Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 11 - "Blood Calls to Blood"

Spoiler Alert!

So, here I am, once again, with a new Shadowhunters rant and, I have to say... What an episode!
This was probably the best episode so far and, even thought we didn't have much Alec or Malec in the episode, it was pretty good!
Something that I really enjoy in this series is that it always start where it left of, which is great because I watch so many series that sometimes I don't remember how the last episode ended.
Anyways, as I said before, the episode started right where the last one ended, with Jace's father.
They left Valentine's hidding place and got to Luke, because they were still 'mad' at Alec and what was happenign at the institute so the only place they could go was where Luke was, who was actually with Simon.
The first thing they started to work out was how to cure Jace, since he had demon poison in his blood. With Simon's help, and afterwards, with Raphael's help, they got some blood from the Vampire's supply. Jace got fine in the end so they started to work out the next thing they still had to do, get Jocelyn back.
So, with Jace's father help they got to know where Valentine was hidding now and so they decided to go there.
I have to say, just like Clary, I've spent the whole episode feeling something off about Jace's father. Also, because I've heard some theories about him that he could actually be Valentine like with an 'hiddin' spell.
Well, turns out both me and Clary (and all the other people with this theory) were right and it was Valentine 'under' Jace's father image.
And, for once, Clary was smart and also did a 'hidding' spell or somthing to the Mortal Cup when she handed it to 'Valentine' (who was still in Jace's father form). She had the cup the whole time and with that she could give order to the demons that where about to attack them.
Was also in this moment that we found out about Clary and Jace being brothers (which, by the way, I think isn't really true because I've been seeing some things saying that it's Sebastian who's Valentine's son so... I don't know, I haven't read the books so all I know is what I heard people say) which mean, from now on, I don't know anything of what's going to happen, because all I knew was from watching the movie.
Anyways... While all this was happening, in the institute, they were sending Isabelle to the trial.
Isabelle then decided that she wanted Magnus as her 'lawyer' and so he defended her in the trial, which was pretty cool. Probably the best part of the episode, because the relationship betweetn Alec and Isabelle and between Alec and Magnus and Magnus and Isabelle was so cute!
And, the very ending when, after everything, Clary and Jace get back to the institute with Jocelyn and Clary gives Lydia the Mortal Cup, when Alec goes to Izzy and tells her that she's free... It was so cute!
And then, after that, when Magnus and Alec talk about the 'payment' for Magnus being Izzy's 'lawyer' as also pretty cute. Now, I just can't wait for the next episode because next episode's name is 'Malec' so there must be a lot of Malec happening in that episode! So excited!
Anyways guys, I know this post was a little bit 'confusing' but a lot happened in this episode and it was kind of hard to explain... I hope you didn't get to confused.
Also, hope you liked it and don't forget to give me your opinion about the episode in the comments.
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 10 - "This World Inverted"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello!
So, here I am, once again, with another Shadowhunters rant. It seems like it's going to be just Shadowhunters rants for the next couple of weeks, because the other series are on hiatus.
Anyways, I was pretty excited for this episode. Not that I was thinking it was going to be amazing, but because I've been so into Shadowhunters and the Shadowhunters cast this last weeks so I was excited to see a new episode and, it was actually pretty good!
The main story of this episode was the alternative universe (a little bit like The Flash) and something about that got me really excited and 'happy' about this episode.
The episode begans with Meliorn showing Jace and Clary the portal, the only way they can find Valentine. Clary ends up going alone to that alternative universe and that's when the good part beggins!
With something like this, of course there's a catch. If Clary gets too much in to this alternate life she may be stuck in that universe, so all the time she stayed there she kept trying not to get in too deep, which was hard because her life in that universe was like perfect.
It was so cool to see the other characters playing a different type of person like, Izzy being the geek girl and actually dating Simon, which was so damn cute! And Alec being the sassy one, and Jace working in a coffee type of trailer (I don't what I should call it, but I guess you understand). Jace and Clary were also dating in that universe too so it was also nice. And, I have to say, Jace was actually my favourite character in this episode. The moments between in and Clary were so cute and I've forgotten I much I liked Dominic so... Nice!
Meanwhile, in the real world Jace and Meliorn protect the portal to the other dimension and that's when a demon appears and, because Alec is trying to find Jace through their parabatai bond, which not only weakens their bond but also weakens both of them, which makes Jace 'weak' and the demon gets through the portal.
With that, Jace decides to get through the portal as well to help Clary and try to kill that demon, but in the alternative universe the shadowhunters 'don't exist' so it was going to be difficult to kill the demon.
They get to kill the demon afterall and, with the help of the alternative universe Magnus they find the portal that leads them to Valentine.
I should point out something in this moment, which was one of my favourite parts of the episode. When Magnus is trying to get into the party in the institute they don't want to let them in and it's Alec who let's him in. Magnus is there to help Clary so he kind of 'ditches' him and in that moment Alec says a line that Magnus said in the 'real world'. I can't remember the actual line but it was something about playing hard to get and that he loves a challenge. I loved that scene because it was like they switched roles. So funny!
Anyways, back to the story...
Clary and Jace arrive at the place where Valentine is hiddin, to find Jace's dad, who was suppose to be dead. And that's how the episode ends.
Oh, Isabelle is also arrested because of everything that happened in the last episode and that's why Alec was trying to find Jace, so he could find the Mortal Cup and then give them the Mortal Cup in exchange for Izzy's freedom.
And, that's basically it!
It wasn't like an huge episode, but it was quite funny and it was a different type of episode for Shadowhunters.
Now, I can't wait for the episode where Alec is marrying Lydia because, besides the fact that he looks so handsome in the pics that I've seen, with that white suit *heart eyes*, I've also heard that someone is going to stop the wedding so... Excited for that!
Let me know your thoughts about this episode and, also, what do you think about the fact that the series was renewed for Season 2? (and yeah, Season 2 is happening!)
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 9 - "Rise Up"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello everyone!
So, I'm back with a new Shadowhunters rant and, I have to say, I'm so glad Shadowhunters are going to keep airing because every other series that I follow is on hiatus and I wouldn't have anything to watch.
Anyway... About this new episode... It was a good one, even though Alec kind of pissed me off a little. I do tried not to be angry at him but, his looks weren't enough. Still, this episode had a lot of nice stuff... First, even thought I don't ship them that hard we had a lot of Jace and Clary moments (if you guys know their ship name please tell me because I have no clue).
Something pretty awesome in this episode was Simon. Simon has been a little 'shut down' in this last couple of episodes but I guess it was all because this episode was coming.
Basically, Simon is now a vampire and has to 'learn' how to be this new self, and that's what this episode was about (or at least, some of it). It was/is pretty interesting to see his character development because he start as the best friend which had/has a crush on Clary and now he's becoming more 'independent'. I feel like he's going to be one of the best characters in the series, along with Isabelle, of course!
And, talking about Isabelle...
I don't know, but something is off with her. I don't feel like he's the same... I mean, I think that's what they're trying to show but I prefered the 'bad ass' kind of Isabelle. I kind of miss her old self and just how 'sexy' and confident she was. She still is, I know, she just doesn't show it off that much. Still, in this episode it was pretty nice to see her trying to save Meliorn, they kind of look cute together... But I still ship her with Simon and I hope we get to see that soon.
Something that really surprised me, and not just in this episode but in the last couple of episodes, is how Raphael is important in the storyline. When we got intruduced to his character I never thought he would play sucha big role in the plot, but he's getting pretty big and, I actually like it!
And, well... That's basically it... I'm not even going to mention Clary because... You know how I feel about her.
Tell me your thoughts in the comments. Did you liked this episode? What did you think about Alec? Did he made you angry as well? Let me know everything!
Love,
Daniela.

The Vampire Diaries | Season 7 Episode 15 - "I Would for You"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello! I know... I'm a little bit late with this update but, since there won't be a new episode in the next 3 weeks (which is pretty sad) I thought there wouldn't be a problem with updating a little bit later. I also know that you might want to know my opinion about the episode as soon as it airs but, for that, I live tweet every Friday so, if you want to keep up with my thoughts in real time, you should follow me on Twitter @danixinhahhh and live tweet with me, I would love to live tweet with you and share opinions!
Anyway, so... Unfortunatelly, this wasn't another crossover (I'm still going to mention The Originals in the end of the post, because I can't cointain myself) but it was still a pretty good episode and I feel like it's going to be even better from now on, but about that, I'll talk later.
This episode was all about trying to stop Rayna. Obviously, Stefan couldn't do it so instead, Valerie and him went after more of those herbs that Freya gave him because the ones that he had were finished already.
Meanwhile, Damon tries to kill Rayna, but with no luck, she just kept going back to life. That's when Bonnie tells Damon that the armory was keeping the eight people that gave their life so that Rayna could live longer and that just 3 of those people were still 'alive', if we can say that.
Right in that moment, Damon kills Rayna one and another time. Now, he just had to kill her one last time and she would be dead for good and Stefan would be 'free'. Well, that's when things got tricky.
Enzo than informs Bonnie that Damon can't kill Rayna 'for good' because if he does, everyone that is marked with the X will die also, and that includes Stefan.
To be honest, I just hated that 'storyline'. Seriously, now that Stefan was free from Klaus, they make him 'linked' to Rayna. They just can't leave him alone, can't they?!
Anyways... Of course Damon doesn't kill her and Stefan just keeps on the run. He talks with Caroline asking her about going away with him but, as we expected, she doesn't want to leave Ric and the babies so Stefan just moves on with his life and, well... I guess that's how he ends up with Valerie.
We still don't know much about how Caroline ended up married to Alaric or how Stefan got back with Valerie, but I guess we'll find out in the next episode... In 3 weeks!
Also, a big part of this episode was Matt and that we figured it out! How he ended up 'working' with Rayna. So, Matt kind of expels Stefan and every vampire in Mystic Falls.
Oh, and let's not forget about Damon shutting himself in a coffin and, of course, the scene betweetn him and Bonnie, which was super duper cute! I mean, it was kind of sad, it actually made me cry but... it was cute at the same time.
And, from that, we go to the flashforward!
Basically we see every flashforward that was presented to us in the previous episodes. We see Matt kidnapping Stefan for Rayna, we see Damon going after Rayna, we basically see everything and now everything makes sense. Also, we see Rayna telling Stefan that he doesn't want to kill him and that he can pass the mark to someone else, but that someone else must be Damon because that's him who deserves it. Of course, Stefan tells her no but that's when Damon shows up and tells him it was his idea, and that's basically how the episode ends.
I'm guessing what we are going to see from now on are already after the 3 years time, even thought I'm still super curious to know how Bonnie and Enzo are going to end up together. I guess we'll see some flashbacks, then. You see, this is why I said it's going to be even better from now on. We are going to see how everything turned out to be like it is now and this storyline between Damon is Stefan is so much more interesting! I seriously can't wait for the next episode!
And, like I said before, I had to mention a bit of The Originals, because this episode was also amazing! First of all, we got to understand why Caroline didn't find Klaus in New Orleans in three years time (or well, I think I understood... They might make a plot twist) and besides that... lots of Kolvina moments! Ok, I'm going to stop here because if I start talking about Kolvina and Kol I might not stop! I'm just going to say this, I'm so glad Nathaniel Buzolic is back! Ok, That's it!
So, I hope you guys liked this rant and again, I'm sorry about the delay.
Tell me your thoughts in the comments (you might also talk about The Originals, I don't mind) and I'll see you with a new TVD rant in three weeks.
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 8 - "Bad Blood"

Spoiler Alert!

Ok, first of all, let's take a moment to appreciate my first Alec banner! He's just too perfect! You don't even have to ask who was my favourite in this episode because you already know the answer. Well, in this episode and in every episode, basically... Alec is just my fave.
Anyway, let's stop talking about Alec and get into the actual rant.
This episode was basically all about Simon becoming a vampire. That, and the strugles of the Lightwood family.
Clary has to make the tough decision in either Simon ends up dead or a vampire. Obviously, we know from the start that he's going to turn into a vampire because, afterall, he's one of the main characters but, I have a question... For you, readers of the book, please tell me if Simon really turns into a vampire in the books, because I would really like to know. Let me know in the comments.
Anyway, Clary has to make that decision and she only has a day to do it.
Meanwhile, in the institute, a new character arrives, Lydia Branwell. She's coming to take over the Institute for a while, while the clave decides if, basically, it can still be in the hands of the Lightwoods.
Also, while all of that is happening, Luke is attacked by a forsaken sent by Valentine. He ends up killing it and then, the dead forsaken is taken to the institute to be analysed.
Let me just say, I really liked the fact that they mention Lisbon in this episode, when Alec and Lydia were talking, while going to check on the forsaken. I always get really happy when series mention my Country or my city. Just wanted to mention this. Anyway, going with the episode...
After analysing the forsaken, Isabelle discovers that is has angel blood, and that's when another forsaken appears in the institute and attacks Hodge. Alec then appears and both of them fight it and Hodge ends up killing it.
But, I have to say, the most surprising moment of the episode, for me, was when Alec proposed to Lydia so their families could 'fight' together. I seriously wasn't expecting that at all, and mostly, because Malec was pretty close to happen. It will still happen, I know it, but it was still pretty surprising for me.
The very last scene of the episode is Simon 'coming back from the dead' as a vampire and thinking of him as a monster and not as the old Simon.
I have to say, that last scene was pretty touching and Katherine is slightly improving her acting because, in that scene, I really felt for her. I was almost crying so... That means something.
Ok, guys, that's it for the Shadowhunters rants. By now, you probably are already tired of shadowhunters because my last three posts where about it but... I was so behind I just had to update everything. Hope you don't mind. And, don't forget to leave me your thoughts in the comments.
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 7 - "Major Arcana"

Spoiler Alert!

Hello guys! So, here I am, once again (like I told you) wih another Shadowhunters rant!
This time, the episode was actually good, and nothing like the previous one. I feel like the previous one was good but a little bit boring, when this one was pretty amazing!
In this episode we finally find out where the Mortal Cup is (even thought, a lot of us already know where it was).
So, the Mortal Cup is hidden in a tarot card, which is in Luke's desk at the police.
Well, I don't have to say much for you to figure out that they are going to have loads of problems to get that cup/tarot card back.
At the beginning, the plan seemed pretty simple and easy to do... Luke just had to go in there and get the card, but as he's about to, he is detained by the internal affairs and Clary and Jace are left to work out a plan for themselves.
Eventually, Clary and Jace work out a plan that, let's say, doesn't work out that well and one of the officers that was friends with Luke ends up dead.
So, they have to work out a Plan C, because leaving without the cup isn't an option. They ask for Alec and Isabelle's help and they get the card but they are also tracked by demons.
They decide to split up. Clary, of course, gets trapped by a demon and that's when she manages to take the cup out of the card and get the demons to go away. She goes back to find Jace and Isabelle and that's when she's approached by a deamon pretending to be Jace and... She kills it!
This might not seem like a big think but it was, because it eventually links with the end of the episode, where Clary comes back to the institue, to a worried Jace and... That's when they kiss for the first time! I have to say, that was probably the only time that Clary wasn't annoying. I still don't ship them as hard as I ship Isabelle with Simon... but still, it was cute!
And, while all of this happens, Simon is strugling with the fact that he's becoming a vampire which, we find out at the end, that he really wasn't but... He might be now!
That's all I'm going to say for now folks!
Hope you guys liked the rant and expect another one pretty soon... The last one! (for today, obviously)
Love,
Daniela.

Shadowhunters | Season 1 Episode 6 - "Of Men and Angels"

Spoiler Alert!

Hey guys!
So, first of all, I want to say that I know that I'm really late with the Shadowhunters rants and I'm really sorry about that.
Things have been going crazy lately in my personal life and I've been thinking that maybe 4 series to rant about is too much. I seriously don't want to stop ranting about Shadowhunters but if this starts happening often I might stop doing them.
Anyways, let's start with the proper rant.
In this episode, everything's about getting Luke better. After being injured by the alpha he's feeling some type of poison and, of course, Clary, Jace and Simon take him to Magnus.
While wonder that poison, Luke kind of allucinates and so, because he doesn't know if we'll get better, he asks Magnus to tell Clary everything about her mother and Valentine.
While all this happens, a lot of issues also happen with the Lightwoods and now, besides Alec and Isabelle's mother, their fathes and younger brother also appears and, I have to say, I really hate their mother! She's really b*tchy and seriously, I just want to slap her.
After that, Isabelle informs Alec about their parents plan and, annoyed with them, Alec leaves to go to Magnus' lair and help him getting Luke better.
They end up saving Luke and that's when he tells Clary everything about what happened, includding about her brother, Jonathan Christopher (which we know that is, in fact, Jace, or, at least, in the movie, it was).
And, right before the episode ends, Clary finds out about a new power of hers and that's when she realises that she knows where the Mortal Cup is!
So, after this episode, I realise that I really hate Katherine as an actress! Or, at least, her playing Clary! She's just too annoying! And, in the bright side, Matthew is just amazing as Alec! So, yeah, my least and favourite actors/characters.
I know this is a pretty short rant but, understand that, I have 2 more Shadowhunters rants so... I want to keep it short.
Let me know your thoughts about this episode and expect 2 more rants pretty soon.
Love,
Daniela.
