The Flash | Season 4 Episode 10 - "The Trial of The Flash"

Spoiler Alert!

Wow! What an amazing comeback!
Hello everyone and welcome back to a new The Flash rant!
This hiatus was a long wait but the show is finally back and with a bang!
We all knew what this episode was going to be about - like the title of the episode says, the trial of the flash. What we didn't know was how everything was going to work out and what was going to be the end result and, about that, I have to give huge props to the writers and everything because I really wasn't expecting!
We watch this type of shows and when stuff like this happen we always thing that everything is going to work out in the end but, this time, it didn't and Barry really went to prison.
I don't really know what else to say about the episode because it was pretty much Barry trying to show everyone that he's inocent but I'm going to try to follow the storyline.
First of all, I need to mention that Cecile is the one that is representing him, which is nice.
Then, if Barry's trial wasn't enough, of course there was a metahuman that was causing trouble in the city. The funny thing is, he wasn't even doing bad stuff. This meta was like a nuclear bomb or something and, in the beginning, he was just causing people to collapse. Of course they eventually find who this guy is and try to stop him.
Meanwhile, Singh reveals to Joe that he's appearing as a witness for the prosecution against Barry and is basically his testimony that makes Barry even more guilty.
And then, after that, Barry even has to leave his own trial to stop the radiation metahuman. He manages to do so with the help of Caitlin and Cisco and, even thought this is good news, after that he discovers that he was found guilty and is sentenced to life in prison, which was such a sad scene to watch. And the saddest part was the fact that, at the same time that he was plead guilty, Flash was being honored at the police station. The writters and the editing crew and everyone did an amazing job with this last scene because it really made me sad because Barry and The Flash are the same person and while one is convicted as a killer, the other one is being honored and this whole thing was just really hard to watch. Plus, all I could think about was the comparison to Oliver - Oliver really did kill some people and hasn't gone to crison (yet) and Barry, who have just been saving the people and is acknowledged as a superhero (The Flash) in the city, is going to prison... It's just amazing and sad.
Anyway, this gives a good storyline thought so I really can't wait to see how they are going to work things out and, most of all, understand why DeVoe is doing all of this because I really don't understand what his plan is.
Let me know what you thought of this comeback and I'll see you on Friday with new Arrow and Supernatural rants!
Love,
Daniela.
