Arrow | Season 5 Episode 13 - "Spectre of the Gun"

Like promised, here I am with the new Arrow rant! 

I was actually thinking about rewatching the episode because there were some things that I didn't quite understand but, because I promised you guys a new rant today, I decided not to.

Anyway, like I said, there are still some things a little 'messed up' in my head about this episode. As you know, english isn't my first language, so there's some things that I don't quite compreend and, when it comes to specific terms, like in this episode, there's some things that were hard to understand. I'm going to do my best but if there's something that I said that wasn't what really happened, please tell me, I would really appreciate it.

Ok, passed that, I have to say that I didn't really enjoy this episode.

The main topic of it was gun control and, although it was 'nice' I just think it was too much... Like I said previously, too much terminology and some things didn't really fit in Arrow's universe. But I kind of get why they did this episode.

And, although I didn't really like the episode, there were some pretty interesting things in it like Thea is finally back and, that leaves a lot of suspicious thoughts in people's head.

I'm not going to say this is my theory, because it isn't, but there's some people that think Thea might be Prometheus. I can't disagree with them. The truth is we have never seen Thea and Prometheus in the same room and all this time that Thea was gone, Prometheus was 'gone' as well... Besides, we don't really know if Prometheus is a guy or a girl so... It might be her. I just don't see her purpose so, I stick to my theory - Tommy is Prometheus. I can't really go on with this theory because I haven't really thought about it, I just think it would be a good plot twist.

Then, the next cool thing about this episode was that, instead of Oliver flashbacks, we had Rene flashbacks! It was pretty nice because we didn't really know much about him and how he became Wild Dog, and now we know. We even know that he had a wife and (still) has a daughter, that he just can reach. Which is going to be one of the plots for next episodes, finding Rene's daughter. It's going to be cool.

And, finally, not that important, but something that I liked, Vigilante was back in this episode. Shortly, but it was in it. I haven't been thinking about who Vigilante is, but the other day I came across some 'spoilers' that said that the DA, Adrian Chase, is Vigilante and, looking back, it is so obvious that's him. I mean, people that read the comics already guessed it's him and they are 100% sure. I haven't and I haven't really been thinking about Vigilante, but now that I 'know' this, I payed more attention in this episode and it's so obvious it's him. I'm actually happy it's him because I really enjoy Adrian. I don't really know why but I'm happy that he isn't just a DA and that he might end up be part of Team Arrow, who knows?! I know that somehow Oliver is going to find who he is that it's going to offer him that so.. Yeah, excited for that.

And well, I guess that's pretty much it. I'm not going to get too deep in the 'gun control' storyline because, like I said, there were some parts that were a little bit confusing to me and I don't have a really deep opinion about it, apart from the fact that I didn't enjoy it that much, but I liked the fact that, in this episode, it was Mayor Oliver Queen who handled things and not the Green Arrow. It was nice to have a change.

Arrow | Season 5 Episode 12 - "Bratva"

I'm sorry I took way too long with this post! Needless to say that this is going to be a short one because the new episode is almost starting. But, to make up for it, I promise to post the new rant tomorrow, no excuse!

So, let's get on to the proper rant.

From what I can remember I really liked this episode.

We went to Russia and it was pretty interesting!

In this episode, the flashbacks tied up to the actual present story, and for once in a long time, this was an actual arrow episode, with barely no 'special powers' (apart from Dinah) and it reminded me a lot of Arrow Season 1, which is pretty cool!

From the previews, I didn't understand why they were going to Russia. I was excited, but I didn't understand, but in the actual episode they made it clear. They went there because Walker, the general that got Diggle in prison, was there to make a deal with some terrorists so, obviously, Team Arrow went there to, not just catch him, but also to stop the deal.

Although, a pretty interesting plot twist happens and Oliver doesn't take all the Team. Instead, he leaves Rene in Star City with Lance, who just got back from Rehab. It was pretty cool to have him back, besides that his interaction with Rene through out the whole episode was really funny and interesting.

I'm not going to get too deep into the storyline but two interesting things happened. One, Felicity got pretty dark in this episode blackmailing a guy with the information that she got in the previous episode. Although I liked to see her strong and all, I don't want Felicity to turn dark because she's the light in Oliver's life and that's why Olicity works so... I don't want that to happen.

And, second thing, the finale! Rory stoped a bomb with his rags! And then, the rags don't work anymore and he decides to 'leave' the Team... At least for a while. I didn't really like this either because Rory was one of my favourite characters right now and I really liked to see him working with Felicity. I think he won't be gone for too long, thought so... Can't wait for him to come back.

Shadowhunters | Season 2 Episode 7 - "How Are Thou Fallen"

I know I told you that my next rant was going to be an Arrow rant, and that one is still coming, but right now, let's talk about Shadowhunters.

I'm going to be real with you... This episode just wasn't good.

There were previous episodes that weren't good because they were too cringy but this one was just a real big mess!

Don't get me wrong, I loved the Malec moments (like the one in the picture) and the Simon moments but... It was all really confusing! And, because we are already talking about Simon... What's up with everyone wanted to be with Simon in this episode? It's like the writers/producers thought 'Well, he hasn't been interacting with a lot of the cast lately. Let's make him talk with everyone in this episode!'. I mean, c'mon! I liked all that since with him and Jace in the bar (not because of Jace, that you can be sure) but because of Simon! I love Simon and I love who he is and how he acts and I completely disagree with Jace. True Simon is way better than Jace, in my opinion.

Anyway... First, it's Clary meeting up with him for no reason... Just for us, audience, to see that she's jelous of his relationship with Maia. Then it's Izzy meeting up with him because she wants more yin fen or she wants more vampire venom but not exactly telling him in this words, and then is Jace meeting with him for no reason also, just to mess with him and make him change who he is just to get girls... It was intertaning, but I just think it was too much.

Then, all the Clary storyline with dealing with Cleophas and Valentine and all that... Again, it was interesting, all that stuff about the angel and all but, from what I've heard, I think it's too soon. They're introducing the angels too soo (from what I've heard) and it's just getting really confusing. I liked it though, to know about the angels, but I get if there's anyone 'mad' about it. I'm just not mad because I haven't read the books because, if  I had, I would probably be really disappointed at the show.

And then, my least favourite part of the episode - Izzy.

Again, from what I know, Izzy isn't an addict in yin fen in the books, neither does she have contact with it but they are making her an addicted in the series and I'm seriously not liking this storyline. I get that she has been a little 'off' in this past episodes but... This is not the right storyline for her. I want the strong Izzy we had in season one.

But, because this episode wasn't all bad, let's end with a good note, Malec. Magnus and Alec were really cute in this episode. I mean, they always are but Alec in this episode was super cute and then we also see Magnus really caring about Alec and having his own insecurities and, it was all just really cute! I'm glad we had this in this episode!

And yeah, I think that's pretty much it.

I think this is the worst rant I had like, the one that says a lot of bad things about and episode but, I'm here to say the truth and say what I really think and this was what I thought about the episode.

The Challenge: Invasion | Season 29 Episode 3 - "Helter Shelter"

A new episode of The Challenge aired last night so obviously I'm here to talk about it!

This episode, to me, seemed like really short! I know it wasn't, but it just went by very quickly!

Anyway, overall, I really liked this episode! It had pretty cool challenges, it had a good outcome (kind of) and they didn't focus too much on the drama. I know everyone likes to see fights and drama and all that jazz but sometimes it gets too much and they lost the purpose of the show, which is do challenges and win that money. I kind of think they lost themselves a bit in the last two episodes so it was nice to have a break in this one.

We don't have much of an introduction in this episode, just a few scenes of Ashley talking about/with Hunter and flirting and then we move on to the actual challenge.

This challenge had a few different rules then what we are used to. First, the ones that already have a spot in the Oasis don't have to compete, which leaves Tony, Nicole, Kailah and Dario out of this one.

The actual challenge I don't think it was that hard but a little frustrating, because they had to pair (a guy and a girl) and on a coconut shaped boat and get some 'bags' full of coconuts and then throw them in a basket just like you do in basketball (hope you get the idea, because it is really confusing to explain).

And, I guess I should've seen the beginning of the episode like a hint because Ashley and Hunter ended up winning.

Anyway, then comes the second twist. There isn't a losing team. That's right, it's the winning guy and the winning girl that choose who's going to elimination, so Ashely chooses a boy and Hunter chooses a girl. And then, the other two are chosen by the house, just like in the last episode, guys choose the girl and girls choose the guy.

Ashely ends up choosing Theo because Cory knew and wanted to go but wanted to go with the house vote, so he could choose who he's going against and, since Ashley and Cory have been together in a previous Challenge, she respected him and chose one of the two that he say was comfortable going against - Theo or Shane - Ashley ending up choosing Theo. Hunter chooses Jenna because she's friends with Kailah and he doesn't like Kailah. Kind of a lame excuse, to be honest but yeah, I would probably do the same so...

The house then chooses Cory, like he wanted to, and Anika, because she also said she wanted to go in.

Then, the elimination was actually pretty cool! They said it was the hardest elimination ever (which they always say, but yeah) but, to me, it seemed pretty easy, and I'm a girl that is afraid of everything.

They basically had to grab 5 balls and then jump of a cliff (like a really high one) and not drop any of the balls.

This to me seems easy because it's not strenght, it's not endurance it's just courage, and you just have to rely on yourself and anyone else.

Anyway so, the guys are first and Cory is the first one out of the guys. He does the elimination like really fast and yeah, really hard to beat.

Then Theo... He just quits. I think I don't need to say this but TJ gets really pissed (like he always is with quitters) and, to be honest, I don't really like how they treat quitters in the show. I mean, ok, you know what you're getting yourself into but there's some things that aren't just made for yourself, and you might be really good in hiking, and strenght and swimming and then they do something with insects or something like that and you just quit because you can't so, I'm not really a fan of the way they treat quitters because I think, if I was on the show, I would probably quit some challenge but, in this case, I don't get it. Even I said that I would do that challenge/elimination. I would sure as hell be terrified but I would totally do that!

Anyway, then the girls were both pretty good! Both of them got the 5 balls and it had to go to time, Jenna ending up winning!

It wasn't really a surprise for me because in previous for next episodes Jenna was there with Camila so... It wasn't a surprise, but it was nice anyway.

And yeah, next episode is going to be the final one before the Champs arrive and, in my opinion, I even think they arrive in next episode.

My predictions are that next episode won't have an elimination, just one challenge, and two girls and two boys win and then they all go to the Oasis. Then, in the next challenge the Champs appear and that's how the episode ends. Those are my predictions.

In terms of the four people that are going to the Oasis, I really wanted Shane to go there, the others I don't really care, to be honest. I really wanted Amanda to go home because I really hate her but I don't think she's going. My prediction is that the last four to go to the Oasis are Amanda, LaToya, Nelson and Shane, Anthony and Sylvia going home. Those are my predictions.

The Flash | Season 3 Episode 12 - "Untouchable"

Once again, late with a rant.

Luckily (kind of) there's not a new episode this week, which is both good and bad, because it means that I'm not that late with the rant but that the same time I was really excited about next episode and I'm going to have to wait another week for it.

Anyway, this past episode (the one that I'm going to talk about in this episode) was actually pretty cool but didn't have anything really exciting, besides Jaitlin, which I'm going to talk in a minute.

The episode starts right away with a pretty cool scene, with Barry and Wally racing against each other and the team betting on who is going to win.

In the end, Barry ends up winning because he phased through the building, which leads to the focal point of this episode - teaching Wally to phase.

And, in order to make that happen, besides Barry training and teaching Wally, of course there had to be a villain that pushes the 'superheroes' and makes them do things that they think they can't do.

This week's villain is, of course, a metahuman, another one from flashpoint, and that is after the police, which makes Joe in danger.

This is probably one of the strongest metahumans because he can kill someone just with a touch, which is pretty cool and scary at the same time.

I don't think I need to say this, but in the end Barry and Wally get to defeat him, but what's special about this ending is actually what they end up doing.

Barry ends up phasing an entire train through an wreckage of a bridge, which was pretty cool and something that Barry have never done, while Wally fights the actual metahuman, ending up phasing and exposing his blood to the meta, stripping this meta of his powers.

While all of this was happening, something else was 'happening' with Julian, Caitlin and Iris. So, I didn't say earlier but Iris ends up being 'injured' by this meta, before Wally defeated him, and in order to help her, Caitlin has to use her powers, which might turn her into Killer Frost.

A lot happened, to be honest, but in the end Julian ends up helping Caitling and in the very end they even go out from drinks, which was so damn cute! I think I don't need to say this, but I just love Tom Felton and I can't not love Julian. Actually, Julian is probably my favourite character right now and I really ship him with Caitlin - Jaitlin! A lot of people is saying that this won't probably happen because we have the confirmation that Robbie Amell is back as Firestorm for, at least, one episode. In my opinion, and because I really want Jaitlin to happen, that doesn't mean anything. Robbie might come back just as a memory on Caitlin's mind or something. 

Anyway, that was, for sure, one of my favourite parts of the episode, but the ending was pretty cool as well.

In the end, Jesse comes back through the portal and says that her father was abducted by Grodd and taken to Gorilla City, which means, we're going to Gorilla City next episode!

It's going to be really cool and it's going to be a two part episode, which is going to be even cooler!

And yeah, I guess that's it!

Shadowhunters | Season 2 Episode 6 - "Iron Sisters"

Finally a new Shadowhunters rant!

I got to be honest with you, Shadowhunters isn't my favourite tv show and, the fact that it isn't that well written, kind of puts me off.

Still, it's a good show and I kind of like the story so obviously I'm going to keep on watching and reviewing it here on the blog.

So, just like previews episodes, this was one that wasn't great, but wasn't that bad either. I feel like what stood out the most, to me, in this episode, was the amount of information that we got about little things that weren't that well explained.

For someone like me, that didn't read the books, there were some things shown on previous episodes that didn't really make sense, and most of them were explained in this one, like why does Valentine wanted the Soul Sword. In this episode they explained that.

Clary and Izzy whent to the Iron Sisters and there they explained that it can kill all creatures with demon blood, including Downloaders.

There, we also find out something else. 

To get that information, Clary and Izzy had to get into the Citadel and, before they entered, they had to pass a trial which detected demon impurities. Clary passed but Izzy didn't, because of the yin fen that she had been using.

To me, that was kind of obvious. They were focusing too much about Clary and the fact that Valentine is her father and that she might also have demon blood, just like Jace so, it was kind of obvious that she would pass the trial and Izzy didn't.

I just didn't know why yin fen had demon blood. 

Like I said, I didn't read the books, so I didn't know a lot about it. Luckily, they told us in the episode that it was made with vampire venon and that it doesn't cure things, it does something else.

Besides those informations, Clary also talks with one of the Iron Sisters about the rune that she used in the previous episode, to which she tells her that it couldn't be a vision coming from her mother.

And, in the very end we also find out that that Iron Sister, named Cleophas, not only she's Luke's sister, but that she's also part of 'Valentine's Crew'.

But, this episode wasn't all about bad stuff.

We finally had the Malec date, which was pretty cute. Seeing Magnus talking about all the people that he has been with and Alec talking about the people that he has not been with. It was pretty cute and pretty funny.

And, we also continued on with Luke's storyline which wasn't major. We saw Simon and Maia teaming up and going after Luke.

I didn't like where that was going because I'm a Sizzy shipper all the way so... And plus, since now Izzy has vampire venon in her system, she can be with Simon. Just Saying.

Anyway, that was pretty much it guys.

I don't have many predictions apart from the fact that Aldertree is clearly hiding something and that he's not good. I'm starting even thinking that he's working for/with Valentine so... I don't know, let me know what do you think.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 8 Episode 12 - "What Are You?"

Oh My God, The Vampire Diaries have seriously been steping up this last couple of episodes!

I don't know about you, but this episode, once again, left me on a rollercoaster of emotions!

Obviously we already knew this was going to be an hard episode since last week's one ended with huge twists, so that was what we had to deal with in this episode, plus some really good surprises at the end of the episode!

So, I think I'm going to start with Stefan.

From the previous we knew that Stefan was going to be arrested and all and, since now he's human, that is just a mess. Obviously there's still Damon and Caroline around that can fix this problem, which is what eventually happens. And, while I was watching the episode a second time (because yes, I had to watch it twice because of the twist that happens in the end) I started thinking that, how come we went from Matt being the only human around to basically just having Damon and Caroline as Vampires?! Seriously, this is really weird because now Bonnie, Stefan, Matt, Alaric, Elena and Dorian are the humans and we have Caroline and Damon as the Vampires (since Enzo died. I still think he's coming back but yeah)! It's just an huge twist!

Anyway so, like I said, Caroline goes and fixes the police issue but then another issue comes, Cade. Cade goes to Damon saying that now that Stefan is human he has no use to him and since the deal was for two immortal brothers, the deal is off, but (of course there's a but) Cade is going to kill Stefan and send him to hell unless Damon gives him an old book written buy one of Matt's ancestors. Obviously Damon doesn't think twice and goes get that book/journal. 

At the same time, Matt is dealing with some visions which we then find out that it's because of he's connection to the book. So, Alaric doesn't give Damon the journal, at least, not until they find out why Cade wants it. In order to find that, they hypnotize Matt and that's when we find out what really happened all those years ago. That Matt's ancestor and Bonnie's ancestor created the Maxwell bell and then encountered Sybil and Selene, who forced Matt's ancestor, Ethan, to ring the bell twelve times and send hellfire to the town, killing one hundred people. We also find out that Beatrice, Bonnie's ancestor, was the one to trap Seline and Sybil and the vault and that she also traped Ethan because he was under the siren's spell. And, it was while he was there that he wrote on the journal how to kill Cade. 

Matt then wakes up but, by that time, Damon already left with the journal, giving it to Cade.

Meanwhile all of this is happening, we also see how Bonnie is dealing with Enzo's death.

She doesn't want to talk to anyone so Caroline thought it would be good that call Bonnie's mum, and so she appears at Bonnies house. It was really nice to see her back because we didn't really get much of her so it was nice to see one more character back to this season.
Bonnie's mum helps her with grieving but that's when Bonnie tells her that Enzo has been calling out for her and that she need to help him. Somehow, they find out that Bonnie opened a door to hell and that she needs to close it. Bonnie passes out and so Bonnie's mum sets Enzo on fire, breaking the connection.
So, with this, we realize that those waves we saw in the end of last week's episode wasn't Bonnie getting her powers back but, instead, opening a door to hell, just like when Cade screamed when the village people first killed him, before we became 'the devil'.
Back to the main storyline, and getting to the best part, Damon then goes talk to Alaric, who his really pissed because Damon gave the journal to Cade. Damon tells Alaric that he read the ending of the journal and he knows how to kill the devil. So, they go into the vault and Damon shows him the weapon, the weapon that we earlier saw Ethan with. And, the best part!
While Alaric and Damon are making plans to kill the devil Kai appears and says he has a better idea!
Can you heard me screaming!?
That's right guys, my baby Kai is back and next episode is going to be all about him!
I've been waiting for this moment since the end of Season 6 and it finally happened!
I seriously can't wait for next episode!
The preview for next week looks so cool! With a lot of Kai in it and I'm sure, with a lot of plot twists because, something that I didn't mention earlier, also in the end of the episode, someone kidnaps Stefan! We don't really know who it is but, after watching the episode twice, and watchin the preview about 10 times, I can say it is either Katherine or Bonnie! It is clearly a girl, because the person his smaller than Stefan, so it can either be Bonnie, because she's pissed at Stefan, or Katherine, after getting out of hell just like Kai did.
So, yeah, a lot of mysteries for next episode!
And, about my predictions... A lot of things have been happening like, I said that in this episode we would be looking for a way to kill Cade, which we did, and that next episode Kai would appears, which is also happening. Ok, Bonnie didn't got her magic or it wasn't Enzo who talked to Kai but I said that Matt would be important in this, which he was! Also, in the end of this episode, Dorian wanted to talk with Alaric about something, which he ended up not talking because Damon showed up so, there's still a possibility that Dorian might be related to Cade so... Let's see.
Now, my theory that Bonnie brings Enzo back is a little bit shaky... With Kai's come back, I just thought that the writers could go on another route and make Bonkai happen! It's unlikely, but it can still happen.
In the preview we see Bonnie doing some type of magic or something so, maybe she did got a magic back and she might be trying to bring Enzo back?! Who knows...
But, we also saw in the preview that Kai said he's willing to bring Elena back so... My theory that Bonnie is going to become a vampire probably won't happen.
If she manages to brng Enzo back, she will still want to be with him, but with Elena awake, doubt she will want to be a vampire but, you never know. I'm going to stick to it because that's what I said from the beginning!
About Stefan... I still think he's going to be the one to die and I think my ending is really strong and highly possible so... Stick to it 100%!
And yeah... Now I just have a lot of questions about Kai. Like, What does he want? (because he's not willing to bring Elena back just from the goodness of his hear), from the preview it seems like he just wants to get away from hell, but lets see. Also, Have he been thinking about Bonnie all this time he was in hell? and Are we going to have a Bonkai ending?
Let's see what next episode brings.
