his body and that's how she finds out everything about Jonathan. I was quite happy that Valentine was killed (again) in the end because we can't just go back to old storylines. That doesn't work for me. At least, not this way. Supernatural does it quite well, to be honest, but I don't trust Shadowhunters to do that so, just stick to the books, please.

Oh, and I have to mention Magnus and his quest to try and save Jace which continues on episode 10.

I'm going to take this and move to episode 10 right away.

I have to say that episode 9 was good and episode 10 was so much better! It wasn't surprising, I don't think they wanted that since they titled the episode "Erchomai" but it was well done and it had a solid storyline.

Since we were on Magnus topic, in episode 10 he goes to Edom to talk to his father, Asmodeus, and ask for help. This was the first time seeing Magnus dad so it was interesting.

At the same time, basically everyone was dealing with Lilith and Jace.

Before the final battles, I might add, we had some pretty cute Sizzy moments and I hope they develop them in the second part of the season because, truth be told, I'm just tired to wait for Sizzy to happen.

Izzy helps Simon with the issues with his mum and this gets even worse that in the last episode when Simon compels his mum to just forget him and believe that he died, which was so sad.

Unfortunatelly, he couldn't be sad that long because they had to deal with Lilith and since he's the only one that can send her back to Edom, he has to be there. Plus, when he finds out that Lilith has Clary he just agrees right away.

Izzy, Alec, Simon and Luke work on a plan to get inside the building where Lilith is but without hurting anyone nor Jace, since Simon's mark can kill basically everyone without him doing anything.

Their plan is actually pretty good - Alec vs Jace, Izzy and Luke vs all the 'demons' and Simon rescuing Clary.

I might say that the most nerve wrecking part was Alec vs Jace because, although Magnus appears just in time to bring the old Jace back, Jace as the Owl had already stabbed Alec and Magnus couldn't do anything because he trade his magic in order for his father to help bring Jace back. So, we are left with Alec dead. I would say that this death isn't premanent but... You never know.

As far as all the other 'fights', Izzy and Luke were quite good but they weren't the major thing and then Simon and Clary. Obviously we knew that Jonathan was going to be back and that Lilith was going away so... That's what happened. Lilith basically linked Jonathan to Clary so, as long as Clary lives, Jonathan lives too, which I'm quite happy, to be honest. But Simon ends up using his mark on Lilith and she's sent back to Edom (I think) and we see Jonathan grabbing Clary's wrist in the end, before the explosion that Simon's mark created.

Then, when Jace arrives at the top of the building, neither Clary nor Jonathan are there so... 

Simon says that she died but do you truly believe that?! Because I don't so, let's see what they do in the second part of the season.

Overall, I liked this ending. Not major nor surprising but it was good and, obviously, I'm so stoked to see Jonathan again! Can't wait for that!

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 8 - "A Heart of Darkness"

Hello people!

As promised, here I am with the most recent Shadowhunters rant, finally!

I have to say that I'm quite happy with this episode. This was an episode that didn't have Clary that much and I guess that was the main reason why I liked it so much... You know, Clary is one of the most annoying characters ever but, unfortunatelly, she's the main character so you don't get an episode without her that much so this one was good because of that! And, not to jump too ahead but it ended with something that we have been 'waiting'/feeling for so long (at least, I know I did) - Death to Clary! Ok, I might be exagerating and I do know that they aren't going to kill her but still... It was kind of funny.

Anyway, steping back a little bit, the Clary storyline has this outcome because she is questioned by Jia Penhallow and she ends up telling everything about Jace and about the angel wish that she made (everything mainly because of the Soul Sword). That was basically it for Clary so let's move to Simon and Maia.

After Luke's request, Simon, Maia and Jordan go to the place where Lilith was to try and find some clues about her and what she has been doing. They actually end up finding that place with blood and, underneath it, some sort of cacoon which we know is keeping Jonathan/Sebastian. That also ends up in kind of a fight between Maia and Jordan, with Maia basically saying that she still feels something for Jordan. In the end of the episode, Maia decides to leave for a bit. (This was the person that I saw was leaving. Turns out she isn't exactly leaving the show, just town, I guess).

Still about Simon but also to do with Lilith - the later finds out that Simon has the Mark of Caim (as well as we find that out). We also learn that it is the only thing that can banish Lilith from earth and back to Edom so, this basically means that Simon is the only one that can 'kill her', which is something knew.

Because of that Lilith goes to the seelie realm and ends up killing most of the people there. Then, in order to save her own life, the Seelie Queen ends up telling Lilith where the Owl (aka Jace) is, which brings us the leads us to the last storyline of the episode.

With Magnus' help, Izzy and Alec go into Jace's mind in order to bring him back. When they find him, Alec see's that he has been forced to kill Clary repeatedly and has even tried to kill himself. Then, Jace begs for them to kill him but, of course, they don't and they promise that they will get him out. Just as this was about to happen Lilith appears, threatens Magnus and then leaves with Jace.

I have no idea what she's going to do with Jace, I just know that the next episode is the two hour mid-season finale and that means one thing - Sebastian is back! I just can't wait to have my cute little demon back!

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 6 - "A Window Into an Empty Room"

Hello everyone!

It's finally here! That's right, I'm finally doing the Shadowhunters rants that I owe you! But, like I said in my previous rant, I might not be able to do all three so, just be aware.

Anyway, I'm actually happy with this episode. Not that the characters were great, they were fine but not the best that they have been, but because they finally did something that I've been wanting since the beginning of the season - get rid of some characters that weren't important at all!

So, the episode actually begins with kind of a fight between Magnus and Alec about that box, again. Personally, I thought they were fine about that but I guess they weren't, and that was a major thing for the rest of the episode. Not that they have made it a big part of it, but it made all the other evenst possible, like all the hang out with Maryse. Yes, Maryse is back for this episode and she's basically the one that makes everything in this episode possible.

It's because of her that her, Alec, Izzy and Jace go out and Magnus and Clary start working on something else. 

After Jace is 'back' from the City of Bones (which he wasn't really) Clary notices something odd about him so she goes to Magnus for help. She tells him about everything that happened with the angel and the demon that appeared and then about Jace, to which Magnus sends a message to someone he knows to help them. They agree to meet and that's when they find about everything. They find out from brother Zacariah that Jace has never been in the City of Bones and Magnus puts all the pieces together and remembers that odd woman that went to him for the love spell, and that's when they realize that she must be the demon that killed the angel and that is controlling the Owl. They also predict that something is wrong with Jace so they go after him. That's when they find the Owl attacking the police woman (I think her name is Ollie, I can't really remember) and the Owl aka Jace is able to 'kill' her and that's when Jace, Luke and Magnus find out that Jace is actually the Owl.

At the same time all of this is happening, the vampire that Simon 'created' comes back to cause some trouble. Luckily, Simon takes care of it and, in the end, she is sent away for 'rehab'.

All this means that we are really going to focus on the main issues now so I think the episodes are going to be good from now on.

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 5 - "Stronger Than Heaven"

Hello people!

A little later than what I expected but here it is, just as promised, the new Shadowhunters rant.

I don't know if that's because I already have so low expectations about the show but this episode was surprisingly good! That's right, I said good. It wasn't like the best episode I've ever watched but, unlike in the previous ones, this had a good storyline, with not many things going on, but still with three different things happening and just really good character development which is something that I quite enjoy.

So, like I said, this episode focused mainly on three things (four if you count the Izzy mini storyline). I'm going to start with the easiest, which was Malec. Nonetheless, it was great and, as always, some of the best parts of the episodes. In this episode they just dealt with some jelousy and the fact that Magnus has some type of box with stuff from his previous relationships as well as he doesn't want to rush things up and move on with Alec, which was what Alec wanted. I gues there's going to be more problems with those two, since that's what happens in the books but, for now, they are 'good'. Not great because in the end of the episode we see Alec still down about the whole thing so that's kind of a hint that more stuff is about to happen but, since we're already on episode 5, I don't know if they're going to focus a lot on that. I mean, the truth is, Malec has been a big part of this season and they have been huge in every single episode so, I might be wrong. Who knows?

Anyway, the second main storyline in this episode was the whole Simon thing. Jace goes to him for some odd reason and they find out that Kyle isn't who he said he was and that he's in fact a wolf, which we already knew, but not just a random wolf. A wolf that protects others or something like that. They didn't explain it that well but I guess it's pretty simple. Of course Simon is mad about that, with reason but in the end of the episode he takes Kyle's apology and they are kind of fine. I'm still pretty confused about Kyle because I actually thought he was Maia's ex-boyfriend, even though I'm pretty sure she said his name was Jordan. I don't, I'm really confused. If you know anything about this or have any predictions just let me know, please.

And lastly, the main story of this episode was Clary trying to talk to Ithuriel. In order to do that, she goes to Luke asking to talk with his sister Cleophas and, in doing so, she tells Luke about everything that happened to Jace. It was about time she told someone, right? Anyway, they go to Cleophas but she says that she can't really talk to the angels since what happened with Valentine. But Cleophas thinks Clary can talk to Ithuriel since she has his blood in her veins so they do some type of ritual or something and Clary is, in fact, able to talk to him. The angel tells her that Jace isn't like that because of what she did but, because of that, he's vulnerable to a lot of things. Clary thinks right away about the Owl and that's when Ithuriel says that the Owl has a master and, as he's about to say it's name, Lilith kills the angel and takes a scratch of Clary's soul in order to put it in a anti-love spell to give Jace.

In the end, Lilith give it to Jace and that's it. Jace no longer loves Clary. 

Like I said, overall, this episode looked good. It was interesting and it kept the story going without mixing too many things, which is what I've complaint in the past episodes.

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 4 - "Thy Soul Instructed"

Hello everyone!

Just as promised here I am with the Shadowhunters rant.

Well, you might have already guessed what I'm about to say - yes, this wasn't a great episode.

I know I keep saying the same damn things but, the truth is, they keep getting it wrong. Just like in the last episode, this one had too much going on and some stuff weren't really that well explained. This time, I gotta say, the only thing that I kind of liked was Kyle who, I don't know if I'm wrong but isn't him Maia's ex-boyfriend? I don't know, I'm a bit confused. Let me know what you know about that.

Well, overall, I feel like all the characters have been really bad this season, apart from Alec and Magnus. I feel like Maled is the best thing in Shadowhunters right now. Not only their relationship is so beautiful and pure but also Matt and Harry's is the best of all the cast. I might also say that I've been liking Luke, athough he's not really that major right now. But I feel like he does what his character is supposed to do and, from the ending of this episode, is seems like something major is happening/going to happen between him, Kyle and Simon so, let's see where this goes.

I would also say that Dominic has also been doing a great job with this Jace, I'm just not a fan of how everything is going with his character and the storyline. Like I said in my previous rant, I feel like they're going too fast with this storyline and, once again, I know that they have to move on with the story because in episode 10 Sebastian/Jonathan is reborn but... They could spend more time devolopping the storyline, instead of filling the episodes with other not so important and not well written stories like, for example, Raphael's story.

Raphael's story was the worst thing in this episode! Besides it being like completely out of nowhere, they didn't explain it at all! I was so lost when that girl was talking about what he did to her because they never really explained or showed it. This was probably an editing mistake but it was an huge mistake and maybe that's the reason why, in the end, the girl just left and Izzy just told Raphael to go away.

Oh, talking about Isabelle... I'm also really disappointe with her character. Not that it's Emeraude's fault, it isn't! She's an amazing actress but the way the writters are writting her character is just wrong! I didn't read the books but, from what I've seen people talking about, Izzy in the books is way cooler and more badass and this Izzy is just dull. Plus, where is Sizzy?! I have no idea where they come up in the book but everyone is waiting for it and I feel like the writters just don't want to give it to us so... Yeah, this writters are awful!

Well, I guess that's pretty much it. Simon is also one of those characters that I'm enjoying, alongside with Magnus and Alec and, I know I didn't mention Clary but don't even get me started! I feel like she was better on Season 2 but in this season she's back to being annoying... I'm sorry, that's just my opinion.

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 3 - "What Lies Beneath"

Hello everyone!

As I said, here I am with a new Shadowhunters rant.

Well, unfortunately, I can't say that this episode was as good as the last one, because it wasn't. I would say it was as good as the first one. Like I said in my first Season 3 review, I thought this episode had too many stories going on and, because all the lore that the show is already based on, it was  bit difficult to keep track of everything. Plust, there's some things from previous seasons that I don't remember anymore and just throw things and they should really just explain a bit more, in my opinion.

Anyway so, this episode keeps going with all the dreams that Jace have been having and he finally tells everything to Clary. To be honest, I thought they would drag this out a little longer but, truth is we only have 10 episodes with that storyline because, after that, Jonathan/Sebastian is back and so will Jace's dreams so I get it, I just thought it would last a little longer.

Then, Clary also tells Izzy about it and the fact that Jace thinks the Owl attacking people is in fact Jonathan which, in the end, they realize is isn't because Izzy got him in her wip and it didn't do anything to him (because of the electrum) and, jumping a little ahead, we then 'find out' that the Owl is Jace but... I don't know guys. I'm so confused about this. Last season's storyline seemed pretty simple compared to this one thought. Well, I like to me surprised so that's kind of good but, overall, I'm just really confused about this reveal so I'm going to be waiting for it to turn out into something else.

Besides this main storyline, there were some little ones in the episode, such as Simon and the mark that the Seelie Queen put in his forehead. He kept searching for and they found out it isn't a rune so then he tried to go to Raphael but Simon ended up attacking or, should I say, the thing in his forehead attacked Raphael so he just left. He then tried to go to the Seelie Queen but he found out that he was 'locked out' of the glade so... We didn't find much about it.

And then, the best part of the episode really, as usual, as the Malec parts of the episode. I've said this before but I'll say it again, Matthew Daddario has improved so much his acting! The bond between Alec and Magnus is so much stronger and they actually feel comfortable around eachother and that just makes their relationship more believable so I'm pretty happy how this is going for those two.

He had some big reveals in that dinner that, to be honest, I think were just to 'let us know' that Maryse won't be around for a bit but I might be wrong.

Well, I guess that's pretty much it for this episode.

That ending left me really confused but I'm so ready to have Jonathan/Sebastian back! I can't wait!

Shadowhunters | Season 3 Episode 2 - "The Powers That Be"

Hello guys and here it is the second rant of the day!

This time I have some good things for you.

That's right, this week's episode of Shadowhunters was way better than the previous one! Seriously, so much better! This episode focused a lot more on just a few storylines, which I pointed out that there were too many in the first episode, so this time the few stories made it better and overall the feel of this episode was pretty different than all the other seasons. I feel like this episode was a lot more light and funny. Shadowhunters should do this more often!

The episode focused mainly on Magnus and Alec, which I appreciated. Also, with that, I could see a lot of improvement from Matthew Daddario! Not that he was a bad actor, but in this episode he was really great and he deserves a round of applause for everything that he did in the episode. Magnus aka Harry was also amazing, but he always is so I thought I didn't need to point that out.

While there was this happening between Magnus and Alec, like all the things with Lorenzo, we also moved a little forward with the Lilith storyline. Not a lot, but this was nice, just a tiny bit, to keep us guessing. It's true that I wish we knew just a little bit more about her and her plans but that's fine, I'm ok with it.

We also saw some more of Clace, when they went out on a date that didn't go that well after they meet with Simon and Maia at the restaurant. This also brought up the fact that Jace and Maia slept with each other in the previous season, which was something that us fans have been wondering about for quite some time.

Truth be told, I don't know what else to say about this episode. I just know I really enjoyed it! That ending was quite something and it just made me love Malec even more! I hope we get to see them more often. Oh, and I was almost forgetting, Magnus also mention Asmodeus and the fact that he's his father, which was also something that I've seen some fans talk about.

Well, I guess that's pretty much it. I don't know what else to say so I'll leave it up to you.
