Arrow | Season 4 Episode 17 - "Beacon of Hope"

Spoiler Alert!

New Arrow episode, back to the pass... Kind of.
So, in this episode they brought back a character that have already been on the show. Actually in both The Flash and Arrow shows still, I have to admit, I didn't really remember her until they explained what happened in the episode(s) that she was. I am talking about Brie Larvan.
Brie Larvan orchestrates a plan for her early release from priso and goes after the micro-chip that made Felicity walk again.
She goes into Palmer Tech and Felicity, Thea and Felicity's mother end up 'trapped' in the building.
Knowing about what's happening in Palmer Tech, Team Arrow start organizing a rescue plan and that's when the best part of the episode happens, Curtis finds the Arrow Cave and kind of joins the Team.
I have to say, Curtis being part of the team was really cute and funny and, even thought he's not Felicity, I wouldn't mind if he took her place. I mean, I love Felicity and I want her in the Team more than anything but... Curtis is also a good alternative and I do enjoy his character a lot.
So, with Curtis help, Team Arrow arrive at Palmer Tech but Oliver is stung by one of Brie's bees, so they have to come back to the bunker.
They find out that the bee is actually inside of Oliver and that it's replicating itself. Luckily and, once again, with Curtis help, they come up with (another) plan and they end up being able to control the bee(s) inside of Oliver.
Meanwhile, at Palmer Tech, Felicity, her mum and Thea get to rescue the board members that Brie was holding hostage. Unfortunately, Brie finds Thea and Felicity and they're not able to go with the board members (and Felicity's mother) to the 'hinding place'.
Brie finally reveals the reason why she wants the micro-chip and Felicity ends up giving her the prototypes for other micro-chips.
Curtis gets to shut down the bees with a virus and end up using them against Brie, making her stop for good.
On Flashbacks Oliver goes after Reiter for then to realize that Reiter already have some kind of magic from the idol, even though not all the power that it is able to give him, that's why he wants/needs the idol. His powers dwindle while he was fighting with Oliver and he ends up escaping through the tunels.
Overall, I feel like it was kind of a(nother) filler episode. Sure, it had some good scenes, really funny moments and I really liked Curtis in this episode, but still, we haven't really gone through with the story, the main one, the Damien Darhk story.
Ok, we had a few bits of him in this episode but they weren't major, apart from the last scene, which was an huge cliffhanger!
Anyways, this were my thoughts about this episode. Let me know yours in the commenta below, I would love to know what did you think of this episode.
Love,
Daniela.
