Supergirl | Season 3 Episode 8 - "Crisis on Earth-X, Part 1"

Ok guys, prepare yourself, because I have a lot to talk about!

Hey everyone and welcome to the first part of the big DCTV crossover!

You have no idea how I excited I've been about this crossover! I mean, I'm always excited for this big crossovers so expect like tons of talking, starting out with a little critique.

This episode is supposed to be a Supergirl one, right? I know that, specially this crossover, isn't meant to have a proper series but there's still people that don't watch all four series so, to them, this is a Supergirl episode and, in my opinion, for a Supergirl episode, this had like basically no Supergirl characters, only Kara and Alex. Ok, we had James in the very beginning of the episode, but only that. I was expecting to see a lot more of Winn, Mon-El and J'onn. We still got to see them, that's right, but I wanted them to be part of the fighting and all and, mostly, I wanted to see two things - all the geek team (Felicity, Cisco and Winn) because Winn wasn't in the last big crossover, and I wanted to see Grant Gustin and Chris Wood act together. I know they did the Duet episode, but they barely interacted there, so I wanted more action. I think at least J'onn is still going to be part of the team but, I don't know.

Anyway so, I didn't see any previews before this so I had no idea what they were going to be up against. I supposed it was going to be something about something happen in Earth-X, since it is the name of the episode, and that's it. In that, I was right and, we find out that basically in Earth-X, a Nazi regime rule the planet where a Dark Arrow hunts the Americans loyalists.

They made like a 'big reveal' in the end of the episode about who was under the mask, both the Dark Arrow and the 'Dark Supergirl' but it was pretty obvious, right away, that it was Oliver and Kara. The only thing that I wasn't expecting, and I'm stepping a little ahead, was Harry being the Reverse Flash, that was surprising.

We also already knew that the episode was going to be about Barry and Iris' wedding and that was also what happened.

Actually, most of the episode was just getting ready for the wedding and all that stuff and it had quite some moments! I can't go deep in every one of them, but I have to mention some. First, Barry and Oliver's 'moment' while trying the suits was quite something! I always love to see them interact and, to be honest, they're the main reason why I watch/love this crossovers - I just love Oliver and Barry 'together'. I guess that's because they have such different personalities and that works so well! Seriously, I love it!

Then, I have to talk about the Sara and Alex thing. I just knew that was going to happen! I don't know... I just could see them getting along and since they're both lesbians (I mean, Sara is bi but yeah) I just had a feeling something was going to happen between them. And it was so funny!

And lastly, I have to talk about the 'not so good' Oliver proposal to Felicity. That made me sad! You know I'm an huge Olicity shipper and I even said in my last Arrow rant that I just wanted them to marry in this episode too so I really wanted Felicity to say yes. And, because of that, I feel like she's hidding something. I don't know what... Maybe she's married to someone else?! Is she married to Ray?! I mean, that's the only thing I can think about... Something tells me that we are going to find out soon so, let's see!

Oh, and just one last little thing - loved that Kara sang Barry's song! I mean, I would so much prefer Barry/Grant to sing it but still, I love that song and it was such a nice touch.

Of course then something had to happen and the Dark Arrow and Dark Supergirl invade Barry's wedding and they end up not marrying (which I kind of liked it, to be honest).

The Dark Arrow and 'his Team' have then to retreat after Supergirl injured Dark Supergirl and our team capturing Prometheus, which got me so excited! I really wanted this Prometheus to be Adrian/Josh Segarra but I kind of saw a spoiler earlier and I think it's Tommy so... That is kind of sad. Still, that was my theory last season so, does this count like I'm right?! 

And well, I guess that was it for this episode. This has barelly started to I expect really cool things in the next episodes!

The next one is going to be the Arrow one so I hope I get to see a few more Arrow characters like Diggle, Black Canary and Curtis. I mean, I've seen in the promo pictures that Dinah, Curtis and Rene are there so, I just want Diggle to be there too (although I don't think so).

The Flash | Season 3 Episode 22 - "Infantino Street"

This episode was just wow!

So, here I am with the last rant of the day and it is the pre-finale the flash episode!

Oh my god, where should I start?!

This episode had basically everything and, before you even think about it, no, I'm not that shocked or sad about Iris death in the end. Because 1) I'm not a huge fan of Iris 2) I think it would be a great ending to have her dead and 3) Seriously guys?! Do you reall think that she's dead for real?

I wasn't going to start with this but oh well, let's just jump right into the good stuff.

Seriously, do you really think they would kill off Iris?! I mean, like I said, I think it would be a great ending because, with this TV Shows they are always bringing characters back and such and it would be nice to have a character dead for good but really? I don't believe for a second that she's really dead and, if she really is, I'm going to be really surprised! Although, deep down, I'll enjoy that ending. Anyway, let's get back to the beginning of the episode.

As we already knew, there's only one thing that they can use in the "Speed Force Bazooka", and that's one piece of the Dominator's tech that is held on ARGUS. Deep down, he already know basically everything that was going to happen. They find about it, they ask Lyla, she says no, Barry goes back in time to get Snart and he helps Barry get it. And guess what?! That's exactly what happens.

What we didn't know was the part where they see King Shark and what woud they do?! 

Snart actually has a pretty good plan and everything goes smoothly until they actually steal the tech and the door begin to close, which leads to Barry running out but Snart getting stuck inside with King Shark. Luckily, Cisco manages to hack into the building (or whatever) and Snart is able to get out of there. But, of course, we couldn't leave it there, Lyla ends up finding them but, in the end, she just lets them go with the tech, which, in a way, I think it was just nonsense. I mean, this shows clearly that the writters just wanted Barry to go through all of that because, in the end, Lyla just ends up giving him that. She could've just give him that right in the beginning but now, we had to go through all of that.

Anyway, those were good scenes, but I just don't think that last part made much sense.

Back to STAR Labs, they get to build the Bazooka and then they come up with a plan, but without Barry knowing it. That's when Cisco vibes his battle with Caitlin/Killer Frost and he just goes there to fight her and try to get her 'back to normal'.

Meanwhile, that last part of the episode happens. The one that we've been seeing all this season.

Barry actually gets to use the Bazooka but it didn't work because Savitar was wielding the Philosopher's Stone. This leads to the very end where Savitar ends up 'really' killing Iris and leaving.

And the episode basically ends up with that, a sad song, and a video that Iris left on Barry's phone saying her wedding vows.

It was pretty sad/cute the ending but I still don't buy it.

Just a side note before I end this rant... I kind of missed Julian in this. I mean, he has been working with them as well and I think we haven't seen him a while so... I missed him.

Ok, that's it guys.

I wonder what is going to happen in the next and last episode because I though this was going to be what was going to happen in the last episode but I was wrong.

Also, we've seen some 'leak' photos of a funeral and some other stuff and, not only Iris was there, but there was a funeral, which means, someone is going to die.

I still think it's going to be HR and this episode had a lot of hints of that, with him saying that STAR Labs was his home and then, in the end, saying 'goodbye' to Cisco... I think he did something and that's how Iris doesn't die so... I don't know, let's see what happens.

Legends of Tomorrow | Season 2 Episode 7 - "Invasion!"

And here it is, the final rant of the DC Week Crossover!

I gotta say, this was so much fun! I loved the fact that we saw all of the characters (or almost all of them) interact and having like a 3 hour long episode was so good! Besides, I also really liked doing this, post every single day, it was pretty cool!

I probably wouldn't do it on a daily basis because I just a lot of uni work and I wouldn't be able to, but do this once in a while, it's pretty fun!

Anyway, let's get into the actual episode, the last part of the 4 episodes crossover.

So, since this is, afterall, a Legends episode, obviously we had to have a time travel. This time it was Nate, Mick, Amaya, Felicity and Cisco who went back in time, to Oregon, 1951, to the first Dominator invasion.

They get to capture one of the Dominators but then they end up being all captured by Federal agents.

While in costudy, they learn the reason why the Dominators where on Earth - because they were concerned about metahumans and that they where a threat to the humans.

One of my favourite scenes in this episode happens after this moment, when Felicity and Cisco, being the only ones not captured by the Federal agents, save the rest of the Team, Mick, Nate and Amaya, to what Mick says 'Saved by the Geeks', which I found pretty funny.

Meanwhile in Central City, 2016, the rest of the Team, Supergirl, Ray, Oliver, Firestorm, Diggle, Barry and Sara learn that the Dominators know about Barry's changes in the timeline and that they will give them peace if Barry surrenders to them.

Obviously, Barry is willing to do that, because he's Barry and, obviously, the Team doesn't let him. That's when Oliver gives one of his really inspirational speeches (which I always love, I might say) and Barry changes his mind and decides to join the Team and fight the Dominators. That's also in that moment that Barry and Cisco get their friendship back! That was also one of the higlights of the episode for me. I hated seeing Barry and Cisco like that, mostly the way Cisco was treating Barry, so I was very happy when Cisco said that Barry was his friend and that he wouldn't let him surrender. That was a beautiful scene.

And then, that's when the usual big fight scene happens, again, something that I always love too. Also, obviously, our team wins and the Dominators retreat.

In the very end of the episode we see like a party with everyone celebrating and being friends which I also really liked and that's in that moment when my third favourite scene happens. It was a pretty subtil line that probably not everyone will understand, and that's when Ray, Felicity and Kara are talking and then Kara leaves and Felicity says that it looks like she's looking into a mirror to what Ray says 'She looks a lot like my cousin.'. Get it? Because Brandon Routh once was Superman and Kara/Supergirl is Superman's cousin. I just found that pretty funny. The writes alwasy on point with this lines!

And yeah, in the very end Cisco gives a Kara a device to travel between universes, so she can always go there if she need help or anything (and I guess that's how they are going to do the Music episode, which I'm really excited about), and we see Oliver and Barry hanging out, which I, once again, always love.

Overall, this was an amazing crossover! Seriously, epic! I don't think anyone will ever top this crossover! And, although there was some episodes that I liked more than others, I get why they did what they did with each episode. Arrow one wasn't my favourite, like I said before, but I get it. It's the tone of the series and, besides, it was the 100th Episode, so I get it. (Also, I think that episode gives a clue to who Prometheus might be, but I'll share my theory on other rant).
