The Flash | Season 3 Episode 2 - "Paradox"

Back with a new The Flash rant!
I'm sorry for being a little bit late with this rant but life happened and I just couldn't watch the episode neither live nor yesterday.
But I watched it today and yas!
I know last week my rant wasn't the best but this week's rant is a whole nother story!
This week's episode was so good that I don't even know what to start with.
Ok, I guess I should start with Felicity!
I think you all know by now that Felicity is one of my favourite characters of all time and I'm always happy to see her in Arrow, but in The Flash is a lot more special. I love when they 'share characters' so I loved the idea of Barry recurring to Felicity for help with the changes in the real world that he's now in. I also really liked the idea of us, audience, finding out everything through flashbacks while Barry is telling everything to Felicity. And, although it is kind of messed up, it is also really funny the fact that Diggle now has a son instead of a Daughter. I'm really curious to see how that's going to play on Arrow, but that's for another rant.
So, we basically find out that, besides Joe and Iris not speaking to each other that Cisco's brother, Dante, died and that Cisco is kind of pissed with Barry and that Barry has a new partner, Julian Albert, aka my love Tom Felton!
I gotta say, Tom Felton brought a whole new feeling to The Flash and I'm loving it! I was so excited to see his character and, although him and Barry aren't really friends nor really like each other, I'm loving having in on the series. To be honest, I think it makes me like his character even better and makes me love what he brings to the series even more! I'm really excited to see what's going to happen and, of course, how is he going to find out that Barry is The Flash because, c'mon, we all know that he's going to find out eventually.
Something else really nice about this episode was to see John Wesley Shipp as Jay Garrick from the other earth. We didn't do much really, but it was nice to see him, a little through back to the original Flash.
And, of course, we have to talk about the new villain who, at first, I thought it was going to be The Rival but it turns out, it's going to be this Alchemy guy who's going to be the main villain this season. (At least, that's my thought so far). And, to be quite honest, I'm way more into this guy than The Rival. I know Todd tweeted me and all but, I'm sorry, Alchemy seems way more challenging and a lot different from all the other villains we've seen so far so, I'm excited!
In the very end, Barry tells everyone about the changes that happened in this world and basically everything kind of works out in the end.
Basically the episode ends like that but not without leaving us with some clues for the next episodes. They find out that the Alchemy, who Cisco named Doctor Alchemy, is creating other 'metahumans' from Flashpoint, which means, we are going to see Kid Flash again soon. Also, it looked like everything was fine with Caitlin but, turns out, she's getting the Killer Frost powers so, that's going to be interesting to see as well.
And, obviously, I had to talk about the last seconds of the episode, which are always very exciting.
In this one, Alchemy attacks The Rival in his cell at Iron Heights, which means, he can get in everywhere he wants, which is kind of scarry.
So, that's basically it.
Overall, I loved this episode! It was everything that I thought the first one was going to be so, very pleased with this second episode.

American Horror Story: Roanoke | Season 6 Episode 4 - "Chapter 4"

Wow, three rants in one day! I swear it's the last one (for today).

Last night a new American Horror Story episode went live. Unfortunately, I couldn't watch it live but I watched it today and, not the best one, but surely the bloodiest one.

With this episode we got to find a lot more about the story of the ghosts in that land and, turns out, Lady Gaga's character really is one of the major ones.

The episode starts right with a band with the piggy man, which I quite enjoyed, to be honest. I love some creepy stuff and the piggy man is for sure the creepiest thing in this season, at least, so far.

We also find out that Dr. Cunningham is alive, but not for long, because we goes out into the woods with Matt and Shelby to find Flora, he ends up dead. Luckily, before he died, he showed them a lot of the stuff that he discovered through out the years and that helped us, viewers, to understand the story of the land and of the house a little bit better.

That's after Dr. Cunningham death that Matt and Shelby reencounter Cricket. He also tells them more about he found out and that's when we learn more about Lady Gaga's character. We also learn more about her through Matt, who has another 'meeting' with her.

In the very end of the episode another really creepy and bloody scene happens. Thomasyn and the rest of the colony disembowel Cricket and, let's just say, it's not the best thing to watch. I mean, in my opinion, it's super cool, but if you're creeped out by bloody stuff you might want to skip that part of the episode, which is the very end.

But, there's a good thing in all of this. Priscilla helps Flora and she manages to get back to Matt and Shelby so, it's not all bad.

And yeah guys, even though this episode wasn't the best one, it had some creepy cool scenes, some creepy scenes, which I really enjoy and which was the thing that made me start watching American Horror Story in the first place.

Unfortunately, there's still no sign of Evan Peters in this episode, which is sad because I kind of miss him. Him and Matt Bomer so, let's hope they're both in the next episode.

Arrow | Season 5 Episode 1 - "Legacy"

Omg you guys, Arrow is finally back! And with a freaking good episode!

I got to be honest with you, I wasn't really expecting much from this episode. First, because of all the 'Team Arrow' members 'leaving' and also because The Flash's episode wasn't really what I thought it would be, so my expectations for this episode were really low.

But, I was so wrong because this episode was so good!

First of all, I gotta say, for once, the flashbacks seem to actually be related to the season and, also for once, I'm really excited for them.

I've always liked the Bratva 'theme' in some of the episodes, so maybe that's one of the reasons why I'm so into this season's flashbacks, or maybe it's just because this time they are actually good, who knows?!

Also, although the team is kind of 'falling apart' or is already 'apart', I'm actually liking the idea of having a 'new team' and I'm liking this storyline, because, even without the Team together, they are still in the picture, so that's fine by me.

In this episode we got see something that I was really curious to see, Oliver as the mayor. Although in the beginning he was kind of away but his speeches are always so inspiring! I don't know it that's just me but I just love his speeches.

I also really liked to see Oliver and Felicity's interation because things in the end of last season were really weird between them so it's nice to see that they are ok with each other again and that she's still part of the Team.

And, of course, we have to talk about the big bad guy this season, who seems to be Tobias Church, although in the very last minutes of the episode we saw another archer, which seems to be up to no good so, I don't know which is going to be the main big bad. I'm way more curious about this 'dark archer' (which I secretly suspect he's Malcolm but I don't know) then with Tobias. Tobias isn't really that interesting to me, to be honest, and I don't even know what's his 'goal', why is he bad so... Kind of confused.

Someone else that I'm quite enjoying so far is Quentin. He never was that relevant but I liked him in this episode. All the talks with Oliver and such, also really inspirational and I love Paul Blackthorne so...

And, of course, Curtis! I swear to god, I love Curtis! I can't wait to see him as Mr. Terrific, really excited for that!

So, yeah... This episode was basically an introdution to new bad guys, as Tobias kidnaps Oliver and other 'important' people and then with the help of some police officers, as well as the 'usual' team (now Felicity and Quentin), get to rescue the hostages.

Oh, and I got to metion my least favourite part in this episode. I was so excited because, as the episode was ending I just thought to myself 'what a great episode!' but then, something happens. Felicity with another guy! As an hardcore Olicity shipper I hated it! Like seriously, really hated that part! Felicity can't be over Oliver already! I mean, who would be?!

Anyway, this are my thoughts about the episode. Overall, great! Aside from that last thing that I mentioned.

The Flash | Season 3 Episode 1 - "Flashpoint"

That's right guys, new series here on the blog!

Well, not really new because I once did a rant of The Flash last year, but it was just because there was a crossover episode between Arrow and The Flash, so I had to do it. But, this time, I'm really doing rants of The Flash, like every single episode. I liked the last season so much that I thought I have to do rants this year so here it is, the first one!

I got very lucky because I had the oportunity to watch it live, which I never could because The Flash airs on a Tuesday and I have classes really early on Wednesday and you know, timezones and all so, I never could... But, this time, I had Wednesday off so, obviously I took the time to watch it live. Unfortunatelly, my link wasn't really bad so I had to rewatch the episode, which isn't that bad, actually.

Anyway, so I have to say that I got a bit disappointed with this episode. Not that it was totally bad, it was quite good, but I just thought it was going to be better and greatter. They got through flashpoint so quickly... I thought they were going to make at least, about 5 episodes with Barry in the flashpoint universe but, instead, they just mentioned that he spent 3 months there and showed him there in this first episode and, by the end of the episode, he's back in his real timeline. The good part is that I think the next episodes are going to be really good, because although he's back to 'the real life', some things have changed. One of them being the relationship between Iris and Joe, and we don't know what else have changed so, it's going to be interesting to see the rest of the season play out.

I think I should also mention that we got a bit of Eobard Thawne in this episode, being him the only one that could actually take Barry back to his timeline. Also, in the flashpoint timeline, we got a glimpse of a new villain. 

At the beginning, I thought it was just a 'small' villan just for flashpoint but, turns out, that same villain, called The Rival, is also 'alive' in the real timeline. The only difference is that in the 'real world' he isn't a villain yet.

And yeah... I also gotta say that I didn't really like flashpoint's Cisco and I hope he isn't this way now on the 'real world'. And I'm also curious to know how Wally is gonna become Kid Flash in this new timeline, since in the flashpoint he was already Kid Flash.

To end this rant, obviously I have to talk about those last seconds of the episode, which are always really exciting. In this one we see that 'The Rival', who's real name is Edward Clariss, is confroted by a mysterious voice giving him the message 'Alchemy' (which I have no clue what it is).

And, that's basically it guys.

Overall, not the best episode but with a great ending which makes me so excited for future episodes! What also makes me really excited is Tom Felton who, sadly, wasn't in this episode yet. So, can't wait for that as well.

American Horror Story: Roanoke | Season 6 Episode 3 - "Chapter 3"

OMG you guys, this episode!

Ok, now I do really regret not watching this episode live last night because it was so good!

Seriously, if I thought last week's episode was better than the first one, this one was so much better!

I lot of things happened in this episode and we discovered that the story is actually about the roanoke colony but not really the story of the people that were part of the colony, but what those people done to the 'characters' in the series. And, the episode couldn't start better, with a death. Not Flora's, but Flora's dad, Lee's ex-husband.

After that, Shelby suspects of Lee, because she was caught by the security cameras but that's when the police get a lead and Shelby, Matt and Lee find out that the hillbilly family vanished, leaving two of their sons. The scene where they find the sons is really disturbing but, me being the weird person that I am, I found it quite cool, the two sons drinking the pigs 'milk'.

I think AHS have been lacking on 'disturbing' images and some more creepy stuff so it was nice to see that scene.

After that 'dead end', a psychic named Cricket appears in the house and does some witch stuff to talk to the spirits and that's when we find out that Flora is still alive and that's when we learn more about the Roanoke Colony.

I've already searched for the story of it, so must of the stuff that they talked about in the episode I already knew but there was some parts that I didn't know. I don't know if it was just something they made up for the series or if it really happened but turns out the colonists rebelled against Tomasyn, the first lady of the Roanoke Colony, in her husband's absense and left her for dead. Desperated, she gives her soul to a mysterious woman (Lady Gaga's character) and kills the guys that left her to die, taking over the colony, again, forcing them to relocate to what now is Shelby and Matt's home.

And, that's when other of the coolest/weirdest scenes happen. When they are trying to negociate having Flora back, Matt disappears and Shelby goes after him, finding him having sex with the same mysterious woman that Tomasyn sold her soul to.

The episode ends with Matt telling Shelby that he doesn't remember anything that happened and with the police arresting Lee, tipped off by Shelby.

So, as you can see, a pretty intense episode.

I quite liked it, to be honest. It had some pretty gross bits as well as being really intriguing, everything to be a great episode.

American Horror Story: Roanoke | Season 6 Episode 2 - "Chapter 2"

I know, too long without an update but have an excuse.

I've been out of the country and, when I got back, besided getting back to uni, I've been kind of sick (I still am, in fact). I didn't even saw the new episode yesterday live so, you can see how I'm feeling. But, now that you have an update about my personal life and a reason on why I didn't update, lets start with the proper rant.

I must say, I don't remember much from last episode, since it was a week ago, so I am going to have to see some of my notes but, one thing I do remember, this episode was way better than the previous one. 

I remember that this episode left me really curious about what's going to happen next, when the first one only left me really confused about the whole thing.

Something really cool about this episode was that it started right where the last one ended, which don't happen very often in American Horror Story. But, of course something really dumb have to happen as well. After what Shelby saw, she decided to stay in that house no matter what. Which latter she regrets, with all the things that happen next.

They call the cops and this time they stick around in case anything else happens and it happens but the cops didn't help a bit. Probably because everything that happened this time, happened inside the house, which left me really curious and excited, to be honest.

This season is starting to look a lot like Murder House and Murder House was one of my favourite seasons so, I'm excited to see where this season is going.

As things keep happening, Shelby and Matt discover a storm cellar under the back yard where they see a video of the man that was in last episode's video.

In this video, this man tells more about the story of the house and it turns out that the house used to be a nursing home where two sisters committed multiple murders. 

This is the moment where they realise they have to get out of that house but they just can't because all the money that they had is in that house.

As all of this is happening, Lee violates her custody agreement and brings her daughter to the house, who later encounters and entity named Priscilla who tells her that everyone in the house is going to be murdered. Lee's daughter, Flora, later disappers and the adults find her hoodie atop a massive pine tree.

And that's how the episode ends.

In my opinion, this episode made way more sense and if left me really curious to know more, and mostly, thinking that is a real story, it leaves me really curious!

American Horror Story: Roanoke | Season 6 Episode 1 - "Chapter 1"

Hello everyone! 

Finally, the blog is 'up' again, after a long long hiatus. And, just like last year, the first post is an 'American Horror Story' rant but, unlike the last time, this isn't a 'good start'.

That's right guys,my first opinion about American Horror Story's new season isn't the best.

First of all, I must say I didn't really like this new format, simulating a 'documentary'. Second, I found it a bit confusing and, since we didn't know the theme of this years season, I really didn't know what to expect from this, which could be a good thing, but ended up being the opposite.

But, about the actual story... 

I feel like this was just an introduction to the theme (which is still kind of confusing to me) and to the characters. Aparently, this is based on a true story, which makes it a bit more interesting, about Matt and Shelby, who are a couple that decide to move to North Carolina to escape some tragic events. Until now, nothing really creepy but, as you can expect, that's about to come.

The couple moves to an 'abandoned' house (which is already a sign of creepy stuff to come) and that's when the creepy things start to happen, mostly to Shelby. One of the 'coolest'/creepiest things where the teeth falling from the sky, which I quite enjoyed to be honest. Also, all the pig stuff was cool, but left me really confused about everything that was going on.

Really, from this episode, I couldn't find out what was going on in that town and in that house, leaving me really curious to know more and to see more episodes.

Anyway so, after those creepy events, Matt has to leave in a business trip so, in order to not leave Shealby alone, he asks his sister Lee to stay with her and that's when the experience the creepiest thing of them all.

Some creepy people invade the house wielding knives and torches, leaving behind creepy totems and a video of a man being killed by some type of creature who has a pig head. (I know, super creepy).

Shelby wants to leave the house but Matt doesn't so Shelby decides to just escape alone in Matt's car, and that's when she hits a woman on the road. The woman isn't dead nor injured and just runs into the woods and, obviously, Shelby goes after her. She ends up getting lost in the woods and that's when she falls victim of a sinister 'ritual'. And, that's how the episode ends.

After the episode, I ended up searching for the story of the roanoke colony and I found out some pretty interesting stuff that helped me understang better the story of, which seems being the theme of this years American Horror Story so, if you're confused, just do a bit of research and you'll understand it a little bit better.

Anyway, afterall, I was a bit disappointed with this season. All the trailers and all the mistery seemed like this season was going to be huge but, from what I see in this episode, is just going to be... ok... But, let's see, maybe I'm wrong.
