The Challenge: Double Agents | Season 36 Episode 01 - "License to Killer Kam"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everybody!
That's right, back again with a new The Challenge rant. Back with the actual first episode. And, I guess I was right. This episode had none of that drama stuff and all that get to know the people and all that, which was nice. Not a lot happened though, but it had it's moments.
The episode started right away with the challenge of the week, which was a pretty simple one - just a memory game that was played in two rounds (the girls round and the guys round). The challenge did have a physical part to it but it was pretty lame, to be honest. I just thought it was easier to just wait and see the colors 'peacefully' - there was no point in fighting for that damn thing. However, that did not work so well for Wes, cause he got hit in the face with a shoe because of that. But, it did give us a memorable moment, one that I just couldn't stop laughing, nor could all the other players, to be honest. It was really funny!
Anyway so, there were only two winners - a guy and a girl. For the guys it was Fessy (right away showing that he's not someone to mess with) and for the girls the win went to Aneesa, which was sort of a surprise, but it was nice. However, in the end, there was only one true winner and that person was Aneesa. That gave her an advantage - to pick her partner. That's right, so the first reveal of this episode was that the game will be played in duos, and because Aneesa won, she got to choose her male partner - she chose Fessy. He didn't want to be with her, but I guess it was a nice choice. And then, just like that, TJ tells everybody to pick their partners - right then and there. It threw everyone off and, to be honest, I'm not happy with this duos. Everyone that I sort of like is paired with someone that I don't like - Kyle/Nany, Natalie/Wes, CT/Ashley... so, I don't know how I feel about this whole thing, but I'm just going to roll with it, for now. There's actually some hope because of what we found out in the end of the episode but I'll get to that.
So, Aneesa and Fessy are safe and they're going to pick the team that's going to go into elimination against the team that the house chooses, and here we have a few more twists. 1) the vote is secret 2) although it's a duos game, they vote individually 3) later on the double agents (in this case, Aneesa and Fessy) get the information of who was vote by the house and, more important, who voted for the chosen team. This week the house voted for CT and Ashley, which was a pretty big deal, even more because basically the whole house voted for them, which was a shock. In a way, I kind of understood why they went with them - it's a different choice and it's taking out the big players instead of the rookies - but, at the same time, they were pretty dumb, mainly because Aneesa and Fessy chose Wes and Natalie to go against CT and Ashley. Just for then to find out that it was a girls elimination and neither CT nor Wes were actually going into elimination. It was just a dumb move to do something so ballsy without knowing all the rules. But the twists don't end here. So Ashley goes against Natalie, Natalie wins and then TJ lets her know that she now has a gold skull but also she's faced with a decision - now she can pick who she wants to be paired with, does she wants to still be with Wes, be paired with CT or she can pick any other guy (apart from Fessy, because he's safe). That was pretty huge and that was how the episode ended.
As I said, nothing really major happened but there were a lot of twists and turns. This thing that you can switch partners every time you go into elimination is super cool but now that leaves me with a question - what's going to happen to, in this case, the guy that is left without a partner? And what if Natalie picks someone else other then Wes or CT, what happens to that person's previous partner? I'm just really confused with this new rules but we'll see... We're going to find out all about that in the next episode so, I'm excited! Personally I think she's going to stick with Wes. She said that she likes to be paired with him and there's nothing to complain so far so... I'm predicting that she stays with Wes but who knows? Natalie looks like someone who's really unpredictable so... We'll see.
Let me know what you thought about all the things that happened in this episode and who do you think Natalie is going to pick and I'll see you next week with a new rant!
Love,
Daniela.
