The Sinner | Season 4 Episode 4 - "Part IV"

Spoiler Alert!

Hey!

Back with another rant and... it looks like I was wrong.

This episode started out right away with finding out that the body on the water was, indeed, Percy's body. That was a little bit shocking but, unfortunately, the remaining of the episode wasn't as good as the previous ones. This episode was really slow and, truly, the only genuinely good thing to come out of this episode was Sonya and Harry splitting up. I guess we can all agree that no one liked her and she really wasn't good for Harry and wasn't helping him getting to the bottom of this - which is what we want and what Harry needs in order to be fulfilled.

What we suspected was also sort of confirmed this episode - there was something going on between Colin and Percy. What we saw in this episode was just them going on boat trips and Colin trying to get Percy to 'get back into' religion. Unfortunately, it looks like someone else got her into another religion and that's why they had a fight and they weren't really talking.

The episode actually ends with Harry connecting some of Percy's drawings to the 'Legend of Bazegw', a folktale from the island. And then, Harry goes to the beach and founds some sort of altar with more stuff related to this tale as well as one more drawing from Percy and, as I saw someone theorize, this drawing looks like a monster holding a baby so... Maybe there's still possibility that Colin got Percy pregnant, the family tried to hide everything and maybe made her get an abortion or something and she felt really bad about giving up on her baby. Looks like a solid theory, however, I've realized that every single episode goes where we think it's going so the show is really playing us well so... I bet there's something else, and something to do with those women doing some sort of ritual.

But I guess that's it for this episode. Not as good as the previous ones but we're getting closer and closer to the truth so... We'll see... I only have one more episode to review so, hopefully, it will be up before the new one comes out but I can't make any promises.

Still, I'd love to know your thoughts and theories on this season and I'll talk to you soon.

Love,

Daniela.
