Spoiler Alert!
Hello people!
Finally! Yes, for some reason, this week it was super hard to find episode 2 of the new season of All Stars but I finally found a link (hit me up on twitter if you happen to need one) and so I'm here to talk about it.
This episode was the continuation of the last one and I'm a bit bitter about not having everything in one episode but, with the amount of stuff that happened in this episode, I guess I kind of get it.
What an emotional episode! Starting out with who they wanted to pick and ending with that elimination! And thank god they showed everything about the nominations and whatnot because I was super confused. But basically the two winners pick four people (two guys and two girls) and then, the rest of the house, pick the one girl and the one guy. So, Derrick and Jodi when to Nehemiah and Ayanna asking who they wanted, but Ayanna didn't give them any names and Nehemiah gave them two, but one of them was a good friend of Derrick - Ryan - so he didn't go for him. They did pick his other choice - Derek - and that's when things get emotional.
Their picks where Derek, Steve, Leah and Casey and, in the end, the house picked Derek and Leah. They had a party and then the episode hits us with something really deep. Before getting to the challenge, Derek got a phone call telling him that his little sister had killed herself and that just hits everyone - them in the house as well as the viewers. It's something so heavy and really makes us think, as well as root for Derek because we just feel really sorry for him. And when they get down into the elimination, we actually get our hopes up. It's guys vs guys and girls vs girls, no teams, and Nehemiah is doing pretty great, but suddenly Derek gets going and, in the end, it's really neck-a-neck. Nehemiah does end up winning, which is kinda sad, but we are just really happy and proud of Derek for giving his all.
When it comes to the girls, oh boy! Ayanna killed it!! She was even better than Nehemiah - it looked like those things were light as a feather... It was really impressive! And, to make the episode even more emotional, after Ayanna won, she went and helped Leah to finish the first round just to make her feel better and make her feel like she was a strong woman! It's amazing the camaraderie in this season! At least, as of now...
To finish it off, TJ told them that, because they won the elimination, they won a Shield, which means that they can save themselves from nominations or can save a friend but then can't vote on the Selection. I'm still a little bit confused by this but I guess I'll find out what it means in the next episode.
